#MLBS4SPOILERS
everyone talks about Wishmaker because of the Identity reveal and all. and I get it.
However, I feel sad because no one discusses the actual Chat Noir reveal...
Tumblr media
When Adrien is touched by Wishmaker, he litteraly says something along the lines of "When I was little, I wanted to be whatever would make my parents happy."
I feel like this is a key element to his personality that gives it a serious turn we hadn't explicitly explored before.
I know Luka was shaken by the reveal, but I wish he would find some way to adress it to Adrien..

We need to just admit that villain's laugh need some work.
Seriously for a sec i thought that Gabriel was more a crazy scientist than a villain.

We got the idea of breaking out of the akuma all wrong! Penalteam spoilers
Its interesting because for the longest time people debated on how whether or not a person  breaking free from hawkmoths control meant the character was good, but thanks to Chloe and Felix, we now understand a person does not have to be good to break free from hawkmoth, a person can also be bad, they just need to have the will to break free from him based on their own personal judgment counteracting with his influence, but as we have now seen, that judgment can be for good or bad reasons.
Tumblr media
Hawkmoth told Felix he could get him out of trouble by offering him power, but Felix rejected his power as he said he could get out of trouble through his own abilities, which lets face it, he really can, he nearly ruined Adrien’s friendships,   he already faced several akumatized people attacking him head on without powers and even stole Gabriel’s ring all without ever facing some sort of major consequence against him near the end.
Tumblr media
In “Gang of Secrets”, Hawkmoth offered Alya power to force her friend to tell her the secrets she refused to share, but Alya realized its ok to keep a secret because you just cant tell everyone everything, you don't mean to hurt anyone by doing so and that trust you have with those closest to you is still there. When Alya was reminded about her own secret as Rena Rouge, she realized even she has secrets which are never meant to hurt anyone she trusts. When ladybug talked to her about this secret matter, Alya was then able to focus on how her heroic will was stronger than hawkmoths, and came to the realization that she was not the villain Lady Wifi like hawkmoth said, she was still the hero Rena Rouge with or without powers.
Tumblr media
In “Rocketear”, when Nino realized Alya was not really in love with cat noir, he realized Adrien was right all along and that Hawkmoth swayed him to believe otherwise. Hawkmoth offered him the power to obtain revenge, but Nino realized there was no need to take revenge for a situation cat noir never caused, and by doing so, Nino figured out, along with Alya,  that he should not listen to Hawkmoth as he will take advantage of his feelings and tell them almost anything to accept a power he doesn’t actually need. Nino accepted the charm ladybug gave him, but he states he wont need to use it, why? because unlike the other akumatized victims, Nino figured out how to prevent hawkmoth from manipulating him and taking advantage of him.
Tumblr media
Hawkmoths told Chloe in "Miraculer" that Ladybug would not give her the bee miraculous and would not let her be queen bee again, but said he could give her the power to take the bee miraculous herself. Chloe resisted hawkmoth before being akumatized because ladybug herself hadn't yet told her she could never be queen bee again, so she had no reason to take hawkmoths power. Chloe believed ladybug would still give her the power she wanted and felt entitled to in order to continue being the hero Queen bee, ladybug would just come when she needed her, but chloe herself believed she had a right to ask for the miraculous whenever she wanted.Once she realized she really would never have the power she wanted, chloe no longer had any other motivations to be good, let alone side with ladybug, so she began to accept hawkmoths power instead.
In “Penalteam”, hawkmoth offered Chloe the power to make the others hate the sport forever by making her invincible with all the guarantees of winning , including cheating. However, since ladybug made everyone pretend they would also be invincible with all the guarantees to win and without risk of de-transforming. They made Penalteam think they would have fun forever, which is not what she wanted, so she broke out of the akuma herself as she realized hawkmoth could not live up to her demands in that moment.
Tumblr media
In the end, its just as ladybug said in “Mr. Pigeon 72″, hawkmoth kept targeting the same people because he gets to know them and figures out how to manipulate them better. However, what hawkmoth didn’t realize was that because he kept targeting the same people and because he has displayed his power so much to the point Alya now had videos to inform others on the Ladyblog about who he is and what he can do, it was only a matter of time before his victims also learned how to get to know his power better and figure out how to resist him. And it was only a matter of time before Ladybug would catch onto how she and the other heroes could help the people he repeatedly targets by helping them figure out some way to counteract his manipulative words and help his victims break free from the akuma

Miraculous Ladybug, the “Quilin”  racism issue from someone who has been in multiple fandoms and has seen just how messed up the world is.
Not long after the episode “Quilin” aired , there was a big uproar about how racist it was, and while it is perfectly understanding why people feel this episode is triggering and offensive, many people fail to realize this situation occurs every time a kids show tackles racism. There are so many opinions on how racism should be presented on screen and so many ideas of what is considered appropriate that the end result will always be the same no matter what a kids show decides to do. Once it does air, half the population will feel it is offensive and not well played out, let alone suitable for kids, while the other half of the population consider it well presented and to the point about how unfair and unjust these situations really are and are glad the writers managed to find a way to present sensitive topics despite all the restrictions shows are put under today about presenting such things.
Unfortunately, as you grow older, you realize the topic of racism in the world is a lot more complicated than you believed, and as you look around, you start to realize certain places around the world have now decided to stop talking about racism in schools all together before they are exposed to prejudice, which is a bad thing. Other parts of the world ignore it and families decide not to tell their children about it simply because it is an uncomfortable subject to them, so they decide not to tell their kids anything. As for how these kids get exposed to the subjects of racism? well, that’s a whole other issue, and one which can come in many ways or forms. However, for many kids, their first introduction to the  subjects of racism comes from watching cartoons, however, what they decide to do with that information can go any number of ways as their upbringing begins to change their views.
Many people who took delight in watching certain tv shows as kids, now realize their culture was not very well represented. But what most everyone realizes over time is that they simply can’t expect good representation to occur in one episode within the span of less than 30 minutes, much less in a show which is broadcasted in many parts of the world which would find offense to certain details of another culture. Yet despite this, many realize the end message of a kids shows racism centered episode is still there and still strong to leave an impact in many lives about what not to do and what’s right to do and say.
Nowadays, the rules against what is appropriate to show on screen is much stricter. Topics you wish could be addressed, simply can’t due to one lame reason or another by several countries businesses and censorships. Shows you know were great at tackling serious issues are banned in multiple countries because they believe it encourages ill intent against certain things or is simply not suitable enough to them to be presented to the demographic of their country..
Whenever a kids show is broadcasted to the public and present even the slightest bit of the topic of racism, or dedicates an entire episode to this subject, it usually narrows down to two views during the argument period after the episode airs,  “ you don’t teach racism by presenting situations which the community can find triggering and offensive” vs “ You don’t teach prejudice by just discussing its existence”, it is near impossible to find some sort of middle ground in a show without it offending someone. In the end, you realize you just can’t please everyone and decide to just try to understand things as best you can in this crazy messed up world.
Near the end of “Quilin”, people were upset the cop wasn’t held accountable, and  as much as we would have liked to see the cop held accountable, people forget many countries also have an enormous amount of rules for what they consider to be suitable to present on screen, as such, many countries forbid the police to be shown held accountable in kids shows, the best many shows can do is have them educated. And as much as we would have liked to see Roger and the Ticket Man apologize to Sabine, it is the older audience who missed the end message of the episode being that there are people who will not normally apologies for what they did and the things they said, they remain unchanged regardless of how wrong you prove they were about you and others.
In terms of complaints we have about episodes, its things like that which need to be sent to Zag studios through their public messaging service, not to the creators personal Twitter pages. Fandoms have a habit believing creators are in full control of the show, but in reality the things you believe they should have control over, are in fact far beyond their control as it is the studio they work for who owns the rights to the show.
In short, life is complicated, things are complicated and they will never stop being complicated. The world is crazy and no matter what you find that makes you feel happy about your culture in certain shows, there will still be people from your own culture who feel the opposite along with other parts of the world, people are that complicated and there is no piece of content in this world that can be loved and appreciated by everyone equally throughout the entire world. Censorships and ratings don’t make a lick of sense unless you take the time to research and analyze, but if you find something that makes you happy then enjoy it, but don’t let other peoples misinformation and misinterpretations about a show or topic cloud your better judgment. And in terms of Miraculous Ladybug, never forget that just as every other kids show, it is just a kids show, it is not perfect, but its still good and well written, which is why it is so successful, but most of all, never forget that just like any other show, it can not please everyone and we as the older audience are the least entitled to what we want to see in a kids show, why? because the studios and broadcasters couldn’t care less about us once we grow out of the age demographic they target, we’re just the older people who chose to tag along and keep watching. But once you do get out of that age group, it becomes our job as the older audience to maintain an active community to show our support and appreciation for the show, but how you do that can be either beneficial or harmful.
And just because I know someone will misinterpret this, no, this does not support racism, good gosh no, it merely highlights just how complex it is and how it still is unable to be met under equal grounds as millions of people still maintain different opinions on the matter, by both people of the same culture and various other cultures.
I have various friends from the Asian community who have talked to me about how they knew if the show presented an episode on the topic of racism towards Asians, then it would not be well received considering the events of covid as well as the lack of representation the series is already known to carry as its focus is mainly on the French heroes and not Asian culture.

Ok everyone calm down! warning, Penalteam spoilers
I’ve been seeing people complain about how Ivan, Marc, Sabrina and Nathaniel might not get transformation sequences in this season or their own episode, but guys, remember the show is not over and neither is the story, so of course we will see transformations, we just need to wait for what happens next and wait for whatever happens in season 5 before deciding if there will or won't be an episode for each of them.
Tumblr media
Based on the trailer, Ladybug obviously needed enough members to fight against penalteam, so she decided to give Marc, Nathaniel, Ivan and Sabrina a chance to help since she knew fully well penalteam would wipe everyone out by making them disappear the moment they touched either the penalteam members or the red cards, ladybug had no other choice but to get more team members as quickly as possible.

Simplificator
I'm currently watching season 4 again and I just noticed something in Simplificator:
Tumblr media
Nice pose Adrien. It reminds me of something though... 😏
Tumblr media
I always had a feeling that this statue was important in the series.
As we know, the city of Paris we see in Miraculous isn't quite similar as the city of Paris we know irl, even though the layout is pretty much the same. Like the "Place du Châtelet" for instance:
Tumblr media
The "Fontaine du Palmier" and the "Théâtre du Châtelet" are still here, but the Agreste Mansion doesn't exist (The actual building located behind the fountain is an city building hosting "la Chambre des Notaires de Paris").
Tumblr media
The statue at the top of "la Fontaine du Palmier" is pretty similar to the one in Miraculous, but the Victory isn't holding rings like the statue in Miraculous but laurel wreaths.
Tumblr media
(I did a whole thread on Twitter about locations in Miraculous and their history, here's the part for "Place du Châtelet").
Why keep the fountain and statue but replace the laurel wreaths by twin rings? Maybe because the statue literally embodies Adrien holding the meaning of his existence.
👼 + ✨ + 💍

(I know that's nothing new but the pose just hit me).
