finally coming back to tumblr after over a year. I don’t remember exactly why I stopped blogging here but in this past year a lot, like A LOT has happened to me and between depression and college I just haven’t had too much time for anything. 

anyways, now I want to try and come back, even if slowly, to tumblr and to writting some decent fics.

also, jaehaerys was never supposed to be king which means he never heard the prophecy and could not have told it to viserys. so even if aegon did have that dream it was lost when meagor, who wouldn’t have known the prophecy existed, stole the throne.

i, for the life of me, cannot believe that house of the dragon legitimately tried to portray aegon’s conquest as noble. it was anything but noble. it was founded by greed and a lust for power. aegon’s ancestors were slavers—using so many slaves for mining and breeding, the numbers are literally incomprehensible. they used their dragons as weapons of mass destruction, just as aegon and his sister-wives did. what is noble about forcing already existing kingdoms into submission or else they face dragonfire and destruction?

not to mention, the whole “the prophecy has been passed from ruler to ruler” or WHATEVER they went with makes no sense. what if the prince that was promised didn’t come from the ruler’s or heir’s direct line? the mere idea of rhaenyra or daemon or anyone during the dance of the dragons takes away from the theme of it all. house targaryen would always be its own demise. the dance was pointless, no one won, house targaryen was never the same, dragons perished, everyone paid for it, and westeros was burnt. it was a tragedy, a travesty, and the dance was a fight between a singular family that burned everyone else.

Wanted to add on to the "Gabby avoiding sleep at all costs" thing with doodles I had made earlier today oop

TWs - SH (technically), blood, panic attack

... Gabby has reoccurring nightmares after the events of Chapter 3. He can't get out of his head the face he saw in that one tape while he was hallucinating... And it doesn't help that his mind keeps twisting it into something worse and worse every time.

He wakes up in a cold sweat. Trembling. Breathing heavily. His heart thumping hard in his chest. And he wants to scream and sob. But he can't. He doesn't want to wake up the kids.

He's found... Ways to cope. Even if they aren't the safest. It hurts for a while, but at least the toys get the rest that they need.

So uh ... Yeah. When he does get some rest, it's... Usually short-lived. He really tries his hardest to hide it from the kids, not wanting to put another burden on their shoulders, but uh...

Yeah. Catnap ain't having any of that bullshit.

Edit : I'm realizing how ironic it is that Catnap is the one that knows about Gabby's nightmares and wants to make sure he gets rest when he was literally the being behind said nightmares in the first place 💀
