Young Lucia learns a harsh lesson about the world in Windhelm

Based off my alternate telling of the main storyline of Skyrim, where the Dragonborn is none other than the little orphan girl from Whiterun. I’ve had this story stewing in my mind for several years now and I think I might be close to actually writing it. The main premise is that Lucia is unable to adventure on her own (considering her age and lack of survival experience), so a small group forms with the goal of protecting her and saving the world. It’s entirely just because I want to write about my favorite followers and have them interact lol, and I thought that the idea of a Dragonborn that wasn’t fully capable of handling their destiny alone was neat (not to mention my love for found family tropes). I found this audio on TikTok and I found it to be rather fitting of one of the scenes in my mind.

Shamat: *visibly shaking as he holds the key to breezehome, staring up at the building in disbelief*

Lydia: *holding groceries and a few additional furnishings they’ll need* My thane? Are you alright?

Shamat: y-yes I just… I can’t believe… I have a home. *opens the door and steps inside to see it already warmly lit and decorated* I spent so long on the streets and in prison that… I never imagined I’d ever have anything like this…

Lydia: *smiles* It’s a fine home, one you earned all on your own. And one I’ll happily defend. I’ll unpack my things and make dinner.

Shamat: th-thank you. *smiles before slowly walking through the house. Exploring the enchanting nook, the alchemy set up, diving onto his bed and relaxing into the comfort, before walking by the bathroom and pausing as he spots the children’s room… so many empty beds* … *walks back upstairs* I’ll be back shortly d-do you need anything?

Lydia: no I don’t think so, there’s plenty here for the two of us for tonight.

Shamat: *nods and walks out* okay I’ll be home-… home soon… *smiles pausing on that word again before closing the door and walking to the wind district*

*a few hours later*

Shamat: We’re home.

Lydia: *just finished making dinner* welcome home my th- we? *looks down to see Lucia peer in from behind the dark elf* …Well good thing I misread the recipe then, I made too much for just two people.

You may remember Lucia as an adoptable child in Whiterun. When you speak to her she'll mention that when her mother died, her aunt and uncle took over the farm and threw her out. It took me about a year to connect the dots and realise that Vantus Loreius and Curwe, the owners of the Loreius Farm are Lucia's aunt and uncle. Vantus took over the farm after his sister (Lucia's mother) passed away and when I first met him he did seem like the kind of a**hole who'd throw out a small child thinking they'd be "no good for anything". Then again, I could be wrong and I'm just simply stating a small theory.

Now, I will be back at the game.

*Pulls out sword*

So, first time drawing an elf at all, and probably 3rd time ever drawing a child, it was pretty tough but good practice!!

I just referenced how Jenassa looks in game and took some artistic liberties for Lucia because all the children in Skyrim have the same face lol also children are so hard to draw wtf

I wanna practice drawing humans/humanoids give me some TES NPC to sketch and I’ll see what I can do

Probably gonna do about a dozen sketches or so, nothing colored unless I feel like it

You’re gonna hate me…

I haven’t actually gotten around to writing the story yet 😭 although it’s remained at the back of my head for several years now, I only started recently thinking about it again in depth and fleshing out plot points/characters. Without spoiling anything, two of the major characters in it (besides Lucia and Teldryn) are Jenassa and Uthgerd! I don’t see them mentioned as often as other followers in fanfiction, which is sad because they’re some of my favorites. And the fact that they reside in the same city as Lucia is a no-brainer that they’d be included.

On the flip side— WOW I could not have foreseen how many people would be interested in it! I genuinely feel motivated to write it knowing that somebody may actually read it.

I forgot to post something today, here's a little pencil comic I drew about my khajiit in Skyrim and his adopted daughter. I think it's really funny how enthusiastic she gets whenever Sol gives her weapons.

Lucia Whitewolf, adopted daughter of Jon and Serana Whitewolf. She is a natural with daggers, small swords, and bows. She also shows signs of being proficient in restoration magic and shock spells. She weilds the sword Grimsever that she received from her father. She was also given a dragon dagger and bow, both with powerful fire enchantments.
