ngl I’ve been really enjoying how kinda puzzle heavy the exploration areas have been. they aren’t especially hard puzzles, but they keep the exploration engaging and give you reasons to run around an area/return to an area

#it’s all find a thing to hit a thing to hit a thing and get a prize #or it’s simply navigating your way up a series of ledges #there are others but it’s still engaging #I also love filling out maps. checking off lists #and I like how you are rewarded for exploring #its gotten me in over my head #but it’s been rewarding to get over those challenges #owen plays dragon age #veilguard spoilers #although my desire to both get the loot from the box and have a green check mark on my map…..#I would do things for a green checkmark and loot

trying the runescape/iron man/minecraft challenge again bc it was so fun last time except for when it wasnt

#the challenge is u have to craft all your armor/weapons/whatnot yourself and gather the materials yourself #no buying stuff at vendors #and you cant loot stuff either #its called either the runescape challenge or the iron man challenge but uh #i think minecraft most accurately describes wtf is going on #in my last challenge of this type i got married to taarie. very important to the challenge #and ofc i play w shit like frostfall and RND so thats. there #very fun i hate the first bit of it when you have nothing #but it makes having stuff later rewarding!!

I did the Steel Watch Foundry fight last night and. Good lord. That final fight sucked. The state of my party by the end of it all.

No spell slots between them. Caerqiroth (my Tav) went down 3 times, Gale went down once or twice, Halsin went down once. All of them hanging on to their lives by a thread.

Then there was this motherfucker. Spent the whole fight unbothered. Skipping around tapping the Titan and the Watchers with Shocking Grasp, doing more damage than he has a right to.

Didn’t even lose half his health I can’t stand him I love him he didn’t even struggle. Having the time of his stupid life.

#arcane trickster is fun tbh I prefer it for him #he did so good I rewarded him with the legendary bow I looted from the Titan #bg3

i finished veilguard.

#elisa plays veilguard #da4 spoilers #for the tags #well. it met my expectations! 7/10 #there were many things i enjoyed!! the gameplay was great #level design and loot system were cool to me #the companions were really cool #the story was uhhhhh as good as it could've been with the premise #i enjoyed all the solas interactions soooo muuuuuch #varric. let's say i sobbed sorry that's my best friend in the entire world #but yah. it was fine.#would have loved if the previous games had been more incorporated #felt not rewarding at all to be a longtime player

#THE GHOULS........#dont look at karol he does not matter here. hes a young nationalist #the old officer here is 💀💀💀IM DECEASED. WHYS HE BAD THO #AHHHH I REMEMBER MAKING A FALLOUT WARSAW AU AND MAKING IT A LOT ABOUT GROWING FROM PAST TRAUMA #VS BEING STUCK LITERALLY UNDERGROUND STILL BEING AFRAID OF THE WAR AND FIGHTING #i need to tell you ALL ABOUT IT WHEN I HAVE SOME MORE FIGURED OUT #but the basis was the fight between two main factions of the mermaids and the eagles #the mermaids lived in warsaw over the ground and they focused on healing themselves and the land etc #and the quest to get the player into the faction was finding the warsaw mermaid statue which was supposed to be a big morale booster #and like their main symbol and whatnot. to help with motivation. and the mermaid companion was supposed to be the old ghoul nowak i think #(the one at the top of the page here. next to him is a little mermaid symbol ❤️)#and the eagles were a militaristic faction made of mostly old ghouls who lived underground in the literal warsaw uprising sewers #and they all had like. trauma from the war. because this is a bad universe and the german occupation didnt end in 1945 but continued to 2077 #but like theres 50s aesthetics in fallout anyways so thats where i took the warsaw uprising from #anyways they all still live like its the war and its horrible but ingame theyd make some p good points about something #so thered be actual conflict and not 'good faction vs misguided/bad faction' but theyre kinda xenophobic whatever #and theyd have a quest of like. going through sewers without a map so you dont trigger any gas traps #and their companion was either karol (a foil to nowak [old ghoul supporting a new movement] - a young human supporting an aged movement)#or the old officer whose companion quest would be getting him to trust you and then leading him out to the surface #(like. him trusting you not to surrender him to the enemy) and the scene pictured is him seeing the saxon garden flowers for the first time #since he descended into the sewers as a young man to fight nazis. and I STILL LOVE THE DRAWING BABY!!!!!#and he was meant to be like. a character who inspires growth and healing from old and horrific trauma #and learning that the world doesnt always have to be as evil as it was before. and all that shit #ALSO the thing on his hat on the left is NOT a cross its a tiny little eagle pin #also the eagles faction was supposed to be much much harder to get into but reward it with better loot #or more interesting quests. because they are incredibly distrustful in case youre an enemy. and the mermaids are open and accepting #and kinda basic. but they are really vulnerable to any kind of attack because its full of inexperienced youngsters #so thered be a mermaids ending. an eagles ending. and a good unified polish factions ending where the eagles provide military support #and their experience and insight. while the mermaids provide food and healing and sunshine and their new perspectives etc #also old nowak and the old officer were meant to have some weird old man gay tension🤨🤨🤨❤️

every time i do the lockpicking minigame in starfield i think abt hbomb's deus ex video when he talks abt how everything is the hacking minigame

i'm someone who enjoys the fallout hacking minigame for the most part and i don't mind starfield's lockpicking but jfc eveything is the lockpicking minigame

im lockpicking open this computer and this door and that safe ill lockpick open your wife if i can

#like i agree with the point that it sucks to need to have the skill level to open a lock and then you also gotta olay this minigame #worse in skyrim i think bc you dont benefit that much from lockpicking perks #in starfield it just feels so bad #the minigame is alright but the perk tree is made up of perks to unlock high skill locks and the loot behind those locks isnt worth it #neither is the exp you get from the lockpicking #and bethesda has that kind of ethos where they make lockpicking “required” in the main story #where its not really required and when it shows up in a given main quest its such a low level lock #that its more of a hassle that it exists than a reward for doing lockpicking

Honestly, the world would be a better place if we had a dungeon crawler based on Koyanskaya of Light's Valentine scene.

I've been thinking about how it would work, and for the life of me I cannot put it into words how I would structure it. But I know it would be great.

#Fate/Grand Order #fgo #Koyanskaya of Light #Should it be a rogue-lite? Probably not.#There would definitely need to be checkpoints at the start of each floor.#I feel like actually chaining floor progression to QP gathered would be too much of a slog.#Unless we had a bunch of high-risk/high-reward enemies/loot to encourage players to take risks instead of farming low-tier mobs.#I have thoughts and I don't know how to use them.#I'd make it; but I can't imagine learning to code just to make a Fate/ fan game.#I like this franchise but not that much.
