Did I ever talk about the roleswap AU idea I had where Bill and Mina were in place of Dipper and Mabel, and Ford was in place of Stan? I don't have a LOT of ideas for it but I was thinking about it last night at work.

What's this? A mini comic?
@brewingcoffi I'll get to the second part of your comment later, that one feels more like a full piece plus another mini comic so it'll definitely take some time.
Quartermaster and Ford are talking about the multiverse and their experiences with the unnatural. Both are most certainly leaving out big pieces of personal information while doing so.
Stan is weary about Harrison due to his likeness to Bill Cipher, but not outright hostile. He is also a lot more subtle than the rest of his family about his mistrust when actually interacting with Harrison. (Harrison can't hear what they're saying in this btw)
I'll have to draw a "first meeting" thing later, gotta decide if I want to do one big one or a few separate ones that focus more on each character.
The way I'm doing this au so far is just bits and pieces all over the timeline. I might do a full linear comic at some later point in time but this is a lot more fun haha (gotta chase the happy chemicals)
Speaking of timelines, this au takes place in the first summer of Camp Camp (so no season 5) and a year after Gravity Falls so Dipper and Mabel are 13, almost 14. The Pines probably come in sometime after season one of Camp Camp? I need to rewatch both shows and take notes to be sure on the exact timeline.
Oh, also my friend wanted me to mention that I draw all my things on my phone? And that I sometimes draw on my laptop with a mouse on Animal Jam (haven't posted any of that on here tho). They think it's insane that I do that and that I only somewhat recently switched to using a pen instead of my finger. It is a lot easier and quicker with a pen tbh
Anyways, feel free to comment or use the ask box! Not everything will result in an art response but I'm always happy to talk more about this silly little crossover :]

alright, I'm caving because my brain won't stop thinking about it. Even though I know so little about Gravity Falls and I've lived vicariously through others since five-ever.
This is a long one, so buckle up.
So with the book of bill, some folks have said that bill can get reincarnated. My brain was like, "well, how about a back in time/different universe reincarnation au?" And this reincarnation makes Bill born as the older brother of Fiddleford (either as a fraternal twin or just by a year). Let's say Bill's real name is Williford Cyrus McGucket, because yknow, why not. He's definitely the sassier, charismatic brother, with some playful bickering. He's a bit heftier with black hair, and has a weird passion for bowties. He and Fiddleford are close and decide to go to the same college together. Bill goes to become an astronomer and astro physicist. He meets Stanford when he visits his brother's dorm room.
The three of them become close and after graduation, work together.
At some point, Bill catches the feels for Ford. However, he notices at one point, Fiddleford also has feelings for Stanford. Fidds doesn't outright say anything, but Bill can tell, because he knows his brother. Now, in this world, he actually loves others more, albeit he still has a rather arrogant attitude. So he has a moment to think about it, writes some letters, and 'quits' working with his brother and Ford. He packs his things and heads westward.
Fidds and Ford are shocked that he left, but reads his letters. Essentially, it says to them that he loves them both, wants to try something new with his life, and who knows from there. PS, you two make a cute couple. They both get nervous and embarrassed that Bill would say that, but in a cute turn of events, they wind up confessing to each other anyhow.
Bill is pretending to not be sad, trying to be happy for his brother and Ford, but can't help but throw himself a pity party when he stays in another state, still trying to figure out what to do with his life (we find out Bill is a wine snob thanks to this moment in his life). At some point a certain door to door salesman comes along who looks an awful lot like Ford. Confused, Bill thinks something weird happened to Ford, but the salesman is obviously Stanley. Bill befriends him and realizes that he could help him out in his business endeavors, due to his 'genius' and giving him the opportunity to figure out his own future if this goes well.
They hatch up a scheme of making an oddities tourist attraction ala Ripley's, in a place that is affordable, has "gullible" locals, and is something they can run with minimum effort and can make the most profit. (Btw, because of this, our boy Stanley dodges jail time)
Stanley and Bill create the Mystery Shack. Because Stanley has been on adventures with Ford and Bill has knowledge of weird things, they are able to take the time to explore Gravity Falls and catch cryptids and other curiosities there. It becomes an odd place where there's fake dead fairies, but a real mummy corpse. Fake cursed gold, but a probably very real cursed spear. They are both charismatic swindlers, but amazing business partners. Because of their similarities, they become great friends over time. "Mr. Decipher" likes to wear a top hat and a gold colored sport coat (Stan: "that jacket makes your hips stand out, like you're triangular shaped."). "Mr. Mystery" wears a fez and a nice suit. (Bill: "At least I don't look like a Shriner...")
Many years later, with a fairly successful, somewhat shadely run, business, Dipper and Mabel arrive. Stan is nervous and does everything to prepare, even asking Bill to shape up a bit too. Bill agrees, because Stan has been a great friend to him and it's amusing to see him so excited.
They have a wild summer. (Bill is a bad influence for Mabel in the party hard sense, but he also becomes a bit of a mentor to Dipper, due to his scientific background.)
At one point, Ford and Fiddleford stop by to visit. They all catch up. Bill is kind of awkward, even though he's written to them, called, 'made peace with being single', but still a little sad over missing out on a potential relationship. Ford thanks Bill for helping him and Fiddleford get together all those years ago and Bill gives him a sober and solemn "you're welcome, Sixer". The visit is pleasant and the rest of summer runs its course.
A day after Fidds and Ford leave, Stan sits down with Bill. He knows the story about why he stopped working with them and how putting distance between them made their bond with him grow. He also thanks him for their business, their friendship, and for helping with the twins. Bill is also grateful and thanks Stan for putting up with him all these years.
Mabel at some point asks Stan how he got such a weird boyfriend. Stan obviously gets all, "What are you talking about?!" At another point, Mabel asks Bill how he landed her grunkle Stan. Bill just stares at her and asks, "Little too much candy today, ey Shooting Star?"
Later that day, Stan is the first to relay Mabel's question and Bill laughs, "you too, huh?"
Stan asks if Bill wants to go out at sea some day on the Stan-of-War and enthusiastically Bill agrees.
Hope you enjoyed my nonsense. Sorry if a lot of it is rather inaccurate, but I guess that's what AUs are for? Lol. Cheers!

various things i want to write but probably never will
-i’ve mentioned before that i headcanon both the multiverse and nightmare realm to be living things. want to explore that concept
-slice of life but the life takes place entirely within the portal
-various different drifting/grifting stars style scenarios. fiddleford and ford end up in there (terrible outcome). mystery trio end up in there (somewhat less terrible). both mabel and dipper end up in there with ford. stan and one or both of the mystery twins end up in there with ford. etc. etc.
-instead of rebuilding the portal, stan has to build ford a new body
-ford becomes a ghost due to having unfinished business. stan tries to help him out with that
-that fuckin thing i mentioned with several alternate stans and fords and two fiddlefords and one shermie
-sea grunk ford gets fountain-of-youth-d but it doesn’t go quite as stan expected (he did not push him in. on purpose)
-au wherein ford is in the nightmare realm when it collapses on him
-the malfunctions :[
-vampiric lycanthropic stan twins
-au where dipper picks up ford’s gun instead of the memory gun
-dropping the stan twins into an empty void and seeing what happens
-sea grunks but stan never told ford he’s a werewolf and ford is afraid of canids
-if, upon killing bill, stan and ford were rewarded by the multiverse and nightmare realm (good job you did the thing we’re so proud of you two. oh the others? right yeah sure we’ll give them something nice too)
-au where ford spent a majority of his time in the multiverse within a dimension made up of anomalous caverns and now has to figure out how to adapt to being in his home dimension again
-sea grunks but at some point teenage versions of themselves tripped into their dimension and now they have to figure that out
-bill tries to cheat death via possessing past stan (around the time of the portal incident no less). future stan has to go back in time to erase past his’ mind again (for the first time?). future stan and past ford have a talk about the possible consequences of what just happened
-monster falls eyetrees style

Ideas for Gravity Falls AU because I love this idea
All the grandkids get involved in the crazy adventures
The Weirdmageddon (an apocalyptic event in GF's finale) in this AU involves Casita and the magic going haywire, probably due to Bill Cipher (GF's supernatural villain)
Alma and the adults are all oblivious to the crazy stuff going on until Weirdmageddon happens, and they're all just confused and terrified while the grandkids are mostly chill
At first Isabella tries to be her perfect, pre-movie self, but deep down she loves going on these crazy adventures because of how exciting they are so soon enough she lets loose, and when she does she becomes a force to be reckoned with, she's still 'Senorita Pefecta' with the adults, but with the grandkids, she's her wild true self
Mariano ends up getting captured by some supernatural entity, having no idea what's going on, and the grandkids have to save him, Dolores ends up being the one to get him outta trouble and from that point on he's head over heels for her, she's his 'Senorita in Shining Armor'
Mariano probably ends up getting trown into a few of their adventures
At one point, Mariano sees Isabella take out an extremely powerful creature while laughing, because she loves the adrenaline rush, and he becomes slightly scared of her
A group of giants end up mistaking Luisa as one of their own and basically adopt her, she's super freaked out but they're very kind and nurturing towards her, they're not evil, just confused, she ends up becoming an honorary giant
Every grandkid gets mistaken for a supernatural creature at one point or another
Isabella, Camilo, and Antonio are the excitable chaotic ones (like Mabel) and Dolores, Luisa, and Mirabel are the cautious logical ones (like Dipper)
Isabella, Camilo, and Antonio have grappling hooks while Dolores, Luisa, and Mirabel each have one of the three Journals (books in GF documenting all the supernatural things going on in the town)
The Journals in GF were written by Dipper and Mabel's long lost great uncle, who researched and investigated supernatural stuff, in the AU, the Journals are written by Pedro, who was researching magic, the place where the Encanto now stands was a hotspot for magical stuff, and the raiders were people who had spied on Pedro and realized what he was researching, so they attacked to try and take his research, Pedro realized he was being spied on and so he hid the Journals, when the raiders came he led Alma and the rest of his village to the magic place so they'd be safe, and in his dying moments, thanks to his extensive knowledge on how the magic worked, he used the magic to create the mountains, Casita, and the Miracle
Being mistaken for a supernatural at one point is just. So funny to me. Like dang, I know they're from outta town, but its not that bad 😭
Also Pedro woth the journals. I don't know much about the show, but I know about the journals and Stan having a twin brother??? (I think) who made them and hid them. But yes, I think that's pretty rad in and of itself. Gotta collect em all 🦅🦅
L on the adults for not noticing all the weird stuff. Ain't no way 💀

Is Mabel responsible for Weirdmaggedon?
Yes and No:
I mean, yes, its' true that Mabel isn't the only one to blame for causing Weirdmaggedon, that would go to Bill, who created it, Ford for creating the portal (being manipulated and lied to) and Stan for opening it ignoring Ford's warnings. I can't blame Dipper tho because he was just doing what his grunkle was telling him to do and, let's be honest, after Mabel was willing to give the journal to Bill knowing fully well that her brother's life was at stake, and the fact that Mabel had trusted Stan over Dipper, Dipper really had good valid reasons to trust Ford's word and follow.
But on the other hand, we can't deny that Mabel played a big part in it: is she alone to blame and the most to blame? No, of course not, but she had a big part in it. And these are the major problems:
* What she does to cause Weirdmaggedon is bad enough on it's own. Yes, you can claim that:
1. She doesn't know about the rift...except Blendin tells her clearly it belongs to Ford and Mabel states that she's looking through Dipper's bag, a bag she claimed she had prepared for a "mission to saving the world or whatever", meaning that she KNEW the rift belonged to her grunkle and brother and that it was important to the mission they had just gotten to.
2. She doesn't know it's Bill, true, but the point is, she knows it's Blendin, you know, the guy that tried to kill her twice just a couple of weeks ago, like, I think those are facts big enough to NOT to trust him right away.
3. She doesn't know that she's causing Weirdmaggedon...but she KNOWS she's trapping the entire town against their will in an endless time bubble so that she gets her summer last forever.
* After she causes Weirdmaggedon, she doesn't show remorse or guilt over what she did, and she doesn't try to stop it, in fact she knows what's happening, that her family and friends are in danger due to the situation she helped to create. And what does she do? She replaces her brother with a fricking walking insult towards him because apparently, he's not "supportive enough" for once taking something he wanted for himself, and guilts and threats him with a trial where, if he doesn't convince her to come back (aka giving up the apprenticeship, which is what upset her in the first place), she will kick him out in the apocalypse where he'll probably die, and only agrees once he promises to give it up for her.
* She never pays consequences or growth after what she did: Ford got tortured for days by being electroshocked, Stan sacrificed himself and Dipper suffered by surviving on his own in the apocalypse for 3 days straight trying to get his sister back. Mabel meanwhile had a blast in her bubble, replaced her twin and called it a day. And even after that, Mabel NEVER gets called out for causing Weirdmaggedon, and very less exposed, unlike Ford who Stan decides to play the blame game with, and Bill never reveals what Mabel had caused. In fact, she gets away with it.
Is Mabel 100% to blame for Weirdmaggedon? No, in fact, for me the problem isn't that she caused Weirdmaggedon, is that, after what she accidentally caused through clear bad actions, she absolutely didn't care about it and did nothing to solve it until she got what she wanted. THAT is what makes her responsible for it. You're not to blame for being lied and tricked, but if once you do reallize what you did wrong you shrug it off and you don't care, then THAT makes you to blame for ignoring your responsabilities. And yes, I know Mabel is 12...but so is Dipper, yet the show doesn't hesitate to force him to be more mature than his two grunkles combined, but Mabel gets spared for being the funny immature one, when both of them are co-protagonists.
Hence why I like CodyLabs's and Milky Boy Blue's works because it neither cuddles her up with a repeative lesson like Lost Legends or give her a curse luck to make needless edgyness like a CERTAIN AU, instead she is treated the same way other characters are without any special treatment.

The Inheritance AU Masterpost
A new Gravity Falls AU I’ve been thinking about non-stop for the past week or so, and now I’m going to inflict it on all of y’all. (Please note that the title is not set in stone, so if it turns out there’s already an AU by the same name I can still change it :V)
(Also, see the bottom for a shorter, tl;dr version).
I welcome any random questions you may have about the AU, although some of you may already know more. :V
CW: Character Death
The point of divergence from canon is the moment Grunkle Ford in the 80s decides to hide his journals from Bill - in a rare moment of sense, he chooses not to bury Journal 2 by Gravity Falls elementary and instead buries it much deeper in the woods. As a result, Gideon never finds it. This leads to several changes from canon, including, but not limited to:
Dipper & Mabel never have to deal with Gideon (because he never had any reason to want to buy/steal the Mystery Shack), and by extension Bill (because Gideon was the one who summoned him back to Earth in the first place).
Dipper never has Journal 3 stolen from him.
Grunkle Stan never gathers all three journals, and is therefore unable to complete the portal and bring Ford home (the portal was more-or-less in a functional state, but without the full activation code it may as well be a pile of scrap metal).
As a result of the above, the twins never learn Stan’s true identity or the identity of the Author.
Old Man McGucket never recovers his memories.
The Society of the Blind Eye is never disbanded.
As you can probably imagine, with no Gideon and no Bill, the summer of 2012 is much more low-stakes than it is in canon. Dipper takes Journal 3 home with him and decides to continue the mysterious Author’s legacy, setting himself up as his ‘apprentice’. Over the years, he gets no closer to solving the mystery behind the Author’s identity, and his focus shifts to researching new anomalies. He’ll always treasure Journal 3 as the book that started it all, but he concedes that it may be the one mystery he’ll never solve - and maybe it’s better that way.
Fast-forward to ten years later, the year 2022 - Dipper & Mabel, now in their 20s, have separated to pursue their own ambitions, but are reunited when they hear the news that their Grunkle Stan has passed away. He died peacefully in his sleep, said to have been from an infected wound that went untreated - unbeknownst to them, he’d suffered an injury when pushing himself beyond his limits on the portal, and stubbornly refused to seek medical attention.
The twins head back to Gravity Falls for Stan’s funeral and the reading of his will. Though Stan left his business to Soos and Melody, naming Soos the new Mr. Mystery (though Stan’s health had declined enough by that point that Soos was practically running the Shack anyway), the actual Mystery Shack itself he left to Dipper & Mabel - this is where the ‘Inheritance’ comes in. :V
The twins, currently going through something of a quarter-life crisis due to the less-than-ideal ways their ambitions have turned out, decide to move in and take a break, get their bearings. Meanwhile, Stan also left Soos a key in his will, along with instructions to use it to open a box in his office. Inside, Soos finds Stan’s old fake IDs, the ‘STAN PINES DEAD’ newspaper clipping, and a note written by Stan confessing everything - the portal, the real Stanford Pines, and how he lied to everyone for 40 years. His last orders for Soos are to continue his work on the portal and finish what he started - and never tell anyone else, especially not Dipper & Mabel; ‘they’d never forgive me if they knew’.
It’s not long after this that Soos - and later, Melody - start getting nightmares, seeing visions of Stan and a weird triangle demon in their sleep. Soos starts to think the Shack is haunted. Dipper gets to ghost harassing. Turns out it is haunted, but it’s not the ghost that’s the root of the issue.
Tl;dr: AU where Stan never reactivates the portal and dies while working on it ten years later, and Dipper & Mabel as adults inherit the Shack, while Soos inherits Stan’s mission. Also Stan’s a ghost now.

So due to reasons known as I Have A Hyperfixation I’m making a summary post about tau and explaining the entity dr so buckle down cause there’s a lot of explaining to do. And idk how to put everything under a cut please someone tell me how to do that on mobile.
So tau (transcendence au for gravity falls) is an au of gravity falls where around the end of weirdmaggedon (or in episode 4 season two or episode 11 season two also) Bill, in a last ditch attempt tries to possess Dipper without a deal to do so which ends horribly by Dipper being able to kick him out before he kills him(kinda) but at this point Bills already rooted himself so deep into Dip he loses his physical form and basically takes Bills place. This happens in a very short span of time in most of the fics and there’s either a very Fucked Up body or none at all.
Also the entire world is engulfed in weirdness now thanks to this and that leads to a lot of shit *coughs in Hanks Supernatural Mafia*. Mabel thinks dippers dead for a bit(not too long) but eventually dippers able to figure out how to leave the mindscape and due to a very strong bond between Mabes and Dip she’s able to see him and interact with Dipper. Eventually they figure out how to summon him and that also means other people figure it out too including cults who sacrifice random people and children it’s fucked I know and Dipper being one of the most humane demons in this universe ur gonna find, is pissed. So that leads to a lot of shit. I’m not very good at explaining this lmaoooo.
Anyways Mabel gets married to Henry Corduroy who’s so fucking great man Henry is awesome. This is already so long lmaooo. Anyways they have triplets and there’s a lot of adventures n shit because their uncle is basically an extremely powerful demon and kids like to say everything. Dipper also takes up Alcor as a second name because true names (he doesn’t consider mason his true name in this au because Canon Doesn’t Exist) are powerful as fuck and he could get hurt that way. Dipper (cause he achieved immortality) outlives everyone unfortunately and that leads to so many other arcs of reincarnations of Mabel (known as Mizar reincarnations)
some honorable mentions would be Sam who belongs to Rindomness (good mutual of mine btw great person go check them out) Belle who’s really fucking cool and I’ll edit this post with her fic when I find it known as RRR amoung the community (her storyline is dipper makes a deal with her dad to save her from cancer I believe in exchange for their memories of said deal and anything else to grow up alongside Belle and basically he fucks up and it doesn’t last for long but! Belle is great and doesn’t absolutely hate him for being a demon and sees him as a brother! Good arc go check it out). Fang who belongs to Aba-daba-do is a Mizar reincarnation around 5000 years after the transcendence happened and was raised by exorcists who hate Dipper btw so there’s that whole arc of them learning to trust each other and it’s a very interesting arc go check that one out too!
But in my dr I’m a year older than dipper and Mabel and I’m their sibling I’m not exactly sure if I should script immortality because dips might get too attached and I don’t want to get way too attached to my dr.
Anyways onto the Entity dr which after this post I’ll probably be referring to as the Alcor Dr a similar situation happens to me but in an identical universe to this I’m still kind of fleshing it out and questioning weather or not I should have this dr as an idea there but goddamnit this post is larger than Canada so maybe another time.

Soo yalls SU x GF crossovers made me watch Gravity Falls. Congratulations!
I don't think I'll make an outright AU (since... I have a lot) but maybe shirt comics or something? (Who knows, maybe it develops into an AU anyways)
I see most people headcanon GF starting around the time SU ends or the twins generally younger than Steven. For some reason I like the Idea of Steven being younger?
The twins are born 1999 from what I know so GF would have played 2012 since they at the end turned 13.
Steven was around 13 at the start of SU. I like the idea of him being 2 years younger (2001) as we don't have a canon birth year for him. So that would place SU starting for my headcanon around 2014-2015. Making SU Future end around 2017-2018.
I want to play with the concept of the age for the twins being around 18 turning 19 and Steven close to 17. Which would make it Summer 2018 in my book for this crossover!
This way all the very insane stuff is over so Steven won't need to carry any further extreme trauma from Bill and all that chaos. Our boy deserves a break! But they would still have smaller adventures.
At the end of GF Soos and his Grandma moved into the Mystery Shack. I feel like they would renovate the living space a bit and keep a bedroom for the twins to visit and maybe even for Stan and Ford to crash in whenever they return to Gravity Falls (They would actually go out travelling the world and different countries but come back every once in a while to spend time with friends and family!).
Due to Steven suddenly showing up during both pairs of twins staying at the shack he likely would share a room with Mabel and Dipper (Probably Mabels suggestion after finding out he's kinda stuck in GF until further notice).
(Yes this also includes some of my headcanon for what happens after GF ends)

WOW everyone who commented on my Wirt birthday post are amazing!
Here’s the au I’ve been working on where it started off as just a Ford Pines self insert, but turned into very interesting idea!
Stanley is kicked out and Ford goes to Backupsmore, while Penny stays in Jersey to help pay off her childhood home’s mortgage. All in the early 1970s.
Ford is awarded a doctorate 3 years ahead of schedule, and prepares to move to Gravity Falls, Oregon in 1973.
In the same instant, Ford gets a call from his parents and after he tells them he’s moving to the northwest, they inform him of Penny living with them. Shocked, Ford is conflicted. Should he go to his sweetheart? He couldn’t imagine what could’ve happened that made her stay in his parents home… After consulting with Fiddleford, he quickly travelled back to Jersey to confront Penny.
Penny explains that she couldn’t take care of the house like she thought she could, what with her book-keeping job as well as her secretary position AND the pressure from it all really weighing her down. She couldn’t help her home anymore so she turned to the only people she knew left in Glass Shard-- Filbrick and Caryn Pines. She had been pulling her weight with buying food, despite Caryn’s pleas to rest whenever she could and her job offers.
Ford listened and took her side. He said he was moving out West to Oregon and had wanted her to come with him. He missed her dearly and could clearly see she needed to get away-- Jersey is no place for a princess.
She accepts in a heartbeat at the thought of living out there, alone with her sweetheart amongst the wood.
1972-1979 Penny and Ford start a life of adventure in Gravity Falls up in their cabin in the woods, catalouging new anomalies every day! After such a hard time, Penny adores the relaxing atmosphere and spending time with her boyfriend after 3(ish) years.
C. 1976 Penny can’t help but begin to think about the future with Ford, and tries to decide whether or not they should marry. In her heart she knows she wants to, but in her mind she feels as though Ford wouldn’t be as on board for whatever reason. After speaking with Susan (Lazy Susan) and Lana (Wendy’s mom), her newfound friends, she decides she has to speak with Ford!
After being avoided most of the day by her beloved (due to him being very distracted by the mystery of the Hide-Behind, and eventually their unavoidable run-in with it. emotional scenes with Penny’s annoyed tone) At the end of the day, Ford admits over dinner that he was avoiding her for the whole day due to his nervousness. After being asked why, he tells her that… “I’ve been fascinated by anomalies my whole life-- the Hide-Behind, the Gnomes, the Eyebats, that UFO theory I’ve still got stuck in my head--” “Stanford, please.” “--Even I, as normal as I may seem, my six fingers made me who I am today! … But… “ Ford reaches in his coat’s pocket, and pulls something from it and places it on the dinner table. “You, Penelope Wright, have been the one thing that’s done both for me-- Fascinated me, baffled me, cherished me, twirled me ‘round and ‘round again ‘til I was dizzy with delight.” “Ford, what’re ya sayin’?” “Penny, dearest... “ He reveals the item, it being a ring with the sweetest red gem in its center shaped like a rounded heart. Penny sniffled, “The apple… Stanford, you’re such a prince!” Before he could utter those four simple words, Penny kissed him breathless. When she pulled away, he was flushed from his ears to his nose and asked her then, whispered against her lips. She said yes, and then many times that night.
C. 1977 Bill realizes his plan is being challenged by this engagment! He had never thought of Penny to be a true problem until now, what with the now foretold probability of the wedding and children as a distraction! Bill makes a deal with Lana to guide Ford to the cave in which Bill was scribed by the natives in exchange for a long life. Ford summons Bill and to no avail, nothing happens until Ford falls asleep.
It was then Ford dreams about Bill and begins to work with him to open his dimension to study the weirdness of Gravity Falls and beyond.
With the new development in the mysteries, the wedding is delayed and Ford and Penny become very busy in their new findings with Bill’s help.
C. 1978 Fiddleford McGucket is employed as the head engineer in building the Portal to the other dimension. Upon hearing the news of Stanford’s engagment, he hoorah’d and congradulated his old roommate.
C. 1978-1979 The portal has been built, as well as the bunker and the second level of the basement. Fiddleford begins to despise his creation and begs Ford not to follow through with his plans and instead publish his findings and settle down properly with Penny. Ford declines and they move to test the portal the next day, Jan 18th 1979.
Jan 19th 1979. Fiddleford gets sucked into the portal, but then gets rescued by Penny and quits the whole she-bang.
Jan 20th, 1979. Bill sees that he has to manipulate Penny, too. She’d been taking Fidds’ side, and since she’s very close with Ford, it’s necessary. He enters her dreams and states that if she make a deal with him, he can make him see reality again. To Penny’s knowledge, Ford’s been driven to madness with his paranoia and struggles to see the light. Bill says that he can fix everything. If he ensconced a baby in Penny’s womb, one that’s both her’s and Ford’s completely, he will see the light again. In return, she has to take a hike. She makes the deal, and he ultimately sends her away. Confused, she cries. But when Bill explains that he basically makes her pregnant with a baby of a man that ‘doesn’t love her anymore’, and literally told her to ‘take a hike’. Embarrassed and humiliated, she flees into town and stays there, leaving Bill to torment Ford to his isoceles heart’s delight.
Sometime in October, before the 22nd, 1979. Penny gives birth to little Walter in Sacred Hirsch Community Hospital. At this point in time, Ford has been thrown into the portal by accident and Stanley has taken his place, in the process of making money for the new Murder Hut.
1980. Penny interrogates this new so-called Mr. Mystery, thinking he’s Ford. She rips at him, accusing him of neglecting her and hurting her. A lot of anger comes out, as well as sadness and despair and raw misery when she says that he no longer cared about her, and she doubted he ever had in the first place. When Stan pulls her to the side and finally looks her in the face clearly (before he was frantically looking around the room, his hut full of customers), he recognizes her faintly as Penelope Wright, the girl Sixer was in kahoots with back in Jersey. He sees her and the now crying baby she’s holding and connects the dots, and is flabbergasted that he’s an uncle! Well, he was already an uncle but that was for Shermie! Penny argues that it was a mistake. Little Walter was the making of a demon named Bill Cipher, and she never should have trusted him. Stan then takes her down to the basement and shows her what he’s done.
1981. Penny gets a job as a waitress at Greasy’s Diner with a little help from Lazy Susan.
1982. Penny needs to start fresh. Despite the fact that she’s got a job and is living with Stanley with a 3 year old Wirt (despite being named Walter, his first word was an attempt at ‘squirt’, which was a nickname given to him by Stanley. Everyone simply calls him Wirt now), she misses all the adventure from when she had Ford. Realizing she’s missing Ford, that son of a bitch that fell into a hole so deep he couldn’t climb out, she needs to get away. She saves up money from her Greasy’s job and now the Mystery Shack (unofficially hired. Stan just says that she’s always rearranging and flipping stuff over and it happens to look nice so he gives her some funds. She’s tried to refuse the money before, but he intensly insisted that she take it.) and moves to Arizona. Teary goodbyes are made and she hugs Stan the tightest of all, telling him to keep in touch.
1983-1994. Walter “Wirt” Wright is living in Arizona with his mother, Penelope Wright.
C. 1985. Greg Universe visits town and performs a live gig and seduces Penny. After a couple of succesful dates, they end up having unprotected sex. Not long after, he leaves town for another gig in Delmarva, doing gigs along the way. She ends up falling pregnant and struggles to comprehend the consequences.
C. 1986. Gregory Wright is born.
C. 1994. Halloween night, Wirt and Greg experience an adventure in The Unknown.
1999. Mason and Mabel Pines are born from Randy Pines and Kathy Pines
(2003. Steven Universe is born from Gregory “Universe” DeMayo and Pink “Rose Quartz” Diamond. Everything that happens with Steven is seperate from Dipper, Mabel, Wirt, and Greg.)
Update - Summer 2012. Penny takes a vacation to Gravity Falls and visits the Mystery Shack. She marvels at Dipper and Mabel and exclaims their cuteness. Mabel likes her when she’s given a butterscotch, but Dipper can’t help but question her motives. She seems awfully close with Stan and gets along well with everyone! Is she hiding something?
All is well until Dipper catches Penny trying to steal Journal #3, and he fights with her over it in his bedroom. Penny falls down and cracks something, making her scream. Stan rushes upstairs and takes Penny away, giving Dipper a nasty stinkeye. He tries to argue that she was trying to take his Journal, and Stan reacts by taking it himself.
Stan and Penny argue in the basement, saying that Dipper should have the Journal back. Stan tries to argue that he shouldn’t, but gives in. After making photocopies, Penny gives it back to Dipper. At first Dipper is skeptical, but awes when she tears up in front of him about it.
“Wow… You really care about the author, don’t you?” “Yeah, we were close…” She sits down beside him, opening the Journal to the Gnomes. “I remember the first time we saw the gnomes together… They tried to take me as queen!” “No way! They took Mabel as queen two weeks ago!” DIpper interjected, to which Penny laughed. “That explains this, then!” She pointed her crooked finger to the words; “Weakness: LEAFBLOWERS!” They both laughed.
At the end of it all, Dipper trusted Penny infineitly more. He was also more curious, as she knew the author. She wouldn’t give him a straight answer, however. Just saying he reminded her of her own son, Walter.
Penny stays in Gravity Falls until the Twins’ Birthday is over and they’re heading off to California.
August 22-25 2012. Weirdmageddon takes place. Penny serves as a scavenger and is found by McGucket and taken back to the Mystery Shack to be protected. She joins in the fight to defeat Bill Cipher, and when everyone’s in the Fearamid, it’s the first time Penny’s seen Stanford in nearly 33 years. He begins by saying hello, and saying he missed her. Before he can say anything further, she hugs him tightly, saying that he can apologize later. He prepares to retort, but when seeing Fidds’ face in response, he quietly hushes and hugs her back.
August 28 2012. Ford apologizes for how he acted and what he had done to her, like he always should have. She tells him about their son Wirt and he’s shocked. She tells him the deal she made and how she moved out of the state. After that conversation he hugs her tight and says she never should have gone through that. If he were a better man back then, she wouldn’t have had to make a deal to have a baby.
The same day, Mabel secretly arranges a wedding for her Grunkle Ford and new ‘Grauntie Penny’. Stan is on the sidelines for the whole occassion, but finally takes his brothers side as the Best Man. Mabel is the flower girl and Dipper bares the rings, while Susan is her maid of honor. Stanford promises to protect and cherish her for as long as he lives. Penny promises to care for him and heal him when the times arise. They smooch after some crazy heartfelt vows, thus they are married.
October 15 2012. Penny and Ford celebrate Wirt’s 33rd birthday. Wirt still isn’t used to his dad but comes around when he sees just how quizzical he is. They’re so alike it’s crazy!
November 2012. Penny joins Stan and Ford on the Stan ‘O War II.
(just to keep track-- in 2020 Wirt is 41, Dip and Mabs are 21, Greg is 34, and Steven is 17)
Mans that’s what I have! I’d love to hear anything from y’all about this!

Gravity Falls Portal 2 AU??
So I saw @punkcider ‘s art where Grunkle Ford is Cave Johnson; it’s SO good. It makes so much sense giving that they have the same voice actor and they have very similar personalities.
The more I thought about it though, I’m wondering why isn’t there more content for a Gravity Falls Portal 2 AU?
This list of ideas is not really fit to be put into a story, but its just kind of one idea of a timeline. I’m sure there are many other really cool things to be done with the idea of this AU like how Dipper and Mabel come in or the story being set in Michigan where game is actually set but I just gave my first thoughts.
Here are my ideas :
Stanford = Cave Johnson
Fiddleford = Rattmann
Caroline = herself (maybe with another name)
Chell = herself (probably with a different name)
Bill = GLAdOS (until Caroline takes that place; more on that later)
Everyone else I think could stay relatively the same
(Btw I’m kinda going with that theory that Chell is Caroline’s and supposedly Cave Johnson’s daughter or maybe just that Cave and Caroline were together? idk it isn’t necessary)
Basically, Ford and Fidds found Aperture Science with Portal Guns and anomalies
Fidds works mostly on moon rocks and materials from the resident spaceship under Gravity Falls
The portal guns give them enough funding for their other experiments
They have very few employees but start an underground facility with an inconspicuous building above ground to remain low key in such a small town as Gravity Falls
Caroline is hired to be Fords assistant
Business goes on for about a year, eventually
Bill becomes Ford’s muse saying that there are bigger things than just portals that transport you here and there (thus begins the work on the interdimensional portal)
Ford builds GLAdOS as a puppet for Bill to be able to talk to the other scientists
Bill is fine for a while and the scientists just kind of tolerate his weirdness
Scientists gradually quit due to Bill becoming harder to work with and more disturbing and invasive in the minds of the scientists
Fiddleford is going insane from exposure to the moon rocks
Ford becomes more and more stressed and easily agitated because of the project.
Caroline makes a deal with Bill to do anything to finish the project to take the weight off of Ford
Bill manipulates this, possessing her and putting her consciousness into GLAdOS (She can’t control it, it ain’t just a sock puppet)
Bill goes to the portal, Ford and Fidds are there, very perplexed
Bill turns on the portal and almost has it on long enough to cause a rift, and exposes his inevitable plan until Fiddleford turns the machine off
Bill leaves Carolines body Ford grieves, its sad, Fiddleford leaves for good
Caroline can either just stay a robot or be preserved so we can bring her back (idk i haven’t decided which would be better)
Ford calls in Stan to hide the Journal blah blah blah Ford falls in the portal
Thing could probably go on pretty normally from here on, probably with foreshadowing to a more futuristic mystery downstairs. Like maybe a differently styled mystery shack and white walls under the wallpaper or something, idk
Random Thoughts:
Wheatly: Waddles?
Dipper and Mabel test subjects
Set in the actual Aperture Science in upper michigan
Dipper and Mabel: P-body and ATLAS?
Maybe an abandoned aperture science undergound in Gravity Falls, and the Pines (both sets of twins? family angst?) find it and Glados becoming the first new test subjects since Chell
I think this is as far as I’m going to go for now. But I got one option for backstory written down. Although the backstory is super important I think what happens after Dipper and Mabel appear is the most important. (backstories don’t always need to be action by action)
I’m not actually sure how much content there is in this AU, but I’ve seen a couple pictures/fanart of other renditions or other interpretations of this au but I’d love to see more!

Relativity Falls with theme Switches
Relativity falls is my favorite AU for a lot of reasons, so I wanted to try my own take. What if the characters have the same arcs, but their roles are switched around?
Mabel hates lying and not ready to accept she’s getting older, that just means something different at 62 vs 12. Dipper would never estrange his sister and probably wouldn’t build a portal, but a ghost hunting show where he figures out mysteries? definitely!
Relativity Falls with Teens takes place the summer  after the Stan Twins fight, except when Stanley was kicked out he was taken in by Crazy Aunt Mabel and supposedly her “absent” brother, Great (Uncle) Dipper.
Ford is not told where his brother is staying, and their mother convinces him to visit his crazy Aunt for his last summer until college, allowing him to get away from the sour memories Stanley has left behind. (and Filbrick’s negativity) Only to come face to face with his twin when he gets there.
Events in the show slightly change to fit each character. Obviously the Gnomes aren’t after Stanley to marry, but because he pulled a money Scheme. Not What (S)he Seems is more how their Great Aunt has been telling the truth the whole time rather than being the kook they assumed.
In many ways, Ford is the main character, befriending Bill and needing to make it right, with the story a bit darker due to their age and the issues his story has. But Stanley is right behind, always coming up with an excuse he should tag along (the Stanley Mobile) and trying to win his brother over even though they are both angry.

I’ve been thinking a lot about a certain much spoken of arc ender lately, and so I decided to tell ya’ll a little more about this trio of chapters I like to call.... Rifts/Memories/Dimensions.... Under the cut however, if you wanna go into them totally blind (which I recommend but whatever, you guys won’t fucking listen to me so let me just say you have been fucking warned):
So I dunno this is gonna be a random dump of info that I just felt like sharing right now. Some of this is stuff you guys already knew but some of it is totally new so here we go:
Rifts/Memories/Dimensions will be completely and totally original, borrowing from basically no preexisting GF or SU episode. It will borrow information for lore and such from journal 3, but that’s honestly about it.
All three of these chapters are hugely important for both Dipper and Steven’s character development in UF, which is important because I personally consider those two to be the two main characters of the fictional tbh
Yes, these three chapters will be the catalyst event that will give way to the UF AUs appearing after them. As for what that catalyst is and who’s involved in causing it... I’ll just say that Stepper (more specifically though, Dipper) is gonna shoulder the guilt for that.
More than half of Rifts is going to be a fairly climactic battle between Stepper and Bill (and yeah, as you would expect, Stepper is gonna get fucking banged up to no one’s business)
Said battle will likely take place in... the Nightmare Realm (ain’t gonna give away how or why yet tho)
The framing device for Rifts (hell, most of the arc ender in general) will be a rather severe falling out between Dipper and Steven (that will have been sort of built up for a while in previous chapters, but will reach its height in Rifts)
Rifts could very much be described as a “kick the dog” chapter, with the metaphorical dog being Stepper in this instance and the metaphorical kicker being Bill
Stepper will have pretty much a total breakdown in Rifts (can’t blame the poor things tbh)
Rifts is gonna be filled with some high quality nightmare fuel (probably some of the darkest in UF up until that point)
Rifts as a chapter may or may not conclude with Stepper being forced into making a deal with Bill (despite really not wanting to)
Rifts will end with on a cliffhanger
Memories is gonna have a bunch of characters in it and will likely serve as the lull point in the arc ender (fueled more by emotions than plot)
Rose’s fountain will make a reappearance in Memories
Memories primarily deals with the revelation that by making whatever deal with Bill, Stepper lost something (and based on the chapter title you can probably guess what that something is, but I will say there’s a lot more to it than that)
For that reason, Stepper will be hindered incapable of infusing until a solution can be found
Despite the Gems and Ford fearing the worst, Mabel is going to try her best to remain optimistic in this terrible situation, and will do everything in her power to help Stepper
Cue a bunch of bittersweet moments between Mabel and Stepper, as well as Stepper interacting with characters that he hasn’t yet, including Lapis and Pacifica and so on
Lapis is going to be a rather prevalent supporting character in Memories/Dimensions, though Peridot will only make a somewhat short appearance in Memories, due to some... other spoilers things...
Connie will be absent for the duration of Rifts/Memories/Dimensions, due to her family being away on vacation (don’t worry though, she’ll have her time to shine in the chapter after all this (which I’ll also talk a little about near the end of this post)
Memories will draw some parallels between Stepper and Maven (specifically how Maven was in their debut chapter)
Stan and Ford will likely have a pretty big argument over what’s going down because they are both seriously at the risk of losing their nephew forever so, yeah
Basically Memories will be one big ball of tension, drama, and angst
There’s gonna be a really sad but also really sweet scene between Mabel and Stepper towards the end of the chapter
Memories will also end on a cliffhanger
Dimensions will be excessively climatic and very significant
Basically its just a huge confrontational chapter against Bill
The characters involved in said confrontation will include Stepper, Mabel, Ford, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Lapis, and Stan (and yes, we will get to have some interactions in here between Bill and Lapis and Stan)
Alexandrite will likely appear in Dimensions, so will Dipevebel and Maven
Steven’s “dream invasion” powers will play a very significant role in this chapter
Dimensions may or may not feature what’s known as a “Disney death” scene
There will be a pretty horrific callback to Sock Opera in Dimensions (like there will be in Rifts too, but especially in Dimensions)
Stepper will be forcibly unfused at one point in the chapter, but will reform before the climactic battle stuff is all said and done (mostly so he can have a role in setting off whatever goes down to get the AU stuff rolling)
Even after the danger has passed (not saying if it will be in the form of a victory or a loss because its honestly kind of both), Stepper will remain fused, mostly out of Steven wanting to ensure that Dipper will be... ok after everything that’s happened
The “resolution” section of Dimensions will indeed Stepper having a full on fusion hallucination
The feelings Stepper (both of his halves really) are going to be dealing with in the aftermath of all this are huge and painful
Dimensions will make you fucking cry (I know because I’ll be crying writing it)
Garnet is gonna provide her wisdom/comfort to Stepper in his initial “recovery” period
Yes, the boys will unfuse by the end of the chapter (but they’ll both still be emotional messes)
The chapter immediately following all this (the first one of arc 9) is entitled Theory of Weirdness, and will feature two plots
The A plot will focus more on Dipper trying to cope with everything that just happened with Ford’s help (and this will come in the form of that scene in journal 3 where Dipper tells Ford his real name because its beautiful and pure and deserves a place in UF and there’s no place more fitting for it than here)
The B plot will follow the plot of Gem Hunt more or less, but will also focus not only on how Steven’s recovering from what happened, but also Mabel’s guilt over not being able to do much about it and Connie’s guilt over not even being around to help at all
We will probably get to see Mabonnven in that chapter (they won’t fight Jasper or anything but still)
Basically its all gonna be fucking angst for the duration
All of it all four of these chapters are gonna break me
The after effects of these chapters are going to be felt pretty much throughout the rest of UF, for everyone involved, and will be brought up time and time again
Hell even by the time the sequel rolls around it’ll all still be significant
Rest in pieces kids because ya’ll gonna die from feels when you read them
Hahahahahah afuck I’m so far away from these chapters but whatever there’s some speculation for ya. Bye!

So I’ve Been Thinking
(probably not good that I’m thinking, but ehhh)
It might be hard, but I have so many different AU ideas for Gravity Falls and Undertale. If anyone has lots of experience in the AU communities, I’d love to get some help on investigating to whether these have been done before or not. I’ll post the base ideas below the cut, and if you like any of them, please let me know! I really want to start leaving a mark somewhere since these people and communities have helped me so much.
(Note, all of these AU’s will be written AU’s. I will do some art, but not to the point where it’s a comic like most AU’s)
Undertale AU Ideas
Renegetale: Renege means simply to go back on your word. A world with slightly different events leading up to the deaths of Asriel and Chara, which leads to Asgore not saying he’ll kill all humans, which leads to many of the promises being made in Undertale never being made or becoming broken. It all leads up to the falling of Frisk, who has to go through the Underground. It’s the first AU I really ever thought of, and has gone through about a month or two of preparation and planning, and I’m still not where I need to be.  (I have Frisk planned to be non-binary and Chara planned to be female, due to some of the events that happen and older-time views when “she” was alive of girls being inferior to boys, which influences some of “her” decisions)
Underemblem: An Undertale and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright crossover AU. The following (main) swaps occur, with many others as well:
Frisk -> Corrin Chara -> Azura Sans -> Ryoma Undyne -> Hinoka Papyrus -> Takumi Asriel -> Sakura Toriel -> Mikoto Asgore -> Sumeragi Alphys -> Yukimura Justice (Human Soul) -> Garon Bravery (Human Soul) -> Xander Patience (Human Soul) -> Camilla Integrity (Human Soul) -> Leo Kindness (Human Soul) -> Elise
This AU is only loosely based upon the Fire Emblem game itself. The Ebott kingdom is at war with their neighbors, (Unknown name), as in the FE game, but there are other changes. “Sumeragi” is not dead. “Azura” is not kidnapped, instead willing leaving her home. It takes the basic plot of Birthright with a few twists, shaping a war between humans and monsters and Frisk’s story. (In this AU, I have Frisk planned to be male and Chara to be female, for the reason that during the time period Fire Emblem takes place, gender is very important when it comes to who rules what.)
Gravity Falls AUs
Portal Falls: A world in which Ford’s portal is not created until much later on in his life, only being finished about the time Mabel and Dipper are born. During a fight with Stan almost identical to the canon one they have, both twins fall into the portal. 19 years later, Mabel and Dipper are informed by their parents about the disappearances of their uncles, which leads them to accepting an offer to become the new owners of the “Mystery Shack” and looking for the journals to bring the portal and their uncles back. The journals are long found by other people (Gideon has the second, as per the show, but I’m still debating on who has the third), and their only lead is the first journal, which was left behind in the portal room since nobody dared to go in there since it was found out what had happened.
??? (Currently code-named Separation Anxiety): A world in which at the end of “Dipper and Mabel VS The Future”(S2E17), Mabel accepts Dipper taking the apprenticeship offer, and heads back to California on her own. Even with the rift sealed, Bill is still lurking (of course) and Mabel is trying to figure out just why she was left alone to California, making a lot of false assumptions and whatnot, leading to her changing in an attempt to become more like Dipper and Ford so she can stay back in Gravity Falls with them the next time she gets the chance to visit.
If you liked any of these at all, please let me know so I know if it’s worth it to start further development and if you can, I’d really appreciate any help I can get when it comes to looking around for the ideas!
