it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion! me and callie were joking abt it on twt so here are my lotf modern au halloween costume hcs

ralph- when he was younger he would go as pirates, vikings, or a superhero but when he’s older he just puts on his dads uniform to look cool at a party

jack- prince or angel as a kid (it’s only fitting!) and as an adult priest or niche serial killer from a movie nobody knows

simon- if ralph or the choir wants to group costume he’ll go along with it but by himself he just goes as a bear or zebra (OR LIZARD!!! 90S MOVIE REFF!!)

piggy- amelia earhart every year without fail- it’s not like he wears a long wig so he could just play it off as regular pilot but he makes it KNOWN he’s amelia earhart and then starts yapping about his theories

roger- does not want to put more than 50% effort but he still wants to scare little kids so he goes as micheal myers-for half the night he stands in front of his house pretending to be a statue and then jumps at people

maurice- clown, zombie or like used qtip idk

samneric- salt n pepper, mustard n ketchup, the usual duo costumes when they get older they seperate but it usually has some correlation if you dig deep enough

Oh. My. God. I finally got it:

Imagine that the handsome gentleman in whom he already became interested lately -

- keeps on coming out of the house few times during single evening

- to walk past him in the dark garden full of wonderful scents of flowers and fruits

- being in distinctively dreamy mood and talking unusually friendly to him

(thanks to aversion Maurice felt to the "damn ugly" Mr Borenius who's "sneering at youth" - he suddenly decided that Scudder "was a fine fellow" and is now "feeling friendly to the reprobate")

And if that was not enough:

- bumping into him with his full body TWICE!!!🤯

Poor Alec, he must have been so on edge that night...😭

No wonder that one word was just enough for him to literally climb the walls!😂🤣
