Happy Eris Week! When @cauldronblssd and I saw the prompts for day one, we immediately started thinking of a way to take things in the bondage direction, and what better way to explore that theme than some Azris!

Some platonic ffxv headcanons:

Luna's favourite books growing up were crime and supernatural fiction. She liked learning about regional folktales, myths and superstitions too.

Meanwhile, Ravus as a kid preferred the historical and fantasy adventure tales. Y'know of knights, heroes and chosen ones.

Ravus taught Luna how to drive during one of his rare breaks from imperial military training. (You could say it was something of a crash course)

Noctis, if given the opportunity and he had no pressing responsibilities, would 100% rearrange his sleep schedule to catch a rare fish.

Ravus definitely jumped down from the top of the stairs at Fenestala Manor as a kid, but he'd never admit to it.

Luna's more likely to play as a character of a different gender in a MMO/RPG than Noctis. She'd relish the chance to be someone else for a change while Noctis, especially when he's younger, feels more comfortable playing a character close to home.

Older Noctis would totally be down to play as a GIRL (guy in real life)

Somehow, Ravus is the one with the most money in ANY of the games they play. (Don't ask him about his methods)

Bonus:

Ignis looks the best playing pool (out of the four). He's probably been hit on while playing.

Gladio is the first to buy the latest karaoke game. (He claims it's for Iris but it's not)

Prompto owns more rare trading cards than Noct because that's one aspect of life where his luck shines. He's lucky when it comes to gacha, prize competitions, claw machines - you name it.

(Noctis has average rng/gacha luck btw)

Gladio has the highest number of bowling strikes, not that anyone is keeping count.

They all play that squid-octopus splat game together. It's PVP time baby.

No one wants to play mahjong. They watch a movie instead. (Well, Ignis would play but only with other serious players. Wait, that's Ravus. Ignis joins Biggs, Wedge and Ravus' mahjong sessions)

Lucy likes Tommy, she really does. He's a good guy, an excellent pilot. His gallows humor plays well with hers. Even better, he never objects to a risky rappel, encourages it, in fact, if it means he gets to try an obscure maneuver with a name like aft skid cobra. He holds his own at karaoke.

The problem is that Tommy is also a dramatic son of a bitch who would rather eat glass than admit he's struggling.

...unless he's had a drink or two.

Hungry Heart appears in the up next-box on screen. Lucy lunges.

She gets his arm. “Aaand you're done holding everyone hostage with Springsteen. Time to talk about feelings like a grown-up. C'mon.”

You know people complain a lot about how NaLu never sails but I don’t think that we appreciate Fairy Tail as a series where romance basically never happens.

The only ships I can think of being portrayed as explicitly romantic—even if they never actually happen they’re clearly meant to be interpreted as romantic—are Gray/Juvia, Elfman/Evergreen, Jellal/Erza, Levy/Gajeel,,,, literally wracking my head and I can’t think of anything else. Which yeah four main ships sounds like a lot but there are so many characters in Fairy Tail they introduce new people every arc and most of them come back later. All of them have fans that adore them. And these are the only real ships I can think of.

Maybe Erik/Kinana? But I don’t remember ever seeing that confirmed in the anime. I think it might’ve been said in 100yq but idk I never got very far.

Anyway my point is romance is basically never the main focus and that’s such a breath of fresh air. And the ships that are there never really feel like they’re just there to be ‘in love’ their relationship always has some weight to it

Gruvia is is I think the worst of them and even then Gray means a lot to Juvia in a real way outside of her nonsensical obsession with him, he chased the rain away and that’s significant.

It’s just like,,, idk. Media is always so romance focused and it’s so nice to have something that isn’t. I think that’s why I keep going back to it

you cant just put a character in front of me and go ‘btw when she was seventeen, everyone she knew cut her off completely so she could be bait for the most evil company in the world to hire, and then some fucking guy swooped in and took advantage of her for years’ and expect me to believe she’s the villain here. or to ever be normal about this. what the fuck!

yk what it’s a crime that we’ve yet to hear buck babbling on about bisexual/pride/lgbtq+ facts in general and also the fact that this entire season he has not ever called himself a bisexual on our screens like knowing him he was probably deep in the wikipedia searches and donating to the trevor project and finding queer local artists to support and making friends with the baristas and now getting to explore and meet new people and places in the area in a different lens now and being happy with his true himself
