Once again I am begging the mouse to put more obscure characters in it's spin off games.

....ok so I know dreamlight valley hasn't even got some of the most popular characters yet (give me Maleficent. GIVE ME-) but. They've already pushed for Oswald. They've got atlantean locations. The first character you meet is Merlin and i'd hardly call the sword in the stone, beloved as it is, one of their most popular films. (Did I smile so hard my face hurt at meeting Merlin anyway? You're goddamn right I did I love that old man)

I've not bought the rift in time dlc yet - soon - but I can already tell you I'm putting the black cauldron cast in this game through sheer hubris.

Yes I'm predictable. No I don't care. This little sim lets me play house of mouse at chez remy and I so badly want to make HK pizza and watch his little friendship meter tick higher. It's a pyramid of needs thing dammit.

Sidenote - I know a lot of the original voice actors are dead - but would it kill a multimillion dollar company to put a *bit* more effort into the voice acting? Smh Scar and Ursula just don't sound quite right and it's driving me mad.

Disney 100 ✨🏰🤍

Wishing you all a happy new year and to Disney, a belated 100th anniversary! 🎉

To celebrate Disney’s century milestone, I created an illustration based on 100 of Disney’s most known and loved characters from their respective movies/ series. I’ve included all the ones I’ve known and feel are generally popular but I’m sorry if your personal favourites aren’t here.

This has been in the works for almost four months now but due to many delays I couldn’t finish it on time. So here it finally is!

Out of all these range characters, the hardest to draw was the Cars. I’m not used to drawing cars so I’m not generally good at them (yet). Some of these may look simple and easy to draw but trust me, they’re not 😂.

With drawing the characters and the background, I like to be accurate with the respective style it’s drawn/ animated in and the colours too. But also I wanted to also simplify the 3D ones and add a little depth using shadow to the 2D ones. For example some of these films would have a desaturated grainy effect to it and I wanted to keep that. But finally after months of working on it, it’s completed and I’m happy with it! ✨.

Assorted KH4 Predictions

Yozora shows up almost immediately after the fight with the Darkside, prompting Sora to run for the hills. He proceeds to avoid Yozora for at least the first half of the game, like that one meme of a floating guy chasing another guy down a hallway

To make up for the limited selection of Disney worlds, there are a number of sidequests related to Disney characters who have also ended up in Quadratum. I can see the Sanderson sisters being the antagonists of a side story arc - while they’re really popular Disney villains, Hocus Pocus likely won’t be made into a KH world anytime soon

Some of the cutscenes make offhand references to a “strange man dressed in red and black,” leading to the audience thinking that the game’s building up to a fight against Genesis (like how the bonus boss fight with Sephiroth in KH2 was heavily built up to). Then it turns out the real boss is Deadpool

Vanitas is in Quadratum since he was still in Sora’s heart at the time Sora got Thanos snapped there. He’s now stuck in the form of a Flood and is very grumpy about it

Sora runs into Vanitas while Strelitzia’s showing him around Quadratum and immediately makes it his mission to redeem his brother by resocializing him like a feral cat

The 14th life that Xehanort mentioned in Dark Road is revealed to be a Replica he stashed in Quadratum that managed to achieve sentience and develop a personality of his own like Xion did

Aside from being a Xehanort clone, Nort-14 is a normal city kid who has no idea who tf Sora is or why this random guy hates him so much

Vanitas tries to beat the shit out of him on sight

After spending some time as a Very Confused side character, Nort-14 gets roped into some Keyblade-related bullshit that serves as his, Vanitas, and Sora’s get along sweatshirt and leads to him joining the group

We finally get to find out what Demyx’s deal is!

Speaking of Demyx, he’s also in Quadratum and gradually grows into the role of Sora and co.’s goofy, incredibly irresponsible older brother figure

Either the Hundred Acre Wood returns as the side world (since Sora gets there by going into a book, he could theoretically still access it due to Quadratum being “the world of fiction”) or we get a side world based on the Muppets

Nomura finally gets his musical

Luxord is revealed to have been secretly working with Oswald the entire time in order to take down the Master of Masters

Also, since Quadratum is rendered in a realistic art style, that means that Oswald looks like a normal rabbit

Not counting the sidequests, a lot of the side content is just Sora and co. vibing in Quadratum

One of the Disney worlds is the Land of the Dead from Coco

Riku spends most of the game lost in the city, finally reuniting with Sora during the endgame only to find that his childhood friend is now besties with a sapient Unversed, a younger version of Xehanort, that weird guy he met in the Keyblade Graveyard that one time, and some random ginger girl

We get a couple of cutscenes showing what’s going on back in the regular KH reality, one of which is Lauriam searching for the other Dandelion Union leaders and Strelitzia in Twilight Town. He runs into Namine and the two awkwardly stare at each other while Kill Bill sirens blare overhead before Laurie just “nopes” out of there

Demyx’s relation to the Age of Fairytales isn’t brought up until relatively late in the game but not because Demyx is trying to avoid more work or anything. After thinking over Xemnas’s whole speech, Demyx just figured that Mansex was lying out his ass (like he always does) and doesn’t think to bring it up until it becomes relevant in the plot

Baldr is there to Cause Problems On Purpose, serving as a side antagonist like Maleficent and Pete in KH2. He serves as a parallel to each of the Quadratum kids - both him and Sora have special hearts that can easily connect to others, both him and Vanitas are the “dark half” to their lighter sibling, both him and Strelitzia struggled over insecurities that their older sibling didn’t have, and lots of fun can be had with Baldr interacting with Nort-14

Once Upon a Studio (Series) Season Two; Episode Three: Prescott’s Valentine Mystery

(A special episode)

Info: It’s Valentine’s Day and Prescott had received a letter from his secret admirer which made him wonder who is his valentine’s date.

Characters that would be part of this episode: Gremlin Prescott, Gremlin Gus, Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the Mad Doctor, Rapunzel, Eugene, Anna, Kristoff, Jasmine, Aladdin, Cinderella, Prince Kit, Aurora, Prince Phillip, Belle, the Beast, Lumiere, Olaf, the Genie, Hades, Maleficent, Hercules, Meg, Peter Pan, Wendy, Chip, Dale, Basil of Baker Street and Mushu (properly more characters since this is a special episode of season two and Valentine’s Day is my favourite day of the year)

Hint: This episode is based on House of Mouse: Goofy’s Valentine’s Date, Anna was the one who give Prescott a love letter as his secret admirer, Mickey and Mad Doctor decided to give each other a chance in secret, Goofy and Mortimer tried to help King Magnifico to win his ex-wife Queen Amaya back, Chip and Basil hanging out as a sign that they might be dating, Hades and Maleficent are still dating since House of Mouse: Halloween with Hades, and both Judy and Nick had a crush on each other but not ready to tell each other as they hanging out together

Summary: (beginning) It's Valentine's Day and Magnifico is sad that he thought his ex-wife Amaya doesn’t love him as the day use to be their favourite time of year to spend time together. Mortimer offers to demonstrate how to pick up women, but his own attempts all prove fruitless. And Goofy decides to help the king to win his queen back.

Meanwhile, Prescott, doesn’t have someone to spend time with, receives a love letter from his secret admirer and try to figure out who it was, with the help of Lumiere’s advice to show love and respect to the woman as the gremlin doesn’t know how to be a good gentleman.

Mickey was about to go on a date with Minnie when he spotted the Mad Doctor who was only helping Charlotte with the decorations for tonight, Mickey goes to Doc and tell him to meet him at his bedroom tonight as he had something to tell him.

(End) Goofy tells his friends; Minnie, Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, Donald, Daisy, Clarabelle, Mickey and Gus that Prescott figured out who his secret admirer really was - Anna! Much to Elsa and Kristoff’s surprise but decided not to ruin the moment as they saw Anna and Prescott enjoying ice cream together.

Mortimer was about to be roasted by Magnifico after all the ideas went wrong when Amaya stopped him by telling him that Valentine’s Day wasn’t the same without him and they decided to put their differences aside and spend time together while it lasted. Hades and Maleficent are pleased to see them together again, much to Mortimer’s surprise.

Later, Mickey went to Mad Doctor’s room and tells him that he’d like to give each other a try as a relationship in secret before they share a kiss.

While we're at it, while it's not entirely clear when she turned evil, we DO know from the same production materials, namely a pre-release pamphlet that was distributed, that Grimhilde had also subjected herself to a Faustian deal in her backstory, presumably well before she became Queen of the land. I believe it said she sold her body and soul to the dark spirits located in the Har[t]z Mountains of Germany in exchange for gaining sorcerous powers (maybe also her status as fairest in the land as well, since there had to be a reason why specifically she was obsessed with finding out who was rivaling her in terms of outer beauty, and let's not forget, Faustian deals ALWAYS have a catch to them that spell a REALLY nasty end to those subject to those deals). If she wasn't evil to begin with, she certainly crossed the threshold when she sold her soul.

Oh yeah, and the Dwarves horrified comments upon learning why Snow White was in the cottage, and especially her familial ties to Queen Grimhilde, were another hint at her tyrannical nature even BEFORE Snow White found herself to be a target for assassination.

Come to think of it, when you put everything together, she was actually a LOT worse than Judge Claude Frollo EVER was. Frollo you could argue was sexually immature (it's heavily implied especially in Hellfire that Esmeralda was literally the first time he ever had any ACTUAL sexual feelings at all, and so was completely inexperienced regarding that bit [a late bloomer if you will]. By contrast, deleted scenes and production materials made it VERY clear that the Queen was a repeat black widow, often marrying princes [yes, she even married and slayed princes. She specifically mentioned a Prince Oswald as being among her skeletal victims] and kings specifically to take their lands and then offing them, with Florian merely being her latest victim. Really found Frollo being ranked as the most evil Disney villain to be EXTREMELY overrated, as most of the villains before him were definitely a LOT worse. If anything, Frollo even with his darker traits was one of the more REDEEMABLE villains ultimately.).

It's definitely extremely bad they're acting like she's not the bad guy, when she most certainly was, even independently of Snow White (of course, that being said, she has it easy compared to Maleficent. Unlike Grimhilde, who even in Fairest of All, where she WAS treated sympathetically, it's nevertheless made clear she fell into evil and doesn't end up redeemed, Maleficent actually WAS turned into a full-blown good guy in an actual movie [and Maleficent is even LESS likely to have even ONCE been good].).

Disney clearly is a propaganda machine opposed to elderly, single women.

Why The Queen Isn’t The Real Villain In Snow White

...This is almost the plot of Timeless River in Kingdom Hearts II.

Like. It doesn't go as far back as to the Alice and Oswald era, but. The core of the plot is that it all derives from Pete's nostalgia for "the good old days" (the bad old days?) when he had power and recognition and respect as a villain/antagonist. I like it a lot, actually, for what little amount of character depth and pathos it gives him, and how it relies on, albeit a small selection of, his long history as a character for that pathos.

And it also inadvertently makes him the most powerful character in the series, because his nostalgia was apparently powerful enough to tear a hole in space and time and violate all of the series's later established rules of time travel, which none of the other villains, even the supposedly more powerful and important ones managed.

But at the time, it was, mostly, a (limited) tribute to the long history of Disney animation, and, to a point, Pete's role in that history, albeit focused mainly on Steamboat Willie. A time that Pete, evidently, missed, back when he didn't have to deal with any of the mythological or magical nonsense of other Disney villains like Maleficent and Hades, or the anime magical nonsense of the Kingdom Hearts series. Back when he could just own a boat, pollute the environment, abuse his employees, catcall women, lie, cheat and steal, and be the biggest baddest threat around.

Honestly, it's even more poignant, and even tragic now, with the way that Pete has only continued to be irrelevant in the Kingdom Hearts games since. And while there's maybe some nitpicks about parts of that. There's something great there about how his meta, out-of-universe story, the story he has in real world animation history is the same as the story he has in-universe, in the actual plot.

1520 words; takes place in the Getting the Hang of Things ‘verse; since this particular storyline has Twelve as a stay-at-TARDIS dad for the first eleven years of the kids’ lives, this isn’t necessarily his “turn”, but more “business as usual” and although some of the stereotypical “mom comes home to find the house reigned by chaos” is at play in this, it’s definitely more of just that anything Time Lords do involves chaos and little else

It was the third week since Clara had begun going back to work.

The first week was easy and felt like one of her holidays, where she’d go back to Earth and see a few people and prove she was still alive and not dead in some countryside ditch. Surviving the second was a bit rougher, as she had only returned for the weekend, and it was rare that she’d done that. They’d all been a bit clingy that Monday morning, but they knew that they had to let her go.

When they reached the third week, however, it felt as though it was never going to end. The Doctor was sitting on the steps in the console room, tuning his guitar as the twins colored quietly, hoping quietly for the sweet release of Clara’s presence to arrive sooner than he thought. It was only Thursday, which meant that there was still a whole, entire, excruciating day left before Clara once again walked through the TARDIS doors.

“Daddy… where’s Mummy…?” whined a voice. The Doctor had less than a second before his daughter draped herself over his shoulder, impeding his ability to tune the guitar. “Why has she been gone for so long?”

“She’s at work,” he explained. Another weight dropped on his other shoulder and he knew that James had joined them. “Mam isn’t the kind of person to stay at home all the time. She needs to be able to talk to other people and see other things or else she’s liable to go absolutely mental.”

“You aren’t the kind of person to stay home all the time either, ‘cause you’re already mental,” James pouted.

“...and how would you know that?”

“Mummy said so,” the boy stated.

Of course… somehow, he couldn’t be cross at that admission.

“She needs to be here,” Alison groaned.

“Yeah,” her brother added. “We want to have a tea party, and Mummy makes the best tea.”

“Is this to say that I don’t make a decent cuppa?” the Doctor asked.

“It means we want Mummy to do it,” Alison insisted. “We want to have a tea party with Mummy.”

“Well, Mam’s at work, so Dad’s going to have to do,” the Doctor said. He stood up, allowing the preschoolers to cling to his shoulders as he placed his guitar back on its stand and started to head towards the kitchen. The kids slid off his back and dropped to the corridor floor, bouncing along as they followed their father through the inner workings of the TARDIS.

“You mean, you’re gonna have a tea party with us?!” Alison gasped.

“Of course! I thought you liked tea parties with Dad.”

“I don’t remember having a tea party with just you, only you and Mummy,” James noted.

“Well, go set up now!” the Doctor insisted, shooing the children down the corridor. “I want the table to be ready when I get there!”

The pair of three-year-olds rushed down the corridor to the nursery, arms extended like airplanes as they sputtered towards playtime. Their father shook his head and chuckled, stepping into the kitchen to make the aforementioned tea. He got together a whole pot of decaffinated Earl Grey tea, along with a plate of Jammie Dodgers, a plate of windmill spice biscuits, and three stroopwafels. Once everything was on the tray, he carried it out of the kitchen and down to the nursery, where James and Alison were finishing setting up the low-sitting play table with their toy tea service. Both of them lit up in excitement when they saw their father, jumping up and down as he placed the tray down.

“Alright,” he said, sitting down on a cushion. “What’s the plan?”

“Daddy, you can’t sit down,” Alison insisted. “You need to be propertly dressed first.” He glanced down at his t-shirts, jumper, and hooded sweatshirt combo and raised his eyebrow. “I can’t believe that you want to have a tea party and aren’t going to be propertly dressed.”

“Aren’t you a little young to be worrying about being properly dressed?” he fired back.

“It’s the rules!” his daughter insisted, smacking her tiny fists on the table. “Daddy, you’re embarasstming. If you don’t follow the rules, then tea will be ruined”

The Doctor swallowed hard as he realized that there was no escape—he was going to have to comply with The Rules. Not made by him. For once. Rassilion curse him.

It had been a long four days in when Clara finally returned to her flat that Thursday evening. Setting down her keys in their dish and kicking off her shoes, she felt more tired than she had in a long time. Getting back to work properly again was really straining her, which she had a feeling was going to happen, just not to the degree to which it was knocking her directly onto her arse. It was worth it, though, as she was getting reacquainted with her chosen profession and catching up with not only a bunch of her former coworkers, but seeing the progress that some of her students had made since before she went on her “sabbatical”. She shuffled into her slippers and picked up a small device from next to the dish her keys sat in, pressing the button. It whirred softly, glowing a gentle green, and she put it back, carrying her marking further inside the flat as she went towards her bedroom.

There, in the corner, the TARDIS was materializing. She was hoping that she would catch her family by surprise, that her children would squeal in delight, while their father would start planning for later on that night when they were alone again. Entering the ship, she noticed that the console room was decidedly empty—the only evidence that anyone had been there recently was some abandoned coloring books and errant guitar picks.

“Doctor? Kids? Guess what? There’s a fault with the toilets at work—we’re going to be closed for a week…” She began to investigate into the whereabouts of her family, cautiously going through the corridor. They weren’t preparing dinner, nor were they in the library, or the study…

Ah, she found them! They were in the nursery, huddled around the short play table in the middle of a presumed tea party. Clara couldn’t help but laugh as she saw the Doctor sitting there, translucent costume wings strapped to his back, while he wore on his top half one of his frilly shirts from his dandy days and the patchwork-colored jacket from another time she knew he’s rather forget. All three were alerted to her presence at the sound of her laughter, the children elated whilst the Doctor was mortified.

“Mummy!” Alison and James exclaimed as they scrambled to their feet and began to run towards her. Their own play-costume wings flapped as they bounced across the nursery, not caring about the state of anything anymore, all because Mummy was home. They both crashed into her legs as they clung to her, not wanting to let go now that they had her again.

“So here is where you are,” she smirked. “I was wondering what was keeping you.”

“Aren’t you back from work early?” James wondered.

“I am, but that’s because there is an issue with the building I work in,” Clara explained. “The issue is so bad that I can’t go back for a week.”

“Did someone get hurt?” Alison squeaked.

“No, no—just some toilets began to explode and they’re going to need to completely redo the plumbing,” Clara said. She popped up on her toes as the Doctor came over and bent down, pecking her on the lips. “Admit it: I’ve seen you in worse states.”

“Yeah, you have,” he agreed, face tingeing pink. “How about if Mam finishes up the tea party, while Dad starts to put together dinner?”

“Coward.”

“Yeah.” He patted the twins on the head and gave Clara another kiss before walking towards the door. “I’ll let you know when dinner’s ready.”

“Nuh-uh—you won’t get off that easy,” Clara insisted. She pulled the Doctor back towards the table and had him sit down, the grin on her face absolutely insufferable. “Sit, sit… tell me about your week.”

“Mummy, you need to be dressed propertly too!” Alison gasped. She somehow pulled a fourth set of wings from the closet and handed them to Clara, who put them on as one would a backpack.

“Now all the Royal Faeries are here,” James stated. The boy placed a couple biscuits on a plate and put it in front of his mother. “Her Lady the Faerie Queen has joined her family for tea!”

“Does that mean then that you are the Faerie Prince and Princess?” Clara asked. The children nodded excitedly, and she turned towards the Doctor. “That must make you His Regal Highness, the Faerie King.”

“What else would I be?” he shrugged, sipping on his own cuppa in an effort to seem nonchalant. “It was part of the rules, right kids?”

“That’s right!” Alison said. “Rules are rules!”

At least there were worse rules to have to follow.
