not people calling deadpool and wolverine queerbait im begging yall to learn what queerbaiting is. like why is it that straight characters can have romantic subtext and thats all well and good but the minute gay characters have romantic subtext everyone gets out their pitchforks and starts screaming about queerbait. queercoding and queerbaiting are not the same people! i feel the fact that a song about going down on someone plays while the two protagonists hold hands to save the world should be evidence enough that the gayness was at least a little bit intentional. if you want to be mad about the movie not being gay enough thats fine but i keep seeing people praise venom as gay rep when it also doesn't explicitly state the two characters gayness or romantic interest (i love venom btw don't come for me). just can we stop the arguing and enjoy a fun movie please

Genuinely Williams switching Logan out for Franco feels personal and petty. I haven’t been following f2 super closely this year but from what I’ve seen Franco is just.. fine? I mean, he’s good, but he’s not Kimi or Paul. To replace Logan at this point would only make sense if they swapped him for someone with loads more experience, someone more likely to score points. At this point they’re swapping him for someone who’s probably gonna have his same level of performance, if not worse. It just feels almost petty? It’s like a weirdly personal move and it just makes me think about all of the reports of JV’s alleged mistreatment and silent treatment towards Logan.

okay this is so out of context but i was daydreaming of this scenario. you had an enemies to lovers and so very romantic story with logan. and then after losing him, you meet worst!logan. you have a similar dynamic only he can get rude. at some point he insults you and makes his own self feel uncomfortable. so he goes down the self hatred route, “the logan you knew would never say that, would he?” “he hated me too at first you know ” “at first? what happened then?” and you smile, “he married me”

Kinda 🧐 about something

Lap of Legends seems like a big event. They spent millions of dollars designing this technology, they reserved Silverstone, they invited all these legends out, they even had Crofty and Karun commentate.

But they only aired it live in the US late at night on channels that aren’t very common. They’re going to “distribute” it in other countries, but have not mentioned how or when. They made a few articles and videos about it on their website/app, but they only made one Instagram post about it.

And then, to top it off, they announce Alex’s contract extension 6 hours later, which obviously is very exciting, but we already knew his contract was until 2025.

It just seems like such a big deal for Williams and motorsport (and Logan) but they kind of buried it under the rug?

Idk, I was very excited for Lap of Legends and I loved it a lot, so I want it to get the attention it deserves.
