Mandalorian Shmi and how this changes everything au.

Basically, before being a slave, Shmi was mandalorian young woman from a loved and strong family, something something happens and she is caught on an ambush, her beskar stolen and she is sold as nothing less than a thing.

Shmi was born Cyme(Shee-mey), She started to be called Shmi because the slave dealers couldn't get her name right as it was originally wrote in Mando'a. I am not sure from what clan she would have came from but this will be important later. But i could always use Kemi'tra as her surname.

Shmi survives because her family will eventually came to her rescue, also they surely would fight the Jedi for Anakin.

Te Dralyc Kar Ch 17 WIP

The world around him blurred and there was a rushing sound in his ears that he couldn’t place. Someone was yelling but it sounded far away as Jango grabbed the edge of the console to keep is feet beneath him, hands shaking with the force of his grip. Looking back at him with dull eyes and a gaunt face was a ghost of the past he thought he’d left behind him. A past that had been torn away from him violently by Kyr’tsad.

“Jango!” Someone grabbed him by the shoulder and he reacted without thinking, striking out at them blindly.

Thankfully it was Kal, who knew more about him than most of those now under his command, and the verd was ready for him. He was dragged to the floor and pinned with one arm behind his back and the other pressed between his body and the cold stone.

“Get a grip, Alor! You don’t want your ad seeing you like this, do you?”

The words were like a shot from a stun bolt right to the chest. Just thinking about his little An’ika, a precious gift from the Ka’ra, had him pushing aside his boiling anger until his thoughts became less frantic and more clear.

“Are you back with us Alor?” Kal asked, not letting up on him for even a second.

“Yeah. Let me up.” His voice felt strained, had he been yelling?

Kal held him down for a moment longer before sighing in relief and letting him go. Neither of them apologized for their actions. Most Mando’ade understood trauma and the kinds of reactions a verd could have to it.

“Who are they, Jango?” Kal asked, but what he really meant was ‘why did you react that way?’

Jango took a deep breath before speaking loud enough to address the room. He knew all their eyes were on him now. After an outburst like that who wouldn’t be watching their alor warily to ensure they weren’t about to go berserk? “Arla Fett- my ori’vod.”

There were a few gasps and muttered curses as attention was turned back to the photograph.

“I didn’t even know she was still alive. Kyr’tsad killed my buire when I was eight years old, and I thought they’d killed her too.”

“Manda preserve us…” Someone muttered nearby.

“What do you want to do, Alor?” Kal asked, fists clenched and shoulders squared.

“What’s in the text document? Is there any information? Any demands?” He turned to the verd who had decrypted the files.

“Alor, there’s a set of coordinates for what appears to be a dead drop. They say they don’t want anything getting back to them so they’ve picked a neutral planet in the mid-rim. It looks like a simple trade world, mostly recreational, with no standing army. The best they have are royal guards for their current monarch.”

Jango frowned. Why would they send him all the way to the mid-rim for a dead drop? “What planet?”

“Naboo.”

AU Idea: As Mandalorian, Anakin swore to never show his face, but then he met Rystáll. During his visits in Jabba's palace, the pair soon realised that they have much more in common than they thought.

It could end only in one way...

Thinking about Anakin in my Ben Manaia AU.

He's raised with love by his mom, by Ben, by N'ala and Hive and Mansoor and all the other Manda'ade that he meets on his new homeworld of Vorpa'ya. He grows up learning to accept his anger and his fear and to use it to power his better emotions, not to smother them. Turning his anger into justice and his fear into protectiveness.

Ben is buir and ba'vodu and Ori'vod all in one. His mom is there when he says the Resol'are. She is there when he takes his verd'goten. She is there in his life, every step of the way.

His armor is black, orange and gold. When he was four, Ben led the Mandalorians who freed the slaves of Tatooine. When he was 13, he started helping free the slaves of other outer rim planets. He is Anakin of Clan Manaia, of House Mereel, one of the last Haat Mando'ade.

(He met Jango Fett once, at age 5. The Battle of Galidraan did not go the way it did in another world, but it was still a tragedy. Jango Fett lost so much, but he did not lose it all. That came later)

He meets Senator Padmé Amidala when he is 20 years old, during the height of the Clone Wars. It is not love at first sight- Padmé is there for peace talks with separatist planets, Anakin is there to find the secret slave trader hiding in the planet's government.

Anakin is rude, and presumptuous. He is not the sweet boy Padmé would meet in another life. Padmé is unchanged-she is proud and brave, and kind, most of all. Anakin is kind as well, and it takes only a day into their unfortunate four day of working together to figure this out. When Anakin kills the slaver, when he saves a Twilek child, Padmé takes his hand in hers. In it is a comm number.

The Cabur B’kih are not Separatist, or Republic, nor do they sympathize with either. They're here to help those who cannot help themselves, to train those who need training.

Anakin ruins a Jedi Operation with Ben and N'ala at age 21, and once again saves a slave planet. In doing so, he meets Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Padawan Ahsoka Tano for the first time.

(Ahsoka is not Jinn's apprentice. She is the apprentice to Aayla Secura, but as Ahsoka was undercover as a slave, her Twilek Jedi master could not be her slave master)

Ben kills the Queen, N'ala destroys all the bombs and chains the other slavers, and Ani talks with the slaves. Here he meets Ahsoka, who tells him proudly that she's a Jedi, and that she had it handled, no need for him to be here. Anakin tells her to stop snipping and help him unshackle the others.

(It is only Ben, who still recognizes Jinn after two decades, that stops N’ala from killing the Jedi. Jinn does not- cannot- recognize Ben though his beskar’gam. Ben keeps it that way. The group of three part from the group of two, Ani and Ahsoka gleefully bickering till the end)

Besides the small bubble of Anakin's life, the galaxy as a whole does not change. Some planets lose to the Separatists, some to the Republic, some are freed by three Mandalorians, touched by Dral Manda. Anakin meets with Padmé again and again. After the fifth time he does it on purpose.

Their first kiss is on Naboo, in the gardens at night, hidden away. They do not marry in secret, as they do not marry, not yet. Anakin has no reason to hide, nothing to grasp into tightly in fear that it would slip through his fingers. Senator Amidala is courting a Mandalorian Freedom Fighter, the holonet says. ‘At least they’re not saying terrorist’, Ben will say.

The clones- who are they cloned from? Jango Fett, still lost but with something to still gain in this world? Pre Vizsla, doing anything to create a more powerful Death Watch? Someone else, someone unknown?- still have chips in their heads. The galaxy still falls.

Darth Sidious had no Anakin Skywalker in this world, but he did not need him. Any powerful pawn would do. A Sith kills the Jedi in the temple, even the Younglings.

(Is it luck, or the Will of the Force, the Will of the Dral Manda, that made it so Ahsoka Tano was not with her Master, was not in the Temple, was no where near her troopers when the Order was Given? Ahsoka was with Padmé, asking her if Anakin could bring her those Batuu pastries next time he stops by to visit Padmé).

Padmé takes Ahsoka, and together they run. And they run to Anakin. The Galaxy falls, and they- Anakin, Ben, N'ala, Shmi, Hive, Mansoor, Padmé and Ahsoka- all wait to see how it lands before they do anything. They watch- they plan.

In this world, it is Anakin who starts the rebellion.

In this world, Luke and Leia Manaia-Naberrie are born a year and a half after the rise of the Empire, instead of the day of.

In this world, much has changed.

Anakin has two blasters, a jet pack, a whipcord, a purified lightsaber (that's a story for later) and his family with him.

In this world, some things stay the same.

Anakin kills the Emperor, with his son by his side.

(His daughter, Leia , and his family in every way, Ben, was there as well, but what they were doing is also another story for later)

And yet people try to praise Anakin or Dooku for “leaving a corrupt system”. As if that was why Anakin left. As if Dooku did anything but make it worse. People praise the Mandalorians for only following their own rules. As if we’ve ever seen the Mandalorians truly stand for anything.

As if we don’t already have the most metal anti-authoritarian, badass character for people to praise.

And yet these parts of the fandom hate him. I wonder why 🤔
