TPN Rare Ship: Give Ray x Violet Some Spotlight!

...yes. I know I’m probably the only one in the fandom who ships them. Please just indulge me cause I’m in the mood of these two again.

I know they had such a short screen time. But I just love the couple who have such impactful first meeting, and they’re certainly one. Ray came right when Violet was almost having a breakdown because she was just by herself and she wasn’t sure how to handle the demons without her being caught.

Idk Ray just looks so cool here, lol. Also Violet is more on the tomboy-ish side, but to me her personality is adorable :3 She’s caring, she worried a lot about Emma, and she’s not the most optimistic person, but she tried her best to stand up for herself.

ALSO I LOVE THAT PART WHEN RAY JUST CASUALLY COMPLIMENT HER. Like. He might be doing it unintentionally, but she was having a literal crisis and that was a big confidence boost right there.

Mama was in the middle with the Senator.

It was painful to watch. Mama danced fast and gracefully with Dad on the ship, or sometimes they’d dance slow, their heads touching and eyes shut. But the Senator, no, Mama’s back was straight and she held herself tall. An act.

Valtia and her gaggle of other bratty Senate kids skipped past.

They gave Carmadda judging looks she returned with a rude gesture.

She went back to picking at the cakey thing on her plate. There was too much edible glitter and fancy decorations on it to even get to the actual cake.

And the cake was disgusting.

It was a good way to describe the Senator’s ceremony and this party. Pretty to look at, all complicated and obliviously taking up a lot of time to put together, but once one got to the heart of the matter, it was all dry and boring and a giant disappointment.

“Miss Modda?”

“Carmadda,” she snapped.

Keetu Gurn, a Senator’s son from some pompous planet, took her correction as an invitation to sit down beside her. The boy had an unfortunate resemblance to bantha: built stocky with a shaggy hair that could barely be contained by whatever products were in it. He grinned at her.

She didn’t grin back.

“Miss Carmadda, can I ask you to dance?”

“You can.”

He seemed put off for a moment before the grin returned. “Would you like to dance with me?”

Over his shoulder, Carmadda could see her foul step-sister and the brat brigade watching. “No.”

“But you said I could ask you!”

“I didn’t say I’d say yes.”

Keetu frowned. “But…”

“Scram, Junior.” Carmadda gave him a level glare until he slunk back to Valtia.

A chuckle came from her other side. “Nice one, Carmadda.”

Naturally the party could get worse.

She gave the boy on her left a look that usually got whoever it was directed at to turn tail and haul ass away from her.

Rayvio, the resident bad boy of the Senate kids, quirked an eyebrow. “Anybody tell you that you’re a charmer?”

“No.”

“Good. Lying to such a woman like you’s a bad idea.”

She rolled her eyes. His tough act was load of fodder. He couldn’t pull off the spacer vibe he was going for. At least, Carmadda saw through it. Something with her growing up around actual spacers. Which meant first-hand experience that Rayvio wanted. Badly.

He’d been trying to charm her for the past three years.

“Ray.”

“Yeah, babe?”

“Call me babe again and I’ll knock your teeth so far into you that you’ll stick a toothbrush up your ass to brush ‘em. Now leave me the fuck alone.”

He leaned in closer. “But us misfits should stick together.”

“Well…” Carmadda shifted closer. “I’m weird. You’re weird.”

He nodded.

“We could have weird little babies and live weirdly ever after if it wasn’t for the fact that I find you repulsive.” She pushed the cakey dessert thing into the path of his elbow and stood.

He went to follow and knocked the cake slice all over himself.

Carmadda headed towards the doors.

Mama said she couldn’t leave, not that she couldn’t wait in the speeder for it to be over.

Good news: RayVio's UVB LED can be used to treat patients with vitamin D deficiency

PR Newswire's research published today in Scientific Reports shows that RayVio's 293nm UV LEDs produce light more efficiently in skin samples than in sunlight. Led by MD F. Holick, MD, and Boston University School of Medicine and Boston University Ignition Award, Tyler Kalajian and his team found vitamin D3 from skin samples exposed to RayVio UV LEDs for just 0.52 minutes. It is more than twice as much as the sample exposed to sunlight for 32.5 minutes.

Dr. Holick, a professor of medicine, physiology and biophysics at Boston University School of Medicine and an endocrinologist at the Boston Medical Center, said: "We tested UV LEDs from different sources and wavelengths. RayVio's 293nm LEDs show the largest vitamins in the shortest amount of time. D3 generates potential. This research will bring a new generation of photopharmacology technology that uses LEDs with specific wavelengths to cause specific biological effects in human skin, helping to treat and prevent chronic diseases."

Vitamin D deficiency can lead to osteoporosis, rickets and other metabolic bone diseases, which are common in the northern and southern latitudes where long-term sunshine is limited throughout the year. This vitamin D generator is suitable for patients with fat malabsorption syndrome such as inflammatory bowel disease and gastric bypass surgery. Studies have shown that RayVio's UV LEDs can be used to treat patients with vitamin D deficiency.

Ultraviolet LED devices that produce vitamin D3 can be used on areas of the skin that are less exposed to sunlight, such as the thighs, arms, abdomen, and back, thereby minimizing the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer. The device also emits a narrower band of UVB (UVB), which reduces the likelihood of skin damage when exposed to higher wavelengths of UV radiation.
