requesting a little something of a bard Y/N who hung around the beasts as basically their friendly lorekeeper, one of the reasons they tried so hard in their duties was to have an ode or song be sung of their feats by them

but then they grew corrupt one by one and Y/N's last song was of their tragic rise and fall before any traces of them disappear in earthbread

it's only when gingerbrave n his gang began summoning cookies to their kingdom that Y/N comes out from hiding and with their journey to beast yeast, they sing to them to boost morale and possibly– the beasts hear??? you can do whatever you want with this 😊

So…you do. You sang tales of your journey amidst Earthbread and the many places you’ve been to as well as the many cookies that you’ve seen during your days.

The song takes a turn when you reminisce way further back in the even older days, to a time you didn’t think you’d remember again.

A time that you held dear to you ever since. Even if the circumstances now weren’t like how they used to be…

Hi, LoreKeeper. I was thinking... 2 years ago, I finished the story "The Mermaid's Tale" during this update back in 2023, could you gave me a recap about what happened to White/Black Pearl Cookie?

A Mermaid's Tale Recap/The Origins of Black Pearl Cookie

A Mermaids Tale is the story of how the kind and gentle mermaid, White Pearl Cookie, descended into a bitter siren of hate named Black Pearl Cookie.

History Archive

White Pearl Cookie wakes on the day of her Sea Foam Rite ceremony; a ceremony where gem mermaids get their special powers from the Almighty Sea. But, instead, the Sea herself visits White Pearl Cookie! The sea tells her that she is a small moon and will shine brightest when there is no light. Before the Almighty Sea can finish, she is cut short. At the end of the ceremony, despite the great events, White Pearl Cookie doesn't gain any powers. Devastated and overwhelmed, White Pearl Cookie swims off. Frilled Jellyfish follows in pursuit, desperate to make sure her lady is okay. But, to their shock and horror, White Pearl Cookie is captured by pirates!

White Pearl Cookie's sister's devise a plan to go save their baby sister. On the ship, a cookie named Abalone devises a plan. When the eclipse comes, the cookies of the sea will be at it's weakest, and that's when he and his crew will rob the sea of its riches. Afyer meeting White Pearl Cookie and finding out the gem mermaids are real, he plans to captute the rest of them. Another Cookie, Lord Oyster (just.. Lord Oyster. 'Not Lord Oyster Cookie'), ends up meeting White Pearl Cookie in the tank that she is trapped in. White Pearl Cookie and Lord Oyster talk one-on-one, and the two get along. He visits her more and more, and eventually, White Pearl Cookie tries her best to get Lord Oyster to set her free and just before he can give an answer, the boat is attacked by White Pearl Cookie's oldest sister, Crimson Coral Cookie!

Lord Oyster realizes that the only way to get Crimson Coral Cookie to stop is if he frees White Pearl Cookie. So, he goes against hid captains wishes and pushes her tank into the water.

White Pearl Cookie happily reunites with her eldest sister, but Crimson Coral Cookie wants to destroy the boat and those cookies once and for all. White Pearl Cookie stops her, as she doesn't want to hurt Lord Oyster. Crimson Coral Cookie understands and her and her sister retreat.

Meanwhile, on the ship, the crew is thankful thst Lord Oyster's thinking managed to save the ship. The cookies are also starting to question Captain Abalone Cookie after they realized that he would rather save the goods than his own crew-mates. Fearing a mutiny, Abalone Cookie kicks Lord Oyster off of the ship, and Lord Oyster falls into the ocean.

While in the ocean, White Pearl Cookie spits him and gives him the ability to breathe underwater, as well as not making his dough soggy. The two go on to have a cute little date, and White Pearl Cookie tells him about her and the Gem mermaids. The two promise to meet again in the future.

When Lord Oyster reminds White Pearl Cookie of the eclipse, White Pearl Cookie starts talking about how she fears that the sea doesn't truly love her, but Lord Oyster reminds her that the sea called her "Little Moon", and how she can shine in her own. He then calls her, "My Moon." Touched by his words, White Pearl Cookie gives Lord Oyster the most important thing to her; her White Pearl. With it, Lord Oyster won't turn soggy in the sea. She says that once he has completed all his goals, they will be able to meet again.

Lord Oyster's words ring in White Pearl Cookie's head, so she swims to the Tear to find answers. She touches the Pearl to speak with the Almighty Sea and feels power surge within her, and the Almighty Sea herself speaks to her. The Sea tells her that her power allows her to shine when there is no light. That gave White Pearl Cookie courage.

But, her happiness couldn't last for long, because the eclipse was beginning. And that's when Abalone Cookie and his crew attacked, but her sisters managed to drive them away. The Sea basically hypes White Pearl up as that's happening.

Abalone Cookie, wanting to get back to capturing the mermaids, decides to buy the pearl off of Lord Oyster and use it to convince the other sailors to go along with capturing the gem mermaids. While Lord Oyster refuses, he eventually does accept Abalone's offer, with the promise that it will bring his family out of it's slump.

Eventually, Abalone succeeds on convincing the other sailors, and he goes back with his crew to capture the mermaids. Lord Oyster hears him and rushes to see White Pearl Cookie.

As another eclipse happens and the gem mermaids are at their weakest , Abalone and his crew strike again. White Pearl Cookie's sister's order her to stay hidden, as she is the weakest of them, but she feels bad and like she could do more to help, so she disobeys their wishes. She swims to the surface to help two young mermaids, but comes across Frilled Jellyfish Cookie. Frilled Jellyfish Cookie follows her and the mermaids she was bringing back to safety. She tries to convince White Pearl that it's dangerous to go back up, but it's no use. In her anger, White Pearl Cookie lashes out at Frilled Jellyfish and swims off to the Tear to gain more power. But, a land Cookie had followed her there.

Frilled Jellyfish Cookie swoops in coming to fight him off with her lady. But, as she does, a horrible accident happens; Frilled Jellyfish Cookie is stabbed through the chest by a spear. In her dying moments, Frilled Jellyfish Cookie assures her thar Jellyfish never truly die, and that she'll be back. Still, White Pearl Cookie had just lost her closest friend. But, knowing that she will one day return gives White Pearl Cookie the courage to swim yp to the surface once more to try and take on the attackers. But, she is captured by Abalone Cookie. And, while she is in the net, she sees her Pearl. The Pearl that she gave to Lord Oyster.

Lord Oyster is finally able to meet up with White Pearl Cookie after White Pearl manages to escape the net. He tries his best to apologize and explain, but it doesn't work, as he has betrayed her so deeply. She leaves him out at sea, vowing to never meet him again.

White Pearl Cookie is captured (again) by Abalone Cookie. Crimson Coral Cookie comes to her rescue, but instead of waiting to be saved, White Pearl Cookie actively chooses to fight alongside her sisters. But, their energy wanes, and it seems that all hope is lost. But, lucky for them, the Almighty Sea was listening. With the sound if war and the tears of pearls, the Almight Sea rises, and makes her last attempt to reach the moon.

The sea rises higher and higher up into the heavens. But, just as she is about to touch her moon, the fatal mistake of dropping her sword comes back to bite her, and her entire body freezes, which creates the Tower of the Frozen Waves.

White Pearl Cookie realizes that, if she wants to defeat these cookies, she'll need the strength of the sea.

White Pearl Cookie goes to the Tear for a final time. Pleading to the Almighty Sea, she touches the Pearl. But, the grief and pain of the Almighty Sea combined with her own is too much to bare, and it transforms her into a Siren of bitterness, power, and hate. A siren named Black Pearl Cookie.

With Black Pearl Cookie's great power, she destroys everything. The land cookies, Tearcrown- everything. Her sisters (and revived Frilled Jellyfish Cookie) were forced to flee from their transformed sister's wrath.

With that, Black Pearl Cookie no longer felt any love in her heart. Only a bitter hatred for Cookie Kind. Now, she lays in the Duskgloom Sea, sinking any ship that comes to her kingdom of solitude.

[The Salty Shark] Abalone Cookie (She/Her) - The Navy's lorekeeper, in charge of keeping its history and achievements preserved to prevent them from fading into rumours. Despite this, Abalone is far more well known as an author in the Creme Republic, writing fiction inspired by her husband and his crew's adventures and fiction of the ocean she loves so much. In her early career, she was in hot water for writing "The Conque Republic", a novel set in a world where the positions of the Salty and Sweet were switched. Otter Cookie (They/Them) - A young but hardworking soldier of the Salty Shark hailing with the Lower City slums. Despite their cheerful and friendly personality, Otter is one of the best on the ship, their speed and surprising stealth makes them very useful for infiltration and spying. Though it seems that they like to spend most of their time talking about rocks.

[Pirate] Quetzal-Croco Cookie (He/They) - A pirate who's in it for the thrill, the mere sport of being a criminal of the vast sea on the run. Life before was too boring for them, but now they feel free and alive on the dangerous seas, even with the dangers it brings and the challenges of being a pirate. Though sometimes it's hard to take them seriously.

[The Whale Fall] Captain Whale Cookie (He/Him) - A highly respected Navy captain of the Whale Fall, and feared by many on the run from the law. No one really knows what his story is, as far as anyone knows, he had washed up by a village of the sea as a young Cookie with no one else in sight. He had nothing but a necklace with him. It is rumoured that he was lost at sea for years, which might explain his nonchalance towards the ocean and her cruelty. Sea Salt Cookie (He/Him) - Captain Whale Cookie's trusty first mate, hailing from a long gone village destroyed and pillaged by pirates when he was younger. Since that day, Sea Salt had dedicated his life to bringing such criminals to justice, and joined the Navy later on to fulfill this promise.

Final fantasy 7 prompts number 74

1. Zack rocketed out of the slide and strait into the nearby wall. All Angeal had to do was glance at the food tray lying next to his student to figure out what happened.

"Zack-!" He began, intending to chastise his protégé. But whatever he was about to say was lost when a blur of black and silver shot out of the slide. The next thing he knew, Sephiroth was staring cooly up at him from his position on the floor, his own tray abandoned a few feet away from them.

Zack started laughing

2. Zack and two other 3rds found a large pile of scales, laying curled up on the beach while out on a mission. They surround it and are preparing to pounce when the serpentine body unravels to show the torso of a man.

The three freak out a bit and ironically yell at the man to stay calm. The blond just blinks at them before rising up and up and...the man was the snake. Or was the snake a man? Either way, Zack ends up befriending him and bringing him home as a suprise birthday(?) present for the General. Seph needed a friend, and Spikey would be perfect!

In the meantime, Naga! Cloud lives as Zacks secret roommate

3. A were-chocobo is running around Shinra tower and Cloud is fed up with people assuming that it's him

4. Sephiroth accidently gets left alone with an infant and he panics for a while before excepting his fate

(Its funnier if its insane sephiroth)

5. A Sephiroth fan stalks time traveler Cloud, believing him to be a threat to their precious idol.

They find out something important and foil all of the blonds plans

6. Willingly walk into the lions den and let reunion take over. The implants will let you keep your rationality without alerting Sephiroth, mostly by creating feedback that makes the madman hear whatever he wants to hear. For all intents and purposes, you will appear to be his perfect puppet. Thats then you'll stab him in the back. Literally.

At least, that was the plan...until Sephiroth started hugging him and sobbbing. Then the silverette started talking about feelings and how neither of them would ever have to be lonely again. Cloud was honestly a little scared by this seemingly sudden mental breakdown and couldn't help but wonder what exactly Sephiroth was hallucinating from the feedback

7. Cloud cut through the fabric of spacetime, just barely managing to escape his silver haired stalker yet again. He didn't even have time to be relieved however, as a Cait Sith popped out from behind a nearby tree. "Oh, hey Cait." He greeted casually.

The robot didn't reply, choosing instead to stare at him in silence. Odd, considering "Cait Sith" was a chatterbox, even on a bad day and Reeve would never be so rude. "Reeve?" The blond asked, concerned.

The cat recoiled, as if startled by something before running off. "Huh." He made a mental note to ask Reeve about his Cait Siths when he got back to his home dimension.

A slight tremor made him pause. Looking to his left he found the source: a litteral stampede of Caits! And they were headed right for him!

He later learned this was a world where he was the villain instead of Sephiroth...after he was captured, of course

8. Cetra! Lorekeeper! Cloud laid his mother to rest after her sudden passing, but instead of taking over her duty as guardian of the sacred sights, he decided "Well, the planet is doomed anyway." And set out to walk in the footsteps of his ancestors.

He just wanted to see the world beyond the snow-covered pines and travel the old nomadic routes carved out by his kin. Kinda like a final lap, to say goodbye. Too bad there where so many people wanting to kidnap him...kinda puts a wrench in his plans.

Based loosely on the song Lullaby of the Moon by David Vitas. I like the twist at the end

9. Shinra and Wutai role reversal au

10. Au where Sephiroth didn't actually die in Nebilhiem. He came to inside the mako and swam away and contemplate his life decisions and decided to fake his death. (The events of OG, AC, etc remain unchanged)

He can't bring himself to actually cut his hair, so he dyes it and ties it back into a ponytail.

He lived through all of the tragedies, living life as a normal everyday worker...until a man with a crimson cloak walks into his life with the blond from his nightmares.

11. Sephiroth is terrible at cooking, despite following instructions to the letter.

Every year he makes these amazingly awful cookies. No one was brave enough to tell him that his food tastes like burnt mud, so he obliviously assumes that people are avoiding him out of fear. (He's kinda right.) So he hunts people down and gifts them to whomever he manages to catch, looming over them ominously with a blank expression until they eat.

This year, Zack gets caught.

12. Time traveler Cloud accidentally winds up mentally connecting with just about all of SOLDIER after his connection with the Sephiroth of his timeline is severed.

Instant regret. On the other hand, all the information flooding through his head is great for sabotage! :D

13. Time traveler Sephiroth and Genesis getting into arguments, which leads to Sephiroth telling Angeal about Gens recent (illegal) escapades.

Gen threatens to dye Sephs hair rainbow, and the silverette calls his bluff

Sephiroth is still wondering how Gen managed to do it...and so well too...

14. Time traveler Cloud au, buuuuut he somehow accidentally bodyswaps with Angeal.

Both are confused.

15. Veld slumped in his chair. The vice president was not making his life easy, that was for sure.

He glanced up to stare at the ceiling, only to find something unexpected there. An envelope was literally duct taped above his desk. How long has that been there?

Poke: Hi! I am Poke Popcornsalty, the spokesperson of Tapeworm2021. I use she/her pronouns.

Miro: Awesome! So Ms. Poke, could you tell me a bit about this lorekeeper gala you attended recently? I heard some interesting things happened there.

Poke: Well it- it was certainly one heck of an experience. There was a cursed knife and gem, somehow, which traumatized [NAME REDACTED FOR SAFETY]! And there was an attempted murder, and they killed this merperson! The cookies were good, though. Still, they will be paying for my therapy. Bea of the Tapeworm party attended and saw these things as well, and it was horrifying!

Miro: Oh no, really? Do you have any suspicions as to who attempted the murder?

Poke: I saw it- it was the merperson they killed. Their security is..... efficient, I will say. In the sense they are efficient in not getting much info out of the attempted murderer! To clarify. To the best of my knowledge, they killed the merperson for attempted murder. And I report this with no exaggeration- when i attempted to tell some lorekeepers about the odd knife and gem, (and they saw the knife fly through the air! Out of the room!) they simply shrugged their shoulders and said this was normal. Is this meant to be the highest voted for party-? With 37%-? I digress. On to the next question, please.

Miro: Oh- um, alright! What is tapeworm2021's policy on the larger mcyt community (hermitcraft, 3rd/last life, etc) and will you take measures to represent them when they are largely overshadowed by the dsmp side?

Poke: Tapeworm2021 wants to help these communities- such as implementing education on tagging. And when we take power, we will ensure fans from smaller smps will have representatives.

Miro: Lovely! I'm sure they will be glad to hear that. I must know- are there any dsmp characters Tapeworm2021 strictly does not endorse? I'm aware this is a controversial subject, but I'm afraid it must be touched upon.

Poke: Well-well now. I cannot speak for other members of the party, but I, as an individual, personally believe it is wrong to condemn anyone for their opinions on dream smp characters. I make my friends based on how nice they are to everyone, not which fictional character they call their meow meow(which is not to say that fiction doesn't affect reality, but that's a different can of worms). I- I know people who are "c!dream/c!techno/c!phil apologists" who have been far more polite and understanding to me then some inniters, in fact, here on tumblr. So it is my opinion that I only do not endorse c!schlatt chuckles light-heartedly But those are just my feelings on the matter. And as a party, rather then disliking any particular character, we fully endorse c!tommy! I hope this answers your question, I can elaborate more on details, if you so wish.

Night of December 11, 2022

Dream 1

I was with Sea and we were walking through an old, wooden house. It was in the middle of a forest, vaguely in the daytime. This house was an attraction of some sort, as there were lots of others walking through it as well. Sea and I passed a vending machine that was selling Christmas cookies sold by Orion. I thought about buying the cookies, but ultimately decided that I didn't have time to.

Sea and I were discussing their new role as the lorekeeper for Divine Intervention. We were climbing up to a platform using a set of stairs and clarifying the bounds of their role with DK, who had appeared and was walking with us now. The conversation was light and full of laughter. Eventually, Sea started talking about drawing our characters and reminded me that they would do so if I wanted. They said, "I'm more comedic than tragic when I draw."

Dream 2

The only things that existed in the setting of this dream were three long, rectangular couches arranged in a U shape. The rest of the setting was nonexistent. Not quite a black void because even a void is something. Instead, there was just the couches.

On the couch to the left sat some of my family members, including my dad and my cousin, Shahnza. On the couch in the middle sat my brother, my other cousin, Hamzah, and Zaina, an old family friend. My mother and I sat on the couch to the right. The middle couch was blue.

Ali, my brother, Hamzah, and Zaina were about to put on a comedy show. This was a show that the others had seen before, but that my mom and I had missed. Before the performance started, my mom and I were sat on the far right end of the middle couch, but without having moved there. We watched the performance from up close. The show consisted of puns told using props, mostly books. A younger version of Ali did the performing, holding up the props and reading pre-written jokes off their backs or off of pieces of paper tucked inside them. The delivery was unrehearsed and nervous.

Throughout the performance, my mom and I didn't laugh much, if at all. I smiled and nodded throughout, but didn't find the jokes funny enough for laughter. I felt like everyone in the room was watching my reactions intently, and that they felt I was being rude for not laughing.

At the end of the show, Hamzah sat on the couch to the right, while Ali and Zaina joined the others on the couch to the left, all without moving. I looked around at everyone and nervously asked what next, to which Shahnza replied that now was when they complimented the performers. I started a round of applause and both my mom and myself gave middling compliments to the comedians. It was clear, however, that everyone was disappointed in our reactions. My lack of enthusiasm and roaring mirth was somehow breaching a social contract or expectation that I had not known was present. Even while knowing implicitly what was expected of me, I couldn't perform. I felt it inauthentic to react in any other way and so, I acted as I would naturally, much to the disappointment of everyone else.

Ooh, that's a tough one! There's a lot of different things to choose from.

But right now, I'd say it has to be the beast cookies. The story potential is amazing. "Heroes holding power that makes them akin to Gods, only for that power to corrupt and lower them to fallen heroes. And now, thousands of years later, they watch the power they lost fall into the hands of others. Only this time, they stayed pure. But, they wont let them be heroes. They'll get their power back, one way or another. After all, how long can such a power truly be held, and truly keep someone pure?" I love it!

I may be biased for this one, but I also really like the witches. My ancestors managed to create life with desserts! That may not seem like much to you cookies, but to us, that was such an incredible feat!
