I hate life someone please explain to me why a ship tag with an aroace character has over 2k works but a platonic tag with the same two characters (one of whom is said aroace character) has only 400 works

Every aro and ace person should be able to kill and murder anyone ever whenever we interact with fandoms because people simply cannot comprehend that shipping isn't the only way to have fun while engaging with literally any media

ok, so, this is my first time being in a big fandom that isn’t like dead, in a WHILE. Safe to say, I forgot how toxic and draining it can be. Like I’m just trying to enjoy things I like and hang out with people who just wanna vibe. But like all the mis-tagged posts and the yelling at each other (mostly over shipping) is just so tiring. I don’t post much, if at all, but like I just need to say something at this point.

I’m a shipper. I love shipping. But omg can we stop trying to kill each other!? Like maybe it’s cause I’m a multi-shipper, but like Ive never understood shipping wars or hating on other ships. For example I don’t like Zaundads (nothing against Zaundads shippers), it’s not my thing, I personally see them as brothers because they are meant to be parallels for Vi and Jinx. But that doesn’t mean I go out of my way to bother Zaundads shippers when they’re doing nothing but enjoying their ship!! Like I was happy for them that they got more content in 2x07! And if for whatever reason you really just CANT..just block it…don’t make that someone else’s problem…?

And the Christian Linke thing. I will admit, at first I was heated too. As an ace person who’s favorite ship is MelJayVik (at first just JayVik but the pipeline swallowed me lol) I didn’t like that part of my identity was being used to invalidate or villainize something I like. However, looking more into the situation has calmed me down a bit, especially seeing how aggressive people are being. Yes, I think Viktor being ace was implemented weirdly and could’ve been handled better. But that doesn’t make Christian some spiteful, evil, homophobic, SoB. Like…could he have revealed it sooner or made it more upfront in the show? Sure. But I think treating him like the devil for that discredits how important he was to the making of Arcane and how hard he fought it in the first place. Like it’s fine to be mad at him, or disagree but, remember, he’s just a guy. A person; we can very easily forget that online.

It just feels like every time I show up to this fandom, I’ll be happy one minute and grimacing as people argue the next. Like I know one post from a rando who never posts anything isn’t gonna stop fandom toxicity. But like can we just all chill out for a minute and think about what you’re arguing about. We all love this show…so why are we yelling at each other..we are the same thing different font fr fr lol. Like I’m just tired at people yelling at each other for…having a good time..? Enjoying what they enjoy…? Existing?

why is it so rare to enjoy vanilla rainworld, downpour, and the watcher???? why does nobody else seem to genuinely love all three

i love to think about Clara in the aftermath of the plague, getting to be a real kid for once.

having a nice, warm bath? she’d lose her mind. because let’s be real, she probably has never had a bath once since she was born, and she definitely stinks. she would splash and roll around like a chinchilla having a dust bath.

having a tea party? attendance is mandatory. Daniil and Artemy are legally allowed to show up.

playing pretend? she insists that she gets to be God. “Clara, we’re playing Wolves…” “then i’m God as a wolf.”

just playing any games like Tag or Hide and Seek or anything like that? playing on the playgrounds? she would have so much fun.

blanket forts? she would LOVE THEM!

her getting toys and nice clothes and other things she likes.

being carried to bed by Daniil or Artemy and getting tucked in.

game nights at Artemy and Daniil’s house.

#nobody is talking about him and andromache #most of the stuff about him and hermione is about how cute and in love they are #lots of stuff about how young he is but nothing really exploring the ramifications of that #what it might mean to be drawn into a war and participate in so much violence at such a young age #like sure that might make him feel guilty or sad. what does that mean for his relationships with other people?#i’m coming at his character from a place of caring about andromache first and foremost so I have different priorities #but there’s no version where he has a sweet happy family life after the war. it’s messy #he has 1-4 children with his enslaved concubine and none with his wife #it’s a complicated situation even if you’re not pulling their characterization from euripides #fandom musings

#pdbc #I love him. he’s the sole descendant of a royal family and. if you’ll pardon the pun. is royally fucking things up for himself #he could do so much in life and instead decides to be the next Gordon Ramsay……..such wasted potential #did. did I ever mention that part of him. his clan is called the Ramsay clan after all #he wants to be Gordon Ramsay sooooo fucking bad…….#big theater kid gone wrong energy from him #so many of my posts this year have been pdbc related. it Will happen again.#< (in my defense I’m working on other non-pdbc stuff !! but pdbc stuff is easy to make because I don’t have to think about it)#once I’m not so burnt out I’m really excited to design bingo….not even going to attempt to rn #I hate designing outfits but I’m actually looking forward to his bc he has a horrid mix of royal garments and astereotypical butcher outfit #speaking of butchers. butcher vanity? great song absolutely fits him. cannot stop listening to it #surprisingly him being like. a literal cannibal isn’t even all he does. that’s just a…little quirk of his #like ya’d think him eating people would be more important but nah. he’s a POET and a MAGICIAN 😤😤#I’d say he’s one of the most evil characters but…..kinda all of my characters are #sure bingo tries to eat people and bomb people’s homes but there are side characters who put acid in the water supply and aren’t punished #so bingo’s just par for the course honestly #the best thing he’s ever done is install an air conditioning unit. there wasn’t one before bc Mole (his mom) didn’t like them—#—which resulted in people keeling over from heat exhaustion a lot so. good job for fixing that bingo #it’s the bare minimum but that’s pretty good for him so he can have a round of applause for that #I think I might have mentioned Gerbombs in passing but I love them sm #they’re gerbils genetically engineered to blow up when pressure is placed on them #they’re adorable. thankfully they have no concept of death so they’re just chilling with no worries in the world #before you get sad. Sushi rescued most of the Gerbombs and now cares for them so happy ending #no Gerbombs shall die under her watch. I don’t think I could deal with it if too many Gerbombs died #although they’re called Gerbombs they’re actually more physically close to jerboas #they’re so cute. I should draw a Gerbomb sometime #(I should also probably rename them jerbombs considering they’re not gerbils but ehhhhhhhhhhhhh)

we all know hina’s years-long unrequited love for yukki, but in this event~~~~~~ he found her cute!!! and he said “the boy who’ll become setoguchi’s lover will definitely be happy”!!!!

a n d he briefly pictured what it’d be like to date hina!!!!!!!! and the wish he made at the shrine was for hina’s happiness (for the rest of her time in high school)…

#so like. i think it’s fine to love and support a ship (even if it doesn’t become canon) as long as you mind your manners #like. dont go harassing the creators and/or people who dont support your noncanon ship m y g o sh. i thought that was common sense #i think kyhn shippers these days are pretty respectful for the most part. they make cute art and vibe in peace pretty wholesomely #though it’s not like kyhn was *that* popular back in the day too… most people seemed to be rooting for kotachan #even from the time of the hina movie’s initial release #i get the sense that we all just cried together at the foregone conclusion of kyhn and smiled at the cute moments while we could…#th o u g h not gonna lie i only started supporting kthn after reading the daikirai novel bc he was so hilariously salty in it #and that was. like. in late 2020… so more than 3 years after the hina movie… (<-creature who could *not* let go of kyhn)#so. like. i think given some time the initial flames of angry shipper rage should peter out… perhaps.#so my point is… even though times are hard and copium supplies are low… do not compare kyhn to lhy/yhy they are *not* the same #kyhn had cute bits and hints and stuff like this~~~~ but yhy has never been a thing from the start.#and. like. it was really obvious from the start that kyhn would not become canon… as sad as that truth was at the time #hw loves to release paired songs of couples (the another story and such) and kotachan got the another/triangle story of imasuki #while yukki had nothing after rival sengen for years #(kore seishun doesnt count bc it was a chicosana song for years before the 4th charasong album)#but aaaaaaaaa~~~~~~~~~ i still really really really like the gardening club together as an ot3… ktkyhn…#i still think kthn and kyry should merge into a little love quartet and open a flower shop together #let them all garden together~~~~~ live laugh love kthnkyry…???? there has gotta be a better acronym for that…#just honeypre things
