Thinking about Caleb and Evelyn...

On my head, Caleb died at his 35 years old and on that he had three kids...one he never had the chance to meet

The oldest was Philip(yes I named him after him because would be more emotionally damaging) was 8 years old

Brett shows off his puppets one time and Mabel is immediately so excited theyre puppet buddies now. Also he needs to teach Mabel how to sew because she sews like she's closing an open wound and it looks fine but its time-consuming and. so concerning (Stan taught her how to sew and he was raised in the 60s he wasnt taught how to sew clothes)

on Mabel's defense...i string stitch is a string stitch.

She loves the ideas and enjoy the time making puppets with Brett. Once Dipper saw a Puppet Dipper 2.0 and he just turned his back(trauma) but he smiled at how happy Mabel was.

Diane cant relate to Stan and Tamiko the same way they do eachother because she IS a scientist and she ISNT dating someone a decade older than her thats flakey and egotistical at best. But she Does really enjoy them and when she joins the friend dynamic changes from 'oh the dumb young trophy spouses are hanging out because there's nothing better to do while theyre at Cognito' into genuine friendship without pretenses, also no one can tell how they have peaceful conversations when they all talk. So Much. no one can talk to all three in a conversation because its like trying to drive a boat in a storm theyre all talking fast and changing the topic so quickly and they steamroll over anyone that isnt them

At first Diane was the "bridge friend" you know? The friend in common.

She has her chilling friend group and her science buddies and this is fine, you don't need only be friends with who is 100% like you.

She loves science but with Tamiko and Stan she can talk about other interests without it always going back to lab and research and weird experiments...she can talk about horses and about how she want to ride one while listening to the song of their favorite tv show...they agree

Tamiko and Stan were actually friends long before Reagan was born because they kinda had a mutual understanding - they were both young and dating older, richer men for the obvious reasons (also love, but that wasn't the hook). It was nice to have someone in the room not talk down to them for being younger and less educated in science, even if their backgrounds were pretty different. Tamiko thought Stan's comics were charming, Stan thought Tamiko's dime novels were nuanced, they beta-read for eachother and watched period dramas, they got along pretty well (with a lot of teasing about Tamiko being a brat and Stan being a bum)

Okay now, there's a thing me and my cousins do since young because our grandmas would do it.

It was to go to one of their houses to watch telenovela together, now I am imagining Stan and Tamiko having this kind of thing, like one day is at Stan's other is at Tamiko's were they watch their period drama and talk about it together.

They also fall into the "my partner is into dangerous shit and i need pretend i don't know what is happening but i am 100% being told"

This was not the friendship i though i wanted but is sure the one i needed....
