procrastinating is my hobby, so instead of doing school work here's a small rosquez idea. (It is written with zero proof reading but maybe I'll make this into an actual fic)

Valentino sat in the Ducati garage, red headphones allowing him to ignore the buzzing nature of a race weekend. Instead his eyes were glued to the screen, watching the timing sheet as the gap between Pecco and the rider behind came down. Pecco's teammate to be exact. The bold number 93 tauntingly coming closer and closer. As time passed Valentino liked to pretend that he was no longer affected by Marc. Even if his eyes kept going in that directio- The man who was once his everything, his successor, his friend, his rival, the reason he lost his tenth title, his lover. But Valentino had cut him off, like a cancerous tumor Valentino did everything in his power to remove any evidence of a friendship. But per nature of the sport Valentino could never truly escape the grasp of Marc Marquez, who was like a raw scar. Disappearing from his sight until you're just about to forget about the pain. Just like how Valentino Rossi is MotoGP, so is Marc Marquez. The only true successor to Valentino Rossi, matching his record of nine championships, and currently on his way to the lucrative tenth. No matter what Pecco or Bezz or any VR46 Academy kids dreamed, no one would be the next Valentino Rossi. No, that image, the sheer God-like status would only be reserved for the greats, those not living in the shadow of a legend. Marc Marquez was proof of that. Marc is his own God, the one to overthrow the great Titian of Valentino Rossi. The fated heir to the throne. He was his own person, his own legacy, separate from Valentino. And maybe that's what angered Valentino the most. That Marc, the kid who once looked at him like he hung the stars, the kid who knew nothing more than Valentino Rossi as a God, was now an equal, or worse greater than Valentino. This "new" Marc was nothing more than a stranger. That idea stung more than Vale wants to admit. This Marc was just as cut-throat on track as he was off track. He was no longer the wide-eyed kid who blushed when Valentino complimented him. No longer seeking out every praise from his seniors. No longer desperate for the warmth of Valentino's embrace No, Marc didn't need Valentino anymore. Because they were nothing more than strangers.

Summary of fic: "Maedhros wakes up again, on the first morning of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Of course, nobody calls it that. For them, it hasn't happened yet."

The paylist follows the general vibe of the narrative: Maedhros' realization of the cycles, his struggles, his saving grace, and his determination to succeed in battle with his loved ones alive no matter how many times he has to get back up and try again. The songs genre is mostly: indie, folk, with some musical numbers thrown in because honestly, its not one of my playlists without a musical song or two

This is a brilliant fic so if you havent read it already i would reccomend! It's also an ongoing series and I've probably read the entire thing over a dozen times, its really become one of my favourite comfort fics/series of all time.
