there was a Summer Co+urt ruled by Titania and her prince-co+nso+rt O+bero+n, and a dark Winter Co+urt ruled by Titania's sister Mabh and her co+nso+rt, the Mo+rrigan.... each represented a so+rt o+f afterlife, with fall and spring being transitio+nal states (death and birth/rebirth, respectively)

i used to+ run a dnd game where i was playing with lo+fty stuff like archfey!!! i had a Wild Hunt with (i think) a neat o+rigin and backsto+ry:

the Wild Hunt was o+riginally a strike fo+rce put to+gether by the elvish go+d/archfey o+f the Land o+f the Dead, and it was made up o+f deceased so+uls with unfinished business. each cell o+f the Hunt was like 3-10 revenants who+ carried magically blessed weapo+ns and trinkets giving them weird po+wers

they had a talisman that co+uld let them igno+re gravity fo+r sho+rt perio+ds o+f time, and a special bo+nd that allo+wed each member o+f a cell to+ share senses with their hunting mates

the go+d o+f the dead lo+st his Hunting ho+rn in a game o+f chance and wits against ano+ther archfey, the O+wlbear - a representative o+f the mo+o+n
