AITA for not getting into Genshin Impact?

(note: This situation happened two years ago, back when me and both parties involved were in our final year of high school- I am 19 now, and haven't been in contact with both people since. However, I recently brought this situation up with my current friend group and even though they said I'm NTA, it did get me thinking, so I wanted to get a different view on the situation from an unbiased party)

T (F) and J (NB) used to be best friends back in primary school, yet ended up splitting after J essentially ditched T for a new group of friends. When I (F) had to move town and go to a new school due to my mother's work, I ended meeting T, and the two of us became fast friends. We ended up going to the same high school, and stayed friends.

However, looking back on our friendship now, there were a few red flags that I ignored at the time. For example, both of us have ADHD, and while T was more than happy to infodump about her hyperfixations to me and I was more than happy to listen and ask questions, when it was my turn to infodump, she'd zone out and only pipe up to crack jokes. Whenever I tried to be genuine and start a serious discussion with T, she'd quickly change the subject. T never had a problem with telling me off whenever I did something to upset her, yet when I tried to do the same, she'd essentially go "nuh-uh" and try to dismiss my feelings.

One thing that stuck with me was when, one day, the two of us were having a conversation about meme songs, and she brought up 'What Does the Fox Say?'. I made a comment about how that song was my late father's favourite song, and T (knowing how close I was with my father and how sensitive I still was about his death), told me verbatim "No offense, but your dad deserved to die if that was his favourite song."

Despite all these obvious signs that T was not a good friend to me, I stuck with her- after all, she was my only true friend, and I had a very difficult time trying to make new friends.

Cue to a few years, when J decides that they want to try and apologize to T and hopefully become friends with her again. Even though it took a while for J to fully earn her trust back, T eventually accepted the apology and J joined our friend group.

This is when the trouble started.

While T and J like being in larger fandoms and getting interested in whatever game/show is trending right now, I myself tend to stick to smaller fandoms due to anxiety and like to get into new media at my own pace- for example, when Monster Prom was popular back in 2018, I avoided the fandom like the plague, and only decided to give the games/community a shot last year. I also find I get incredibly upset when I try to force myself into a hyperfixation, so I find it kind of hard to join new fandoms until it feels right for me.

So, in 2021, while I was still in my Pokémon hyperfixation from the previous year, J and T had gotten into Genshin Impact. They played the game every day as soon as they got home from school, and would talk about it constantly, often ignoring what I had to say to do so. As I mentioned before, I had no issue with listening to them and asking questions, yet I did have an issue when they couldn't extend the same courtesy to me. It made me fed up that they'd never give me an opportunity to talk about something I liked, yet expected me to politely sit back and listen to them.

Soon enough, they noticed that I was starting to go silent during conversations and wouldn't even bother to add in, so T messaged me to ask what was wrong. I told T my honest feelings about the whole situation, and they claimed that I should just get into the game so we could all talk about it together. When I told her that wouldn't solve my issue of them ignoring my own interests, she snapped and claimed that I was being insensitive about what was her and J's comfort game and that I should be putting more effort into the relationship. We had a bit of back-and-forth, with me telling T about how I felt excluded and unwanted in the group, and her dismissing my feelings and claiming I was being too sensitive. After that, I cut ties with both of them, and haven't spoken to them since.

So, I ask again: AITA for not just forcing myself into liking a game I had no interest in to maintain our friendship?

fr tho, she’s not just my fiancee she’s my best friend and i love her so so much. if no one’s got my back, i know she does, and i have hers. If i need to yap about something, I know she’ll listen and hype me up, and i absolutely do the same for her. She’s truly one of the kindest, most caring people I’ve ever met in my entire life, and I genuinely get very very sad when she goes out of state for college because i miss her 😭

I can text her about a problem or something I’m upset about and she’ll respond with “NTA, divorce” and it’s genuinely the FUNNIEST fucking thing

We have this thing that she’s not allowed to speak while I’m drinking something or have food in my mouth because she chooses the absolute worst moments to say the funniest things and having water come out your nose HURTS, and a few months ago we were getting coffee and she waited until I took a nice big sip before showing me the stupidest tiktok I’ve ever seen and everyone in the coffee shop had to watch me fight for my fucking life. And yes it is a bit annoying to choke and die every time i eat or drink around her, but I do genuinely love the way this mf looks at me like :3 before showing me a meme. istg she does it on purpose /j

every time we play bg3 together she fucking sits there and waits for me to think she wont do it, and then shoves my fucking character or hits them with a sword and then RUNS AWAY AND I CAN NEVER GET HER BACK BECAUSE SHES TOO FAST 😭

she’s also the one who OFFICIALLY got me into Zelda, so without her I probably wouldn’t have gotten into LU. I’d played the og LOZ before when I was 12, but when we were 18 the two of us when to target and she was like “hey man this seems like something you’d like” and had me play the BOTW demo and now I’m here. She gave me the final push and I’ve been yappin’ here ever since. And I think it’s funny that it was my constant yapping that was the final push for HER to get into HER current hyperfixation, bg3. we cursed each other /j

i also love that i’ll go check to see if she got home okay (because i have her location) or im just curious to see what she’s doing, and then I’ll find her in the middle of a fucking lake out of the goddamn country. It never fails to make me laugh 😭

but yeah she’s great, she’s awesome, she’s the funniest person alive, i love her, she’s my best friend, we’re gonna hang a framed photo of autism creature on our wall once we’re able to get an apartment. and there’s no one else who will continue to say “GO PISS GURL!!!” with me in 2024 🫶

Saw this post and for some reason it spiked the thought in me of both Dipper AND Mabel doing this (I think because I saw a post with a similar premise but with Mabel? You might've written it I dunno...)

And so it kinda spiked like. What if Mabel and Dipper try and hide that they're doing that from each other, until one (or both) of them get so bottled up with their thoughts they just randomly blurt it out, and both of them have a moment of "oh em gee, you too???"

Idk where else that could go but it was a silly thought and I wanted to share with someone, so. Idk hope you like this!! Even if you don't it was nice to get it out of my head :)

I did in fact make a similar post about mabel with her writing fanfiction about stancest, getting a crush on them and peeping on em. (idk if thats the one youre refering to)

But i love this idea, dipper and mabel both sneaking tryna catch a glimpse of the grunks together, running into each other *spiderman pointing meme* but not realizing why the other is sneaking around.

Mabels writing poly fanfic of her and the grunks and Dips got his journal where he's writing all his filthy lil thoughts, not quite outright fanfic.

I dont know what would cause it but i can totally see mabel being like "omg i love them so much. Need those old men to sandwhich me. I need to be between them right now." Maybe she's writing her fanfic and just starts fujoing out loud and dips like "huh?" But it doesnt quite click yet. He assumes she's talking about some fictional men from whatever fandom is her current hyperfixation cause why whould he assume she's talking about the grunks.

I can see mabel as being slightly more laid back when shes not fangirling to herself while writing her fics. She's capable of being normal around the stans. But dippers is actually going insane, bro is zoning out staring at either of the grunks, definitely almost slips more then once and blurts out his feelings to them. He's just struggling for real.

He'd be the one to burst and end up revealing his feelings with mabel being "oh em gee, me too!!!" He's going on a full rant talking about its not fair and theyre old and gross or at least stan is. And mabel definitely protests at that because how dare he... stan is wonderful and amazing but dipper keeps ranting, not paying attention.

"He shouldnt be hot. I shouldnt think theyre hot. Whats wrong with me. Its not fair. Why'd i have to go and fall in love with both of them" And mabel would politely wait for him to finish his rant but he just keeps going and going and mabel slowly starts to get fed up so she grabs him by the shoulders and shakes him till he shuts up.

"Dip-dop." She'd say slowly, as if talking to an idiot. "Me too."

Dipper would tilt his head, eyes studying her in confusion as if trying to figure her out. "You... too?"

And shed give him a look because he's definitely smart enough to put it together instead of standing there staring at her like she has two heads. He'd get it after a moment.

"Ohhhhh! You toooooo!..... You too?!?" And then they'd talk about it. Mabel ranting about how great stan is and how hot both the grunks are and how she wants to be sandwiched between them. She'd definitely be more open about it. Dipper is hesitant at first. Its clear that he's more comfortable talking about his feelings for ford then he is with his feelings for stan.

Mabel would share her poly fics with him and offer to write some with dipper as their third and at first dipper just wants him x ford fics but eventually he caves and asks her to write him all types of poly stuff for him and the grunks. (And even some of him x stan)

He even shows her his filth journal so she can incorporate some of his fantasies (dont imagine them drawing ship fanart together sharing a hiding spot. Adding to the pile like they're penpals passing notes back and forth)

Mabel eventually starting to write pinesot4 fics and being hesitant to share them with dipper at first cause yeah she has always had a teeny crush on her nerdy twin but he's never indicated reciprocating those feelings and yeah they both have crushes on/are in love with the grunkles but this is different. This is them.

But then he goes all red and hesitantly kisses her. And now theyre sneaking around just as much as the stans are. She convinces him to dress up Mystery Mystery for her (like he did in that one ep) and they sometimes take turns roleplaying as the stans for each other. (Imagine one dressed up, role playing stan and the other as ford at the same time. Mabel would make all the jokes about double twincest. Twincest² if you will.)

Theyre still lil peepers but now they talk to each other about the things they catch glimpses of. Stan and ford kissing, cuddling on the couch, the secret little convos they have. They defintely do the silent eye contact twin telepatgy thing when they happen to catch the stans groping eachother on the sly.

Sometimes they just lay up at night, cuddled together (dipper is forsure little spooning lol) and talking about their feelings. Them talking about how they love seeing their grunkles together just as much as they love the idea of being between them or of all of them being together. Just talking about how amazing it would be if the four of them could share their love and falling asleep with their hands intertwined, wishing for something just outta reach.

Leo

He loves to burry his face in your wings, letting the soft feathers tickle his face.

His favourite pet name for you is "angel".

When you snuggle in bed together, you use your wings as a blanket. It's one of the best kind of blankets for Leo.

Usually, when you're out on a little stroll in the air, a portal randomly pops up and Leo jumps through. Sometimes he sends you a kiss or a wink before disappearing in another portal.

Other times he just lets himself fall, counting on you to catch him, giving you a heart attack in the process.

He always says something along the lines of "looks like I fell for you" when you catch him.

He loves to tease you because you fluff up your wings whenever you get flustered and he thinks it's the most adorable thing ever.

Whenever the two of you are sitting on the couch reading comics or scrolling through memes, you often pet his back or hug him with your wings.

Donnie

He often studies your wings: How the air currents move around them, their shape and movement. You don't mind, since you love helping him out with his science.

And since Donnie doesn't do physical affection all that often, which is you enjoy the careful touches on your wings a lot.

Donnie secretly enjoys it too and sometimes uses his research as an excuse to touch your wings.

When Donnie does seek out physical affection from you, you enjoy every second of it. The texture of your feathers is extremely soothing for Donnie.

Some dates consist of the two of you flying through the night sky. You need to make some breaks, because sometimes you can't keep up with his jetpack.

Those breaks usually consist of the two of you sitting on a rooftop sharing a pizza and talking.

During breaks, especially after small sky races, you tend to fall asleep from exhaustion. Donnie then always carries you back to the lair.

You may or may not have faked falling asleep just so Donnie carries you.

Mikey

He always seeks shelter under your wings when it rains during a date, leaning against you in the process.

He made wing stickers for his shell in order to match with you.

Whenever he is upset, you hug him and hide him completely under your wings so he doesn't retract into his shell. That way you can comfort him better.

You give him all your lost feathers, which he uses in his crafting projects. He even has a little feather keychain dangling off his phone case, so you're always with him.

Mikey is light enough for you to carry him while flying so you often take him for a lift. It's one of Mikeys favourite activities to do together with you.

His favourite one is cuddling, of course.

Mikey taught you how to skate after you showed interest in it. It was tricky for you at first but after quite some time you got the hang of it.

Now the both of you can perform a lot of couple-skateboard tricks that include lots of flying, acrobatics with Mikeys kusari and catching each other. 

Raph

He is always extremely worried about hurting your wings or pulling feathers while being the big spoon.

You sometimes fly to be able to reach his face to kiss him.

When you hurt one of your wings, he takes extremely good care of you. Once you're healed up and try flying again, he always runs along directly beneath you, ready to catch you if you fall.

Raph keeps forgetting how strong your wings are. During your sparring matches you sometimes smack Raph with your wings and he's amazed by the force every time.

After training you carefully patch each other up, apologize a thousand times for any wounds or injuries and then snuggle up together. It doesn't take long for you to fall asleep after sparring.

You love hugging Raph with your wings because you can reach all the way around him. That leaves your hands free for rubbing his cheeks or hugging him around the neck.

The extra hug power is especially helpful to Raph when he's stressed or upset.

In order of nothing with added details no one asked for because I can't do anything without rambling on forever and I could talk about all these shows for literal hours (ask me to please, I'd love to):

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: My chaotic comfort show. Been watching for years and years and its always good for some stupid laughs at crazy insane horrible people doing the most whack ass shit imaginable. And like so many episodes so like endless watchability.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency: Watched for the first time in Aug 2020 and while it isn't currently as severe a hyperfixation and obsession as it was when I first watched it, its leveled out to a more stable and steady love and appreciation and like come on, the fandom is great. Ya'll are the best.

In the Flesh: This show is beautiful and heartbreaking and has a permanent place in my heart. I end up rewatching it basically every year just because I just have to. It always makes me cry.

Dead Like Me/Pushing Daisies/Hannibal: I'm just going to combine all three of these Bryan Fuller masterpieces that were all cancelled too soon to be fair. All of them are special in their own way and I adore the unique comedy, the snappy and intelligent dialogue, the irreverent and unique takes on death, and the eccentric and wild characters. (I never finished Wonderfalls, the other main Bryan Fuller show, so its not on the list sorry lol).

The Good Place: Such a good show. I went into it the first watched through (back when it was just the first season out) and had no idea what to expect and it just... I mean if you've seen it you know what the first season puts you through... and what looks like a silly dumb show about dumb bad people in the afterlife becomes this wonderful show about humans learning and growing and changing even after their lives are over. It's about our duty to be kind and understanding to other people, about finding ways to live with the gray parts of morality. A comedy show that talks about ethics and moral philosophy throughout the whole show without it feeling like a big boring slog. And ends in such a beautiful way that makes my heart ache and makes me cry just remembering it.

Community: This show is great. It's hilarious. I love the characters. I love the like theme episodes and dumb comedy and the catch phrases and wacky nonsense. It's just fun and great.

Schitt's Creek: This is a show that's just fun to stick on in the background now that I've rewatched like multiple times and know the whole story. I love seeing the characters grow and learn and get closer to each other. The way that they love each other as a family and end up spreading that love to the town, how they find their places and its just a beautiful, silly, and heartwarming show. (Will never be over the loss of Ted and Alexis. They were so special together.)

Tied for the final place: Parks and Recreation, Merlin, Doctor Who: These are shows that had a major impact on me, but I haven't actually rewatched in a few years. I used to do so many watches of Parks and Rec and I still have a love for the show and Benslie is a true OTP. Merlin is great and I'll rewatch episodes here and there but it can be a bit of a slog getting through entire seasons especially knowing how it all ends (😭). And Doctor Who, I'll say probably was the show that made me end up here (on tumblr). I watched in 2012, freshman year of college not really knowing anything about fandoms or like forum places like this, ended up on Instagram to check out more Doctor Who pics and memes and saw a ton of screenshots of tumblr and then finally gave in to make my own account in 2013. And now it's 10 years later and I'm a disaster. So thanks a lot Doctor Who...

mainly the fact that none of them could be open or vulnerable with each other …. to be honest i havent looked at sashisu very closely before but this hit me bc. I FEEL LIKE I RELATE SM :; like. i have a best friend who i’ve known since i was a baby but we’ve never ever had a serious conversation once… maybe this is unrelated but that is so tragic because to me friendships really struggle to be strong and stable against one another if you can’t ever show the side of you that’s struggling … being vulnerable w one another is key to bonding :’3

i have some thoughts about them— mainly shoko…. to me it kinda seems like she kept them at an arms length away this entire time on purpose and she still does…. maybe i’m spitballing idk i’m just basing it off the fact that satoru and suguru called her shoko but she still referred to them by surname even ‘til where we currently r in the manga (which. i will also ignore but i cant lie the memes were so funny…) but my thinking is that she did so because. even though we never really saw her much i think that’s it since she was a reversed ct user n probably didn’t have much experience fighting… maybe. hear me out just MAYBE she knew what might become of satoru and suguru since they were so enveloped in fighting and being the strongest, and both of them were so headstrong and arrogant for lack of a better term that she might’ve just… tried to keep herself from getting attached n being hurt even more than she already might’ve been simultaneously 😞😞

that still just makes me so so sad though….. they always looked so happy when they were together… maybe if they could’ve gotten suguru to talk and really listened to him for once…. alas ;; gege is an evil thing

i feel exactly the same, i have two childhood friends who im very close to but none of us have ever been the type to really be vulnerable like that w each other and !! i absolutely think that strong connections need that, u need to be able to show even ur weaker side… n i guess the tragedy of suguru’s character is that he never felt comfortable showing his ”weak self” to shoko and satoru. T_T he will always make me cry like no other ….

BUT YES SHOKO !!! ur so valid riko. i love this woman so much n i think shes so interesting to talk abt !! ive been thinking abt the name thing too, i feel like its very telling of the sashisu dynamic; the fact that satoru and suguru ONLY (and i mean only) ever referred to each other w their given names, even after suguru’s defection… and how shoko refers to them as ”gojo” and ”geto” even though gojo still calls her shoko…,

i think its super interesting !! i rly rly wish i was able to read the og japanese manga, bc i feel like so many little language details like that get lost in translation (esp since the official jjk translation is kinda bad lol)… i wish we knew if shoko called them by their given names in high school, i want to think so but we just dont know </3

This is a very eclectic bunch but I feel like this really represents me! Alright let's get into it!

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park- fucking HYBRID THEORY. Listen. I always loved music (wow autistic person who loves music shocker) but this album... I don't know what it was about this album that opened my eyes. I listen to it to this day and I get goosebumps. There's just something about the melodies, the lyrics, Chester and Mike's voices and Joe's sampling and scratching that well... Gave me a "Cure for the Itch" (I embarrassingly realized this year that it was literally scratching which is what DJ's do... God) in my brain. I remember when I was 11 or 12 sitting in my grandma's room with her CD player, door closed, and listening to this on repeat. FOR MONTHS. Well this and Meteora and Minutes to Midnight but Hybrid Theory will always be that bitch. Even though In the End has become more of a meme this album has no skips. If I had to choose currently A Place for My Head is my favorite but the whole album is a nu metal masterpiece. Rip Chester <3

Hats Off to the Bull by Chevelle- alright so Chevelle was the first band I started listening to after Linkin Park and that's saying something. I was so hyperfixated on Linkin Park I honestly didn't want to listen to ANYTHING else until one day my dad was like "hey my boss showed me this song at work" and the rest was history. Well I had known about Chevelle for forever my mom had their second album (their most popular) that had classics I've known since childhood (Send the Pain Below and The Red) but this sound had been different. Which is why I chose it because while Wonder What's Next is a great album Hats Off to the Bull is what sticks with me. I don't know, it's something about the sound the guitars and Pete's voice GOD- something about his voice makes my ears happy in an amazing way. Eargasmic and I know that's probably cringey but there's no other way to describe it. An album that I will listen to and remember a much simpler time. Faves would be The Meddler and Prima Donna. Fun fact: all my Instagram usernames have something to do with Chevelle even currently.

Vena Sera by Chevelle- so confession... For a long time Chevelle was my favorite band and I wouldn't say it's not anymore. My tastes have just expanded. But this album ugh I love. I mean why else would it be here? I don't know what it is but this album is more haunting and I love it. 4th album and first with Dean and more experimental. Once again Pete's voice is everything to me. Favorite gotta be Saferwaters with a special shout out to Humanoid cause I loved that Pete sang "fucking" in a song lol

The Dream Chapter: Magic by Tomorrow x Together- oh wow. Twas my first comeback with this group and it was EVERYTHING. I listened to it constantly when I was working in the computer lab for my programming class so it really brings me back to that. It was the soundtrack to my first year of college and it means so much to me and the lyrics always give me comfort. Favorite has to be 20cm because I grew up on r&b and that is the whole vibe of the song. The lyrics are very cutesy but the sound is amazing. It's the song I have as my bfs ringtone <3 (tubatu please bring her back I miss her 😭😭😭)

The Name Chapter: Freefall by Tomorrow x Together- the album that came out last October and caught me by the THROAT I swear. I will say I listen to every one of their albums front to back (lol) but this album was just something else. From the opening with Growing Pain to the beautiful Dreamer and just the sound of Skipping Stones this album was everything for me. The whiplash you get while listening is a treat and I feel like it's their most rock-y album and it's so fucking good. My only complaint is Beomgyu's lack of lines, especially in Happily Ever After, but what are we to do. (bighit/HYBE count your fucking days. You did better this comeback but I still need MORE.) My fave has got to be Growing Pain because it gives me such early 2000s rock vibes and that's like my whole thing.

Weedkiller by Ashnikko- their debut album and just so good. Very gay and just the sound I love her sound so much. Not much else to say besides listen plz. Faves have got to be Miss Nectarine and Don't Look at It.

Demidevil by Ashnikko- another one where I can't really explain why I love it I just do. Just a fun sound with silly and fun lyrics and sexuality. That's what Ash does best lol. L8r Boi is what sticks with me cause anytime I hear the original o think about this one. But Slumber Party is also good.

Slipknot self-titled- did I say I love nu metal? Slipknot's self titled is exactly what nu metal is from Corey's screaming and rapping to Sid's scratching and it again scratches an itch in my brain. Slipknot as a whole is another one of my favorites. Only One and Scissors are definitely my favorites in this.

One-X by Three Days Grace- another one that I listened to as a child (or at least the hits) and then fell in love with as a young teen. While I was getting into Chevelle I was also getting onto Three Days Grace (and Godsmack) so this was the first one that took over my brain. This is another one that's older and has those kinda cringey songs that I love (Animal I Have Become being one) but I still love this album as a whole. Once again reminds me of my childhood and it just means so much to me. Adam's voice is definitely interesting and beautiful and the songs and lyrics are just catchy. Alright so my favorite has got to be the opening It's All Over because the way the music travels from one ear to the other makes my brain go brrr and just the way Adam sings ugh.

Favorite Albums: choose 9 and then tag 9 people!

For my own sanity, I didn't include musicals because I could fill up a whole other 3x3 grid with them, and comparing musicals to non-musical theater albums is weird.

Those last 4 that you definitely don't recognize are by Old Earth who you should definitely listen to if you want artsy ambient indie folk with really intricate guitar. My absolute favorite artist by far, and also the most obscure artist I listen to by far.

Electric by The Pet Shop Boys — I think this is my favorite album period. I am still pissed off that Tom Scott called it "not that great" in the old Technical Difficulties podcast. Maybe I'm biased because it was my favorite album when I was 14 and because it's where I really fell in love with the Pet Shop Boys. God I love them. So much. I'm way too excited for the new album and I worship geowayne's website where he analyzes all their songs. I probably should have put another PSB album on here, but there isn't another where I'm in love with every track. Plus honestly so many of my favorite tracks of theirs are B sides. They still release B sides with their singles, and this album cycle, the B sides are honestly better than the actual singles. Anyway electric is pure synthy electropop and I adore it in that way you can only love something you first heard at 14.

Pure Heroine by Lorde — I read a quote somewhere where Lorde said she tried to really put all of being a teenager into the album, so much so that once she became an adult, she probably wouldn't understand or like it anymore. I can definitely say that I'm not nearly as attached to it anymore now that I'm an adult, but God, it was my life when I was 13. She really did capture the unique ennui of being a teenager. I wrote a novel in eighth grade, and I wrote at least half of it to tracks from this album. Also, hot take: Royals is my least favorite track by a lot. Buzzcut Season is my favorite.

My Head is an Animal by Of Monsters and Men — God, this one was my life when I was like, 12. I fell in love with folk there, and I'm still in love nearly a decade later. Another album where I still love every track.

Strange Trails by Lord Huron — hey look, an album I actually discovered and came to love as an adult! The fact that I love Lord Huron's brand of folky horror/fantasy/western music that tell stories with characters should not surprise anyone. Also, if I had to describe my experience with schizophrenia in one song, I'd choose Meet Me in the Woods.

The Tragic Treasury by The Gothic Archies — Look. Hear me out. Is it a album based purely on A Series of Unfortunate Events? Yes. But. Is it also an album where I genuinely love every track and have genuinely been known to just throw it on shuffle? Yes. I mean I think of one lyric from this album, like, weekly. I swear it's not just ASOUE brainrot that makes me like it so much. If it'd ever gotten a vinyl release, I'd absolutely own it. I wish it had gotten one.

a low place at The Old Place by Old Earth — honestly this is probably only my favorite Old Earth album because it's the one that I was able to actually get on vinyl and being able to play that vinyl is so lovely. I mean, it's good, but so is everything by Old Earth. Then again, Less Words is my favorite single track by them and it is on this album. Look. All the Old Earth albums I've listed here are, at most, 20 minutes long. If you like ambient artsy indie folk with lyrics that are there more for the way they sound than their meaning, try one.

light shaped by Old Earth — god the lyrics to this one. Normally I don't like Old Earth for the lyrics but. "It gets old/then it's done" and "what if it's just some song that gets you home" and especially "I'm holding your arms/and you're holding my eyes/and I lie like the right thing to do" are all just so great. And so is the middle track with no lyrics.

... until they're called by Old Earth — have you ever heard an album so good that you a) just played the whole thing and danced to it in your basement nonstop for the full 12 minutes, and then b) wrote a poem about the experience? People talk about finding God, but dancing to that album was the moment I found athiesm. The beauty of us all being here for no reason, just feeling things and living and doing our best to make something beautiful out of it.

Two Torches, at a Place Where Three Roads Meet by Old Earth — I'll be honest, I don't have much to say about this one. They're just a really solid three tracks.

Girlboss Witch of the Waste- More of a meme than an au at this point, but it really caught on. Self explanatory, it's the WOTW but she's a girlboss. Probably sells essential oils or smth

Cooking Show AU- This sprung from me watching too much Food Network. I still have no idea how it would work. Ingary has TVs now ig. But yeah, HMC characters in a cooking show. I think we sorta decided Michael would be the host, but otherwise it's chaos.

New Jersey AU- Based on @thatfoolsophie and her Wild West AU, tho this, like everything i create, is just chaos bc it's New Jersey, which is chaotic. Not much developed here, but it still makes me smile.

Teen Beach Movie AU- Sadly this is sorta my most fleshed out au. I've already made a post detailing what i have so far, but I'm definitely gonna update it soon <33

Six of Crows AU- co-created with @metaphysical-cheese this one is again, not super developed but bc it's my comfort book with my current hyperfixation, it makes me happy. Kaz is Howl, Inej is Sophie, Jesper is Calcifer, etc etc.

Charmain Michael Swap AU- @thatfoolsophie had the original idea, i just fell in love with it. I really wanna work on it more, maybe over this weekend!!

Julie and the Phantoms AU- This was honestly my most fleshed out AU but I've decided to scrap it because the JATP cast and fandom continues to disappoint me and i am no longer comfortable with it anymore
