Tirdas, 31th of Last Seed, 4E 201
And now there are three of us.
Right now we’re holed up in the tent (I’m so glad I expanded it) in the wreck of a ruined tower.
The weather had cleared, so we left Solitude and set up over the mountain. We were doing all right, with only a spider or wolf here and there to bother us, until the wind picked up and the snow got heavier.
We were literally starting to freeze when we spotted an old fort practically at the top of the mountain. We thought it was abandoned, but it was full of bandits! They gave us a lot of trouble – especially the ones in the fort’s prison - but we managed (somehow) to best them. I’m getting good at raising zombies, and Lydia’s begrudgingly admitted that they did have their uses. Like going first down narrow hallways and into unfamiliar rooms.
We didn’t find anything of note, mostly just armor and food, so we kept going after we’d warmed up. Unfortunately, I got us turned around trying to find a way down the other side of the mountain. On the way, we fought saber cats - Those things are HUGE! – and a Flame Atronach. They’re scary, but beautiful in their own way, and the fight wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. We also found a stray dog fighting some wolves, and now he won’t leave.
I don’t have the heart to send him away. It’s freezing up here and while he’s very good in a fight with wolves and bandits – yes, more bandits – he’d be an easy meal for a saber cat. I’ll have to take him back with us to Whiterun. Lydia grumbles about him, but he did take out a wolf as it lunged for her back, so she can’t complain too loudly.
We were soon freezing again as we wandered around up here, looking for a way down, so we made camp in this ruined tower that used to be a saber cat den, and started a fire. At least we’re warm.
Hopefully we can find a way down tomorrow. Northwatch Keep is so close! We’re almost there!

These choices are either real food or not so have fun and don't think too hard about it
Feel free to add in the tags your favorite food from video games even if it's a real food or not. Also say in the tags if a video game food that was real food made you want to try it

Guess what I've been doing last night (and by last night I mean I couldn't sleep and got up again at 1 am and was awake 'till 5am or smth.... :D told ya my sleep schedule is in shambles by now)
Yeaah..I am actually suprised it took me this long to squeeze them onto my most favorite universe of all...so..yeah.. hit the old fantasy- and witcher playlist and well...the mind was loong gone..at this point... I feel like this is not really 100% Witcher-verse, but also a bit Skyrim-ish?...something in between but def. fantasy like..
So what came from it are some messy sketches I like very much :D even if Hoshina is a little T-posing, lol, but that's OK..
I love how I'm not even putting the names in anymore.. xD you should now my fav bois by now hopefully...
since I totally stole that badass posture from Zhen Qu'S fanart, I feel like I at least should tag the reference - LOOK at it it's amazing <3
I wonder if I will continue the series this time, 'cause I'd love to give Narumi a proper armour and there's a certain forest elve I'd like to add as well, BUT I know my adhd brain, and I'm making no promises here..
(and def. no more allnighters, I need to get my schedule fixed, I'm at a Con this weekend, I need to get up at DECENT times god dammit)

The dogs in Skyrim being nonessential is perhaps Bethesda’s biggest game design blunder to date.

Lina skimmed her fingers along the beacon's surface. The faintest hum emanated from it and, as if realising her attention was on it, the hum strengthened and took shape.
"Mortal, you have delayed long enough," Meridia's voice said, still loud and booming against the safehouse's walls. "Malkoran continues to defile my shrine to this very minute and yet we languish at your desk. What reason do you have to stray from the path I have placed you on?"
"It's Evening Star, my lady," Lina reminded her, taking care to keep her tone polite despite her frustration. "I'm not sure how it is for daedra but as a mortal, I will likely die of exposure if I start up Mount Kilkreath in the middle of winter. I can't stop anyone, necromancers or otherwise, if I freeze to death before I even get there."
The beacon is silent for a moment. "A fair point. Were my influence in this land strong enough, I would think my radiance would be enough to sustain you. Alas…"
The unspoken I have no influence here hung in the air. Lina turned back to her research, jotting down a few additional notes, before groaning and setting down her quill. Somehow, the not-quite-an-orb had managed to make her feel guilty. Tapping a nail against her desk, she let out another groan.
"First Seed," she settled on. "We'll be heading to Whiterun in time for Flower Day but there's a few days before we need to head out to Dragon Bridge. We can spare a few days before we start heading south. There'll still be the chill of winter, but it won't be as bad as it is now." Hopefully, she thought.
"A compromise. I suppose there is little else I can hope for, beyond finding a new champion."
This gave Lina pause. "Champion? I'm not sure I agreed to that, my lady."
"It will be a fitting reward for the one who restores my temple and brings my light to the people of Skyrim, wouldn't you agree?"
"Are there not… better candidates?" Lina asked, hoping that Meridia couldn't see her grimacing through the beacon.
"Almost certainly," came the Bright Lady's response. "And yet it was not they who found my beacon, nor was it they who I have chosen. This is an honour that I have decided will be bestowed upon you alone. You should be extolling my generosity, not questioning it."
"It's not that, it's just…" There was no polite way to tell a daedric prince that you had no interest in becoming their champion. While Lina fumbled, Meridia seemed to consider the conversation over.
"Gratitude will come with time. I shall wait until First Seed, mortal and champion-to-be. Do not keep me waiting long."
Lina stared at the beacon as if she could will a different response from it with her eyes alone but no further words came from it. Her head fell into her hands and after a short while, she stepped away from her desk, no longer in the right headspace to continue her research.
