Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited children and young people at the Children's Department for cancer and blood diseases at Oslo universitetssykehus together with Barnekreftforeningen. The Crown Princess brought juice and cakes, identical to the birthday cakes that were served at the backyard party at the Castle three days earlier. It was a memorable cake party with song, crown for the birthday guest and good conversations.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit also got to learn more about the work of the Children's Cancer Association and meet two peers, who work as volunteers and use their own experiences to help the families. Peers themselves have been relatives or sick as children, and they know what can be difficult.
