NCT Dream on their honeymoon!
AN: someone requested this one. GASP, THANK U. Mentions of sex lol because what's a honeymoon without sex. (Implied that you two already did it, but the first night meant having sex as a married couple, why am I explaining this jksdfkjsdk)
Mark Lee
Mark would probably take you somewhere in America. Probably LA or Miami, somewhere in the coastal area. Just you two enjoying the beach and spending the day at the carnival or fair land. You two are young lovers enjoying the night life in America! It'll be full of alcohol, giggles, and just spontaneous foodtrip! You two will book an airbnb with the cutest and coziest interior design. Also the first night would probably be more intimate and you two are nervous but at the same time, clumsy because you two wouldn't stop laughing ?? as if you two didn't fucked before lol.
Huang Renjun
Since your wedding with Renjun is during the summer or spring season, he would definitely take you to Japan for the honeymoon. It'll be during the cherry blossom season! It's cute and something about seeing the first bloom makes it exciting for both of you. You two will book a nice expensive hotel room and just spent the duration of the honeymoon sightseeing and of course, taking pictures around cherry blossoms trees. The first night with him is just like the first time you two had sex, but this time, you two are now married and much experienced. So it's much more special!
Lee Jeno
Jeno would take you to Japan too because he knows how much you love the culture there. He'll book a nice traditional house, (for the vibe he said.) and just take you to places like Tokyo Disneyland and Ghibli museum because you're a child at heart! He'll enjoy it too of course! You two also did A LOT of shopping. Also his looks are so exquisite, very tourist husband vibes with the shades and camera. OKAY so the first night with him is VERY much intimate, like you two just sitting in front of each other before you tell him to please take care of you. And he'll just smiles and say the same thing.
Lee Donghyuck
I like to think that you and Haechan probably fucked after your wedding, and that's because you two were so drunk after the reception LOL. But despite having a beach wedding, Haechan will still have a beach destination for your honeymoon. Bali, Palawan maybe. Anyways, you two will book a room in an expensive resort that's overlooking the beach. It's just a honeymoon full of beach activities, playfulness, and just you two being lovey-dovey!! Will kiss you under the sun set at some point. Also the first night will be much more romantic compared when you two were drunk.
Na Jaemin
Jaemin would probably take you to Europe for your honeymoon. Somewhere in Amsterdam or Paris because he's a romantic. Definitely a city tour especially during night where the city's much alive, filled with people and just bustling with noise??? yeah, you two would be holding hands giggling as you two venture out the city. Will also be that photographer husband who takes cute photos of your cute fits. He'll book an expensive hotel room for you two and for the first night, he was very very careful of you, like he was such a gentleman because he wants to show how much he loves you.
Zhong Chenle
Chenle would think that it's fun for you two to stay within each other's comfort place, so he'll probably take you to Shanghai or maybe Singapore city. It'll be city tour too! Since he's very confident with talking with locals, you two will have underrated food trips and just take you to interesting places that he found while canvassing the area. He's the type to hold your hands because you tend to get lost in the crowd. You chose the accommodation, so you found a cute airbnb that suited each other's taste. The first night with him is full of playfulness! Chenle would constantly tease you but it was still lovely nevertheless.
Park Jisung
Jisung would also bring you to Europe because he thinks that the 'honeymoon' vibe is just there. Probably in Rome or Barcelona. You two would book a nice hotel that overlooks the entire city, it was breathtaking when you two entered the room. You two would go sightseeing, try local foods, and just take pictures of each other. Jisung has his arms around your shoulder when you two are walking, and both your outfits coordinate! Also he likes to steal kisses from you. The first night would be romantic Like Jisung prepared EVERYTHING and you just lay there and be pretty for him.

Original Ask: Where Jamal and Reder are e.g in Bali or Greece and they have a pretty cute dinner date and they swim together and just enjoy each other (anonymous)
Word Count: 672 words
(author's note: thank you again for 250 reblogs, i hope you all enjoy 🩷)
Tumblr media
One thing that Jamal and Y/N loved to do together was travel. As soon as the football season was over, they were jetting off to various destinations around the world. To them, it was their time to relax, as well as escape the pressures and stress of the media.
On this occasion, the pair had chosen to go to Bali. The weather had been perfect and the hotel they had picked was stunning. Their favourite part, however, was the private beach by the hotel, which was where they spent a lot of their time.
The couple were in the final week of their holiday and had decided to go out for a lunch date. Jamal booked a table in a restaurant in the local town centre whilst Y/N got ready and once they were both dressed, they set off.
Strolling through the bustling streets, Y/N and Jamal were hand in hand, soaking in the atmosphere around them. The sun was beating down, casting shadows around corners and making the sea on the horizon glint in tones of blue and aquamarine.
Arriving at the restaurant, Y/N and Jamal were seated at their table on the outside balcony. The views were extensive and picturesque and Y/N swore she was in heaven when she looked around.
Menus were browsed and drinks were ordered as Y/N and Jamal talked to each other about where they wanted to go travelling next.
“I’ve heard the Maldives is nice, or Greece?” Y/N said thoughtfully.
“What about Australia? We could go to a couple of different cities while we’re there maybe?”
“That’s a good idea! We’ll have to look at flights later, see which ones work best.”
“Whatever you want, love,” Jamal said, smiling at his girlfriend.
Amidst their conversations, their food arrived and the pair ate it in comfortable silence. The company of each other was peaceful and comforting, the distant crashing of waves and soft scent of salt filling the air. Once they had eaten their meals and finished their drinks, Jamal paid the bill and the pair headed out of the restaurant and to the beach.
The walk was short and before they knew it, they could feel the sand beneath their feet and the sound of the sea was far louder. Jamal and Y/N stood still for a moment, gazing out at the sea. The blue water looked deliciously cool in comparison to the hot sun.
“I'll race you into the water!” Jamal said, sprinting down to the shoreline.
“What? Jamal! Wait!” Y/N said laughing, running to catch up with her boyfriend.
The pair were hot on each other's heels as they chased one another to the water. A warm breeze blew, enveloping the couple as they ran along the sand.
Finally reaching the ocean, the pair charged in, clothes and all. They immediately began splashing each other, shrieking and laughing as the cold water hit their skin.
Jamal waded over to Y/N and swept her off her feet. He spun around with her in his arms and she screeched giddily.
“Jamal Musiala, if you throw me into the water I will never ever forgive you !”
“I won't, don't worry baby,” He replied with a laugh.
He did however, lean down and connect their lips in a kiss. The kiss was clumsy and tasted of salt, but the pair's lips moved in sync nevertheless.
When they broke away, Jamal placed Y/N back into the water. As soon as she was back on the ground, she moved her arm up and pushed Jamal so he fell back into the water with a splash.
Y/N ran off laughing before Jamal could get up and catch her. He stood up and wiped the water off his face and began to go after his girlfriend.
“I'm gonna get you back for that!” But his statement held no real malice as he looked at Y/N fondly.
There was no one else he would rather go on holiday with.

Hi, I have an Oricorio (Balie), but I'm from Paldea. We only have two natural forms here, and all their nectar is imported (from Alola I assume, or a special greenhouse.) I was wondering, should I be offering all forms of the nectar to her at all times to let her choose her form? Or Should I only change her form if we need it for a battle? From what I looked up there's not a lot of Oricorio care online that takes into account not being in Alola.
i'm a bit confused as to your comment about the nectar, as we absolutely do have native plants that oricorio drink from. that's how our native oricorio population is able to eat and survive here in paldea.
as far as changing their forms, it's not really a huge deal either way. oricorio are dietary extremists and are able to survive solely on one type of nectar their entire lives without getting tired of it. you're welcome to offer a selection of nectar as enrichment, but research has found that most oricorio prefer the nectar local to the area they were born in. giving a variety of foods can be a lot of fun for the pokemon! but importing the nectars we don't have in paldea can get expensive, so i'd only order a little to start in case she doesn't end up wanting to eat them.
what matters more is that you aren't switching her styles out too frequently, as molting and regrowing those feathers takes a lot of energy. i wouldn't recommend switching the nectar out more than once a month.

Mekayla Bali's disappearance on April 12, 2016, from her hometown of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, has remained a haunting mystery, capturing the attention of both law enforcement and the public. The 16-year-old Canadian was last seen at a local bus stop between 1:00 and 1:45 p.m., sparking a frantic search effort that has yet to yield any definitive leads. The day before her diappearance, she visited the bank to have $25 wired to her account. Later, she texted several friends that she was upset and needed help with something, but no further explanation was provided. The day she went missing was marked by a series of perplexing events, adding layers to the enigma surrounding her case. She texted a friend at around 6:41am asking for a ride to the bank again, but the friend declined since the bank was closed. Her grandmother then drove her to school at around 8:10am. Surveillance cameras showed her putting her binder in her locker and then slipping out the back entrance. She hiked all the way to the bank, where she withdrew $55. She then went to a Wendy's/Tim Horton's restaurant, where, for the next hour or so, she exhibited strange behaviour. Footage shows her disassembling her phone and then reassembling it. Multiple times she left the restaurant, wandered around, and then re-entered. She spent much of her time talking on the phone and texting, including a friend whom she asked for help with something, only to follow it up with ''Nevermind I figured it out''. She also asked a random customer for help with renting a hotel room, but was turned down. At around 11am, she went to the bus stop and asked a stranger when the next stop to Regina would be. Since the bus wasn't going to arrive until 5pm, she left without purchasing a ticket and went back to school for the lunch period, where she met with friends and told them she was planning a trip to Regina. At around 12:03pm, she departed from school and went to a Trail Stop Restaurant, which was attached to a bus stop. She ordered food and left about an hour later. She was never seen by eyewitnesses again, nor was she captured on surveillance footage anywhere. Police were able to confirm she did not get on any bus that day, either. Over the years, various theories have emerged regarding Bali's disappearance, ranging from the possibility of her running away to concerns about human trafficking or falling victim to an online predator. Despite reported sightings and extensive police investigations, including the review of hundreds of hours of surveillance footage and interviews with potential witnesses, Bali's whereabouts remain unknown, leaving her family in agonizing uncertainty.

So I remember reading this book about indigenous belief systems called The Spell of the Sensuous a while back, as part of a class assignment. At the start is an interesting anecdote by the author in which he recalls a visit to Bali, during which he resided at a local's house. He noticed his wife setting out platters of rice outside for the 'spirits', which disappeared. But then he realized, it wasn't 'spirits' taking the rice, but just ants!
At first he chuckles to himself, silly locals! But then he realizes; The ants ARE the spirits! Not in the sense that they're considered as these abstract, magical beings; But that to the locals, there was no distinction between spirits and all of the mundane animals and other facets of the ecosystem. There is no distinction between the ecosystem and humans either, humans are spirits too, etc.
The author realizes; There's a bunch of ant colonies around the house, but no ants inside the house, so how do the locals deal with them? Pesticide? No, they just set out rice platters, which are closer to the colonies than their homes; Thus, it's more convenient for the ants to take rice from the platters, than go inside the locals' homes.
And it's always enough rice to keep them sated, too; By providing routine offerings to the spirits, the humans have reached a mutual relationship with the ants (just as plants and animals do with one another all the time, we are a part of nature too), where the ants mind the humans' territory, in return for food. It was an enlightening revelation, and I myself wonder if this tactic is viable for my own home! It sounds a lot more sustainable than pesticide, and probably cheaper too.
If you're seeing this post in the tags, you're probably wondering what this has to do with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. In the eighth arc Jojolion, there's a scene where a fruit farmer explains to the protagonists that rather than tainting his crops with pesticide to protect them from critters, he instead plants a second, sacrificial crop downhill; This crop, which he puts less effort in, is what the critters keep themselves sated on instead. One crop must die so the other may live... so humans could eat them instead.
Shintoism is a common belief system in Japan; Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a Japanese manga, made by a Japanese mangaka, in Japan for a largely Japanese audience. Shintoism believes in the concept of Kami, which isn't comparable to Gods in say Greek myth; And from my understanding of it, it operates more akin to spirits, like what was mentioned in Bali, with even humans being capable of being considered Kami.
I find it interesting how both ideas are present in different parts of Asia (and probably more places), especially when you consider the Blessings of the Earth theme that Jojolion has. There's definitely an interest in a relationship with the land that's begun in the previous arc Steel Ball Run, which emphasizes land as a major resource; It's a motive for Native American racer Sandman, Dr. Ferdinand rants about paying respects to the land, the Holy Corpse warps the land, etc.
There's also a theme of indigeneity, which involves natives' relationship with the land. The following, ongoing arc is The Jojolands, which also seems concerned with indigeneity in its setting of Hawaii, the Lava Rocks, and the presence of a foreign company; Though I've been behind on a few chapters, so don't bring stuff up from there just yet!
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan had an arc involving the 'Gods of the Mountain', so it's interesting to see how his own cultural background, obviously, influences his work. In particular, I wonder if the Mechanism that Jodio speaks of is related to the concept of everything being part of an interconnected system, hence things like Flow or Calamity, and the emphasis on Luck as an element.
Luck emphasizes a Cause-Effect system, which is an extension of everything being interconnected, which necessitates a cultivating relationship with the land; You put Good stuff in, you get Good stuff out, and the same goes for Bad things. Hence the concept of Karma, hence Stands like Ticket to Ride or Wonder of U. The Lava Rocks are part of the land and influence luck to bring blessings. I'm very curious to see where Araki is planning to go from here...

i sure do love to complain, but my friend once said "you're a hater but they usually deserved it" so i take that to mean i can never be wrong when I'm angry at something.
anyway unlimited death to Australian tourists unlimited explosions on Yankee tourists, these two specifically because we're genuinely the fucking BANE of the asia-pacific region. massive cunts to everyone and everything. unlimited death to gap year cunts who don't even know bali is in Indonesia because they just think it's just "the holiday place".
unlimited death on people who want to "eat where the locals eat" and drive up food prices to tourist levels at places that were previously the only affordable place to like minimum wage brick layers.

Exploring Bali What to Know Before You Go.
Tumblr media
🌴 Exploring Bali: What to Know Before You Go 🌺
Hey wanderlust souls! Planning a trip to the enchanting island of Bali?
Here are some insider tips to make your journey unforgettable
Embrace the Culture: Bali is rich in tradition and spirituality. Respect the local customs, dress modestly when visiting temples, and always greet with a smile and a "Salamat Pagi" (Good Morning) or "Salamat Malam" (Good Evening).
Pack Wisely: Bali’s weather is tropical, so pack lightweight and breathable clothing. Don’t forget your swimsuit for those crystal-clear beaches and waterfalls!
Transportation: While taxis and ride-sharing apps are available, consider renting a scooter to explore the island at your own pace. Just remember to always wear a helmet and drive safely!
Sample the Cuisine: Indulge in the vibrant flavors of Balinese cuisine. From mouthwatering satay skewers to spicy nasi goreng, the local food scene is a feast for the senses.
Mind the Monkeys: Ubud’s Monkey Forest is a must-visit, but be cautious around the mischievous inhabitants. Keep a safe distance and avoid feeding or making direct eye contact with them.
Stay Connected: Bali is well-connected, but Wi-Fi can be spotty in some areas. Consider getting a local SIM card for reliable internet access during your stay.
Stay Eco-Conscious: Respect Bali’s natural beauty by supporting eco-friendly initiatives and avoiding single-use plastics. Remember, we’re all responsible for preserving this paradise!
Explore Beyond the Tourist Hotspots: While Bali’s popular destinations are undeniably breathtaking, don’t be afraid to venture off the beaten path. Discover hidden waterfalls, secluded beaches, and quaint villages for a truly authentic experience.
Stay Safe: Bali is generally safe for travelers, but it’s always wise to exercise caution. Keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas and be mindful of your surroundings, especially at night.
Leave No Trace: Last but not least, leave Bali as beautiful as you found it. Dispose of your waste responsibly and make memories, not souvenirs.
Get ready to embark on a journey of discovery and adventure in Bali! Let the island’s magic captivate your soul and leave you longing for more. 🌺🌴

David Smith at The Guardian:
“Look at me, look at me,” said Martha-Ann Alito. “I’m German, from Germany. My heritage is German. You come after me, I’m gonna give it back to you.” It was a bizarre outburst from the wife of a justice on America’s highest court. Secretly recorded by a liberal activist, Martha-Ann Alito complained about a neighbour’s gay pride flag and expressed a desire to fly a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag in protest. This, along with audio clips of Justice Samuel Alito himself and a stream of ethics violations, have deepened public concerns that the supreme court is playing by its own rules. The Democratic representative Jamie Raskin has described a “national clamour over this crisis of legitimacy” at the court.
A poll last month for the progressive advocacy organisation Stand Up America suggests that the supreme court will now play a crucial role in voters’ choices in the 2024 election. Nearly three in four voters said the selection and confirmation of justices will be an important consideration for them in voting for both president and senator in November. Reed Galen, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, a pro-democracy group, said: “The idea that these guys act as if they are kings ruling from above, to me, should absolutely be an issue. It was always Republicans who said we hate unelected judges legislating from the bench and we hate judicial activism. That’s all this stuff is.” Public trust in the court is at an all-time low amid concerns over bias and corruption. Alito has rejected demands that he recuse himself from a case considering presidential immunity after flags similar to those carried by 6 January 2021 rioters flew over his homes in Virginia and New Jersey. Justice Clarence Thomas has ignored calls to step aside because of the role his wife, Ginni, played in supporting efforts to overturn Donald Trump’s loss to Joe Biden in 2020.
Ethical standards have been under scrutiny following revelations that some justices failed to report luxury trips, including on private jets, and property deals. Last week Thomas, who has come under criticism for failing to disclose gifts from the businessman and Republican donor Harlan Crow, revised his 2019 form to acknowledge he accepted “food and lodging” at a Bali hotel and at a California club. These controversies have been compounded by historic and hugely divisive decisions. The fall of Roe v Wade, ending the nationwide right to abortion after half a century, was seen by many Democrats as a gamechanger in terms of people making a connection between the court and their everyday lives.
There are further signs of the debate moving beyond the Washington bubble. Last week, the editorial board of the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper argued that, since the court’s own ethics code proved toothless, Congress should enact legislation that holds supreme court justices to higher ethical standards. The paper called for the local senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, who is chair of the Senate judiciary committee, to hold a hearing on the issue.
[...] Congressional Democrats have introduced various bills including one to create an independent ethics office and internal investigations counsel within the supreme court. Broader progressive ideas include expanding the number of seats on the court or limiting the justices to 18-year terms rather than lifetime appointments. But such efforts have been repeatedly thwarted by Republicans, who over decades impressed on their base the importance of the court, ultimately leading to a 6-3 conservative majority including three Trump appointees. This week Senate Republicans blocked the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act, legislation that would require the court to adopt a binding code of conduct for all justices, establish procedures to investigate complaints of judicial misconduct and adopt rules to disclose gifts, travel and income received by them that are at least as rigorous as congressional disclosure rules.
Democrats should be aggressive about confronting a runaway radical right-wing majority on SCOTUS and make it a major issue. #SCOTUSisCompromised

Bali, an enchanting island in Indonesia, is renowned for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and, not least, its delectable cuisine. The food scene in Bali offers a unique blend of traditional Indonesian flavors with modern twists, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. Here, we explore some of the best foods Bali has to offer, ranging from street food delights to high-end gourmet experiences.
1. Nasi Campur
Tumblr media
Nasi Campur, meaning "mixed rice," is a quintessential Balinese dish that provides a little taste of everything. Typically served with white rice, this dish includes a variety of side dishes such as vegetables, meats, peanuts, eggs, and fried-shrimp krupuk. The mix often features local specialties like lawar (a traditional mix containing fine chopped meat, grated coconut, and spices) and satay (skewered and grilled meat).
2. Babi Guling
Tumblr media
Babi Guling, or roasted suckling pig, is a traditional Balinese dish often reserved for special occasions but can be found in many restaurants around the island. The pig is stuffed with a combination of spices such as turmeric, coriander seeds, lemongrass, and garlic, and then spit-roasted until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. This dish is a must-try for meat lovers looking to experience authentic Balinese flavors.
3. Bebek Betutu
Tumblr media
Bebek Betutu, or slow-cooked duck, is another traditional dish that showcases the intricate Balinese cooking methods. The duck is marinated with a rich mixture of spices, including ginger, turmeric, garlic, and chili, wrapped in banana leaves, and then cooked slowly for several hours. This process ensures that the meat is incredibly tender and infused with the robust flavors of the spices.
4. Sate Lilit
Sate Lilit is a unique variant of satay that is exclusive to Bali. Unlike typical satay that uses whole meat pieces, sate lilit is made from minced meat, usually fish, mixed with grated coconut, coconut milk, lime leaves, and a blend of local spices. The mixture is then wrapped around bamboo sticks or lemongrass stalks and grilled. The result is a fragrant and flavorful satay that is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
5. Lawar
Lawar is a traditional Balinese salad made from finely chopped vegetables, grated coconut, and minced meat (usually pork or chicken), all mixed with rich herbs and spices. There are several variations of lawar, with some even including blood from the meat for added flavor and authenticity. This dish provides a unique and authentic taste of Balinese cuisine, often enjoyed as part of a larger meal.
6. Nasi Goreng
Nasi Goreng, or Indonesian fried rice, is a popular dish that can be found throughout Bali. This simple yet delicious dish is made by stir-frying rice with garlic, shallots, sweet soy sauce, and a variety of other ingredients such as chicken, prawns, or vegetables. It's often served with a fried egg on top and garnished with slices of cucumber and tomato, creating a satisfying and flavorful meal.
7. Mie Goreng
Mie Goreng is the noodle counterpart to Nasi Goreng and is equally beloved. These stir-fried noodles are cooked with a mix of vegetables, meats, and a sweet-savory sauce, often garnished with a fried egg, prawn crackers, and a wedge of lime. Mie Goreng is a versatile dish that is both comforting and flavorful, making it a favorite among tourists and locals.
8. Pepes Ikan
Pepes Ikan is a traditional dish where fish is marinated with a blend of spices and wrapped in banana leaves before being steamed or grilled. This cooking method infuses the fish with aromatic flavors and keeps it moist and tender. The spices commonly used include turmeric, lemongrass, and chili, which give the dish a vibrant and zesty taste.
9. Balinese Desserts
Balinese cuisine also offers a variety of delightful desserts. One popular sweet treat is Dadar Gulung, a green pancake roll filled with sweet grated coconut and palm sugar. Another favorite is Klepon, glutinous rice cakes filled with palm sugar and coated in grated coconut. These desserts provide a perfect ending to a meal, offering a taste of Bali’s sweet flavors.
Conclusion
Bali’s culinary landscape is as rich and diverse as its culture and scenery. From the savory delights of Babi Guling and Bebek Betutu to the sweet treats like Dadar Gulung, every dish tells a story of tradition, community, and flavor. Whether you’re dining in a high-end restaurant or sampling street food, the flavors of Bali are sure to leave a lasting impression. So, when you visit this paradise island, make sure to indulge in its best foods and savor the true essence of Balinese cuisine.

Generationen.
Day 8. July 11, 2023
Generations. We got up relatively early to bid farewell to Wilson (Nic's father) and Sam (brother). Shortly after, Nic and Webster went for a run in the park. Due to the high humidity, Webster was still sweating even after his shower. Next, we had breakfast with PawPaw (Auntie Emily), Nic's grandmother. We had Kaya toast with soft-boiled eggs. Wilson joined the Kaya fan club, much to Nic's delight, but Webster wasn't the biggest advocate.
For lunch, we went to the Intercontinental Hotel because Julia kindly invited us for a meal. The food was fantastic, absolutely amazing. We particularly enjoyed the bonito fish; it was delicious. We briefly chatted with the chef and then walked to "Arab Street," the corner of Singapore where the so-called "Malays" reside. The Sultan Mosque was open, and we eagerly peeked inside. After that, we had local ice cream and walked to the Formula 1 straight. In September, the famous race takes place here, and spectator stands are already being set up. We then walked to the Merlion fountain, where Wilson took the obligatory tourist photo, and we picked up chicken for dinner. There was a pork dish, a Filipino eggplant dish, and our chicken wings, accompanied by wine. Julia bid farewell after dinner and took a taxi to the airport - it truly was a beautiful, unexpected, and memorable stay in Singapore with her. Thank you for enduring our dry humor and silliness! Julia, have a safe onward journey to Australia (study abroad semester), and to all of you, have a good night! Tomorrow, we're heading to Indonesia, specifically Bali.
