rewatching the movie made me realize how insane this scene makes me. twilight thought pinkie was still mad at her and instantly started apologizing when she saw her. and pinkie didn't even need twilights words, she just jumped straight into her arms for a big, comforting hug. twi was shocked but immediately reciprocated the hug because she was so glad her best friend was back by her side.

The 1986 So-Soft ponies are a huge set (compared to most ponies that had sets of 6 around this time), but it was split into two waves.

My guess is the left-hand ponies were sold in Quarter 1 and 2 (January to June) and the right-hand set were Quarters 3 and 4. The MLP movie came out on June 6, 1986, and after that was over they wouldn't need the movie advertisement that is covering Heart Throb.

Interesting that all the rereleased ponies like Gusty and Posey are in the first set. Also, none of the "add-on" ponies appeared in the MLP 'n Friends cartoon. (But some of their babies did: Baby Fifi and Baby Bouncy.)

Ok so, I was watching the MLP movie (2017) with my little cousin, and I swear to God there's a reference to Starscream's crown from Transformers The Movie (1986) in it

Like after the bad guys attack and the heroes flee, there's a brief bit where the villain pony Tempest smashes the left behind crown of Twilight and it's just too specific for me to think this is anything but a reference to Galvatron smashing Starscream's crown under his foot
