"you can homebrew anything into 5e, its really genre-neutral" <- guy who assumes the health system used in d&d is the "default" and hasnt thought about the fact that healing up to full in 8 hours is a) buck fucking wild, and b) absolutely crucial to the power fantasy and foolhardy adventuring atmosphere that d&d is centered on. d&d wants you to rush into challenges, give it everything, barely survive, and then do it again the next day. fights in d&d default to not having long-lasting consequences (unless the dm gives them higher stakes on purpose as a conscious decision). thats fun for an adventuring game. do not do this in survival games

this is just one of the many, many mechanics in this game that give a certain vibe that tons of people love. changing this one thing wont change the genre entirely, but you have to change it if youre really that dedicated to reinventing the wheel in d&d. i am not nitpicking. this is huge. if you dont see why its such a big deal, i dont trust that you understand game design well enough to make a genre-hopping d&d homebrew

I think the main reason why ALL m/f ships I like fall under the "they don't like each other at first but are forced to work together" is because the two first ever ships I loved were inuyasha/kagome (inuyasha) and sakura/syaoran (card captor sakura) lmao

For m/m ships I either love the friends to lovers trope or rivals to friends to lovers lol

While for f/f ships I am...such a sucker for doomed yuri I love doomed yuri so much but also immortal × mortal ship oh an friends to lovers too and OH enemies to lovers and and and actually I love all tropes for f/f lmao

How do you feel about the game Solarion Chronicles? :) Would you ever play it?

Oh, that new tabletop game? It's only been around for about fifty years, but I think it'll do very well as it gets older and more polished. I've never been much for collaborative gaming.

Welwick and I did used to play Kriegsspiel, however... It was a good way to practice cheating and maneuvering around each other's cheating, since we didn't often have a third player to keep us in check, haha. A practiced poker face does a mage a lot of good. Perhaps the next time she's in town I'll sit her down with a campaign.

What do I want

Short-term: have fun, feel in community with people who are similar to me, flirt with pretty girls and enbys, cuddle, receive loving and caring physical touch from people who are romantically and sexually interested in me, continue making this city a real home to me, have more sex, get my kinks scratched

Long-term: a nesting partner (platonic or romantic honestly at this point) someone that can help me make a home cause caring for a place all by myself is so so taxing on my neurodivergence, have a constellation of partners, get my needs met in a variety of new and different ways, to not be sleeping alone all the time, be getting my needs met so much that I'm able to discover new things about myself, have someone I can trust enough to collar me again, to trust myself and my feelings
