I have a feeling that Haymitch’s book will tell us why there probably is no more living Covey people in District 12. I can’t shake this feeling. I truly believe the Covey are not related to Katniss and have nothing to do with the ‘seam’ identity in the long run. Because of this I’m a little hesitant to include any covey characters in any of my fics. What if there’s a canon reason for why they don’t exist?
