Not to sound like a person who actually cares about children, but it's so alarming that there's this tendency and trend of not telling kids about their medical conditions that are in their charts.

I'm finding out as an adult that they (though it's not documented who) diagnosed me with a life-long, chronic condition without telling me when I was a teenager. I found out recently when I got curious about my medical charts, and otherwise, I would not have known what's wrong with me. I've been left with more questions than answers, and I feel like a private investigator investigating my own damn health and life.

Is this medical malpractice? Yes. However, I think it also speaks to a broader point of how children are seen to not be entitled to their own lives in any capacity, to the point where they are (intentionally or not) made ignorant about things that are or will affect them.

I have a lot of thoughts, but I just want to say this panel is the funniest thing I've ever seen:

God I just fucking. I am so blown away when I watch any older movie. When they filmed on real sets and built elaborate props because cgi wasn’t an option. “Ohhh but you can tell it’s an animatronic it doesn’t even look reeaaallll” shut the hell your mouth. That is an actual physical thing that the actors could actually see and interact with. It is a billion times more “real” than the endless greenscreen bullshit you love so much.

The Moon Over the Alley supplemental #1

A brief segment of The Moon Over the Alley featuring singer Roy Martin and “weirdies” Sue Wakeling and Eddie Doyle takes place in the vey cool looking Le Macabre Coffee Bar. Le Macabre was a kind of proto-Goth establishment which operated from the 50s into the 70s, decorated with hanging skeletons, skull ashtrays, tables shaped like coffin lids, murals featuring skeletons cavorting with naked young ladies, and with a jukebox which featured the Danse Macabre and Chopin’s Funeral March.
