Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. I've been feeling stressed out and unsocial. 

I think one thing I'm going to need to do for sure is delete Skype. It's not anyone on there, but it stresses me out too much. If you need to contact me, my askbox and fanmail are open.

Cid's smile faltered a little. "Now and again. Not too often--not 'til one of 'em needs an airship, of course." Hey, not like Cid was bitter about it. He just missed everybody when they all went back to their own corners of the world. "Guessin' you've been too busy."

There were few things in the world that Cid valued above a good, firm handshake, and he gave Reeve just that. Maybe his handshake was even a little overly strong, but that was just because he was happy to see the guy.

"Like hell, as usual." Then he added with a wink, "But I can’t complain."

Can I just point out what a quality roleplayer you are? The muses are great with nothing but effort and careful thought put into writing them while the mun behind them is just as great. The fandom is lucky to have you around and I'm glad you were the one to give us a Barret because I'm sure he'll be nothing short of amazing!

Quick list of stuff I plan to get to tomorrow, since I'm feeling kind of revitalized. I think I'm finally getting out of this funk I've been in!

- Cid drafts--decide which ones I'm responding to and which ones I'm clearing out. - Getting Barret all up and running. - Two Turk!Cid starters I owe. - Kefka starter with Terra in Mobliz. - Kefka drabble. - Rufus draft with Legend. - Quetzalcoatl development?

Overall goal is to get all caught up so I can get to replies as they come in~

Speaking of Barret, there should be a ton of Cloud/Barret. Have you guys seen the dialogue between the two of them toward the beginning of the game?

Cid is really not looking for romance after things with Shera went so badly. Not that they ever had an actual relationship, and not that Cid would ever admit that there was ever anything romantic between them. In truth, he knows she cared deeply for him, and he cared for her too... there was just no changing the way he treated her for so long. Some things don't heal, and he knew if he started up a relationship with her, they'd fall back into old, destructive habits.

He's afraid that he'd treat anyone he cared about too much the way he used to treat Shera, so he doesn't want to put that to the test and find out he really is just a son of a bitch to anyone he loves.

"Curves, huh?" Cid glanced over Yuffie, not finding many curves to be seen. Sure, it suited her, but that wasn't going to stop him from making fun of her for it.

On the other hand, she was calling him youngin for a change, so he didn't go any further with it than that.

"I have heard tell of that very rumor. Also heard that same sky used to be controlled by this evil man, dressed all up in white like a ghost, who stole the wings offa a real upstanding young pilot, who was beloved and respected by everyone. Man used to fly up there like he owned the place."

Cid sniffed. Maybe he was still a little bitter. "Anyway, ended up that man doesn't have any wings anymore, and the pilot has more'n he knows what to do with!" Okay, so let's ignore that this "man in white" probably funded most of the stuff Cid got from the WRO. That kind of nuance got in the way of a good story anyway.

"If those're the sky's we're fixing to recapture, I'm on board s--." He laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. "I mean, ma'am. Curves, n'all."

The Spot

An impulsive, happy smile stretched the full line of her lips, and Yuffie had a hard time schooling her expression back into mild irritation at his choice of words. Not that she was actually irritated, mind.

"Ma’am. You mean ma’am." Nose in the air, the kid arrogantly pointed to herself, thumb jabbing back into her chest. "No sir’s got these beauties!"

It was only after she was done talking that Kisaragi realized that something was a bit off in what she was talking about. Looking down at Cid, the girl put an irritated hand on his head, turning his face away from her and towards the ‘abyss.’

"Curves, Cid. I’m talking about curves."

She was, mind. No matter the backwards way she went about it. Because Kisaragi never did anything the way she was supposed to.

"Now, youngin. We are looking to capture the nearby skies overlooking an ocean of sparkling water and crackling electricity. Rumor has it that it was once visited by a great beast of the seas, in love with a young maiden as he was. A young maiden who one called Strife had to valiantly rescue from the clutches of death long ago."

Yes, she was talking about lower Junon. But, really, where was the fun in just saying so?
