I assume you're talking about Joel and Elena from Head Over Heels? I have 2 different fics featuring Joel and Elena (I recycle names cause I'm that bad with them lol)

I've actually thought about this sometimes.

Elena claimed that she didn't really think of Valentine's Day so much. Pre Jackson she used to help Bill and Frank prepare for date night on Valentine's, helped both men find or make gifts for each other, help Frank decorate, help Bill cook. But at the end of the day she will go home and wish she would be spending it with Joel, trying hard not to think about whether or not Joel and Tess are celebrating. But Tess usually gave her the idea that they didn't celebrate, that Joel was reluctant to. So when they got married, she didn't really put much effort into it, worried that Joel wouldn't want to do the whole 'be my valentine' thing.

It's Joel who got all over excited about it in my opinion - he hadn't had much opportunity to celebrate throughout his lifetime, his love life pre-outbreak a disaster, and he and Tess more of a 'we don't do that' sort of couple - he was always worried that showing people that they were indeed 'together' might put Tess in danger. He was Joel, the tough smuggler who beats people up like he was playing Whac-A-Mole, and he didn't want to put Tess at risk. Not to mention he was actually in love with Elena.

Plus, having spent all those years secretly pining for Elena, you'd best believe he was going to do everything he'd been dreaming of doing with her now that they were married.

So Valentine's being just a few days after their wedding (give or take - they got married early Feb I think), Joel used the opportunity to take Elena on a honeymoon of sorts. He'd use the fact that he promised her to take her out himself as a cover, and brought her somewhere he'd been scouting ever since before he'd even told her how he felt about her (you know, back when he didn't even realize she'd moved out), back then imagining proposing to her there instead of in his kitchen. Maybe a hot spring? An abandoned resort? And you'd better believe the ladies, Ellie, Tommy, Marcus and her brothers helped to make the occassion special for them, helping with the arrangement and keeping secrets from her to surprise her.

A few days alone, just the two of them, and spend some time alone with her.

And yes, there would be a lot of lovemaking, and he would probably gift her something he made himself, the secret yearning romantic that he was.

And he planned to make every day Valentine's Day with her, now that his dreams of being with her had finally come true.

More about Lil and Sidra!

They are both young watchers, and Sidra is planned to be the main watcher that I will use to interact with! They are both still fairly watcher like in appearance even when trying to pass as a human for being so young, and still have the violet eyes and feathers on parts of their bodies, and lil sharp teeth. They've been conditioned to be watchers their entire lives, and they both know nothing else.

Lil is a year younger than Sidra and is generally shyer, and Sidra kind of took up the "big sister" role for Lil. Lil got abandoned by their parents when they were young, for all they could do was Watch. They didn't speak, didn't listen, didn't fight. Just Watched.

Sidra, at first glance, seems like the ideal watcher child. She's praised by her parents, and seen as "perfect". She does everything without a second question. But she too has one fatal flaw- to the Watchers, at least. Kindness.

but then Jason's just quietly doing his own thing, maybe even helping Alfred with some chores, reading, or just lounging about in the manor. In general, just causing no trouble and Bruce just turns to Alfred, all worried like, "Is he sick? I don't think children are supposed to behave this way."

Shhh!!! is not exactly enemies to lovers, more of... two people meeting under circumstances that led to a ... misunderstanding? But there was hatred, definitely hatred. Here's a snippet:

“Hey Miller, get back here. Just because you are who you are doesn’t mean you could cut the line!”

“I was just going to pay, I left my wallet in my truck,” Joel defended himself, his impatience and anger beginning to surface.

“I don’t fucking care. You left, you don’t get to just cut the line. We all have places to be.”

His head snapped from taking his card out to looking at you. 

“What? Are you trying to rob me?”

“The espresso is five dollars a shot.”

“Six shots make 30 dollars, which is still robbing me way blind, by the way,” he seethed.

“That’s right. Ten dollars is a ‘fuck you, I don’t like you’ tax,” you raged right back, keyed in the price and shoved the card reader to his face. (Shout out to @hiddenbabynyc for the asshole tax line)

As for Midnight Craving Part Dos, on the 8th of March 2024, I, feeling down and sad about some stuff, sleep-deprived, completely out of self-confidence and self-belief, decided to write a one shot about my favourite ex-Delta Force Helo pilot and his pregnant wifey, called Midnight Craving and posted it. Cut to 11 months later, and I currently have 12 multi-chaptered fics and 13 one shots in my lil' library, including Tingled, which somehow expanded into 18 chapters and several more one shots!

That one shot took me out of the bad place I was in, and to commemorate that date, I'm gonna post a sort of sequel to my lil' 2k one shot as a thanks to our Frankie!

As to where I got the ideas for my fics... well, that viral thing about our P getting six shots of espressos didn't help, that's for sure. But mostly, I wake up with the stories in my head and I cannot get rid of it until I write it down. Sometimes, they work and turn into a multi-chaptered fic, sometimes they don't.

One thing for sure, I sleep a lot better now!

However the stories go, I hope you'll like 'em if/when you read them @letsgobarbs.
