Introducing PMD: Expanded Sky!

This is a public mod available to download now! It adds in all starters from unova all the way to paldea, as well as zorua, axew and rockruff, and allows evolving eevee into sylveon.

Speaking of which, fairy type has been patched into the game! Disarming voice replaces milk drink and moonblast replaces judgement, which was unused.

Some non-traditional starters are no longer available as hero options in this due to lack of space, but are still available as partners. (Skitty can be chosen as a hero in version 1.0.0 only, so download that version instead of the latest if you wanna use her! Riolu and Shinx are available in version 1.2.1 and below)

If one of your faves was taken off the hero roster (eg vulpix, skitty, riolu, munchlax, etc), I have a tutorial here on how to quickly edit the patched file to put them back in :)

Several regional variants have been added! Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak and Hisuian Typhlosion are now available as potential evolutions for their respective base stages.

Partners across both rescue team and all three versions of explorers are available too, including Cubone, Munchlax, Machop, Vulpix, Riolu, etc

Sprites and portraits are courtesy of the brilliant PMD Sprite Repository and the many incredible artists who contribute to it!

Credits for all improvement patches, sprites and portraits are included in the download, as well as an explanation on how to patch the game and the full starter list.

The mod is split in two versions to accommodate all the partners - MIDDAY version and MIDNIGHT version. The download includes both, as well as the tool required to patch your game! You'll need a clean US copy of pmd eos at hand.

Sobble is now a starter, replacing Skitty (Skitty is still accessible by downloading v1.0.0 on the download page). Sobble is also now a partner in MIDNIGHT.

Zorua/Zoroark's moveset has been tweaked slightly

Base forms of all new starters can now be found in Oran Forest, and can be recruitable in the post-game. The new fire starters can also be found in Giant Volcano.

Extra portraits and sprites were added for Cubone, Psyduck and Machop. Like the rest of the new assets in this mod, these were imported from the PMD Sprite Repository, and credits are on the title screen and in the readme.txt.

Female starters from gens 5-9 can now evolve correctly (save for starters who don't have evolutions in the game yet - these are listed in the text file in the download)

Rockruff can now evolve, and Midnight Lycanroc's evolution method has been fixed to use the Lunar Ribbon as intended.

(15/06/23) - Version 1.2.1 has been released!

In 1.2.0, a second version of the mod was included in the zip compatible with melon emulator, and potentially others that were having issues with saving.

Fairy gummis were also made available as mission rewards and shop items.

There's a couple more things that can be seen in the changelog including bugfixes, but the main other thing promised was that Froakie and Litten can now evolve directly into Greninja and Incineroar. Due to an evolution flag not being set this ended up untrue, but has been fixed in 1.2.1.

This post claimed dazzling gleam is in the game, but it should've said disarming voice.

🆕 (10/03/24) - Version 1.3.0 has been released!

Dusk Lycanroc, Drizzile, Inteleon, Grookey, Axew and Fraxure have been added, as well as Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak an Hisuian Typhlosion.

Axew replaces Shinx in the hero roster, and Grookey replaces Riolu. Additional portraits and sprites added for starter evolutions, including vanilla starters. Sleep animations have been copied over to EventSleep/Laying/Wake animations if missing.

Greninja erroneously had the same moveset as Froakie. This has now been fixed.

Credits are no longer displayed on the title screen.

Sprite, portrait and patch credits can now be viewed by talking to a Cyndaquil NPC on the crossroads.

Evolution help can also be accessed by talking to this same NPC.

🆕 (23/05/24) - Version 1.3.1 has been released!

The uhh. Grovyle problem. Yeah. That should be fixed.

(Grovyle was missing several sprites as a side effect of trying to add new ones, due to his unique setup in the vanilla game as such an important npc. His sprites should now be reverted to a functional state, rather than leaving him to walk fowards on the spot all the time).

An issue present from the start that caused the game to freeze while advancing floors in dungeons occasionally should now be resolved.

Update on the Castor isn't an astral thing

Additionally! Rez, when he first appeared, mentioned he only talked to Lunar because Gemini wasn't on earth, also mentioning he hasn't seen them in quite a while which might be indicative of something more between Rez and Gemini, something I think the show should explore.

It might be a bit of a stretch to connect but if I am correct in my assumption that Castor is a negative being than it would be an excellent way to flesh out both characters.

TOKYO -- A Japanese spacecraft touched down on the moon early Saturday, making Japan the fifth country to reach the lunar surface. But officials said they still needed to analyze the pinpoint accuracy of the landing.

Hitoshi Kuninaka, head of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, said they believe that rovers were launched and data were being transmitted back to Earth. But there could an issue with the power supply.

The Smart Lander for Investigating Moon, or SLIM, landed at about 12:20 a.m. Tokyo time on Saturday (1520 GMT Friday). Japan follows the United States, the Soviet Union, China and India in reaching the moon.

Japan’s spacecraft arrived on the surface of the moon early Saturday, but it wasn’t immediately clear if the landing was a success, because the Japanese space agency said it was still “checking its status.”

More details about the spacecraft, which is carrying no astronauts, would be given at a news conference, officials said. If the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon, or SLIM, landed successfully, Japan would become the fifth country to accomplish the feat after the United States, the Soviet Union, China and India.

SLIM came down onto the lunar surface at around 12:20 a.m. Tokyo time Saturday (1520 GMT Friday).

As the spacecraft descended, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's mission control said that everything was going as planned and later said that SLIM was on the lunar surface. But there was no mention of whether the landing was successful.

Mission control kept repeating that it was “checking its status" and that more information would be given at a news conference. It wasn't immediately clear when the news conference would start.

SLIM, nicknamed "the Moon Sniper," started its descent at midnight Saturday, and within 15 minutes it was down to about 10 kilometers (six miles) above the lunar surface, according to the space agency, which is known as JAXA.

At an altitude of five kilometers (three miles), the lander was in a vertical descent mode, then at 50 meters (165 feet) above the surface, SLIM was supposed to make a parallel movement to find a safe landing spot, JAXA said.

About a half-hour after its presumed landing, JAXA said that it was still checking the status of the lander.

SLIM, which was aiming to hit a very small target, is a lightweight spacecraft about the size of a passenger vehicle. It was using “pinpoint landing” technology that promises far greater control than any previous moon landing.

While most previous probes have used landing zones about 10 kilometers (six miles) wide, SLIM was aiming at a target of just 100 meters (330 feet).

The project was the fruit of two decades of work on precision technology by JAXA.

The mission's main goal is to test new landing technology that would allow moon missions to land “where we want to, rather than where it is easy to land,” JAXA has said. If the landing was a success, the spacecraft will seek clues about the origin of the moon, including analyzing minerals with a special camera.

The SLIM, equipped with a pad to cushion impact, was aiming to land near the Shioli crater, near a region covered in volcanic rock.

The closely watched mission came only 10 days after a moon mission by a U.S. private company failed when the spacecraft developed a fuel leak hours after the launch.

SLIM was launched on a Mitsubishi Heavy H2A rocket in September. It initially orbited Earth and entered lunar orbit on Dec. 25.

Japan hopes a success will help regain confidence for its space technology after a number of failures. A spacecraft designed by a Japanese company crashed during a lunar landing attempt in April, and a new flagship rocket failed its debut launch in March.

JAXA has a track record with difficult landings. Its Hayabusa2 spacecraft, launched in 2014, touched down twice on the 900-meter-long (3,000-foot-long) asteroid Ryugu, collecting samples that were returned to Earth.

Experts say a success of SLIM's pinpoint landing, especially on the moon, would raise Japan's profile in the global space technology race.

Takeshi Tsuchiya, aeronautics professor at the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, said it was important to confirm the accuracy of landing on a targeted area for the future of moon explorations.

“It is necessary to show the world that Japan has the appropriate technology in order to be able to properly assert Japan's position in lunar development,” he said. The moon is important from the perspective of explorations of resources, and it can also be used as a base to go to other planets, like Mars, he said.

SLIM is carrying two small autonomous probes — lunar excursion vehicles LEV-1 and LEV-2, which will be released just before landing.

LEV-1, equipped with an antenna and a camera, is tasked with recording SLIM's landing. LEV-2, is a ball-shaped rover equipped with two cameras, developed by JAXA together with Sony, toymaker Tomy and Doshisha University.

JAXA will broadcast a livestream of the landing, while space fans will gather to watch the historic moment on a big screen at the agency's Sagamihara campus southwest of Tokyo.

As we ventured deeper, we noticed a mystical light shimmering through the trees. Guided by curiosity and my companion's instincts, we followed it and discovered an ancient stone archway adorned with glowing runes resembling constellations and lunar phases.

I took a moment to sketch these intriguing runes into my spellbook for future study. Feeling a deep connection, I offered a prayer to Selune, the Moon Goddess, seeking her guidance. The archway's glow intensified, and with a mix of excitement and reverence, we stepped through.

On the other side, we found ourselves in a tranquil grove bathed in perpetual moonlight. 🌌 Seven stone pillars encircled a serene reflecting pool, each pillar engraved with symbols of the moon's phases. The atmosphere was peaceful, filled with subtle magical energy and the soft whispers of a distant melody.

Hello! For the people who don't know Dusk and Dawn is a tmnt fan Iteration I made back in November of 2023 and been obsessed with ever since lol. This stupid little au is what I think about half of the time, so I hope you guys like it.

Side note: keep in mind that I made this au/fan iteration back in 2023, meaning, some of the characters lore/backstories and plot points I have mentioned on here or on Instagram might be outdated to the current story. This au is still a Wip so stuff will change. Just bear with me lol

Backstory for the ninja turtles: Shedder and Baxter Stockman was try to make some super-humans and decided to use turtles (Venus, Leo, Donnie, Raph, and Mikey) and Splinter daughter (Karai) to experience on. Due to a chemical reaction the lab exploded. The turtles survived and got found by Splinter who gotten mutated in the process, Shedder decided to take Karai in and raise her as her own. For Venus, she was raised by Draxum

Plot Summary

(~ means a small time skip has occurred)

The lovers, Dawn and Dusk, are spirit like beings who represent the ever changing sky. They often travel their own world and others, searching for new places to explore and unique experiences to see.

One day during their wanderings, they stumble upon an abandoned Yveltal egg that had been touched by the sky itself and changed into a being similar to themselves. Deciding to take in the egg and raise it as their own, they stop travelling and head to an old friend, Maksviah, for help with raising the child.

When they arrive, they find Maksviah conversing with one of her children, her son Voxgatum, who had come to visit her and Loraifon, Maksviah's youngest child and his sibling.

A cave and nest is quickly prepared for them, and the two stay with Maksviah in her village for a time before the egg eventually hatches. The new child, named Twilight, is sweet but quiet, almost worryingly so, and seems to suffer a strange nightmare/memory that worries her parents.

Meanwhile, Voxgatum, who had left soon after Twilight's hatching, was headed home when he was suddenly attacked from the sky. He managed to flee his attacker, though not without injury.

With the help of Oceanus, the Kyogre of their world, he makes it back to Maksviah's village and informs them of what had occurred. While Vox's wound is being healed, they discuss who the attacker could possibly be, and Dusk notes that the wound is (partially) laced with destruction energy, preventing it from healing properly.

This causes a new round of discussion to ensue, speculating whether the legend is from this world or another, before everyone decides to rest and reconvene in the morning with a clearer head.

The next day, Maksivah and Voxgatum are seen speaking with a Lati, and are soon joined by Dawn, who woke up before his husband and daughter. Maksivah explains that both Oceanus and Terratlas (their world's Groudon) had spread the word to the other legends of Vox’s attack.

Meanwhile, Dusk is watching over Twilight, worrying over the nightmares she’s been suffering from. While he’d attempted to help her on his own, his powers were simply not strong enough. 

This is why, when he approaches the group later, Dusk suggests the three of them (Dawn, Dusk, and Twilight) all pay Oneiros (a Cresselia) a visit. He hopes to acquire a Lunar Wing to help Twilight sleep more soundly. Dawn agrees, and the group splits up once more.
