Summary: You go home early from work due to your mental health. Lilith, Zelda and Hilda try to cheer you up.
Character: Zelda x Lilith x Reader
Warnings: None
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey, you’re home early.” Ambrose said. You shut the door and take off your shoes and backpack and shed off your jacket. Ambrose notices your weird mood.
“Are you alright?”
“No. I’m not having a good mental day right now. I just want to be alone.” You grab a bowl of freshly sliced fruit and head upstairs.
“Alright, hope you feel better.” Ambrose watches. He picks his phone from his pocket and dials a number. “Hey aunties, do you think you can come home right away? Y/N is not feeling good mentally. You’ll be home soon? Alright, bye.”
~~~~~
Knock knock. “Hello darling, it’s aunt Hilda, I brought you some snacks. Ambrose called us and said you weren’t feeling good,” Hilda peaks in and sees you laying down in a fetal position. You stare into space, totally unplugged from reality. Hilda comes in and gently sits down on the bed and places a comforting hand on your leg. “I brought you your favorite, hot Cheetos.” She places the small bag in-front of you but you don’t look at it.
“Hilda, we’ll take it from here.” Zelda says, Lilith is behind her.
You hear her voice but don’t look.
Hilda looks at her sister then at you before getting up and leaving. Zelda and Lilith come in and shut the door. Lilith walks over and picks up the bag of Cheetos and gives it a nasty look.
“Is there anything you want us to do?” Lilith asks.
You shake your head.
“Want us to lay with you?” Lilith asks. You nod. They understood and climb in the bed. Each take one side of your body and quickly warm you. You instantly feel better and grab for the Cheetos.

The monster within you
part three here
Lilith/Madam Satan x reader (most of all)
Tumblr media
four
The air is crispy outside, the setting sun is turning the sky into a bluish tinge. A light breeze blows through your hair, and gently tickles your already rosy cheeks. Lifting your knees up, you rest your chin above them, then lazily circle your legs with your arms.
The relic is right next to you, on the porch bench where you too are sitting. The temptation to put it on is so strong to cause you a wave of sickness in your stomach. But you made a promise to both Zelda and Cordelia, that you intended to keep.
As you stare anywhere but there, you find yourself spiraling, thinking of all the possible scenarios regarding your family history. On one hand, you wish your parents were alive. It's true they gave you up, but maybe they had no choice in the matter.
It soothes you to think they wanted to offer you a better chance in life. However, there was another side of you that didn't believe that. It could be that they gave you up for selfish reasons only, or a tragic accident occurred, and just like that you were left orphaned.
You crinkle your nose and fidget slightly.
Turning around, your eyes bore into that piece of cloth again. As you do, you feel a chill run up your spine, both due to the chilly air outside and the irrational fear of the unknown.
You aren't scared of the possibility of getting physically hurt. It's more the emotional damage that keeps you stalling. You find yourself reviving your memories that dated back to your life with them, before Greendale, New Orleans, Zelda and Cordelia. You really thought they loved you. Up to a point, at least, they did.
When magic showed up, everything went south.
"My, my, aren't your thoughts loud?", it's the voice of a woman you've never heard before.
Blinking softly, you lift your chin and find a slim figure standing in front of you. Your eyes bore into hers, and when you do, you're sure to have never seen a clearer hue of blue before. Before you can ask her who she is and what she is doing there, the woman talks again.
"You need to be more careful, princess," her admission is meant to sound like a scold, but her gaze is soft and kind. "I've been watching you for quite a while and you never noticed," she chants with an arched eyebrow, as to prove a point.
You scoff lightly and can't help the amused smile curving your lips, "I wonder what's so interesting about me today to have so many visitors my way", there's a hint of sarcasm in your voice that doesn't go unnoticed.
The woman steps closer and hums, "many things."
You chuckle slightly, "careful there or I'll end up believing I'm special," you tease.
"You most certainly are," the brunette remarks firmly.
Your brows knit in confusion, failing to grasp her point. She lets out a sigh and takes the remaining steps left to close the gap between the two of you. She gestures to the empty spot next to you, as a permission to sit down. When you give her a hesitant nod of your head, she beams down at you.
"Every witch, of course, guards something special, and you aren't less of them."
"What's your name?", you inquire, completely ignoring her previous statement.
She gives you a subtle grin, eyeing you with the corner of her eye so as not to miss your reaction, "I'm Lilith, and before you wonder, yes, that Lilith."
Blinking in utter disbelief, your mouth parts slightly ajar, unsure of what's the best to say. Then, you shoot up, "I-I'm so sorry your... majesty, I had no idea," your cheeks flush a darker hue of pink.
Her calm response surprises you.
"There is no need to apologize, princess. And please, let's keep aside the formalities. Lilith will do," she insists, eyes roaming over you without any malice.
You blink softly, still partially in trance.
That behavior of yours elicits a fond smile to tug at her red lips. With a single finger the first witch prompts you to sit down again next to her and you oblige quickly, maybe too quickly because she laughs again.
"Do you wish to come inside?", you ask awkwardly.
She shakes her head, "that won't be necessary, no. Unless you want to," Lilith doesn't fail to notice the little goosebumps that have risen over your skin.
"I'm okay," you state quietly.
Lilith stares right into your eyes, as to make sure you are being honest with her. A part of her thinks you're not, but she decides not to pressure you further.
"Do you plan to use it?", she questions, referring to Lucia's relic, folded between the two of you.
You blink and look down, "I think so. It's the sole way that can help me understand who I am," your voice comes out almost whispered. It causes Madame Satan to feel a weird pang in her chest.
Taking it in between your hands, you later ask, "can you tell me more about it?"
Lilith shifts in her spot, scooting closer to you, "well, it's complex and unpredictable," her expression hides a veil of concern as she speaks.
"I've been told," you nod, a tad discouraged and frustrated to be honest.
"The relic's both blessed and cursed, and that's what makes it so powerful," when she tries to take it from your hands, you let her.
"Could it turn me blind?", your voice is hesitant and a bit fearful.
The way her eyes shoot open at your unexpected question almost elicits a giggle out of you.
"What in the world are you saying now?"
"Not my thought, but Zelda's," you clarify.
You spot a hint of amusement veiling Lilith's eyes, a warm flush to her cheeks as she shakes her head, remembering the redhead witch's temperament very well.
"When I mentioned that the relic belonged to Lucia, Saint Lucia, she totally freaked out."
Lilith hums amusedly, "I'd have been surprised if she did not," you feel yourself nodding at that.
"She's a weird witch, your partner. The softest matriarch I've ever encountered."
Scrunching up your nose, you comment, "You don't want to say that to her face."
It was funny how despite Lilith being Queen of Hell, you still 'feared' Zelda's reaction the most.
Lilith scoffs and pats your knee, "I already have, on several occasions," she mutters in a whisper, as if that was supposed to stay a secret between the two of you.
You never thought the Queen of Hell could be that fun. But you sure expected her to be more...intimidating. It was strange that she looked exactly like you expected her to be. Of a timeless elegance and graciousness, like someone that could bend everyone to her will, both with violence and softness. That's what probably intrigued you about her.
"To answer your question, I don't think the relic has the power to turn someone blind, simply because it's not its purpose."
You nod at that, reasoning out loud, "it's meant to help people see."
"True, but I'd advise you to be cautious regardless," she adds apprehensively. When she brushes some hair from your face, you're genuinely taken aback by what appeared to be an odd and unexpected display of affection.
You blurt out, "I will. I can do this," the intent to reassure her has also the aim to encourage yourself.
Playfully humming, she nods, "you do look like a badass."
"That's a huge compliment, thank you," your tongue peeks out of your mouth as you smile. A gesture that makes Lilith's insides melt and twist.
She scoots closer, and stays silent for a moment, staring into the starry sky above you. A pause follows in which both of you are comfortable, adjusting to each other's presence.
"You've got a nice family here, haven't you?", when she suddenly speaks again, your eyebrows shoot up. "Zelda and Cordelia are taking good care of you, are they not?"
At the mention of your girlfriends' name, your cheeks turn a deep hue of pink. You silently wonder how she knows of all these things about you, despite having a slight idea yourself.
"How do you know about that? About me?"
Playfully tapping your knee again, she says, "I'm Queen of Hell, princess. Nothing gets past me."
That answer seems reasonable enough. Sighing, you look up at the sky, only to close your eyes a moment after, "I just want to know where my place is; well, where it used to be," you exhale softly, trying to imagine the face of your mother and your father.
Lilith glances at you with soft eyes, remaining wordless. She reaches for your shoulder, offering you a light, encouraging squeeze. Another display of affection in which you find a surprising comfort.
"Wait, considering you know so much about everything, any chances you know about my parents too?"
That question stunned Lilith, however she tried her best not to show. Her mouth falls agape, in search for an answer buried deep down her throat. And suddenly her chest feels too small for her heart to fit, for her to breathe.
"I'm just joking. Don't try so hard," you tilt your head to the side, chuckling slightly.
"Right, sure," she admits with a wry smile. You frown, feeling like there's something she isn't telling you. Maybe you caused offense, without noticing?
"About your adoptive family," your breath halts in your chest as she speaks again, "what was it like?"
Her face dims a little, when you take an extra minute to think about it.
"I had a happy childhood," your voice is thick with emotion, there's honesty in your words, mingled with some blatant white lies you hoped she wouldn't notice. "Everything a kid could wish for: a nice house, the prettiest room— a couple of close friends in the neighborhood."
Leaning forward, the Demoness runs a hand across your back, up to the tip of your hair. You crane your neck towards her, and she takes advantage of the opportunity to tug a piece of hair from your face, to better grasp the shades of your eyes.
"They loved me until they couldn't."
You blink away the beginning of some tears, while Lilith's hand freezes on the spot that's now your cheek, "What does it mean?", you bite your lip, your eyes are slightly averted now.
"When they discovered I was a witch, everything changed and they started ...fearing me," you sniffle, eyes shutting closed for a moment, "but they failed to see that behind my powers rising, there was still the same old Celeste. Their... daughter."
Feeling her hand brushing against your cheek, you turn around, to look back into those icy eyes. "Oh, princess," she coos sadly, and you try your best to compose yourself. The pain in your eyes is hard to mask and stabs Lilith's chest like dozens of celestial daggers.
You exhale shakily, forcing a smile out of you, "when I decided to leave and they made no effort to stop me, I knew it was for the best."
Lilith's features morph into so many different emotions that you struggle to identify. She appears haunted by questions piling up into fragile sand castles swaying in the wind. You're not sure anymore if she is mostly mad, concerned or incredulous. It's probably a mix of these.
"Yet you think of them as good people, why?", she breathes out in disbelief. Her features hardened a bit, as well as her posture, however, her eyes remained soft, even veiled with tears she wasn't allowing herself to shed.
The answer came out as easily as ever.
"They took me in, loved me in their own way. Even if I wasn't theirs," you point out.
Lilith tries to say something but you beat her to it.
"I will not discredit that love just because it didn't last forever," it sounded reasonable to you, despite the deep crease between your brows.
Lilith swallows a lump in her throat and stays quiet, despite having many things to say.
"You're so sickly sweet," that's the response she decides to go for.
Your hum quizzically, "why does it sound like an insult?"
Lilith bites back a laugh as she takes in the priceless expression on your face, "maybe because it is," she jokes, with an arched eyebrow.
You roll your eyes, but smile amusedly, "you know, for being the Queen of Hell, you're wildly nice."
"Excuse me!", Lilith fake gasps and pats your hand, shooting you a glare. "You got some nerve saying that to me, princess," there is no seriousness in her features, despite her best attempts. You see a spark of joy in her eyes, but you could be wrong.
"What in Hecate's name is going on here?", you'd recognize her voice anywhere.
You suck in a breath before pressing your lips in a thin line.
"Zelda, my dear friend," Lilith makes a face before begrudgingly pulling away from you to take in the two witches standing at the front door. "It's so nice to see you again," there's a hint of sarcasm in her tone that makes you sputter.
How bold and fearless she can be?
The witch stares at Lilith eerily still and calm, too calm, "I must admit you got a great timing," she reasons with a scoff, "always showing up when there are matters to sort out."
It sounded like an accusation to you, a devious one but still.
Lilith groans and waves a hand nonchalantly.
"Celeste, who's this?", Cordelia asks you, a look of concern in her brown eyes.
"Well, she...", you sit up, leaning a bit forward, as if in need to introduce her properly and with due respect. However, the first witch spares you the trouble.
"I go by many names, I'm known as the mother of demons, the dawn of doom, Queen of Hell, but you can call me Lilith."
Zelda winces in disgust, whereas Cordelia's eyes grow bigger. Her brain momentarily feels like going short-circuit. "Oh my," her mouth parts slightly, "It's a pleasure meeting you, your majesty," she bows her head as a form of respect, causing Lilith to grin from ear to ear.
She likes being praised, you thought.
"Cut the crap, and state your business," Zelda spats.
Both you and the Supreme glance at the redhead as if she had grown a tail. As for Lilith, she remains unshaken, absolutely unbothered by her tone and ways in her regards. Probably because she was used to being treated like that by the eldest of the Spellmans.
Sighing, she gets up and smoothing her skirt while doing so.
"Can't I answer the prayers of one of my witches in need?", she asks, sure to have a point.
You decide to keep to yourself that that was a lie. You didn't know why you felt the need to have her back. Maybe because she had yours without even waiting for you to ask.
"Celeste's name is not even in the Book of the Beast, why would you care about her?", she questions, crossing her arms over her chest.
Ouch.
"I do not discriminate, for your information," the Demoness states as calmly as possible.
Zelda lets out a humorless chuckle, "since when you're so benevolent?"
You knew of their troubled history, as you have been told by Zelda herself, plus the perspective of both Hilda and Ambrose. They didn't start off on the right foot, but eventually things went better. You knew Lilith had manipulated Sabrina into following the path of the Dark Lord, but you also knew that in the end, Lilith turned her back on him, and killed him herself. It wasn't exactly a redemption, you're well aware of that, but who, in this life, is sinless?
Lilith's aura gets a bit darker, a clear sign she is growing impatient, "do I need to remind you I kept your beloved Sabrina alive countless of times, while you were totally unaware of her doings?"
Low blow. You suck in a shaky breath, spotting your girlfriend's face turning pale. Cordelia, as well, winces as if she had been the one to take the blow.
"Wipe your mouth before talking about my niece," she warns, dangerously low. "We both know you did what you did because it was convenient to you."
"I believe we already talked about this," Lilith talks back. She later drops her shoulders, and when she does you realize her last intention is to fight with her or anyone of you. "I do come in peace, Zelda. No funny business."
"It's true," you decide to intervene on her behalf, standing tall next to her. "She's been nothing but nice to me. If you don't want to believe her, believe me."
"Nice?", Zelda echoes in disbelief. "Since when the Queen of Hell performs kindness on a daily basis?", she asks you, but eyes her.
"Ah, you know, I felt up for a change today," Lilith pipes up with a fake smile.
Chuckling bitterly, she comments, "say that to someone that doesn't know you."
You feel yourself rolling your eyes, before tiredly pinching the root of your nose. Why did everything turn out to be a big deal?
"Alright Celeste," a brief, nervous smile crosses the Supreme's face, "you should come inside," reaching out a hand towards you, she eyes you with hope in her eyes. Concern hidden behind a mask of composure.
You open your mouth to say something but Lilith precedes you once again.
"She is right" when you frown in response, she continues, "you're actually freezing out there, aren't you?"
"Maybe a little," you concede, with a small smile that Lilith soon reciprocates. You Cordelia draw you close and can't deny the fact that you feel immediately warmer and better in her arms. However, you feel sorry for Lilith. A part of you doesn't want to say goodbye yet.
"Would you like to stay?"
She laughs softly and shakes her head, "I think I've intruded enough. You three should rest, it's pretty late now."
"That's probably for the best, yes," the redhead agrees with a firm nod of her head. She takes a mental note to ask you as to why in Hecate's name you would invite the Queen of Hell for a sleepover.
Your pout doesn't go unnoticed by Lilith, whose lips half rise in a brief smirk. She approaches closer and nudges you playfully, "don't be sad, princess. I'm not dying."
She's right and you know it. "Will you be back?", Zelda raises an eyebrow at you. Even Cordelia remains stunned by your sudden interest towards the Queen of Hell. "I mean, if I need a piece of advice," you mutter tentatively.
Lilith couldn't hide her pride, if she tried. "I'm only one prayer away, princess," she promises, her voice barely above a whisper.
Zelda is sure to have never heard her use such a soft tone before. Maybe just once or twice, but in very different circumstances. Your eyes mirror the flames of Hell as Lilith disappears into a vortex of fire, back to Hell.
Woah, very scenic, you think to yourself.
Cordelia takes a sigh of relief right after. She holds you closer to her front, and buries her face in your hair, "you got us worried, again,” there is a hint of playfulness in her tone, but you know it’s not just it.
"Sorry I lost track of time," you mutter apologetically.
Zelda's nose scrunches up as she narrows her eyes at you, "what was that?"
Shrugging cutely, you echo innocently, "what was what?"
The redhead rolls her eyes at your antics, while Cordelia lets out a warm chuckle. Placing both hands upon her hips, she continues, "shouldn't we talk about what happened tonight?"
Suddenly feeling tired, you let out a yawn in response.
"Maybe tomorrow," it's Cordelia's response, her lips press a kiss on top of your head and your lashes flutter slightly.
Zelda huffs and rolls her eyes before looking at the two of you alternatively, "You two go ahead, I'll catch you up in a minute," she mutters, suddenly in need to have a smoke.
"Don't be long," you mutter lazily. She brushes her hand against your cheek, telling you not to worry.
While you and Cordelia walk inside, Zelda sits on the porch's bench. Tired, confused, worried. Her eyes glance down at Lucia's relic still there, as a reminder that troubles have not finished yet, if anything they've just started. Summoning a cigarette in her hand, she lights it up, before taking a long, well deserved drag.
"Whatever it is you're not telling, Lilith?", she asks in a faint whisper, letting out a big puff of smoke, "What were you doing here?"
The Queen of Hell hears her loud and clear, while sitting uncomfortably on her throne. Running a hand through her hair, she lets out a sigh. Her eyes fall close, as she breathes softly in and out. Hearts pounding in her chest, annoyingly. She wish she knew.

Farah immediatly lets go of you and she stands up.
"Come on out" she says, and you can feel that she's ready to fight.
You tense as you turn around. Someone is hiding behind a shelf.
For a second you are terrified - did they see you? Did they hear? Is this going to be a problem for Far-
Then you recognize the voluminous hair and the red lips as you feel Farah turning her magic down.
"Lilith" she says, amazement clear in her voice. "Good morning."

The Liasion
Summary: Lilith and Reader meet and have a spark. Zelda gets jealous and takes matters into her own hands.
A/N: Bad at summaries and this is part of A cry for help story. One more chapter will be added for The Liasion after this. This is so rushed >.<
Warning: No warnings
It was raining. Of course. In the middle of summer. Perfect timing. You thought it was the best time today, seeing it sunny and bright to wash your clothes, in which you did, and hung them out in the front yard. It’ll dry quickly. You thought. Boy were you wrong. 10 seconds later, clouds started to form and take place. A splash landed on the kitchen window and you flinched. You’re kidding, right?
“Fuck!” Yelling in anger from the kitchen you ran outside to quickly unclamp your clothes from the wire, trying to avoid mud getting on you or the clothes. “What happened?” Zelda asked. She looked you over and saw you soaking. “Is it raining? Out of all days.” Zelda walks up to the kitchen window. “Perfect. I have no clothes and now I have to dry them in here.” You look around to see where you can hang them. It wasn’t a big problem, but you knew it would be tricky. You throw them in the hamper and let out a growl. “Don’t be angry dear,” Hilda tried to calm you. A knock comes from the front door. You see Sabrina run down the stairs and straight to the door and open it to reveal a woman. Watching, you take time to take in the stranger. She has long, wavy dark hair, age looks the same as Zelda’s and her attire was well fit together. Clinging to her figure was a dark green, raincoat that went down to her feet, hugging her nicely.
The woman walks into the kitchen with Sabrina behind her and Zelda nods at her in acknowledgement. “Lilith,” The woman named Lilith nods. Her eyes land on you. “I do believe we haven’t met yet.” the woman reaches for your hand. “I’m Lilith.” You take it and pause. “Lilith?” You ask. “Is it a name, or are you Lilith?” The woman laughs. You’re happy she finds this amusing. “That’s right. I’m surprised they haven’t told you about me,” Lilith points at the other two. “guess I need to work harder to make my presence known.”
“She’s new here. I didn’t want to overwhelm her, but she’s interested in joining the church of Lilith tho, aren’t you?” Zelda asks, glaring at you. You slowly nod. “Y-yes…” you respond. Zelda rolls her eyes at you. Stepping closer to you, Lilith takes your face in her hands, cupping your chin. She runs her forefinger over your cheek, her nail softly scraping your flesh. Zelda watches, not aware that she’s staring a little too hard at the Queen of Hell.
“You’re something…what’s your name?” Lilith asks, still holding you in her grasp. You feel your throat go dry. “Y/n. Y/n Y/L/N.” Sabrina looks at Zelda before backing up. “I think that’s enough for today.” Lilith lets you go.
Zelda is the type of woman to never let her emotions cloud her actions, she is too grown for that. But at this very moment she didn’t care. After what she just witnessed- she needs to think fast before it’s too late.

You could swear that your hair was turning grey. With each passing day, the stress piled on, until you were positive that strands of your hair were turning color. It left you stunned and confused. Zelda had almost a hundred years on you and her hair was perfectly normal. And she dealt with more stress everyday than an entire town would.
“Zelda,” You whined, coming out of the bathroom, “I’m greying.”
Looking up from her book, she scoffed at the dramatics. She marked her place with a finger. Her eyes scanned you from head to toe, narrowed in concentration.
“You most certainly are not,” She finally declared, “I don’t see a single grey hair on your head.”
“Well, you’re missing it, Zee. All of you are stressing me to the point of madness and my hair is starting to reflect it.”
“Oh, hush. Come here.”
You trudged over to her side of the bed, perching next to her as she looked over your strands closely. Her nails lightly scratched at certain areas of your scalp during her examination. Finally, she leant away from you and shook her head.
“One grey strand, Y/N. You’re raising heaven over a single strand?” Zelda rolled her eyes.
“One strand leads to more! Before you know it, I’ll have a head of them.”
“Oh, Y/N, do be reasonable.”
“I am! How have you not gone grey? Sabrina puts you through so much.”
“Oh that’s easy, I stopped caring ages ago.” Zelda said easily, leaning back against the pillows.
You knew as well as she did that it was a lie. She loved Sabrina to a fault, constantly putting up with her antics. You all did. But it seemed she had no intention of continuing the line of conversation. So you resorted to a sure way to get answers; teasing Zelda until she gave up the truth.
“Are you sure that you’re not dyeing your hair and hiding it from us?” You asked innocently, trying to hide your mischievous grin behind a hand.
Zelda sputtered indignantly, attempting to form words, but failing to do so. You couldn’t hold back your laugh at her reaction. She frowned, recognizing your teasing and obviously not feeling very keen on it.
“What have you done to inspire such a frown?” A warm, curious voice said from behind the two of you.
Not aware of another presence in the room, you nearly fell off of the bed in surprise. You leveled a glare at Lilith as she leant against the door. Her look was far too smug for your liking.
“See?” You said, looking at Zelda, “The antics of this family will turn my hair in a week!”
“Lilith, tell her that she’s being entirely too dramatic about this.” Zelda requested.
“I’ll do no such thing,” Lilith responded, clearly enjoying herself, “Even I would struggle to maintain the natural hair color of this body if I were in her position.”
A long, hard stare was aimed at the demoness. She was completely unfazed by it, having become used to far worse looks in Hell. You just grinned triumphantly at Zelda for a few moments. It was very rare that Lilith took your side in matters like these. Zelda and Lilith tended to be of like mind, especially when it would grate on your nerves.
Rather than respond to any of the teasing, Zelda turned onto her side, facing away from the two of you with a huff. You laughed silently, shaking the bed with the effort to keep it contained.
“Aw, Zee, I’m sorry.” You tried, leaning your head on her shoulder.
“You certainly are not.”
“Oh but I am, aren’t I, Lilith?”
“Yes, very sorry.” She agreed, though without enough emotion to seem sincere.
“Go to bed, both of you.” Zelda demanded, turning over for just a moment to press a kiss to your lips and glare in Lilith’s direction, before turning the lights off with a snap.
Through the darkness, you heard Lilith scoff at the other witch’s behavior. Though part of you expected her to stay awake in protest, the bed soon dipped with her weight. Her arms wrapped around you and you allowed yourself to fall asleep just like that.
----
When you woke up, there was a dreadful absence on both of your sides. Though the blankets were piled on top of you, the chill in the air wormed its way past them. You shook without either of your lovers to keep you warm.
Reaching out blindly, you searched for them with closed eyes. Lilith often took to reading before you woke, perching herself on the bench at the foot of the bed. If stretched fully then you could typically poke her in the back. Nothing met your reach.
You grumbled miserably. If neither witch was in the room, it meant they’d already convened for breakfast. Likely, you had slept longer than intended, and would be sure to hear about it.
Dreading the inevitable teasings and musings of Zelda, you trudged from bed and down the stairs. But no noise followed your descent from the last step. There was no light chatter or laughter from the kitchen. The comforting babbling of the pots and shrieking of the kettle, nowhere to be found.
“Hilda? Zelda, Lilith?” You called, walking into the kitchen.
The area that was so typically warm and busy, was now completely empty. Cold light seeped in through the drawn curtains. A chill went down your spin as you spun around, looking in every part of the room for someone of the Spellman family.
“Sabrina… Ambrose?” You tried helplessly.
No luck.
Timidly, you stepped further into the room. Your eyebrows furrowed as you took in the cobwebs clinging to the chandelier; cobwebs you were positive hadn’t been there previously. Tracing over the table led to a collection of dust on the end of your finger. Everything felt hopelessly, terribly confusing.
A sudden crash to your right put you on high alert, throwing your hands up just in time. But it wasn’t a wild animal or enemy looking back at you, frozen in space. It was Ambrose.
“Ambrose!” You exclaimed, dropping your magical hold to throw your arms around him, “I am so glad to see you.”
“As am I, Auntie, but we can’t stay here. It’s not safe.”
You reeled away from him, confused at his words. What could be safer than your own home? The one you’d all been part of for so long? Zelda had to be around somewhere, she’d never abandon the mortuary. It wasn’t her style.
“Ambrose, you’re talking nonsense. Now where are Zelda and Lilith? I’m sure we can handle whatever Sabrina has cooked up as a family.”
“You don’t understand,” Ambrose said in a severe whisper, “Nowhere is safe. Not even Hell.”
His tone sent a shiver down your spine. It wasn’t hard to throw off the balance of this plane, but it was unheard of for the infernal plane to be affected. And if Hell was dangerous then that meant…
“Where is everyone, Ambrose?” You whispered, fearing the answer, “Where is Zelda? Lilith? Your Aunt Hilda would never let the house become so tattered… are they…”
“You really don’t know what’s going on?” He asked.
“If I knew what was going on I wouldn’t be asking you.”
“They all… I mean, well... The pagans brought the reckoning and very few survived.”
“No,” You shook your head, backing away, “They can’t be gone. Not like this.”
“I’m sorry, Auntie.”
He placed a hand on your arm, squeezing gently. You felt like his words had gutted you and left you hollow. Despite the fine layers of dust and cobwebs, the memories of the house still felt alive around you.
The smell of Zelda’s cigarette smoke lingered on everything. You could practically see her there, newspaper in hand, smoke billowing from behind it. Lilith’s voice rang in your ears, heckling Zelda about something miniscule. It was always like that. Warm, teasing, and comfortable. You would hide a laugh, but Zelda knew you too well.
Your family lingered in every corner.
Another squeeze on your arm brought you back to the present, looking directly at Ambrose. His eyes were full of the sadness that you felt. But his held more reserve, more… acceptance. This was new to you, though it wasn’t to him.
You refused to let yourself cry. Neither Zelda or Lilith would have wanted it, they cared for action. In your heart you knew that all you could do was work with the tools you had. Magic, heart, and Ambrose.
“Alright, now fill me in on these Pagans.” You said.
And fill you in he did. Though nothing could explain how the time had moved without you, how you ended up in the middle without even knowing it. Fortunately, just as the two of you hit a dead end, Sabrina appeared out of nowhere.
The details were fuzzy and you were running on a lot of hope, but you had faith in Sabrina. If not, at least she had her misplaced confidence. You’d go out fighting.
Sabrina was to shift things around in time, to bring back your loved ones. You stood by Zelda’s skeleton in the Mortuary’s basement, hoping that any second she’d become real, as Sabrina united the past, present, and future once more.
You felt the change, but nothing happened next to you. The hope in your heart was slowly waning. It was hard to hold back the emotions, but it seemed not to matter at all, as a rustling next to you became apparent.
Sitting up on the table was Zelda, looking confused and extremely annoyed. Ambrose explained that she’d been shot at the front door. You wanted to make the person pay, but right now you were entirely too happy to see Zelda to care.
“Zelda,” You breathed out, making her look to you, before wrapping your arms around her, “You’re okay.”
“Of course I am. I couldn’t leave you to deal with Sabrina alone, now could I?” She asked.
Her voice was hauty, but you knew she was joking by the sweet tone in her voice. The gentleness you heard only in special moments.
“Speaking of Sabrina, we’re meeting her near the Cain pit. You missed a lot while you were… sleeping.”
You could see that she detested waiting for any answers, but grudgingly let you pull her out to the Cain pit, where a large group of witches were waiting. It was then that she realized why she hadn’t been buried in it. Hilda was still laying in it and had been for far too long.
Her grip tightened on your hand and you squeezed back. You’d spent the last day mourning your entire family, but Hilda had been with Zelda since they were children. The pain there was likely unimaginable.
But you all joined hands, amplifying Zelda’s wishes. Her screams to the sky, calling on Hecate. The pain in her voice rang through you like a shot. If you weren’t present, forming a circle with your sister witches, you could’ve sworn you had been shot. The pain certainly felt similar.
Waiting with bated breath, Zelda called out after her chanting. One hand placed on the dirt of the Cain pit.
“Hildy?” She said brokenly.
Then, to everyone’s relief, a hand broke through the dirt. Zelda grabbed it eagerly. You could feel the tension leave everyone’s body. It made you especially grateful to release their hands.
You watched joyfully as Hilda clawed her way out of the dirt, crouching to help her. The dirt caked under your nails didn’t bother you like it normally would. It was a small price to pay.
After that, the plan was laid out. By Sabrina, no less. All of the witches were in agreement on how the Pagans would be dealt with. With swift, painful justice. It would be far too dangerous to let them live any longer. They would just work their way back into this same situation. The plan would take place as they sacrificed the virgin of their choosing to the Green Man.
There was enough time for everyone to disband and prepare, or rest, in your case. But you couldn’t bear to rest now. You had your entire family back, minus one key person. Lilith. Little was known about what had happened in Hell, or maybe Ambrose wouldn’t tell you much.
You just knew that your heart was aching, longing for the other woman you so deeply loved. A fire, long put out, was burning in your gut. It threatened to overwhelm you. Instead, you vowed to save it for the Pagans.
You would get your life back, no matter what it took.
----
The plan had worked perfectly. Sabrina had gone disguised as Robin, Pesta disguised as Ms. Wardwell. Now the Pagans were fleeing. But the big three, the so called ‘Gods’, were frantically packing their things.
Hilda went after Circe, Harvey and Roz went after the gorgon, and that left Pan to you. While the rest of your coven chased the younger Pagans, you elected to confront Pan head-on. Alone. While he loaded his truck, out in the open, you walked up. You did your best to keep your anger at bay when he set his eyes on you.
“What can I do for you, witch?” He snarled.
“You’ve taken something very important from me. I want it back.” You said casually.
The laugh that left his mouth was cold, empty of any humor whatsoever. You wanted to scream, to rip him limb from limb over what he’d done to your family. Your coven. The pain all of them had endured because of them.
“Not likely. I don’t offer kindness to the whores of Satan.”
“You don’t offer kindness to anyone, false God.” You hissed.
His hackles raised then, offended beyond what words could say. Stepping away from his vehicle, he sneered at you, disdain clear in his eyes. Stretching his arms out to either side revealed his true nature beneath the illusion. The true Pan.
“Your Satan is the false God, but I am real, for I am the great God Pan. And my gaze is madness incarnate…” He proclaimed in a haughty tone.
Your clapping stunned him. It was slow and deliberate, fake and insulting. You held no fear as you walked right up to him and stared directly into his eyes.
“I’ve consumed madness before,” You said, a twisted smile spreading on your lips as he stepped back, “And I kept returning for more.”
With a snap of your fingers, the shimmer illusion around him dropped. The one barrier between you and his true form. Your eyes never dropped from his. He attempted to step away from you, but you wouldn’t have it. Then you swung your arm viciously.
“This is for Zelda,” You whispered after burying a blade in his chest, before pulling it out and burying it in his neck, “And that is for Lilith.”
He crumpled to the ground in front of you. As you stood over him, you stared at the wounds you made. Part of you wished that you’d taken more time to make him suffer. But what’s done is done, you can't turn back time.
“Remind me not to get on your bad side.”
Turning, your eyes landed on Lilith and Zelda. It was Lilith who’d spoken, leaning against a tree, her smirk visible even from where you were standing. Your heart jumped in your chest at seeing her alive and well.
“You’re… You’re back.” You said happily, tears in your eyes.
“Of course I am. Now, are you going to give me a proper welcome or not?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
You wasted no time in moving to her and throwing yourself into her arms. At first, you did your best to be mindful of where your hands were. Pan’s blood was all over them and you didn’t want to stain her dress, but she didn’t seem to mind as she took your hands into her’s.
She pulled you into a searing kiss. All your thoughts of revenge faded into nothingness as your lips met hers. Personally, you’d never felt Hellfire, but you would bet that it had nothing on her kiss.
Zelda scoffed from beside the two of you. Without looking at her, you knew without a doubt that her eyes were rolling. It was her trademark at this point.
With no small amount of effort, you pulled away from Lilith’s kiss, extending a hand to Zelda. Letting her annoyance wane for a moment, she took it and kissed you just as aggressively as Lilith had. Though where Zelda had rolled her eyes, Lilith was now watching with dark eyes.
It would have been easy to let the touches descend into something sinfully fun, but that wasn’t what you felt. You were so relieved to have your lovers back safe. Overwhelmingly, you felt nothing but your intense love in this moment.
“Let’s go home.” You whispered after pulling away, happily dragging both witches back to your safe haven.
----
“Look at this,” You urged Zelda over to your side, pointing to your hair, “Right here.”
“You’re calmer about this one, I see.” She said.
“I think I… appreciate them now, more than I hate them.”
“Is that so?”
“I wouldn’t have them if I didn’t care. So I consider it good that I care so much about my family, even if it gives me grey hair.” You admitted, avoiding her eyes as your cheeks burned red.
Zelda was quiet for a few moments and you wondered if you left her speechless for once. But rather than say anything, she placed a sweet kiss upon your lips. Her thumb rubbed over your cheekbone affectionately.
“Having so much love is a remarkable gift.” Zelda murmured, punctuating the statement with another kiss.
You leaned into the rare moment of open, sappy affection. It was nice to spend time like this, reveling in the love of your family. To know how loved you were.
“I walked into a sap fest, I see,” Lilith’s voice came from the doorway, “Hard to believe I’m looking at the same witch who slaughtered a God two days ago.”
She was nursing a glass in her hand, taking a sip as her humorous eyes glanced over the rim. You gave a small laugh. Though she'll tease you endlessly about your ways, she did envy how open you could be with all of it. Love, care, honesty. It’d been completely foreign to her for so long.
“What can I say, sweetheart? I’m just complex like that.”

Hiii! I so enjoy your writing so I was wondering would you like to write one for me? The reader is eating a snack, maybe tea and biscuits and Vinnie T is under the table waiting for food. She can’t resist those puppy eyes so she gives him some crumbs. She knows tho that Zelda, always tell her not to spoil him all the time. So I was just wondering what could happen if they two get busted while doing so, but in the end Zelda can’t really scold the two cuz she thinks they are just so adorable as they get along so well? Thank you so much xx
Heyy<3 Thank you so much and I hope you like it:) sorry for the delay !!
Snack time.
Tumblr media
After an exhausting night shift at the hospital, you were looking forward to coming home and have breakfast or just a quick snack before going to bed. It was still early when you arrived at the Spellman Mortuary, you weren’t sure if Zelda was up yet or if she was still sound asleep underneath the comforting covers of her bed. With a soft creak, the door opens and the smell of herbs surround you. It was a sign that the younger Spellman sister was already on her feet, preparing everything for the day. You were tired and it was hard for you to keep your eyes open, this occurred often when you were bound to spend your night at the hospital.
„Good Morning Darling, just sit down I’ve already prepared something,” Hilda said and pointed to the table. „Good Morning,” it was a tired mumble but the blonde Brit smiled knowingly. The little brown dog was licking in his bowl, eager to get every possible crumb in his belly. When Vinnie spotted you sitting on a chair, he excitedly wiggled over to you and jumped in ecstasy. Zelda’s familiar grew to your heart and you adored him to pieces. It was hard to resist giving him food because every time his brown eyes widened when you just took a bite from anything. Zelda always kept a close eye on what he gets, she didn’t want him to be spoiled. Though you always found a way to snuck something under the table for him.
Hilda placed tea and a small plate filled with biscuits in front of you before giving you the last nudge. The woman was busy, she had to be at Dr. C’s book store in ten. The morning sun decided to peek through the clouds and light up the sky. Vinnie T’s head rested on your thigh since he jumped up from the chair next to you. It seemed as if his eyes pierced through the biscuit in your hand. „You’ll get something when I’m done,” you whispered caressing his fur. He seemed to understand at first when he averted his eyes from the little morning snack, but just minutes later his eyes were fixed on the almond cookie again. The looks he gave the biscuit in your hands ached your heart. You broke off a small piece from it and let him lick the tiny crumbled from out of your hand. Vinnie growled in response. A small chuckle left your throat before you repeated the procedure. He licked your hands until there was nothing left, though his tongue often searched for hidden crumbles between your fingers. „Okay, little one, last piece and don’t tell Zelda,” you hummed and sprinkled the last few crumbs in the palm of your hands. „Tell me what?” a Sharp Voice from behind startled you.
Your head jolted in her direction, „Nothing my love,” your voice pitched. „You were feeding Vinnie again, weren’t you?” „No, what are you trying to say?” you scoffed, „I’d never ever feed him my biscuits.” The redhead only shook her head in disbelief. „Didn’t I tell you to not spoil him?” „I don’t remember,” you sweetly hummed and took a bite of the cookie. As said, it was hard to resist Vinnie’s longing eyes for anything edible, so you gave in. „Vinnie get off the chair,” Zelda demanded and in under a second, the little brown dog was back on the floor, whining. „I told you, a million times, correct me if I’m wrong, that he does get enough food and does not need any meals in between,” your girlfriend explained sitting down on the chair where Vinnie had rested. „Come on Zelds, it was barely a meal. Just small crumbs and you know how his eyes light up when he gets little treats,” you explained and took her hand. „You’re too good for this world,” the older woman sighed and turned her gaze on her familiar. „I know,” you replied sarcastically, earning a playful nudge in the side.
„I’ll go get some sleep Zelds,,” you yawned, covering your mouth with your hand, „I love you.” A spark appeared in both her green eyes, „I love you too, get some rest,” her voice turned soft and the witch placed a soft kiss on your temple. You left the room with Vinnie who was eager to catch up your pace.

Aligned, Chapter 1 (Zelda Spellman x Reader)
Tags + Prompt:
Zelda Spellman x Reader
(possibly Madam Spellman x Reader as well?? This would not be immediate, so we will see)
(there will be NSFW, but each chapter will be tagged separately)
Set Right after the end of Season 3 of CAOS, possible contextual spoilers ahead.
Reader is a young pagan, who covenless, has been practicing magic under the worship in Greendale. Through her times in mediation and contact with the Goddess, Y/N has been mastering the art of “the Sight” making her a seer, with powers of clairvoyance and others, as the Goddess wills it. After direct request of Lilith, she sends you to join the Academy of the Unseen arts, and join a coven where her will and plan may unfold for you.
Chapter 1: So Mote it Be
It had been some time since the pagans had been defeated, and the details of Hell’s management had quieted. After Sabrina’s return, Zelda was happy enough to have some level of normalcy after the array of chaos that had ensued under her rule as Directrix. In all honesty, worshiping Lilith was becoming a whole other avenue of convenience, now that their powers had been re-imagined by the Great Goddess herself. Some believed it to be Hecate, where others enjoyed the inclusiveness of “The Goddess”, or namely, Lilith, which I am sure she didn’t mind. The Goddess had taken many faces, young witches were to learn of the embracing of their own inner Goddess, divine femininity, and what the Directrix and High Priestess referred to as “the Divine self”. This was something that any witch could learn to embody, in engaging the Divine self, it was said to be a source of intimate divine energy, a well of power and trueness to whom, if embraced, one had the capability of being written in history; like those witch ancestors that came before them. Lilith included. The story of her discovering her power, took the refusal to submit to Adam, and her acknowledgement of being his equal. Though this had her cast out of Eden, it resulted in the acknowledgement and the beginning of her harnessing the power of her divine self. There was a power in this new form of worship and study. Once Sabrina had come back, and their powers were restored with new vibrance, and... without the internal conflict and looming will of the Dark Lord over everyone's shoulder, the Academy was bustling with new inspiration from young witches and warlocks alike. Not only was the school blooming with new students, but new branches of study, and faculty as well. Members of the Church of Lilith, were solidifying the young, thriving coven. What had seemed so chaotic before, and what Zelda Spellman couldn’t help but take personally, had now become a beacon of growth, as poised and poignant as their Directrix. New possibilities were budding at what seemed like, every turn.
Today marked the beginning of the Academy’s newest endeavor. The High Priestess was interviewing an inquiring witch for a possible position at the academy. Something, typically arranged upon Ms. Spellman’s inquiry, not vice versa. But at the audacity, Zelda couldn’t help but agree on meeting this ‘Y/N’. Someone with that much gall, could be trouble to the coven, or conversely an extremely valuable asset. The Spellman family, and outside of that, Prudence Blackwood, had made up the boldest members to walk the grounds. Perhaps fresh blood could be what the academy needed to rise up to its full potential, something Miss Spellman found tantalizingly irresistible as a possibility. At that, a firm knock echoed through the doors of the academy. Most who entered had already been members, and the council certainly wouldn’t have knocked. At this resonating echo, the halls of the school were certain to embrace a surge of new energy; at the very least, a wave of fresh gossip regarding whomever was to enter. Ms. Spellman, of course, knew who would be arriving that day, and prepared Ambrose Spellman accordingly, to greet and guide you to her chambers, upon arrival.
As Ambrose opened the large hardwood door, he took a fleeting moment to cock his head and grin pleasantly.
“Ms. Y/N, do come in. The High Priestess has been expecting you.”
You nod simply, noting the young man's polite yet flirtatious quality as you step through the threshold of the large doorway. A sudden whir of images crashes through your mind as both feet have now entered, aligned smoothly on the tile mosaic. You breathe deeply through your nose, taking in the array of premonitions, steadying yourself to prevent any distraction from your newest endeavor.
“Welcome to the Academy of Unseen Arts.”
He hums, turning around to admire the towering statue which lay in the center of the Academy’s main hall. Four women are shown standing, clearly. The Maiden, Mother, and Crone of course, in their traditional positions as marked by many statues. However, this one being customarily different, showing Lilith as its fourth member, honoring who was known as the first and Mother of witches. It seemed to greet and draw the face of whomever enters, in this case being you. Facing you, she kneels below the Mother. Her arms are open, as if to embrace the wisdom of the first imparted knowledge; as the first witch and woman, of humankind. The three faces of the Goddess have a mysterious quality to them, at least by Y/N’s seeing, Lilith’s seems most personable, taking the shape of her young face before she had taken on the Wardwell body. It was as if “The Sight” as you called it, revealed this statue's abilities to show you who was Mother, Maiden, and or the death Crone during a time in which it may be needed, for you alone to see. A thought came to your mind, w wondering if this was the Goddess’s exact intention. You blink hard, before giving a soft smile to admire Lilith. You kneel down on one knee and touch one of Lilith’s hands kindly, before standing again to meet eyes with Ambrose. He felt as if he had just witnessed something quite intimate. He wasn’t sure what had gone through your mind just then, when admiring the statue and woman illicitly. He assumes you had fond ties to the Goddess, and perhaps Lilith herself.
“I presume you enjoy our new statue. The last one didn’t last very long and was incredibly tasteless, but I enjoy this one much better”
He jokes, commenting on the cringey nature of the statue Father Blackwood had posed there temporarily. He gave a shiver before smiling.
“This one definitely has a way of speaking, erm, intimately to some. At the very least it lightens up the room.”
You smile confidently now, more than ever drawn towards the force that had guided you to the Academy in the first place, almost overlooking the awkward comment that left the charming Ambrose’s lips. He touches the back of his neck before speaking again.
“Well, I have no doubt that the Directrix would like to see you immediately, but if you would like I would be more than happy… to give you a tour later”
He turns, before guiding you down the hall, and up the stairs to the High Priestess’s office.
After leading you to the door, Ambrose pauses before you hear the strong, deep voice of Zelda Spellman, who must have known you were standing out front.
“Do come in Ambrose I won’t have you doddling idly.”
At that the door swung open by incantation and he gestures for you to come inside.
“That’ll be all Ambrose.”
She dismisses him curtly before the gentleman quickly evaded, looking as if he was going to bid adieu, but at the Directrix’s look, decided it would be best to just leave. Giving you a boyish smile and quiet nod, he shuts the door behind him. You were greeted by the back of a handsome woman in a sophisticated leather armchair, whom ringlets of smoke encircled her head.
“You may sit down, if you were waiting for an invitation”
She said flatly, before turning her chair to face you. Her fiery red ringlets were framing her shoulders and face. One whom you hadn’t seen before but felt hauntingly familiar with.
 “If you insist, High Priestess”
You retort politely before sitting down with a naturally confident composure, on the black laced love seat across from her and her large dark-wooden desk.
“Thank you for having me, Directrix-”
“Spellman”
She finished the sentence for you, before slipping off a pair of thinly framed glasses. She carefully set down a stack of papers it looked like she had been reading before you entered.
“Tell me, Y/N, what bid you so bold as to inquire to me illicitly for a position at the Academy. Traditionally, one is invited to such a facility as a member of our Coven. To visit, let alone to be employed here to teach the minds of our young Witches, I’d have to say you are the first to inquire in such a bold manner. Indulge me, what talents do you feel are so urgent as to insist upon seeing me?”
You allow her words to hang in the air from her red lips, pulled taut as she awaits your reply. Once she pauses, you set down your purse behind the seat’s clawed foot, not wanting to give her anything less than your undivided attention.
 “Lilith herself, sent me.”
She stiffened. At that, Zelda’s attention was officially caught. Her eyes widened slightly, before she leaned over to relite her cigarette, which at that, had blown out.
“You see, High Priestess, I was a pagan witch long before that group of carnies made their way through Greendale. I had been privately practicing and worshiping the triple Goddess, and had felt a specific draw to Lilith as a young girl. It has always been a relationship to me strange, and intimate in the sense that she was unheard of, it felt like outside of Christianity let alone in a town as small as Greendale. In a repugnant, disgracing manner at that. It felt as though she had reached out towards me, not the contrast.I had learned of my abilities and practices, quietly, in the confidence of the Goddess herself”
Though Zelda didn’t overtly expose it, despite what you revealed, she was impressed with the way you formed your words, and maintained composure during her dogging of you.
“So what you are telling me is that you are a witch, with active magic, might I add, that never had her dark baptism?”
She leaned back in her chair.
“Correct, I never signed my name in the Book of the Beast. I never had any sort of baptism, dark or light, and have lived and learned about my powers through Meditation, and constant contact with Lilith, and the many faces of the Goddess alike.”
At that, you and Zelda Spellman were both covered in goosebumps, as if a chill from another plane had run over the both of you. You couldn’t help but feel Zelda’s eyes leer; but in curiosity, not out of disgust or disrespect, as one might have assumed by her hard exterior. It felt unexpected as an undertone to notice, and it was as if the Directrix was catching a whole other level of your attention.
“As far as my talents Miss Spellman,”
You continue,
“I wield whatever the Goddess wills me to. But once I came across the knowledge that your Coven did not psiphon their powers directly from Lilith, but in another manner, I became fully aware of just how intimate a relationship I had with her.”
At this moment, Zelda didn't know whether to be enraged or if her beffalment had sent waves of fear through her. How did she know anything about her Coven, let alone such intimate interactions? Zelda presumed Lilith would not divulge such things to a stranger, no matter how personally dedicated this young witch was. She was feeling not fear in the sense of needing to run, but in shock at the level of intimacy she seemed to infer having, through communion with Lilith herself. Had this been solely apart of the Order of Hecate, and how much was Lilith intertwined with it? Likely, Zelda had a feeling, more than she even knew, She was exasperated to learn the Goddess would or could bestow such a gift on a covenless witch, without any formal study. That which information so intimate of the Coven, outside of herself, only Sabrina might know. This was all information that was discussed under high caliber of protective magic, and confidence on Lilith’s part.
It was then, Zelda remembered the tension that her and Lilith had had in the Academy’s main Rotunda. Though rooted in sexual tension, she witnessed Lilith’s softness, a side she had never witnessed in the woman. She had been ready to bestow - something, in return for their prayer and dedication to her; but that was a flame quickly dampened by Zelda’s own pride. She had decided openly that the Coven would seek its power elsewhere, at least for that moment.
She had no idea that Lilith herself could activate or have the Goddess unearth the powers in a young witchling. Something now, she could see must have had time to season in the young, astute woman before her. You tucked a curl behind your ear before continuing.
“If I am being forward with you High Priestess, the Goddess has sent me here to bestow upon this Church and Academy, my gift of the Sight. I am a Seer by nature in a sense a bit more forward than Tarot or rune reading”
You let a small smile slip between your words.
“Though card magic is something typically a tool of Seers, the realm of capability, if bestowed, can be quite more expansive than that. The Goddess sent me here, though I am not one to try and assume Lilith’s intentions, to have me join your Coven. If you will it, and become a member of your faculty, so that I may teach your students about the powers of intuition, and the unearthing of powers that do not require spellcraft as you know it. If I am to be so bold, it could also act - possibly… as a reward for your returning dedication to Lilith, and newfound dedication towards the triple Goddess”.
At that Zelda was speechless. With such personal information of the Coven's decisions, and her own acclaimed interactions with Lilith, it could be that she was bluffing. However the likelihood of Lilith sending a gift, a clairvoyant… did seem unpredictable, and in that sense, quite her style. The High Priestess let a few moments pass in silence, taking a drag of her cigarette, and slowly releasing the smoke to curl from her nostrils. Though you didn’t show it, you couldn’t help but admire this woman's beauty. Something about the High Priestess's behavior, though a bit callous, felt endearing to you. Powerful like a mother dragon, and more of an embodiment of the Goddess herself than you believed even the Spellman could recognize.
“So what you are telling me is, is that Lilith herself sent you?”
“Yes”
“And that you experience visions, a sight unseen such as premonitions, and clairvoyance, whilst being a witch, not a mortal”
Zelda felt as though the clarification was imperative, a confidant of the Goddess or not.
“That's part of it, yes”
You stated again, with a bit more diction and gentle clarity, now locking eyes with Zelda.
The Directrix was aware of Sabrina’s mortal friend, Roz, and her gift of ‘the cunning’, but if this were as expansive as you were implying, especially in Zelda’s knowledge of ‘The Old Power’… her mind was racing. It was then in your eyes linking, your gaze transfixed hers, exploring the insides of Zelda’s mind. Though you didn’t invade her thoughts directly, it was then, Zelda became unable to speak. She felt almost like the woman across from her, though beautifully composed in this questioning, was looking beneath her soul with her jade blue eyes.
Zelda felt her breathe become quietly labored, as she pulled another drag from her cigarette, unable to break her gaze from you. It was then that you spoke up, releasing it.
“The darkness in a woman is such that, stripped of our sight, we must feel our way through it - we crawl, we enter our circles of Hell until we sympathize with her sorrow, until we learn for her rage." You spoke tepidly.
If Zelda hadn't been completely enthralled in the unexpectancy that was occurring throughout this conversation, this quote would have left her shaking. This was the last quote Zelda had read this morning, by Segovia Amil. It was often rumored in the old texts that a witch could prophesize and view the reflection of her own thoughts through the readings she happened upon. This was something Zelda had been experimenting with through the sifting of her books of poetry, flipping through and randomly selecting a poem each morning to ponder on for the day. It was something fairly easy to experiment with in poems; and this was the quote that the High Priestess had spent her day examining between her more formal tasks. Perhaps a reflection of her complicated ties with Lilith. Maybe a personal prophecy of her own dwellings in growth, but at the moment, it had been the final shock she had needed to hear from Y/N before making her decision. Rather than questioning what you clearly knew, likely with even more to reveal at a moment's notice, she found  herself finally able to speak, breaking the long drawl of silence.
"For someone with no formal training, our Academy would be honored to have you, as the will from our Goddess dictates. and the will of my own.”
She was not only impressed with the woman in front of her poise and clear skill beyond what she knew to expect, but also the mysterious aura you seem to embody. It felt to her, that the longer you had been sitting there, maintaining a cool, collected composure, the more Zelda herself felt as if her insides would come undone at any moment.
“We would be more than pleased to not only have you become a member of our Coven-"
She readjusted the papers in front of her, attempting to maintain if not regain her composure
"and teach you any formalities of spellcraft as I am sure you will be teaching us. I will go over the formalities of your time here at the Academy, and if you wish. Most professors live here on campus, within the chambers in accordance to your office. This is not a requirement, however highly recommended and a tradition of those who have taught at this school over the centuries it has stood."
She proceeded.
"Ms. Y/N, If I came off as severely questioning may you note it as respectful, as this Academy is my home, and a safe haven for the Witchdom of Greendale. My atonements for questioning the will of our Goddess, who in a moment of mercy and generosity has bestowed us with your gifts. I do hope that you will accept my apology and know you are... an honored addition to our Academy."
Zelda knew if Ambrose had been outside listening, he would have been shocked to hear Zelda apologizing. It was not in her nature to do so. She couldn’t help but wonder if she had done her best to deal with this situation professionally. She was at least confident that she had kept her composure, mostly. When your Jade blue eyes had locked locked hers, it felt as if you had sift through her memories. It was now that you found Zelda’s eyes drifting from yours to your mouth.
“I would be honored High Priestess”.
You seemed to interrupt her thought before she stood up and moved beyond the desk to take your hand. Outstretched, she took yours in both of hers to shake it. At that, there seemed to be a surge of electricity that shot through you at her immediate touch, as the smallest smile showed on Zelda’s lips. Her gorgeous green eyes were observing your fingers for just a moment as she shook our hand. You did not expect her to look so beautiful, but you were now seeing another side of her, and in closer proximity.
“Welcome to our circle Y/N. In the name of the Goddess, Praise Lilith”
“Praise Lilith” you repeated genuinely, as you had so many times before, in confidence.
You could have sworn your heart was racing with her so close to you, just an inch of kindness in her composure. After she released your hand she seemed to return to her neutrality, behind her desk. She lifted the stack of papers that was before her and placed them in a drawer to her right.
“Well, arrangements will be made to have your office and room prepared for you promptly, and you may convene to move in as soon as you’d like. Classes do not fall into session for a short while, and you should have plenty of time to make yourself comfortable”
As you turned to leave, making your way towards the door, you could’ve sworn you felt her eyes rake over you, a heat rising in yourself that you were not expecting. Was this your intuition, or perhaps the sight molding your perception? You turned to give her a soft smile before exiting, and sure enough her eyes moved upwards from your hips to meet yours in adieu before the door shut crisply behind you.
After you left Zelda felt herself pale, and tired. She poured herself a half inch of bourbon, to help her breathe for a moment at what had just happened.
 “Praise Lilith”
She sighed beneath her breath before taking a sip and leaning back in her chair. She felt a reassured faith in the unpredictable Goddess, but had not expected to have her memories probed this afternoon. Not to mention, she found you exquisitely beautiful; and she wasn’t sure what amused her more. Your wit and composure, or just how powerful an inkling of your magic felt to her. It was as if when she touched you, electricity had shot through her entire body, and though she wasn’t sure where it had come from, she was looking forward to having you in the Academy’s walls, and to get to know you further.
