Lucy Gray’s “grave” is covered in Moss. (Described as “mossy”)

At first I just took this as a sign of age, that this grave stone had been placed many years ago

BUT what if it also shows that she’s lost to the woods? That nature reclaimed her — whether that means she died or just lived her life deep in the freedom of the woods… you can decide for yourself as it’s a mystery still.
