Guuuyss!!! I see you take loretta or teddy as likely next victims for s5 and I wanna tell you my opinion:
I hope it's Loretta (and this is not going to happen for sure lol she is so loved by many and with reason) because I need to see Nathan Lane as the eternal nightmare I love, jumping on my television just for my pleasure.
Although I love Meryl, I know that I will be able to see her in two very famous upcoming sequels, but Nathan? No man, I need Teddy at Arconia. NOT JOKING OK?!?!?
Or just kill Irish Paul Rudd instead!!

I want to talk about the evolution of Theo's appearance.
I mean, look at that glow up! That doesn't even look like the same actor, let alone character.
In season 1 he looks a lot like his teenage self: kind of greasy.
Mabel, Tim, and Oscar looked younger in their flashbacks. And to me at least, Theo really didn't. Out of all of them, he's been given the least opportunity to change, to grow up.
Then in season 2 (really just 2x07; in 2x04 when he's talking to his father he looks like his season 1 self) he looks more mature and put together. He's less awkward, more free.
In season 3, the trend continues and it's no longer subtle. He looks quite different, older for sure. He's more relaxed. We see him engage with his friend and his interests, have more fun.
He looks a lot like his dad, while Teddy is just a painting in the back of Uma's closet nowhere to be seen.
I'm obsessed with how the farther removed Theo is from Teddy the more grown up and well he looks, and I'm obsessed with how he looks so much more like his dad in a season where we don't even hear about them interacting.
(I'm also curious if, upon interacting more with his dad, Theo will look more disheveled, to show backsliding.)
I'm obsessed with how he suddenly looks a lot more like Will.
To be clear I don't think whatever symbolism is there in the glasses + beard addition (on some level we can't help but become our parents no matter how hard we try?) is necessarily intentional— I'd have to see season 4 before forming an opinion for sure, but I do think it's more likely that it's just a normal look for James Caverly and the time skip between seasons meant that it wouldn't be weird for Theo to look pretty different. Plus, they've now set him up as a potential love interest for Mabel, so he should probably look as attractive as possible.
But still, in a show that has an ongoing theme of family, it's all very interesting. I think season 4 will have a siblings theme of sorts (posts about why). I'm hopeful that Teddy will return and we'll finally see Theo and Will interact. (Note: as far as I know, Nathen Lane's absence and Ryan Broussard's low screen time were more so due to scheduling conflicts then creative decisions.) I'm also hopeful that we'll see a little more of Will's feelings about Oliver's heart attack and the circumstances leading up to it— because once again, Oliver prioritized the theater over his family, which is, ya'know, the root of all their issues.
And speaking of conflict, we've seen a plotline about how DNA doesn't matter (Oliver and Will,) and one about connecting with biological family after a long and painful separation (Loretta and Dickie.) I wonder if season 4 will have something of a push-pull between the two. Considering the actors' chemistry, it's hard not to imagine Theo and Will connecting if given the chance. (And I do think they'll get a chance at some point, or they wouldn't let the actors talk about it in the aftershows.) Given Teddy Dimas, it's hard not to imagine them having complicated feelings about that. Rounding back to the potential symbolism of Theo's new look re: (fear of; you can't help) becoming like one's father, Will experienced that in season 2 with his son's play. It's also been a theme/fear in Charles' life, so very much in these writers' wheelhouse.
There's no ending to this post, it's just a part of Theo's character arc I really enjoy, and I'm excited to see it continue.

Hi! 🔮 My recent post on Taylor Swift prompted me to take a look at the charts of prominent women in the country music genre. I did some research, and found a strong pattern of Ketu influence, which makes sense if you understand the energy of Ketu & the nature of country music/values.
Country music places a lot of value in authenticity, and being true to your roots/where you grew up hence why we don't tend to see a lot of country artists who didn't actually grow up in or at least spend time in regions associated with the country genre. Country music is also often very patriotic, & Ketu speaks of being in touch with your roots (especially Mula) & your ancestors (Magha).. oh and horses, lots of horses (Ashwini).
I just snoopy snooped and looked into some of major female names in country, and there was definitely a pattern that stood out. I'd doubt eeevery single artist who ventures to create country music will have Ketu influence (for example, another pattern I've definitely seen is Krittika, Rohini & Mrigasira influence AKA 'Garden of Eden' Nakshatras, which makes sense with country music's connection to nature, farming, agriculture, etc), but the prominence of Ketu is interesting. Usually Ketu or a Ketuvian Nakshatra on the Sun/Moon/Ascendant, or Ketu itself in a Ketu ruled Nakshatra (since artists tend to heavily pull from the energy of their Ketu).
I'm not really an avid country listener myself but I just thought I'd share the rabbit hole I went down lol, could be interesting to somebody.
*note that I am using Mid-Mula Galactic Center Ayanamsa, see my post on ayanamsa here ♡
♡
LeeAnn Rimes - Mula Moon & Magha Sun // Loretta Lynn - Ashwini Sun & Ketu in the 1st // Miranda Lambert - Magha Ascendant
♡
Dolly Parton - Magha Moon (& possibly asc) + Ketu in Mula // Taylor Swift - Mula Sun // Carrie Underwood - Ketu in Mula with Ashwini MC (I'll note that the MC is not traditionally used in Vedic, but I definitely see patterns showing its importance).
♡
Carly Pearce - Ashwini Sun & possibly Ashwini Moon (no birth time) // Lana Del Rey announced she will be putting out a country album and has been slowly incorporating country elements into her style lately (although it's not her typical genre) & she has Ketu conjunct Ascendant + Magha MC //
This transition to the country genre partially relates to Lana's friendship & involvement with country artist, Nikki Lane- we don't have her ascendant but I'd say it's very likely to be in a Ketuvian Nakshatra based on her appearance too- she looks a little like Eva Green to me (Magha Asc + Rahu), but that's just an idea for now
♡
Trisha Yearwood - Ketu in Mula // Faith Hill - Magha Venus + Jupiter & Ashwini Moon + Rahu // Shania Twain - Ketu in the 1st
I did check Beyonce's chart out of curiosity since she also recently put out a country album, but interestingly I can't seem to find any Ketu influence. I think that does make sense though if you consider that the album isn't necessarily a true blue country album, it stays true to Beyonce's image as more of a popstar/R&B sort of artist, but incorporates country elements. I think that was her intention too:
On March 19th, Beyoncé herself said in a detailed statement, “This ain't a Country album. This is a 'Beyoncé' album,” and said the album was an effort to, “bend and blend genres together.”
Again though, I'm certain that not every single country artist has Ketu influence anyway lol- in astrological observations like this we're just analysing and interpreting patterns and energy rather than dictating facts. I don't think there's a cosmic law that 'every country artist must have Ketu influence' but yes, there is a natural energetic pull & pattern at play.
Ketu also holds prominence among rock/heavier artists (see Alannah Myles; Mula Sun + Saturn & Joan Jett; Ketu in Ashwini) buut that's for another day lol. I think in general, Ketu influenced artists are going to be drawn to adding an element of 'grit' to their sound, whether that be pulling from a more country/blues esque root, or a rock/metal/punky one.
I hope this was interesting to someone, and I'd love to do more observational posts like this as the astrological patterns come to my attention ♡ 🩷

wow a romance booklist that actually respects the genre
some thoughts:
pretty much all the historical recs are on point— Elizabeth Hoyt, Beverly Jenkins, KJ Charles, Loretta Chase, Laura Kinsale
This isn't a #booktok iist, that's for sure
There was another "best of romance" (possibly historical romance) list a couple months back that tended towards listing the first book in a series rather than the better book, except A Week to Be Wicked, by Tessa Dare (book 2 in the Spindle Cove series) somehow escaped this fate here when it didn't in that other list lol
HOWEVER I do think You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria and Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt aren't the best in their respective series. You Had Me at Hola is a fairly strong series beginner but A Lot Like Adiós takes the cake as far as novelty (friends to lovers done RIGHT), heat, and characters with diverse backgrounds (Mexican, Puerto-Rican, Italian-American rep, both are bi, both want to be child-free). And there are at least 6 Maiden Lane books that are better than Wicked Intentions imo. I never got past the first couple chapters of A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole, which was on this list and is also a series starter, but I wouldn't be surprised if the same holds true.
I'm veeeery curious about A Gentleman in the Street by Alisha Rai and The Magpie Lord by KJ Charles now, which is what lists like this should do! For someone who reads a good amount of romance, it's neat to discover older, interesting works by familiar authors
This list did a much better job as far as diversity compared to other lists of a similar ilk.

Buckle up people, I’m about to tell you who’s this season’s killer
It’s Donna.
Why, you might ask? Nothing up to this point actually let to her, right? Wrong!
Have you ever seen that musical, The Producers?
The Producers’ plot is really simple. There’s this guy Max Bialystock, who - with help from this other guy, Leopold Bloom - scheme a plan of how to make 2 million dollars in profit from a total and utter disaster of a play. They think of this amazing five stages of a plan, which only the first two will be useful for us.
Step One: Find the worst play ever written.
Step Two: Find the worst director in town.
So, what does it mean for us?
Death Rattle (the play) is this ridiculous murder mystery where the main suspect is a baby. It’s, it’s just ridiculous, right? Step one speaks for itself.
Okay, but what about step two?
We know that there were at least two directors signed for this play: Jerry Blau and Oliver Putnam. Now, I’m not a critic, but I do have a feeling like both of them can be seen as a disasters just waiting to happen. We’re talking about people who are either a) living in the theater cause they’re broke and too proud to go back home, b) director of Splash! The Musical (2005). Like I said, not a critic, but doesn’t seem like a money making machine for me.
Okay, but what about it? It might as well be a coincidence that it fits, right? Wrong.
There are two real life people cameos in this season - opposed to last two ones, where we got just one per each. This time, we got this silly little guy, (who’s extremely talented and funny) Matthew Broderick, and this other silly guy (who’s more famous and more accomplished than any other star cameo in the series) Mel Brooks. What do they have to do with it, you might ask?
Well, it’s time to skip to the year of our lord 2001, and the Broadway premiere of The Producers, whom were written by silly guy number two, Mel Brooks. It had an amazing cast, everyone was so talented, and later nominated for Tony’s. One of which, was this silly guy number one, Matthew Broderick, for the role of Leo Bloom. Unfortunately, he lost in his category to his co-star, our own Teddy Dimas, Nathan Lane, who’s suspiciously absent from this season (sure, he was having some other, Broadway related play gig, but hey).
And you might say, okay, they got Broderick, and what? Well, let me tell you: not every show got a chance of Mel Brooks’ cameo. I mean, come on, Broderick has an incredible filmography and stage career, why The Producers out of all of them? Why Mel Brooks?
Okay, so you might ask now, if you’re still not convinced: what was her motive? What, was it money? That doesn’t make sense! And you’d be right. I think, that her motive was something far more important to her: Cliff, her son.
Up until last Tuesday I was convinced she wanted Death Rattle to fail. I mean, that was meant to be Cliff’s debut, and if it would turned out to be a hit, he would most probably leave her - or so she thought he would, so she poisoned the cookies, and left them for show’s biggest name, knowing Ben wouldn’t resist to try them.
But now I know, or at least suspect, that that’s not the case, thanks to one scene from this week’s episode.
While in the bathroom, Donna did said to Loretta, that a mother would do everything to protect her child; now, we were meant to be focused on Loretta and her struggle, but what if there’s more to that scene? What if she wanted her son to succeed, and the show to be a hit, but sensed that Ben Glenroy was a threat to not even her, but her baby, and his Broadway debut?
This week’s episode was about mother who was able to confess to a crime she didn’t commit, just so she could protect her baby. I think that this seasons murderer is a mother, who committed said crime, just so she could protect her baby.
#thank you for coming to my ted talk#I do believe it’s her yes#okay now normal tags#loretta durkin#donna demeo#cliff demeo#ben glenroy#dickie glenroy#matthew broderick#mel brooks#the producers#oliver putnam#charles haden savage#mabel mora#only murders in the building#only murders hulu#a natalia original™

My thoughts on the most popularly predicted season 5 victims:
Loretta
For:
There's no way Meryl Streep will continue on the show for long lol
This would be a way to write her off without breaking her and Oliver up (as would be repetitive after Charles and Joy)
Personal loss for Oliver!
Against:
We KNOW her backstory, not much to focus on here.
Was a major character last season, not sure Meryl Streep would agree to be a supporting actor again.
Would call back too much to season 3 imo and that's the weakest and least popular season.
Howard
For:
Been in every episode this season
Well known character the audience cares about (encourages us to watch)
We know very little about Howard's backstory
Against:
Killing him would mean we loose the only supporting building tenant and a huge source of comic relief.
Teddy
For:
Personal Loss for Oliver, potential for him to be a suspect?
Would mean a Dimas centered season, and they are popular characters people have wanted to be brought back.
Great season 1-2 callback
Against:
Nathan Lane hasn't been present for two seasons
The writers seem to hate the Dimas boys or some reason and refuse to make them prominent characters.

John: I have a complaint as a director of Apple Paul: Mm? John: No bog paper! Paul: Oh yeah? John: Terrible disgrace. Paul: They've got pink upstairs. John: Have they? Paul: Yeah.
- They're so happy listening back to themselves playing old rock n roll numbers. It's disgusting. Having a fucking dance. George grinning his stupid face off. I hate them.
- George suggests they do a 'Beatles' Dance Album' of oldies, and John says 'Yeah, the Beatles' Fab Faves'. (how even dare they suddenly work out what the whole project should have been on day 18 ffs. Gather for a few weeks, work out great versions of the songs they fucking love, and then do a show of them. Either to a lovely dance hall with a happy audience, or - if george threw a mood - something arty where you play them all in different places with different weird setups. Anything. God it would have been everything.)
George: It was really swinging yesterday! Glyn: Oh, it's beautiful!
- In the audio today Paul admits that he doesn't know how to drive on motorways and just stays in the outside lane all the time, which is just a weird normal bit of thing that I'm happy to know about him. I love that he knows he's obnoxious to the police but doesn't care. And then his tax disk was out of date, and John is confused because surely the office sort that out, but no they don't apparently. The lovely bits of Get Back are worth dying for.
- All of the thing totally justifies the way fic writers have been writing music sessions for decades. They're literally never saying anything more meaningful than "It does work that bit, the bit before that bit, y'know, but then this bit's a bit-" "yeah" and "It needs to be flatter, you know, a bit hand gestures" or "It's just very ploddy."
John: It's such a high when you get home... I'm just so high when I get in at night. George: Yeah, it's great, isn't it? John: I just - you know, that bit like on acid, where you see a little hand miles away. I was just sitting there listening to the last takes: 'What have I had? What have I had today?' You know, I ask her, 'Have we had anything?' Yoko: You're just high in general.
(the acid bit of this is missing in the book, with no indication they missed it. so thanks to @amoralto for that bit.)
- It's nice when they do talk about the ways that being together so much and playing every day is really working. Like George saying a bit ago how he can feel his fingers getting loose. And he's obviously writing loads, and sometimes things are starting to resolve even. John's really getting into it too, and not wanting to leave at night. There's loads of it that's really good for them. (I do think office hours is a mistake, but if they were doing sort of two to ten each night, it might be finer. Or if anyone was just well enough to cope with themselves.)
- George quizzing Billy about what chords are what. Paul really getting into Old Brown Shoe. George's smile when it's all lovely.
- I know I said so just yesterday but still and again I so much love how much Billy responds to Paul responding to music.
Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a cleaner, but she was a frying pan.
- I love the little shot of John helping people move furniture.
- When they start getting all fussed about the setup and the mics and the PA and the sound and they can't hear it right and it's all a disaster, a dreadful disaster, but they've got George Martin. Who just very calmly tells them what's wrong, and tells them he'll fix them. And then when they start a new thought, he very calmly tells them what's wrong and tells them he'll fix it. Then he gives them little jobs to do - let's open the piano for a start. Amazing. Impeccable. Pure. Imagine how much we might all achieve if George Martin was there to calmly tell us what was wrong and how to fix it.
GM: It doesn't matter particularly about Ringo hearing the piano does it? John: No it doesn't matter about him, we never take any notice.
- John working with Paul on how to phrase the 'I guess nobody ever really loved me' bit in Don't Let Me Down. Fuck off, both of you.
Beatles: [playing nonsense] Glyn: You do realise this tape is costing you two shillings a foot? George: Costing EMI. We're EMI artists, man, no?
- <33333 All the tech staff having their little jam while the Beatles are off at lunch. HEAVEN. Best bit of the entire thing. They could have their own little spin off show, where they just sit in small rooms and talk about (a) how awful and difficult the Beatles are, (b) how there's still too much bass and (c) how nice it might be to kiss Paul McCartney just theoretically.
- Okay so Paul playing Strawberry Fields on the piano in the most beautiful voice he has, and John not looking at him… that happens, that's something that happens, and which I have no feelings or words about.
- You see now today they're pretending they couldn't possibly edit anything and GM is laughing at them when he ought to just stab them and let them bleed out. They're so impossible. I have genuinely no idea what any of them want this thing to be or why they want it, or if they all think someone else wants it.
- PLAY SOMETHING ELSE. If I was the control room I would have just switched them off.
- If they want to record everything in one take, they need to go back to the top ten club and rehearse the numbers for seven months and then come back and grin at the cameras. George is allowed in Germany, and they wouldn't need a boat.
[Paul worrying they don't have a good take of Long and Winding Road yet] Glyn: I think it's very tasty - tres tasty in fact Paul: Oh, the little version we had? George Martin: He's so good for your morale, this boy. Paul: SHUT UP GEORGE MARTIN, LET HIM TELL ME MORE THINGS HE LIKES ABOUT HOW LOVELY I AM.

🎶✨when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers (positivity is cool)🎶✨ - I got sent this so now I send to you !
Oh, hey, thanks! Don't mind if I take this opportunity to a) not follow the prompt and b) be a little unhinged :) I'm gonna go with five categories of Things I Listen To instead of five individual songs:
Lesbian Swagger
Okay, so, Brandi Carlile collaborating with Joni Mitchell (a la Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett). They're all great! But this one. Can we talk about her blazer in this clip? Can we talk about Joni bringing the jazz stylings? Can we talk about Elton's cute little hand gestures on the "yeah, yeah, yeah"s?
youtube
I watched this and it immediately reminded me of kd performing with Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, and Kitty Wells. There's something to be said about a stylish lesbian having an absolute blast and bopping about the stage with a giddy grin because she's doing what she loves. (And if she makes everyone else on stage look like a goofy mom doing wine night karaoke, I mean, hey!)
youtube
Both kd and Brandi have that infuriating ability to out-sing everyone they've ever shared a stage with. CAN YOU TWO PLEASE GET TOGETHER ALREADY?
And Now: The Gents
Billy Brown is Penny Lane's out and proud younger cousin. You're Nearer makes me think that there is a Paul McCartney drag show in my future. You Have Been Loved is an underrated gem. I often wonder who these guys' target demographic is. I asked my early-twenties gay male coworker if he liked any of them; he said he'd never heard of them. Alarming! Generational shift? Maybe. I've met too many young lesbians who don't know kd or Indigo Girls or Melissa Etheridge. Still! No offense, but Sam Smith and girl in red can't hold a candle to Ye Olde Homosexuals Of Yore.
The Source Of My Snobbery
My voice teacher (of two months) wanted me to sing Un Moto Di Gioia as a recital piece (before my performance anxiety and commitment-phobia got the better of me). Several performances I looked to as reference points are still coming up on shuffle a year later. My showerhead's ears are bleeding. While rehearsing (before quitting), I kept thinking of Tom Hulce and tried to make my version uhh joyful? Sprightly? A smidge on the ironic side with exaggerated winks at my non-existent audience? Embarrassing. Glad I chickened out before the public humiliation phase. Je Crois Entendre Encore quiets something in my ribcage and leaves me in a fugue state. Hey, have you heard Bach's Ricercar? I checked out this CD from the public library in elementary school and it's still embedded in my neurons.
The Local Beat
I'm doxxing myself a bit, but here are my musician friends. Amara The Muse, Chris Braegger, Catfish Mustache, Before Giants, and svlph. Support your local musicians today!
Hey, Siri, Play...(The Songs I Put On Repeat Lately)
Love Is The Right Place, As The World Falls Down, Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby, Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes, Close To You, Gentle On My Mind, The Wind, It Doesn't Matter Anymore. I was going to list Newish Songs That Prove I'm Not A Snob Who Only Listens To Old Things, but it was kinda short and disingenuous. I'm old! I try to keep up with the youth, but I keep coming back to the oldies.
