Congratulations on the followers! Or, well... congrats to them for following someone awesome. XD
A prompt: Link (any of em), a butterfly, and "I could never think that about you."
It was a quiet evening in the royal gardens. Sonia was playing with her brother in the distance, allowing Link a moment to simply relax and smile and watch them. It was... nice. Peaceful. He hadn't seen his children in two days, with as worn thin as he'd felt lately. He'd hated himself for not simply dragging his pathetic self out of bed, but instead, Lady Impa had checked in on him and finally convinced him to leave his room after a couple days. He was thankful for it, and ashamed it took her help to get him here.
Movement caught his attention, and his gaze settled on a nearby flower. A butterfly was landing on it, wings gently moving back and forth as it balanced on the petals. It was lilac in color, with red markings on its delicate wings. One of the rarer breeds, only seen in Kakariko until they were introduced to the gardens. It reminded him of home from long, long ago.
He wondered how and why they had been brought here.
When he heard footsteps behind him, he glanced quickly, tensing, recognizing the cadence of the steps, the swishing of a skirt along the grass.
Zelda moved carefully, perching herself on the space beside him on the bench. Neither said anything for a while, listening to the laughter of their children.
Surprisingly, Link broke the silence first. "I thought you had a banquet you had to attend."
"It's in honor of the veterans of the war," Zelda answered. "I thought it best that you be there as well."
So what, you're here to retrieve me? Order me to go?
"Besides," Zelda continued, glancing at him almost worriedly. "That isn't for two days, remember?"
Oh. Was it? It wasn't as if Link knew what day it was anymore. Not really. They all blended together. His measurement of time was based on meetings with Impa or the royal scientists about progress on the Sheikah and their affairs. He'd only just started trying to get more involved with it, and it was... exhausting. But he was trying. Aside from that, all his time was spent with the children.
When I'm not being a useless lump, that is.
Link hummed to acknowledge the queen, but he didn't bother making eye contact. This conversation was becoming draining quickly. What did Zelda want?
"Link."
Feeling annoyance grow in his chest, Link sighed and closed his eyes a moment before looking at her. Zelda's face was neutral, the previous worry gone. She was searching for something in his gaze. It was a familiar expression, one he often saw in the throne room.
What was she looking for, he wondered? She definitely wanted something out of him. Zelda never spoke to him or came to him unless she wanted something.
"I..." the queen was strangely hesitant with her words, and that did garner his attention. "I know... I know that you hate me. That you think I'm a monster. But I... am thankful for your help. For everything you've done."
...Wait, what?
Where had--what?
Where had this even come from?! Why was she--what??
"Are you well?" Link asked abruptly, turning a bit to face her more fully.
Zelda's expression grew sincerely puzzled at his remark, and then somehow became somber before she sighed and tried to look calm again. "I--yes. I'm fine."
This had to be a trick, right? Why was--she never thanked him for anything. Or, well, she'd thanked him during the war plenty of times. They'd been friends then. But ever since their marriage, requests and petitions became orders, gratitude became expectations. Link was just someone for her to utilize. He knew that. They both did.
What was this all about?
His stomach churned uncomfortably, guilt gnawing through the biting frost of resentment. His words lodged in his throat as his mind and heart fought for the right thing to say in this situation, distrust and concern mixing in a confusing concoction that poisoned his ability to speak.
Eventually, Zelda rose, a little less gracefully than she usually would. Link reached out, his hand grabbing hers to stop her from leaving, catching both of them off guard.
"Your Majesty," he automatically said as a placeholder, a means of trying to fight the mental block stopping him from speaking. What did he even want to say? What could he say to that? "I..."
The guilt won out, or perhaps some desperate desire to be acknowledged. He didn't know if this was compassion or simply him being pathetic, a positive response to a positive remark. But... still... "Zelda... I could never think that about you."
The queen glanced at him, eyes a little wider, perhaps even caught off guard.
Did she truly believe he thought she was a monster? He'd met monsters. Zelda was no Ganondorf, nor Ozen. She... she was just...
She was just doing what she thought was best.
"Monsters are selfish," Link continued. "You're trying to take care of Hyrule. I... I respect that."
Despite whatever anger and bitterness he held toward her, he could at least say those words genuinely. They were true. It was part of the reason he'd agreed to marry her, whether he loved her or not. They'd both wanted what was best for Hyrule, what was best for the Gerudo, what was best for those they did love dearly. And if they had to sacrifice their happiness for it, they were willing to do so.
Sacrifice. Zelda was willing to sacrifice for others. She was willing to sacrifice everything.
"You're my queen," he said quietly. "And you... always will be."
The queen, whose words held all the power in the world, was speechless. As the two monarchs stared at each other, hurt and brokenness a chasm between them, the lilac butterfly flew between them, carrying that last vestige of home with it into the darkening night sky as their daughter ran over to greet them.

OL EUA YUGQ G XGOYOT OT MXGVK PAOIK, OZ ZAXTY OTZU G MXGVK. NGVVE NGRRUCKKT! 🎃⚠️
(costume talk and yapping under the cut)
starting from back to the front:
stan and ford are handing out candy this year, stan dressed in his vampire costume and planning to scare kids and ford is wearing a mabel (turtleneck!) pumpkin sweater, about as festive as he's willing to dress up this year. ford was originally planning to hole himself up in his lab and work on data analysis or whatever nerd shit he has going on but stan invites him to help scare the hell out of kids. ford declines initially, better things to do, but after checking to see how stan's doing (badly), ford decides to help by bursting out of the bushes with a glowing laser gun, face cloaked in shadow. it's more fun than he expects or admits and he eventually fully joins stan.
soos and melody are trick or treating in a couple costume, soos as zelda and melody as link. melody wanted to cosplay link for awhile and you cannot convince me soos wouldn't jump at the chance to dress up as a badass anime elf princess who can fire lasers.
mabel, pacifica, and waddles are dressed as utena, anthy, and chu chu respectively. i have a headcanon that post working at the diner and slowly getting used to normal kid things, pacifica discovers anime. specifically shojo princess anime. she finds utena and loses her mind over it in private, with mabel eventually breaking down her walls and getting her to admit to the sin of liking anime. mabel gets pacifica to show her her favorites and mabel immediately insists they need to cosplay as utena and anthy for halloween, pacifica is a princess after all! (said in jest, but baby gay panic ensues on pacifica's end. mabel is pretty oblivious to her plight and doesn't realize why being pacifica's knight makes her feel so giddy until later on.)
dipper sees pacifica joining mabel as an excuse to flake out on trick or treating without being a total jerk, especially since they'll be joined by candy and grenda later. i know he's working on not trying to grow up too fast by the end of the series, but kids and teens are full of anxiety and doubts and i figure he would be pretty awkward about a lot of things still, even after learning otherwise. wirt doesn't want to dress up since the previous halloween ended with him in the unknown then waking up in the hospital, but greg still wants to go trick or treating. dipper tags along to help babysit greg despite it not really being necessary, wirt's just glad to have someone to chat with while he takes greg, especially someone who doesn't leap to finding him strange. greg is going as a ghost elephant and wirt assumes it's just the weird kid tradition of layering costumes over the years, but greg's logic is that he "died" as an elephant last year so now the elephant is a ghost. if wirt heard this he would probably end up freaked out, but kids are often more aware of things than expected. dipper is wearing wendy's hat since she traded with him at the end of the series.
putting wirt and greg in there could feel a little random, but these are my two favorite shows to watch during autumn and i associate them with each other. plus, it's otgw's ten year anniversary and it's so perfectly halloween, i think it makes enough sense to put them together. idk i love joy and whimsy, i am cringe and i am free.
i initally wanted to include other characters, candy, grenda, and wendy for sure but i was also considering coraline, wybie, and norman. felt way too complicated so maybe i'll draw something with those characters some other time.

THE LITTLE LEGENDS
This is a blog for sharing and spreading love for the smaller Zelda games in the fandom!
For everyone crying over Spirit Tracks being forgotten, to people who wish someone else remembered the struggle to find a fourth player for Four Swords or sobbing at the end of online co-op for Tri Force Heroes – this is a home to join others in that love. Mainline and third-party Zelda games are all included!
The criteria for which Zelda games count as “small” is hard to quantify. To make things easier, we went by the numbers posted to Archive of Our Own, which has the option to disambiguate which game you’re writing for and is the current best-known fanfiction site. From there, we removed some things to try and narrow it down to core game fics and picked everything that was under 1000 works.
The resulting list of Zelda games is as follows:
CDI games = 14
Zelda cartoon = 29
Cadence of Hyrule = 50
Tri Force Heroes = 51
Oracle of Seasons = 76
Oracle of Ages = 85
Zelda II: Adventure of Link = 93
Zelda (1986) = 180
Spirit Tracks = 183
Phantom Hourglass = 191
Link’s Awakening = 256
Link to the Past = 260
Minish Cap = 290
Four Swords = 359
Four Swords Adventures = 423
A Link Between Worlds = 587
Wind Waker = 739
Some of this will be a case of poor tagging, and things winding up in the wrong place. (eg. Four Swords has 1200 entries, but upon removing all Four Swords Adventures or Manga story tags it reduces to 359.) Others may not be here at all because nobody has posted it under it’s own name vs a related game or “& Related Fandoms.”
While this means these numbers are not absolute, they still represent the problem: it’s hard to find content for your favourite games if it's in the list above, and we want to fix that!
WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL?
The event we’re planning is very chill, very low-stakes way of building up interest and knowledge, and then collecting and sharing fanworks produced.
The event month will be AUGUST, 2024.
Every few days in August we’ll make a post for each game on the list (and any bonus games that were highlighted alongside the main ones), which people can reblog with a link to the fanwork they created! You can also make your own posts and tag the blog plus the game of the day but we cannot promise to see and reblog everything.
In the lead-up to August, we will be doing round-up posts for each of the above games.
Some will be doubled up and treated as “bonuses” due to their small pool of fans (CDI, the Cartoon), and if there are some we don’t know about we may take them on as suggestions!
Each of these initial game posts will include basic stats about the game: when they were released, on what hardware, where you can find them now, and what their story was. It will also include links to a walkthrough or two, for those without access to the necessary hardware.
The purpose of these posts is to be shared!
Reblog them with your favourite artwork, current fanworks you love and adore, your favourite AU they’re featured in! Share the lore you wish everyone knew, and the characters who get forgotten!
Share prompts you’ve never gotten around to using, or ones you don’t feel competent to handle!
Do not feel bad about doing this! Every exchange or event I’ve been in, people desperately wanted prompts and ideas to spark their own imagination!
The goal is for people to learn more about games that they may have never heard of before, or not had the time or ability to engage with in full on their own. And from there we can push up those numbers on AO3 for everyone to enjoy!
The scheduled games to be “main” features of this event, and their respective introductory dates, are as follows:
May 5th = Minish Cap
May 12th = Zelda II: AoL
May 19th = Oracle of Ages / Oracle of Seasons
May 26th = Cadence of Hyrule
June 2nd = Phantom Hourglass
June 9th = Four Swords Adventures / Four Swords [Game]
June 16th = Link’s Awakening
June 23rd = Zelda (1986)
June 30th = Link to the Past
July 7th = Tri Force Heroes
July 14th = Spirit Tracks
July 21st = Link Between Worlds
July 28th = Wind Waker
Exact dates for the posting schedule of new fanworks in August will be released soon!

Links Meet Zeldas AU
4 am brain is 4 am brain-ing
I had an idea, and yes, that's probably not the best of things for me to be doing, but this head never stops spinning in all honesty.
Anyways! Remember how JoJo said (in the podcast) that we're doubling the cast eventually? Well, ever since that, I've had this vague notion that it would be fun to write a fic featuring all the Links and Zeldas meeting. Except, you know, for the part where that's ten whole new characters to familiarize myself with, and trying to work out all the dynamics at once with that many characters would be a nightmare.
But then it hit me: they don't have to be all at once!
Hear me out!
A major battle with the shadow, the boys are beaten down and bloody, but still pressing on. The shadow is also weakened in some way, it's not got that much longer, and while nobody's really winning, it is coming very close to losing. So, it creates a portal, jumping through.
The boys follow.
FSA style, none of them end up in the same location, but rather, scattered to the Four Winds (so to speak) in different eras of Hyrule, but none of them in their own. Shenanigans ensue as they try to either a.) fine their way home, b.) find the chain, or c.) find the shadow and defeat it. Over the course of said shenanigans, they each run into the Zelda(s) of that era, whom then decide to join them to get them home and help defeat the evil.
What's really fun to me about this idea though is that it gives me a chance to indulge in my "downfall princesses are badasses" hc. You all know I adore Scary Fable, but Feral-Cat Dawn also has a special place in my heart. Imagining the other heroes meeting a downfall princess for the first time is pure gold to me, especially without her respective hero there to explain why she's Like That, or help in some way.
Just- a fic focusing on random pairings of Links and Zeldas all trying to find each other across space and time.
And what solidified it for me? The name flying into my head
"How I Met Your Princess"
Yes, I'm hilarious, feel free to applaud LOL

HI I’M PEDIA, MASTERPOST DOWN BELOW BUT HOLD ON REALLY QUICK READ MY FAQ:
Boundaries on reposting, dubbing, and pfp’s?
Please ask for permission in my messages/inbox before reposting my work or dubbing it! PFP’s don’t need permission, just include credit in bio please. Most likely I’ll be ok with it so please don’t be shy! it’s just a boundary I like having respected. Also cmon girl if you make a dub of my work I want to see🥺
Are drawing requests open?
Yes BUT no guarantees I will accept it, though I would reccomend going for it anyways! The main reason is because I’m so busy I don’t often have time to do requests as much as I wish I did. Once in a blue moon I’m able to doodle some though! Also wouldn’t reccomend oc’s or au’s, it’s a bit difficult for me to do either of those things, I’m sorry. Non-utdr requests are also cool but send it to @squidpedias-fanart , this place is where i draw utdr stuff specifically. I post all my other fanart like splatoon, zelda, or lmk over there
I sent you an ask a while ago/tagged you in a post but you never responded, did I upset you somehow?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO I’M JUST AWFUL AT RESPONDING TO ASKSSS OR TEND TO MISS A LOT OF NOTIFICATIONS I’M SORRYYYYYY YOUREE FINEEEEEE. ITS YOU AND LIKE 140 OTHER PEOPLE I PROMMY IM JUST TERRIBLE. don’t be afraid to rb it and tag me in the rb again, sorry for that!
I liked this drawing concept you made. Can I make fanart, redraw it in my style, or make something inspired by it?
YEAH!!!! Flattered and happy I inspired you in that way!! Just 1) tag and credit me, because I would be so sad if I didn’t see and would love love love to rb it and 2) if it’s a redraw, try to link back to original post if possible (but I forget to mention that a lot so that second part isn’t as big of a deal)
What about writing fics?
A FEW OF YOU ARE WILD FOR THAT BUT YEAH GO OFF. Still let me know, give credit, tag me if possible, and check out this other post I made too regarding fic writing and overall boundaries about my fallen kid oc’s. If you still have questions after reading that and there’s anything I didn’t go over, reach out and ask in my inbox or dm’s! I’d be happy to elaborate on anything!
What other socials do you have?
I have a Youtube, Twitter, Bluesky, and a Switch (SW-2670-2211-5056) (thats not a social but you should friend me on there anyways and crash my splatoon lobbies lmao).
Do you have any oc’s or personal works?
@an-unconscious-effort-comic and @dragontry-comic (neither stories are connected to each other and are their own projects)
Pronouns?
Please refer to Frisk, Chara, Kris, and any of my fallen human designs with they/them strictly here (or Chara by they/it) (This includes Lilac - and sidenote i am working on a post regarding boundaries for my fallen human designs should you want to use them in any personal works, I’ll be back with that another time but thank you for having an interest in them, they’re dear to me and I’m glad if you like them too). Clover also uses they/them my take too (well they/she actually but I usually just refer to her by they they/them in posts because,,,,,nervous)
Oh wait you meant me. Any👍

AU TAGS:
#Happily Ever After and Then Some -> everyone lives au including chara, flowey/asriel, fallen kids, where i don’t offer any sort of explanations for how because it simply makes me really self-conscious to try to come up with reasoning and really i just want to imagine these characters in fun and interesting scenarios. Theyre all alive, just go with it and have fun.
(It doesn’t really have any posted content to it’s name yet,,,other than maybe revived clover au content ig,,,and im just not even sure how hard i’ll commit??? But i think and doodle about it often enough to justify it being mentioned for now. i think)
#Phantom integrity au -> someone sent an ask once about what if clover’s narrator was integrity. It’s a fun idea to explore and where I got the concept of Lilac’s design for! It’s not something I think about very often plotwise but I like drawing ghosty lilac
#old talking tag that im too lazy to get rid of ->#pedia says stuff#i guess we doin new talking tag now ->#moth talk#pedias art#duke

Why does no one ever talk about how truly superior princess x dragon ships are???
Like hello?? THE MUTUAL RESPECT FOR THE OTHERS STRENGTH AND NEED TO PROTECT EACH OTHER!?
Do I even have to explain why Nalu is here?
Honorary dark dragon Hak and Yona! They make me wanna cry…
THE WAY THESE TWO BITCHES YERN FOR EACHOTHET!
And honorable mention ToTK Zelink (only bc Zelda would be both princess and dragon, maybe Link is the princess?? Idk)
There’s just something about the unconventional functionality of it! The way the dragon will always guard(protect) the princess and the way the princess will always admire the dragons strength, while also wanting to help the dragon that gets to me..
Also, if anyone can think of anymore pls lmk!!

I finally did the thing I’ve been threatening to do for ages. I drew a quaint little infographic for the LU/LoZ timeline. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I am *not* affiliated with jojo, the original creator of the Linked Universe. This is not guaranteed to be LU accurate. I do not have access to her plans.
What I do have is a decade and a half of Zelda headcanons and a finished file of nearly every Zelda game.
I love jojo’s AU precisely because it fits so well with canon, while making some very fitting changes. This is a tiny humble tribute to LU, the fandom, and the LoZ franchise. I hope this helps at least one person write even more amazing fics and draw even more amazing art. I’m looking forward to it <3.
Key:
Each blue circle is a game
The circles that intersect directly with their corresponding Link’s icon are the ones that are canonically attributed to that Link
The circles that are close to a Link’s icon without intersecting are canonically different Links, but the same Link in LU
The white numbers are their release order, counting the game’s first release.
Notes:
Legend’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th games are interchangeable in order, as long as the Oracle games remain adjacent. The order there is my preference.
FSA is on this diagram twice. It is canonically after TP, but I think it makes way more sense in LU to place it after FS so I’ve placed it there as well. I hypothesize— you guessed it— more time shenanigans.
Warriors’ game isn’t canon, but afaik most LU fans (myself included) believe it was the catalyst for the timeline convergence. I’ve seen other interesting interpretations for the convergence as well though.
Spirit Tracks is a special case, because unlike Legend and Four with their respective merge games, Wind has never shown signs of being from ST. I’ve given ST to Wind in this diagram, but I personally like to believe Spirit is his own hero, and he’s just not on the journey due to geographic differences— he’s the only hero who has never saved Hyrule proper, so he’s technically not a Hero of Hyrule.
Let me know if you see anything I might have gotten wrong, or any differing headcanons you might have, in the comments! I’m down to hear it!
Edit: You can now get stickers and pins of these little Link icons over here at Redbubble! Is that okay? I hope that’s okay.
Triple Sticker Sets: here, here, and here
Individual Stickers/Pins: here

(Some of his skin is black so clicking on the picture might be a better ideas-)
SO UM THIS IS MY GUY HIS NAME IS MAYAN
He’s a god actually and the god of companions and birds and stars too
He’s also the Father of the first fairies
Naturally, he’s Hylia’s brother as well as being Fierce’s brother too as well as the golden three. Can’t decide if he’s older or younger than them
I like to say that he was the reason the hero’s weren’t alone before they met their respective Zeldas
Like, Hylia was forging the Goddess Sword and Mayan was like, “You’re going to send a boy out to fight our brother, Demise, and have him alone the entire time other than whatever else you’re planning?”
Hylia was like, “You’re probably right. What do you suppose I do?”
Mayan: “Give him a guide. That way he isn’t burdened with this fate alone.”
That’s how Fi happened. And then, in most reincarnations, Link has a companion.
Midna wasn’t really his fault, but he was able to convince her to work with Link in anyway she could because they would both need each other in the end.
The reason why Link didn’t really have someone in botw is because people didn’t really worship him much, so he lacked much power. So, with the little power he had left, he staked King Rhoam’s spirit to the Great Plateau so that he might be able to help even for a little bit. Mayan let go of Rhoam’s soul after Rhoam explained everything to Link.
He makes his home in the midst of the Lost Woods, forever keeping his children safe by the fog surrounding and only letting those who deserve it to survive their trip to the “cursed” forest.
Or he’s in a cave in Satori Mountain, chilling with blupees. I also have this thing where blupees are a type of fairy. So that being said, blupees would technically be his descendants too.
He also rarely visits his daughters, the Great Fairies, but when he does, he’s there for days and many Hylians call them “Spottings” but he doesn’t care too much.
He also has a hawk that follows him, as it is the closest surviving animal to his original symbol, the Loftwing. He laughs sometimes when he sees that the Hylians used a Loftwing crest to represent his sister.
So yeah, here he is to the 8 people that cared<3
@trippygalaxy @vio-starzz @whiteperle3 @lunawolfiefoxy @mushr0oms-and-m0ss @thenmichael @shadowlinktheshadow @soniayonce @isasan347 @treasure-goblin um I don’t know who voted so I’m just guessing here

Violet, Blue, and Bruised All Over: The Shame
Part 1/ Part 2/ Part 3/ Part 4 Click for the link <3 Reblogs/comments appreciated <3
Green had a busy day. The sort of busy day that made you feel as though there was a hunted bird inside your head that was constantly flittering about and crashing into your skull.
You had to pretend everything was fine, ignore the feeling of your skin itself tensing to block out all the sensations as you went from task to task and person to person. Hide any annoyance or ire or anything that would make people lose faith in him. If the people didn't have faith or respect in him as a knight then he wouldn't be able to help anyone.
All he wanted to do was head home with Red, eat a hopefully not totally burnt dinner, and lay in the quiet darkness of his room until he was taken into the realm of dreams.
The crashes and yelling from the other side of the front door wasn't promising. He and Red rushed forward, and then pushed Red to the side (he'd express his sorry at a later time) in order to frantically scramble to open the old janky lock with his key-
Heart beating, mind even more frantic and whirling than all day had been- He forced the door open and forced himself to breathe and take everything in.
Any fears of some assassin, burglar, freakish monster spawning, medical issue, or feral racoon are immediately cut off by pure piercing biting cold striking him to his core. His heart has sank to his stomach. His mind is near silent. The only sound heard in the outside world is heaving ragged breaths.
Broken glass and pottery lay scattered on the floor. His shoulders fall. Droplets of blood shine against the floorboards. His heart constricts and expands all at once. Heavy twin thunks echo through their home. Green's fingers and eye twitches all on their own. Two familiar, near identical caught blank faces freeze.
Green is going to kill them.
"I am going to give you both five. Seconds. To give me, a good explanation," Green manages to force out, somehow emphasis on every letter.
Red tries to interject, trying to calm whatever is going to happen, placing a firm yet nervously shaking hand on his shoulder. Green shoves it off, as gently as he can despite the utter rage he feels coursing through him.
Green doesn't get mad often, he really doesn't. Sure, he could be annoyed and frustrated. Sure, he took matters into his own hands when the others pushed things too far. He goes out with his threats when he's upset, hide their items, ruin their plans, force them to do the things they hate the most. Even guilt them. Anything with a touch of irony to really teach the lesson, all with a smug grin on his face and a glorious pun or two. And a disappointed face that would immediately make them crumble. Enjoyable, efficient, and kind at the end of the day. This wasn't one of those days.
He wasn't upset. He was furious.
Blue and Vio instantly glanced towards each other for a split second, apprehension and alarm clear on both of their faces.
They mirrored each other's silence as they both turned to Green.
"IT'S HIS FAULT-" "THAT NERD-"
"ᴳʳᵉᵉⁿ, ᴮˡᵘᵉ ʷᵃˢ⁻"
"SHUT IT."
The roar was deafening.
A sob broke out from behind him. Red managed to wriggle his way into the house from where Green was still blocking the doorway.
"Hylia- You guys are all hurt! And- Is that my FAVORITE MUG? I madE THAT WITH ZELDA!"
The small outburst ended with Red's voice cracking until he hopelessly pawed against his flushed face, failing to stop the tears.
Blue and Vio meekly winced and began to intensely study the dirty floorboards as crimson began to join the colors on their bruised skin.
They both had a hand in knocking it over by accident. It'd been collateral damage.
Green pushes himself to take in a l o n g deep breath. Both boys are dragged by the ear despite their indignant protests and their squashed egos. Good.
Red's never liked fights and the tension is unbearable, he quickly excuses himself to hurry for the medical care box upstairs. Blue and Vio are sat on the couch, despite the disarray surrounding them.
With the adrenaline winding down the shame could now properly eat at them both. Extremely and obviously agonizingly for the two more prideful of the Links.
Blue's hunched over, hands grasping his knees with tense shoulders and clearly attempting to not look small as his withers into a tiny ball of shame and avoid any eye contact. Vio is still, eyes trained forward staring a hole into the wall, his face perfectly neutral and strict. Nearly a statue. Not a trace of emotion.
Unless you counted the swelling bruise on his head. Or the blood on his lip?? Was that from a bruised lip that hadn't swelled yet or-
Green couldn't do this. But he had to. So. He. Did.
He smiled, so wide and sharp that it really highlighted the gorgeous look of death and murder in his eyes.
"First of all," He starts, " I am, and perhaps you didn't notice, very tired. Exhausted really. I've had a HORRIBLE DAY." The last bit loses the infuriated sarcasm as he slams his fists into the coffee table.
"And THEN," he's gritting his teeth, a perfect image of barely restrained control, "I came home. Expecting, maybe by some miracle of Farore, that you two might be capable of making a somewhat edible dinner without killing each other!?"
Green 'rests' his chin on his clenched fists, leaning over entirely too close, "You know what I found? I Found This. Both of you, supposed- SUPPOSED KNIGHTED HEROES OF HYRULE-" Green stands, "FIGHTING LIKE A BUNCH OF MOBLINS OVER ROTTEN SCRAPS OF MEAT?!"
Green sits, head hanging low, the disappointment is suffocating. Blue swallows against his will. He's warm. Burning even. Sticky sweat drips down his neck. He hated how stupidly efficient and good at this Green was. And how it felt so targeted at just him for some reason. He hated feeling all weak and pathetic and childish.
"Who wants to explain?"
Now it was only a matter of who broke the silence first. It could mean influencing the perspective, to get Green's good grace, or facing the storm and facing the full ire of Green's righteous fury.
Next part will be posted tonight or tomorrow lol. It's very fun <3 <3 sorry that this was mostly buildup instead of the sillies but to the buildup is important!!!

I forget how to send asks so I hope this is the place
Who goes to who for advice or just to get things off their chest? Is there someone each wouldn’t go to for advice? Do they all go to Zelda? Like maybe blue wouldn’t go to Zelda for certain things/ all the time cuz idk maybe he wouldn’t want her to know he’s struggling with something? (even though we all know, she already knows when something’s up with her links)
This was sent in by @saltyskychild as a submission and idk how to answer other than editing so my answer below the cut!!!
Gonna start with a list of who goes to who for advice the most and the least!
Green:
Zelda - literally for everything, she knows all his secrets and he knows hers
Blue - to confide in, if he needs a shoulder to lean or cry on and Zelda isn’t available he knows Blue will have his back (and also beat up whatever made him upset)
Vio - for a practical response, he trust Vio and he knows that if he’s lost as to what to do then Vio will have an answer for him
Red - also for emotional support, but he can be a little reluctant because he hates that if he goes to vent and starts crying then Red will cry too and he hates making Red cry
Shadow - don’t get me wrong Green cares for Shadow a whole lot but he knows Shadow doesn’t understand his own feelings most of the time so he doesn’t want to burden Shadow with his own
Red:
Vio - Red often goes to Vio first to find a way to just rant without having to put his thoughts in order, Vio just lets him get it out before helping him sort it all out
Blue - Red LOVES Blue, but he hesitates to confide in him at times because he worries Blue will get a tad too protective and go straight to punching whoever made him sad. He IS Red’s first option when he needs optimal comfort though, like if he feels he needs a hug he will run to Blue (Blue gives the best hugs fight me)
Shadow - mostly to gossip LMFAO, Shadow also gives great hugs and always offers to kill anyone for him, Red has yet to take him up on the offer
Green - Red loves going to Green for comfort, he always listens intently and waits until he’s done to give him his input much like Vio does, Red just hates burdening him because Green is always so busy
Zelda - same as Green, hates burdening her but trusts her 100%, crying on her shoulder is a healing experience
Blue:
Red - Blue knows he can always go to Red, it’s always hard to get him to open up because of his pride but when he does open up it’s always to Red first. He knows Red would never judge him for being vulnerable so when it’s time to break down he only wants Red to see him
Green - Green is Blue’s closest friend, he trusts Green to always keep his secrets and give sound advice, but Green is also going to be his King soon and that makes him want to be even stronger so he can always keep Green safe from inevitable threats
Zelda - Blue has an immense respect for Zelda, as his friend, as a ruler, and as a person overall; he watched her rule her kingdom from a young age and keep the peace all six of them fought hard for. However as his queen he’s sworn loyalty to he tries not to bother her, keeps a respectable distance that Zelda herself tries to narrow
Vio - Blue and Vio’s relationship can seem complicated from an outsiders perspective, they poke and prod, they tease, but as they’ve grown and matured they’ve each learned when its ok to make fun and when you need to back off (it took a lot of trial and error throughout the years trust). Much like the others if Blue needs an answer to a question he will go to Vio, but it’s hard for him to open up emotionally to him because Vio always seems to kept together and he doesn’t want to fall behind
Shadow - to Blue Shadow is super fun to be around, they used to get into a lot of mischief together when they were younger and although they’ve matured a lot they find trouble one way or another. They’re both good friends, but Blue and Shadow are the masters of bottling things up so you won’t catch them having a heart to heart very often
Vio:
Shadow - the love of his life, Shadow knows things about Vio that Vio himself wishes weren’t true. Shadow sometimes understands what Vio needs before he even says it; and Vio doesn’t cry often but the times he has it’s been with Shadow there to put him back together
Red - Red is a great confidant, and Vio’s best friend, and although Vio considers himself the smartest in the group he knows Red has him beat in emotional intelligence, so when it’s his turn to be vulnerable (which he hates) Red helps him prepare for it
Zelda - Vio loves Zelda’s company, she’s smart and witty, yet completely honest with him; in Zelda’s rare free time they’ll sit and have tea together and talk about anything and everything. Vio would never admit it but Zelda is the funniest person he knows (he doesn’t want to hurt Shadow’s feelings)
Green - Vio trusts Green wholeheartedly, he’d put his life in Green’s hands in a heartbeat, but Vio doesn’t like how Green tends to hover so he hesitates to show any distress around him
Blue - as mentioned before Vio and Blue’s relationship is complicated, Vio doesn’t like showing vulnerability around Blue because he knows it makes Blue feel awkward seeing him as anything less than perfectly kept together. However not to say Blue wouldn’t be there for him, he would, they both would, but they try to keep strong in front of each other, it gives them a sense of normalcy and security they often need
Shadow:
Vio - just like it is vice versa, Vio often knows that Shadow is feeling down or overwhelmed before he himself knows, and although Shadow thought he would hate that he doesn’t. Vio is the one who taught him how to feel more than just anger and scorn, Vio gave him his first real laugh of joy, his first tears of sorrow and heartbreak, and even after all that Vio made up for it and taught him that he was able to feel all of that because he was in love. There’s no secrets between them
Zelda - to many people’s surprise Zelda is Shadow’s best friend, when he was first brought back he gravitated towards her, wanting to repay her for making him realize he wasn’t just a puppet of darkness but his own person. She took his emotions in stride and alongside Vio taught him so much about what he feels, so he confides everything to her
Red - Shadow and Red are very close, when Shadow needs a laugh or a smile he’ll rush to Red, he always has kind words for Shadow no matter what, confiding in his isn’t as easy as it is with Vio and Zelda but Red has always understood that and it helps put Shadow at ease. Again they gossip a lot together
Green - Shadow doesn’t go to Green often, much like Vio he doesn’t want him to overly worry and hover, but while he isn’t Shadow’s first option, he always brings a sense of belonging that means a lot to him
Blue - like mentioned earlier Shadow and Blue are masters if bottling things up, most of the time when Shadow goes to Blue it goes “hey this person made Red/Vio/Green/Zelda sad wanna go beat them up together?”
Zelda:
Green - that’s her soulmate, her other half; Green knows Zelda’s deepest fears and worries that she can’t allow herself to share with anyone else. He knows of her visions of the future and her past lives, of how much past wars haunt her, and he holds her through it all, when he proposed he promised to always keep her and her people safe, he would always be a hero worthy of her
Shadow - Zelda loves Shadow, you’d think she’d be scared of him given he was once her kidnapper, but as she’s always said “I wasn’t scared of you then and I’m not scared of you now”. Shadow is only slightly disappointed, but loves how she’ll ask for him when she’s overwhelmed, saying she needs someone who won’t try to sugarcoat anything from her. Zelda knows Shadow would move mountains for her and she would do the same
Vio - Zelda made Vio one of her advisors early on, she values not only his practical knowledge but his resourcefulness as well, they’ve spent many a late night pouring over documents together and its led to deep conversations. Vio takes as much workload off her shoulders as he legally can and she in turn forces him to take breaks
Red - Red is the little brother Zelda always wanted, as a single child who had to grow up too fast having someone so kind and fun to be around is something she cherishes so deeply. When she needs a hug she’ll seek him out, she knows she’ll always leave an encounter with Red with a smile on her face
Blue - Zelda knows she can trust all her boys with her life, and Blue is no exception, they don’t often confide in each other, but let’s just say that after a certain encounter that leaves Green in a terrible state Zelda learns Blue is not as cold hearted as she feared he was, and she’s made an effort to break down his walls. No knight should have to face monsters on their own, wether they be external or internal
So long story short these six idiots all love each other, but as you could have guessed they have certain people they go to for certain worries/situations. I can’t wait to share more on their relationships with one another!

Yandere Link x Reader x Yandere Mipha Headcanons
Virgin Link x Reader x Zelda love triangle - Obvious ship is obvious, has been done a thousand times before, we all know the dynamic
Chad Link x Reader x Mipha love triangle - Rarely if ever explored, has more room for interpretation, involves THE superior ship of all time
I think we all know which one is better. (/j because I love the Link and Zelda triangle too)
Pretty much every yandere LOZ writer that I've seen has agreed that BOTW Link and Zelda would not be able to work together. At least not when they first met each other. And I totally agree. They're forced to spend time together nearly 24/7 by King Rhoam, which means they're also forced to share you, and that'll create tension. But Link and Mipha? They would definitely have an alliance.
Their alliance is based on two factors. One: They share the same goal of wanting to give you the best life possible. Zelda uses you more as a coping mechanism, and even though Link does that too, he's especially focused on making sure that you're safe. Mipha desires the same, as well as making you happy.
Two: Although Mipha is obsessed with you and priortizes your needs over Link's, she still admires him as a person. She knows how useful he can be. Link respects her as well. Not quite as much, but just enough to accept her into your life and let her help give you everything you want.
In result, these two work together scarily well, even better than Link ever would with Zelda. They never had past resentment towards each other, and unlike Zelda who can be strongly adamant, Mipha would let Link take the lead and make big decisions.
That... isn't always a good thing. Link is willing to do anything to protect you, even if it includes doing things that would make you hate him. Mipha is aware of this, but she thinks Link is more capable of ensuring your safety than she is, so she'll likely remain silent. But that also means that they have less disagreements, making their alliance even more powerful.
If you allow them to, they'll spoil you rotten. Mipha uses her royalty riches to purchase anything your heart desires, and Zora's Dormain is basically your playground. You've got just as much power there as she does in some ways. Because of that, this is the place where they'll keep you.
Link is also putting in work. He'll use his skills as an adventurer to do multiple things in your name, like bringing back rare items from his travels or cooking your favorite foods. If you ever begin a sentence with "I want" then expect Mipha to drop everything just to hear you out. She'll tell Link about it and he'll run off at the speed of light to get whatever it is that you requested.
Outside of that, the time you spend together as a group is generally quiet. They're both introverted and they would rather watch you do your own thing instead of talking all the time. Just being in your presence is enough to give them peace of mind.
Fortunately, neither are the type of yandere to keep you locked up. Not with actual chains. (Unless they believe you're in severe danger, but something insane like the calamity would have to be going on for that to happen) Link still loves to explore and he would love it even more if he could take you along on the journey. Mipha wouldn't object to that as long as you liked the idea! However, they both know that Hyrule is littered with monsters, so they're not about to let you leave without one or both of them by your side.
If you ever argue with one, the other will try to convince you to make up with them. You'd think they'd want to turn you against them so they can steal your love, and trust me-- it's crossed both of their minds before. But this alliance has worked really well in their favor and they don't want it to fall apart so easily.
That's not to say their alliance is perfect. Jealousy still exists in both of them, even if it hasn't been acted upon yet. And like I mentioned earlier, Link is usually the one who makes the big decisions on how to handle you, meaning that their alliance has a power imbalance.
Plus, Link is stuck guarding Zelda most of the time. Mipha is more than fine with taking care of you by herself, but Link hates the idea of being away for too long. He'll try to convince Zelda to spend more time at Zora's Dormain to avoid getting in trouble with King Rhoam, but he's willing to sneak off if he must.
If you're accepting, then your future is already laid out for you. It would be extremely difficult for Link to abandon his position as Zelda's knight just so he can become a normal citizen again, even after the calamity is over with. So the easiest way to get around that would be to transfer him to the Zora army instead. Except there might be issues allowing a Hylian inside their guard which is currently composed entirely of Zora... Until Mipha takes the crown and makes some changes.
Either way, you're going to marry Mipha and be introduced into the Zora monarchy. Congratulations, you're royalty now! You're going to marry Link as well, but not officially, since some people would see it as scandalous to be in a relationship with your knight at the same time as your wife. But neither Link nor Mipha care. They know what your true feelings are and that's all that matters to them.
But what if you don't accept them? Because as much as they spoil you, they still restrain you. You can't go anywhere alone. You can't do anything that would risk your safety, whether it's monster hunting or just going down a long set of stairs. And they're always second guessing you, especially Mipha. "Are you sure you're alright? I saw you frown for a second. Yes, it was only for a second, but you do know how I worry..."
So even if you like being with them intially, it'll get old after a while. Mipha will notice your discomfort first. She'll adjust those restrictions ever-so-slightly to make you think things have changed, when they really haven't. If you must leave Zora's Dormain without her or Link, then let a guard accompany you. If you must continue associating with that friend of yours, then tell her and Link everything about your relationship. Tell them everything aboutall of your relationships. They'll find who's good and who's bad for you. (Don't be surprised if they think everyone is bad.)
Link, though... Once he hears about this, he immediately shuts it down. He doesn't trust anybody to protect you but himself. And he's seething at Mipha for being so irresponsible. She's supposed to look after you, not risk letting you escape.
Just the way that he glares at her is a silent form of gaslighting. She truly isn't fit to take care of you on her own, is she? She's too soft. She needs Link. If it weren't for him, you would have already left her.
And now that Link has doubts about her ability to keep an eye on you, he'll enforce the rules himself. Now you can't even walk around Zora's Dormain without him by your side- when he's gone, you just stay put with Mipha. Not allowed to do anything until he returns. If you resist, he'll only make your life harder.
But you aren't totally screwed. There is one way to make their alliance fall apart: make them doubt each other. Link already doesn't trust Mipha enough anymore, so you need to manipulate Mipha into turning against Link. Usually that's impossible, but now that her confidence is low, you can appeal to her sympathetic side. Make her feel guilty for letting Link do whatever he wants to you. In this state, it won't take long before she cracks.
Your best bet would be to trick her into thinking you want to run away together from Link. Actually taking her with you isn't an option. The Zora will go into a frenzy when their beloved princess disappears and if they find you, they'll likely blame you for convincing her to run away.
Mipha wouldn't want to leave at first. She'd be too anxious about the consequences, knowing that she would have to abandon her father and brother. Knowing that Link would stop at nothing to take you back. She's just so obsessed with you though and she couldn't fathom the idea of you seriously tricking her. Besides, you only want to leave so you can be happy together, right?
She thought so. She really, truly believed so. But you went missing the moment she turned away to pack her stuff. Then... There was no other choice but to tell Link the truth. Because it's Mipha and she's simply not the type to lie, even if it might hurt her.
In this case, though? It isn't even a "might." Link had gotten used to being assured of your safety (or used to being in control of you) that it freaks him out once he hears you're gone. His immediate thought was to go find you, but his second is that how could he have ever trusted someone like her to protect you? He leaps to anger. He draws his sword.
I can't say for certain what happens next. He knows how much trouble he'll get in for harming her, but in that moment, it wouldn't cross his mind. She probably wouldn't fight back much since she respects him so highly and feels awful for allowing you to take advantage of her.
...If Mipha dies, the Zora will never forgive you. They'll be more pissed at Link obviously, but they'll blame you for indirectly causing this to happen. The whole LOZ fandom would never forgive you because we all love Mipha. I would never forgive you because I am the ultra #1 Mipha enjoyer. You might be able to live a content life if you can ignore the hatred and hide away, but just know that Link won't be the only one tracking you down. You'll be on the run for the rest of your life.

The reason why I don't mind that Zelda doesn't wield a sword in Echoes of Wisdom is because I never cared for having a "female Link".
Some people in the past have told me "why play Princess Zelda when Nintendo could just make the main character customizable or have a female option", and honestly, I hate that idea. I think it devalues Link as a character to just make him like the Pokemon Trainer or Squid Kid, and I personally enjoy Link being a more androgynous character which Nintendo really leaned towards in BotW and TotK. If Link is divided into "boy Link" and "girl Link" then that androgyny gets discarded. Not to mention that BotW/TotK made him so bland in so many cutscenes where he barely emotes at all despite having a lot of personality in the rest of the game: making him a generic self insert will just make him more bland out of necessity so people can project onto him. I much prefer Link having his own personality like in Skyward Sword or Wind Waker etc.
I want to play Princess Zelda because she has her own cool powers throughout the series. I don't need to play a female character because it's a female character, I want to play Princess Zelda or other versions of her like Sheik or Tetra because they're unique.
Furthermore, I do enjoy having unique gameplay styles. I'm really interested in Echoes of Wisdom because it is different. The 2D Zelda games don't really have much going on in the sword fighting department compared to the 3D games: they're very straightforward. It would be interesting for them to expand 2D sword fighting in the future somehow but I don't really know what they would do besides "swing sword, block with shield, attack weak point". The ability to summon minions to fight for you and to spawn all sorts of things sounds very exciting to me personally because it's going to be a very different game than past 2D Zeldas.
I hope that in the future we see more and different Princess Zeldas to play, and personally I would love some co-op titles where I can play with someone else. (It was my hopes and dreams for both Link and Zelda to be playable in TotK when it was first teased. Running around Hyrule with someone else like my twin would have been an absolute joy especially if Zelda had her own unique moveset.)
I just prefer variety. I don't play each Zelda game because I can swing a sword, I play it for the Ocarina of Time or the Wind Waker or the Minish Cap or the masks in Majora's Mask or all the other unique aspects of each game. The sword—besides Skyward Sword—is a method to hit stuff with but it's not often the star of the show, and I am usually disappointed when other items are not useful outside of their respective dungeons. I like how Nintendo is trying to incorporate abilities into the broader gameplay rather than specific uses like in the past because it gives me more options that just "identify the specific item needed in this situation" or "hit the weak spots like this with that".
That isn't to say that there can't be criticisms. For instance I noticed that spawning something with the staff is done by pressing the Y button and there's the whole scroll through items thing. I worry that only having one button assigned to this ability means that there will be a lot of menuing. I am hopeful that Zelda will have more options for different items besides the staff because the other face buttons are free for other things. The D pad icon also leaves space for 3 different things on the left too, so I am interested to see what other abilities Zelda will have available to her. Nintendo is not a stranger to hiding things about upcoming games, so I think there is a good chance that there is some else besides the staff in this game.
Anyway, I just wanted to get this off my chest. I am a female tradesperson, so I don't appreciate anyone insinuating that liking the different playstyle is tied to sexism and the idea that Zelda can't wield a sword (she did in Twilight Princess). I just don't think that a sword and shield is something that every game needs especially in a 2D Zelda where the other abilities are generally more interesting to me.

ok but know I need you to Tell Me Things about the Zeldas. all of them. I am literally*bouncing*.
(I love how both your TP Link and Zelda have RBF. they have truly Had It)
HEHE sorry i held onto this ask until I had all the Zelda designs posted, and then I,,,forgot to do that lol.
some Bonus Zelda thoughts! some of this i've maybe said before idk:
ALTTP Zelda
her armor is more ceremonial than practical. While I didn't give this to every Queen Zelda, I liked the idea of the princess's pauldrons progressing to more plate armor in the queen's dress. That's also why I changed her color scheme to blue to differentiate from the princess' pink (exceptions for this being HW Zelda who wears red as queen, ST Zelda who still wears pink as queen and BOTW Zelda who wore blue as princess)
anyway. she's more of a scholar than a warrior but she still has killer aim with a bow
her pet project has been recovering, restoring, and filling in the gaps of the royal library and archive. Mage helps her out with this as he has a knack for stumbling upon forgotten ancient texts in his travels
A lot of ppl assume she's rather prim or austere but she's actually got a lot of whimsy and humor in her. It's why she and Mage get along so well :D
She lets Mage get away with a lot of shenanigans and keeps the royal guard from arresting his ass all the time
if mage is ur weird uncle she's like. ur cool aunt
Tetra
she's still sailing the seas with her crew!
she and Wake have had a bit of a falling out though, partially over disagreements about searching for New Hyrule, and have gone their separate ways for now. There's not any real animosity between them, just like,,,frustration. They'd still do anything for each other.
She's got 2 pistols and a cutlass and she knows how to use them
She could bench press Wake. easily.
She's brash and commands a lot of respect but she's also a lot of fun to be around. She's brutally honest and says what's on her mind.
I think she still feels a lot of confusion and frustration about the revelations about her lineage and the role King Daphnes seemed to force on her because of it. She doesn't want much to do with what the divine. She values the freedom sailing on the sea gives her.
TP Zelda
she's. so tired. a lot of the responsibility of rebuilding the kingdom has fallen squarely on her shoulders. She's holding shit together by a thread but by god is she holding it together.
Looks pretty cold and unapproachable but she has a kind heart. She cares deeply for the people of her kingdom. She would sacrifice a lot for them and already has.
Never relaxes. Works like 24/7. get this girl a hobby
Midzel canon. Midna also had a thing with Link but it wasn't a polycule more of a this is my girlfriend Midna and this is Midna's boyfriend Link kind of a situation. Anyway she misses Midna.
Wolf and Zelda are like. coworkers. They haven't really gotten any closer in the aftermath of everything. Wolf wants nothing to do with playing the role of the hero in a political sense like Zelda keeps asking him to. I don't think Zelda necessarily blames him for escaping that responsibility, but she Is frustrated she doesn't have that luxury.
MC Zelda
a little cutie!! very bubbly and extroverted and curious about the world. She spends a lot of time outside of the castle running around with Mini. The King is so glad she's safe after everything he still just lets her do whatever she wants lol
She used to be the one dragging Mini into shenanigans all the time but he's gained a lot of confidence over his quest and is less timid now. now they are equally engaging in shenanigans
Hangs out with Malon too!! The three of them are besties
I like to think she can also still see the minish even if she can't shrink down to their size. she thinks they're so cute. Maybe mini gives her a jabbernut so she can speak to them too :-)
She helps Mini build his fucked up little trash robots. She also pretties them up with paint
scolded by castle staff frequently for getting grass stains and dirt on her nice clothes lol. She probably isn't usually running around in her full princess garb though.
Like Mini, has mostly refused to process most of what happened to her and is just trying to enjoy life.
Prince Zel
I went back and forth about whether or not I wanted to go with naming him Sheik or not. I decided against it since this is the version of him that never had to become Sheik. He keeps Zelda as a legacy name and shortens it to Zel most of the time.
Pretty lonely in the castle without many friends his age. He desperately wants to be better friends with Mask but is mostly rebuffed.
Even though he doesn't have to become Sheik in this timeline, I think he has begun training with Impa. Just under a lot less duress
Still occasionally has prophetic visions but has become somewhat hesitant about sharing them. I think he understands a little more of what went on in other timelines than he lets on, but he doesn't know or put together all of it.
Often described as odd or intense or standoffish by ppl who meet him but he can be really chatty and lively under the right circumstances
HW Zelda
Her armor is also mostly ceremonial, even though she's definitely more of a warrior queen. She and War are both dressed to project 'peace time' and 'prosperity'. She has other sets of armor that are more suited for combat.
She and War are a lot alike, calculating and cunning, which is why they understand each other. It's also why they're often at each other's throats. They're not really above backstabbing each other, though has Queen she has a lot more leverage.
She's not exactly warm or particularly kind, but she does care about the safety of the Kingdom.
Also never relaxes and works like 24/7
Constantly dealing with a tense, power-hungry and antagonistic court looking to undermine her authority. She has her own private ambitions she's working towards.
ALBW Zelda
She's a really charming and fun person! very down to earth as Queen and a lot more willing to eschew tradition.
She comes across as carefree but she's been ruling Hyrule by herself since she was young and has been subject to a lot of pressure. She had to grow up pretty fast and is wiser than she seems at first glance. She has her court and the people's respect.
She and Mirror share an interest in fashion and the arts. They're,,, they're both theatre kids.
I don't have a lot of other headcanons abt her yet sorry but. i love her
ST Zelda
Has been crowned Queen at the ripe old age of 16 because the last time they appointed a chancellor he turned out to be a demon who stole her body. so
She does not feel ready to be Queen at all but she's doing her best. She's determined not to let anybody push her around again.
She's taken an interest in learning how to fight after the events of spirit tracks. She never wants to feel as helpless as she did then, trapped as a ghost outside her body. Also she really enjoyed hitting things with a giant sword in her big phantom armor. She's become a much better swordsman than Spirit ever was lol
She specifically requested her own suit of armor to mimic the phantom armor
she's pretty protective of Spirit
BOTW Zelda
I think she was conscious for all 103 of those years fighting ganon, even if it seems somewhat blurry and surreal to her now. She remembers it in fits and bursts. She often feels disconnected from her body.
She has no interest in reviving the monarchy or ruling over Hyrule again. However she does have an interest in rebuilding Hylian towns and helping all of Hyrule recover. She still feels like it's her responsibility, not because of her role as princess, but because of what she perceives as her own failure to avert tragedy.
she doesn't just blame herself though- she blames the gods and her father too.
Right now though she's mostly taking a break to get her bearings and recover from 103 years of endless fighting. She and Slate travelled around Hyrule for a while at first, and now she's settled in Hateno trying to figure out how to be normal again. Some rebuilding efforts have already started spearheaded by Hudson and she helps out with those.
SKSW Zelda
honestly not even she is sure what parts of her are herself and what parts are hylia. it's as disconcerting for her as it is for Loft. She's both frustrated that he looks at her differently now and understands completely why he does. She still wishes he wouldn't.
she remembers more about being the goddess than she necessarily lets on
she's really invested in the settlement on the surface and is basically its unofficial leader. she puts a lot of time and effort into making sure everything is going according to plan and that they have everything they need to keep living on the surface
she's protective of Loft and worries a lot for him. She blames herself for a lot of what he struggles with now and wants to make it better.
she's not the fun police though, she likes a death-defying loftwing stunt as much as the next person
she did become a knight after the events of skyward sword! They don't really wear the uniforms down on the surface much anymore though and it's become less of a formal order while everyone focuses on building and improving the village.
She's been working on her swordsmanship
I think she really loves music and singing

You know what I‘m sad so I‘ll make a post about all the characters that are lesbians to me.
(Reminder: these are just silly headcanons, please be respectful, thanks)
1. Kevin Levin and Gwen Tennyson, enough said.
2. AppleTV, aka Vox and Lucifer. They should be butch 4 butch specifically.
3. Link and Zelda. I know absolutely nothing about these games but them? They are lesbians.
4. Ratchet and Arcee in TFA. Idk who started it but yes I‘ve seen the art and I 100% agree. Butch 4 femme, beautiful, perfect.
5. Lugnut and Blitzwing, also TFA obviously. Not with each other, just in general. Ever since seeing Cyberverse Lugnut has been trans femme to me so that’s what she is (a trans femme lesbian I mean). Oh and I hc Blitzwing as trans masc nonbinary specifically, but yes, lesbian.
6. V2 and the Ferryman (yes from ULTRAKILL). Especially when that one person (eyebaus I think?) draws them. Doomed yuri my love.
7. Cyclonus, Tailgate and Whirl. They are literally that „it‘s lesbian Halloween at Michael‘s“ video (if you‘ve not seen it I‘m so sorry idk how else to describe it) to me.
8. Hookfang and Meatlug. Not even necessarily with each other, but yeah, lesbians.
9. Soundwave and Cosmos, but especially Soundwave. Like always. I do believe in lesbian Soundwave supremacy
… and in lesbian supremacy in general, and I‘m like the opposite of a lesbian.
Anyway, if a lesbian sees this: hi, I love you, lesbians rule.

— I finally control this beast! Piece of cake! Goron shouted, turning sharply. — Let the other champions know and we'll see if they can keep up with the great Daruk!
[Reader] thought she was going to vomit. She desperately tried to keep her balance on the huge machine. Unlike the blonde standing next to her, who seemed to be glued to the surface of the giant lizard.
— Just look at these rocks scattered across the mountains. Delicious!
The girl wanted to cry with happiness when everything around her finally stopped spinning and her stomach seemed to be in place.
— I may not know much about this Ganon but believe me, I will defend Hyrule to the death. Do we understand each other? — The Champion patted them on the back.
[Reader] almost doubled over from the force of his impact on her spine.
She adored her giant friend but the ride had damaged her nerves so much that she didn't even have the strength to agree to his confession.
— By the way — he said to Link — congratulations on becoming the princess's personal knight! — Serious work, no pressure! — He laughed.
The girl didn't listen to the rest of the conversation. She did not share Goron's enthusiasm.
She protected the king and his daughter was often with him. This also made her Zelda's protector. They understood each other very well, they were of similar age. So she felt jealous every time she looked at the blue tunic that marked the blonde's important position. He was chosen.
Maybe everything would be easier if the princess accepted him. Meanwhile, she walked around as angry as a wasp every time he followed her. She was upset about the lost freedom that [Reader] had always respected. The boy, however, did not give her a moment's respite. Recently he had followed her all the way to the Gerudo Desert, where only women were allowed into the city. No one has ever found out how he managed to sneak there.
[Reader] looked up, only to see a huge piece of rock roll down the mountain.
— What the...
She closed her eyes, preparing for the impact. But when she opened them, she saw that Goron had covered them with a shield just in time. This broke the stone into tiny pieces. However, she was surprised to see Link shielding her with his body from a blow that never came.
— It was a bit strange. As far as I know, Death Mountain was dormant for decades. If it shakes enough to drop boulders that size… — Daruk frowned. — Never mind, forget about it.
The hero looked around, as if afraid of further shaking and moved away from the girl with a gentle smile.
Link trained often and for long periods of time alone. However, he especially liked sparring with [Reader].
When he first saw her against the Moblins, he asked for lessons. Unfortunately, it became clear from the very beginning that the chosen one of the goddess Hylia could not be taught anything more in terms of swordsmanship. Not with the skills she had.
The blonde sometimes cheated and let her win. She scolded him every time she noticed, shouting that no one spares anyone on the battlefield. He accepted criticism but precedents were repeated from time to time.
There was something about Link that made her agree to practice almost every night. Even when, tired after a long day of service, she just wanted to collapse and fall asleep, she ran to the meeting place.
That day, she also found Revali training in the square in front of the castle:
— Have you ever wondered why he is the chosen one? Why not you or me?
[Reader] blinked rapidly.
Rito, known for his inflated ego, was still jealous enough to dwell on it. She gave up on herself quite a few months ago.
— You have experience and you stand by the king every day. You're his age and you've achieved so much. There has never been anyone like this in the history of the royal guard. And me? I am the best archer among my people. Nobody flies better than me. I control Vah Medoh, for Hylia's sake! What does he have other than a sword on his back?
— I was thinking about it — the girl began. — And I think I've found a satisfactory answer.
The champion's eyebrow rose.
— Really?
[Reader] sighed and turned her face towards the setting sun, trying to gather her thoughts.
— His skills far exceed ours. Moreover, he cares about Princess Zelda, although she rejects him every time, which is probably the most important thing in his job. You know what character she has. I've also never seen him refuse to help anyone and he wants to protect all of us here. Let's face it, he's better than the two of us combined. The perfect hero.
— And yet he doesn't talk to you.
Revali knew where to sting so that it would hurt.
— That's true but sometimes actions speak louder than words.
[Reader] picked up her sword and returned to training, thus ending the conversation. Meanwhile, the champion shook his bow and then took off into the sky with his bow.
Neither of them saw the sincere expression of gratitude in the blue eyes of the boy hidden behind the trees.
The girl patiently listened to the story of how the hero dealt with the beasts. The princess told her about the battlefield he left behind and her worries.
[Reader] had to take care of a boy who showed up to training after the fight as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, the condition of the wound, which Zelda had somehow secured, did not look good at all.
Despite his silent protest, she took the boy to the infirmary. Unfortunately, there was no medic in the room who was treating one of the generals, so she was forced to check the injuries herself.
She didn't stop herself from turning red as the blonde pulled off his blue tunic, revealing clearly defined muscles. To hide it, she went to one of the shelves in search of bandages, of which she actually had plenty.
The room didn't smell very pleasant. She never liked the smell of medicines and various strange mixtures. However, she forced herself to concentrate in order to restore the patient to a relative state of use. At least for a moment.
— Wait, Link — she asked before he could disappear out the door. — You should submit your report this evening. This is the most important thing now that we expect Ganon to return. Contact me for documents.
The boy looked tired. She just had to look at his face. She didn't want to burden him with writing down the entire massacre on paper but she had no choice. If the princess was right, they had to prepare for the worst.
The boy responded with a nod. Nothing to add, nothing to take away. All of him.
— And one more thing — she hesitated. — You should let go a little sometimes.
She saw the fire of determination in his blue eyes. She knew what he wanted to express with it. Ever since she met him, she had to learn how to understand him without words.
— I'm not saying you should give up completely. My point is that sometimes you have to know when to retreat. There is no shame in running away and these fights are not the end but the beginning of something bigger. If at some point Hyrule comes to face the power of Ganon, we will need you. Until then, I want to see you in one piece. Do we understand each other, hero?
Link froze, as if unsure whether he should nod again.
— I really wish I won't have to cry for you — she added sarcastically.
However, there was much more to this sentence. Something no one else could see.
— I promise — he whispered and left.
The sound of his voice resonated in her mind for a long time.
Link knew this wasn't the time to dwell on defeat. He should pick up the princess and keep fighting.
Say anything. But what exactly?
— How... How did this happen? The Divine Beasts, the Guardians... Ganon has turned them all against us! Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk are trapped and it's all my fault. Our only hope ceased to exist because I could not harness this cursed power! — Zelda screamed. — Everything I've done so far has come to naught. I really am a failure! My friends, my kingdom, my father... [Reader]... I have tried and failed everyone. I left them for dead!
The hero felt all the words getting stuck in his throat. However, he couldn't get the thought out of his head that he hadn't said goodbye to [Reader]. They didn't have time to return to the castle when Ganon awoke. He knew that the girl had definitely stood by the king and stayed by his side until the very end.
Memories seemed to press into his head, wanting to bring tears to his eyes. Unfortunately, regret was a luxury he couldn't afford right now.
Another Guardian arrived.
The princess could no longer bear the burden of guilt that fell upon her.
— Save yourself Link! I can handle it. Run!
Standing on unsteady legs, he raised his sword, only to see Zelda run in front of him. Her hand emitted a bright glow, destroying enemies around them.
Power that was missing when it was needed most. It has awaken.
— Link! Everything will be...
Then darkness came.
[Reader] floated with King Rhoam and the four champions above Hyrule Castle among the blue wisps. She wished she had gotten a chance to talk to the boy one last time like the others. But she knew Link remembered her. He finally regained his memories.
She saw that hint of nostalgia in his blue eyes.
After a hundred years, she was finally able to admire the beauty of the world again, now free from Ganon's rule.
This was enough for her to disappear in a light breeze with a smile on her face.
Link and Zelda, as if on cue, turned towards their former home.
However, all they saw were the petals of the Silent Princess carried by the wind.
