X-Men and the Agents of Atlas

Being a temporally strange team, you'd expect the Agents of Atlas to have dealt with most superhero teams. You'd be spot on, and here's their dealings with the men of X.

During an operation in Cuba in the 50s, Atlas ran into Marvel's Forrest Gump - Wolverine. Their goals aligned and they worked together for a time, but Logan refused a debriefing and detonated the bomb he strapped to M-11, my favourite sentient automaton.

In the 60s, the X-Men enlisted the help of Ken Hale - Gorilla Man - to find Chuck after he got himself lost in a cursed temple.

Much later, during Norman Osborne's Dark Reign, Atlas were attacked by The Avengers. They had just made peace when...

M-11 recognised Logan's voice as 'that asshole that blew me up in the 50s.' He blew his arm off.

About a month later, their teammate Venus had been kidnapped by the real Venus/Aphrodite and they were having difficulty finding her. They decided to borrow Cerebro without asking..

... and got a face full of X-Men.

They fought a fighting retreat with Cerebro and escaped to their city beneath San Francisco, but got X-Men'd again.

Though they weren't ready for Mr Lao, Jimmy's consigliere.

In a historic first, Namor de-escalated a conflict. Only because his cousin Namora is an Agent of Atlas... and Atlas is allies with Atlantis.

And thus it was that after half a century of superhero flirting they became allies. The robot got the last laugh though. They found Venus, too!
