There is a reason why one is 'falling in love'. To fall is to be in an uncontrolled state where you barely understand the actions around you, let alone your own actions. When you fall for someone, you don't process what you're doing, nor do you process what exactly it is you are feeling. All you can really take note of is that she stands there, barely even a smile on her face and you are going insane. She looks beautiful in all her glory, she stands doing nothing yet to you it is the entire world and more and you just wished she'd look at you. Things are fine between you two, or so you tell yourself. You keep your laughter, your slight banter, but you still notice the way the corner of her eyes crinkle slightly when she finds your joke amusing but doesn't want to give you the satisfaction. You notice the little ear twitches whenever someone is annoying her slightly, and you notice how she treats everything with too much care in the world and that has you feeling ways you never thought you could.

It's maddening because you are watching yourself from afar, losing control and slipping into this state where all you want is for them to call you yours, and she will never look at you the same way. You can never do anything to make her look at you that way without ruining what is already perfect to her- the perfect dynamic. It's five in the morning and you can only stare at your phone at the text that has been on delivered since you got off work and you swallow. You mean something to her that is less than what she means to you. To you, she is a star, a star in the night that is dying but you believe will still shine bright even after the universe eventually collapses into itself. To her, you are a colleague.

The worst part is knowing what could have been, what could have been if she had just decided to look at you at a specific time during a specific day. Some nights you have dreams where she confesses her love and you think of the theory that dreams are parallel worlds and how you wished that wasn't true because if it was, what are you doing wrong in this world where she won't love you back? It hurts to think, it hurts to love and it hurts to breathe now in her proximity but you will still fight alongside her.

"And is that all?"

"Yes, I believe so."

"And we're sending Miyabi with her again, correct?"

Yanagi pushes her glasses up slightly, scanning the room before her eyes land on your zoned-out form. She lets out a tsk in disappointment.

"Are you even listening?"

You let out a soft hum of acknowledgement.

"Yes."

The response is quiet, a bit too dull for Yanagi's liking given your usually more upbeat personality. She huffs softly, not wanting to open that can of worms this early in the morning. She makes a mental note to buy you a warm drink later, maybe that would cheer you up a bit. Miyabi's eyes dart towards your figure, her calculating glare softens always around you but not in the way you wanted. You want to exit the room because it is getting too suffocating to have all the attention on you now.

"I'll be there, don't worry."

She finds you already standing in the rain, a battle axe in hand as you gaze upon the city that slowly falls into ruins each day. Miyabi can't quite decipher the look in your eyes as you scan the remains of the hollows, ethereals that creak and moan out of a mind that can now only comprehend destruction and corruption beyond imagination. She sees them as targets, you've always seen them as lives.

"Are you okay?"

"Why do we do this?"

Your voice is strangely soft, given the steely gaze in your eyes. Something about the sight of you standing in the rain, sopping wet hair laid flat against your forehead as you run a hand through your hair to push it out of your eyes, a pained look that she can't understand.

"Do what?"

"Fight."

That throws her off. She knows why she fights- she knows her drive. To stop this corruption from spreading, to stop more people from having to turn into these monsters that stand before them or have these monsters hurt more people. It's simple. So why are you asking her this?

"You know why."

She watches you clench your jaw, the tensing of the muscle is a small move but she still catches it and she feels her heart stutter for a moment as you let out a shaky sigh.

"Why do you pick me for all your missions?"

Miyabi raises an eyebrow.

"You know why."

She doesn't say anything as you pick up your axe, just keeping her gaze on your face as you reel your arm back, ready to fight.

"Let's finish this last one, Hoshimi Miyabi."

The full name sends a chill down her spine that she hasn't felt in a while- the same chill when she first encountered an ethereal, or when she first came hand in hand with death and met its followers. It's a foreign feeling, unwelcome. She tries to shrug it off but watching as you leap through the air, swinging a weapon of destruction through the masses like it's nothing, she feels a pang of uncertainty. Your movements are second nature to her, having fought by your side for years now. Yet this time it feels foreign, it feels different. It feels out of sync, and she feels... distant. Your moves are erratic, they follow no pattern and she recognises none of the timings. Everything just feels off. She feels out of place for the first time fighting alongside you.

Each swing and thud, each dodge and parry only amplifies the feeling of her gaze on you and you are going mad. To fall in love is romanticised, to be loved is often yearned for. To have to go through a one-sided love is some pain you never thought could hurt so bad and to know that she has an eye on you makes it worse because how can someone be so close to being everything you ever wanted but also be so distant at the same time? In the heat of the moment, you get distracted. A moment of zoning out, and a harsh thud is delivered to your chest, knocking you off your feet and sending you tumbling to the ground, searing pain against your sides as you roll across the gravelled path to a halt. Grunting, you try to force yourself up, hand shakily reaching out to take your axe but you hear a roar.

"ENOUGH."

Her voice is cracking from how loud she shouts at you from across the field, and you finally let the axe go. You don't even notice that your vision has gone blurry and that you can feel your lungs burning from the inside out as Miyabi rushes to your side.

"Seriously, what is going on with you?"

"Nothing."

"Don't lie to me!"

Her voice trembles in a way you've never heard before and you refuse to look up at her.

"Just keep going, Miyabi, we're almost done." You mumble, pushing yourself up to your feet, but she gently pushes you down once more, leaving you sitting on the ground.

"You are in no place to fight right now."

Swallowing, you dig your fingers into the gravel beneath your palms, the small rocks digging into your skin and between your fingernails as you huff out softly. The rain was pouring now, you can barely see five feet ahead of you but you still sense her next to you. She is next to you, she is worried for you. But not in the way you want her to be.

"I can fight."

"Not now."

"You need me to carry on." You finally look up at her, and you really wished you hadn't because the look in her eyes has you wanting to scream into a void with no voice.

The look- it's worry. It's worry and you don't want her to worry for you because wouldn't it be so much easier if she just didn't care for you? You love her because she still cares for you. You love her because together you two can fight as one unit. You love her, you love her and she only cares for you because you are essential to her as a unit.

You are daylight, Miyabi, and I am the night that follows. We need each other to act as one, but we will never be together, truly side by side.

first general enderman lore!! sorry if any of this conflicts with canon minecraft lore, if there IS any actual minecraft lore i do Not know of it

1. endermen are highly intelligent creatures, but not much is known much about them at all by other mobs because theyre mostly solitary and almost never talk (even though they can). theyre barely even social with their own kind, much less other mobs. it certainly isnt helped by the fact that they feel threatened when theyre looked in the eyes, and will almost always accept it as a challenge to fight even when the person who looked them in the eyes had no ill intent.

2. endermen are the only mobs that have a language specific to their species, as all the other languages (humanoid, monster and piggish) are spoken by multiple species of mobs (humanoid with villagers pillagers illagers and witches, monster with overworld monsters like zombies and skeletons and such, and piggish by certain nether mobs but mainly piglins and zombified piglins and stuff). endermen can learn other languages too, but due to their widely solitary nature they usually dont because they simply dont have a need to talk to other mobs.

3. endermen can pick up any block in this au for pretty much no reason other than i think they cant pick up chests normally and i wanted yuri to carry a chest around

4. they can have hair on their heads and tails and its purple and sparkly and stuff‼️‼️yaay

5. their ender pearls are liek inside their bodies basically in the same place their heart would be, and the ender pearls are their source of magic and its how they can teleport yayy!!!! the magic is why they have particles floating off of them and stuff

now YURI!!!!!!!

1. yuri is an ADVENTURER!!!!! woah!!!!!! that may seem off brand for her but she loves exploring and learning about all this world has to offer, especially in the pursuit of knowledge about the enchanted books (see 4)

2. she is one of the few endermen that have learned other languages (she knows enderman, humanoid and monster)!!! she mostly did it because she just loves learning stuff in general but it turned out to come in handy a lot!!

3. she doesnt attack. like ever. she just gets too nervous. if u look her in the eye she just runs away. she runs away from most threats shes never actually killed another mob before

4. her main goal is collecting and attempting to decode enchanted books!!! most mobs dont care because they still know what the books do even if they dont know what they actually SAY, but yuri is super curious about them. her chest is filled with the books shes collected so far!!

5. she has a TOTEM OF UNDYING!!!! holy shat!!!!!! the story of how she got it isnt too crazy there was just a huge fight at a woodland mansion one day and a totem of undying was dropped and she just. snatched it. and now it holds her little cape together!!! shes actually not sure what it does yet so her side objective is to find out what the deal is with it, she just snatched it cuz she thought it was cool

6. though still VERY shy, she is a lot more social compared to other endermen, as she tends to encounter a lot of different mobs on her travels that she ends up needing to talk to (especially villagers to see if they have any enchanted books theyre willing to trade). still, she is having a Very hard time perfecting the art of social interaction,,

my knowledge on the nuances of pokemon lore is that of the most casual of fans. on account of my awful memory and the fact that i never finished half the mainline games i've played. but i DO want to get sucked into this question and i already finished timeloop so lets go:

i needed to look up every known list of mega evolutions to see if any of the pokepartners i mentioned in my last post could mega evolve and it doesn't look like any of them can. i also looked up mega evolutions just on the pokemon wiki and it does say that they can't happen outside the region they happen in. but honestly that's kind of lame so lets retcon that fact. i assume when you ask you mean like, in general, and not specifically for their partners.

honestly, i don't really think i know the battling styles of a lot of the nfb cast- or if they'd even battle at all! out of all the ones who would be hobbyist battlers, i think it would be patrick, peter, robyn, and maybe megan depending on the point in time. i think jeremy doesn't see the point to battling, really. he already hears enough about sports for his liking, why would he want to hear about sports with animals? what the hell's next, skitty football?

i do think julia- and by extension, advance- would be very keen on promoting pokemon battling though. advance canonically love supporting sports, and i don't think there's anything that aligns more to their core values than a good honest pokemon clash. you and your companion working as a team- honing in with strategy and force and heart to push towards one purpose. that sort of thing has advance written all over it. so i do think, if mega evolution was on the table in Not Britain or wherever the cast live, julia would be a keen supporter of it.

if this ask was intended to mean if anyone could mega evolve- like, get their own stones and have their own evolutions- who would those people be, i think it would be hilarious to say exclusively patrick. made especially funnier if he keeps on fucking losing anyway.

i do think, however, that julia wouldn't be opposed to mega evolving her bewear if she could. for the sake of her safety, of course- it can be dangerous being prime minister in a world as occasionally disruptive as this one.

Cracking open the door to their home, nestled comfortably in the lively— though currently sleepy— and comforting neighbourhood, was Y/N. With their telescope looped under their arm, and their trusty astronomer’s journal held loosely in their other hand, they’d carefully use their foot to close their door. In most cases? Locking the door would be best! But in this neighbourhood? It wasn’t much of a concern! And who has time for locks when there are stars about?!!

With a giddy smile, they’d take off towards the surrounding woods of the neighbourhood— an almost nightly routine, at this point, as they beelined for a nearby hill. Why, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they trampled their own little trail into the colourful grass, by now! They had discovered this hill not too long ago, it quite close to the neighbourhood— but still cut off loosely by the trees and unkept grass. The little spot felt like their own, and the clearing the hill gave from the trees made a delightful little spot to stargaze! It was no wonder why they were drawn to the spot night by night, even if they should be, possibly, sleeping..

Having drifted into their own thoughts as they walked, the bushes would soon give way to shortened, but still flowing grass. The darkened trees overhead would give way to the night sky above, the area ever so slightly dimly illuminated by the large crescent moon above. It almost felt dream-like! Clicking back into reality as the scenery shifted, they’d grin again before marching up the hill— it, thankfully, wasn’t a very steep one! And, with routine-practiced precision, they had their little corner of the world set up in just a few moments. You, however, were none the wiser to his curious stare, instead staring up at the sky with wide eyes. You look starstruck, quite literally! He watched as you excitedly flickered between peering through your telescope; flicking through the pages of your book as you clumsily held a flashlight in your mouth; and simply staring up at the large sky in all its glory.

With a muted hum to himself, Wally would simply watch for a moment— head still idly tilted to the side. He was contemplating joining you, but— after some thought decided he’d.. truly rather not do that in his night-time robes, haha! But, proposing to join you some other time, maybe with his art supplies in tow to soak in the delightful scene in his own way? Now, that sounded lovely. But, for the time being, he let you have your ‘corner’— soon turning away and beginning to walk back towards Home with a smile. A plotting one, though not devious!.. likely.. (/lhj).

Assuming I know who the worm is? Well... depends on the exact f/o. I think for the vast majority I would just stare in wonder and try thinking VERY hard how to overcome the newly created communications barrier. Try and find a container to fill with dirt and craft a terrarium for the lil guys. No way I'm letting them outside where they could be snagged up by any bird or hedgehog! I think I'd have great fun trying to decorate a worm terrarium according to my f/os preferences.

In case of Julius, Ancano and Cahir I just... lsiten... I HAVE to cut them up, FOR SCIENCE, maybe I'll have more of each by the time they turn back (should they ever turn back). all of my ocs are. homely people. though a select few (makya and venera and. probably someone else I'm forgetting) are very not

Rana (twst oc) actually does have one but. only one. a claw one on his back. otherwise Makya has a few (mostly skulls and clouds and whatever) but only in that au that's set like. I think ten years post canon. before that he was too busy living in the literal 1950s and then being cursed to bother. oh and light has those cracks on their bones ; but that's less tattoo and more. cracks on their bones.

💍 RING — does your oc have any piercings? do they want any (more) piercings?

Jianwei has ear ones, Makya has. a lot (one on lip, three on ears, two near eyebrow[one above one below]), and probably more I'm. forgetting. but I think most don't really tend to give them very often.

I can't. really think of any (too large of a selection to chose from) ; though. I mean a good plus for all of them is that so far none of them has ever eaten a person. that's like, so cool and positive of them right

Percei (other twst oc) technically is half eldritch abomination/parasite-trying-to-achieve-symbiosis-but-oh-my-god-that-isn't-how-science-works. it's only morally questionable because Percei's other half is like, full 14 year old boy dying slowly because of that. they both know and are totally okay with it but. definitely questionable. / Venera. is really secretive. which isn't really a big deal outside of the antag!au and even then in the antagonist au it's less "keeping secrets because I keep secrets" and more "if I do not lie I will be potentially put in extreme danger" so it's. definitely a trait. / Light. tends to disengage mid conversation sometimes to answer the little voice guys in their head. this interrupts many conversations. they do not feel keen to stop this. though in serious situations they can and will ignore the voice guys in their head until they are no longer in peril.

💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?

Jianwei would sell your kidney for you without telling you if he thought he would get enough money out of it / Percei is a walking murder. like literally. he is dying perpetually / Rana holds a lot of repressed anger. he is so angry. he tries to funnels this into enthusiasm, but he is not very good at it so he's just kind of. pissed off. but he smiles very tensely during that.

most of my ocs have the typical 'friends and family thing' - though antagonist venera is the only one with a specific person they are like. fully attached to. no one else.

makya would prefer family, but. he accidentally chose friends when it came down to it anyway. jianwei firmly prioritizes family. venera prioritizes family - though it's not really their choice (think: shapeshifter family. not. nuclear.) if she was allowed to chose it'd probably be friends. light prioritizes family they chose - which technically could count under friends. gamma prioritizes friends. rana prioritizes friends. percei prioritizes family, though it depends (rana ranks above distant family in percei's eyes, but his parents and rana are sort of on equal grounds of importance to him.) hong prioritizes family. he once prioritized friends. he no longer thinks that way. ch'en prioritizes family - though he sees them more in a typical found family light then the shapeshifter type family. gongdai prioritizes family. I could go on but I ran out of names

I don't really think about it - only major exceptions are Light (zalgo and arial), Makya (fluent english & russian, conversational german and french, somewhat okay italian), Rana & Percei (fluent common, shockingly good old trade, and native nothern rosen)

I have said it before but. all of them are inside people except makya, jianwei, and venera.

Venera can do some pretty heavy illusion work, but mostly they just use it for parlor tricks and storytelling. Haven't sorted out Rana & Percei yet but they probably could do something cool once I do. I say venera is pretty good at it, but it was hard to get to this point (they had a lot of time to practice.) and rana is average, while percei seesaws between "prodigy level good" and "astonishingly bad" depending on their health of the day

💜 PURPLE HEART — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?

I try not to think too hard about it. makes my head spin (I have way too much information about all of them.) the most detailed chart I've ever made on a family tree was for this one naruto oc named Itori. I charted out everything to his great great grandparents. I never want to think about it again. (I do have charts, but I refuse to do this one unless given specific characters.)

🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone's heart and/or broken someone's trust?

Okay so the first one kind of varies. I don't often let my ocs explicitly kill people, but it's definitely happened at least once for most of them (makya was a very. infamous? mercenary? sort of. he was in a group of mercenaries but he wasn't really known for his work. he moved on to mafia work after being cursed) ; Jianwei had a sister once. he does not have a sister anymore. she's not really dead in any way that'd matter - but he definitely doesn't claim himself as her family now. it'd be kind of a dick move to after everything and whatever, anyways. [he counts for both of the last ones]

🍝 SPAGHETTI — what is/are your oc's favorite food(s)?

Sirik likes lasagna. this is the only thing that comes to mind (I don't often think about ocs favourite foods. and also I've been at this for like fifty minutes now)

Jianwei likes mint chocolate chip, Venera likes chocolate though he likes trying weird flavours if he kind find them, Makya likes cookies and cream, Sirik likes neapolitan, and. I don't know. Karius likes rainbow sherbert.

🍔 HAMBURGER — is your oc good at cooking? are they good at baking? which one do they prefer?

I honestly forget there's a difference between the two. Anyways, Makya is good at cooking but awful at baking comparatively, Sirik can bake but sucks at cooking, Rana can do both but it's really hard to convince him to try, Percei can do neither but is willing to try if asked, and Karius can do both - but needs to be carefully talked down from attempting to do so very often. he tries very 'adventurous' combinations that taste genuinely awful.

jianwei varies between conman, sad guy, and that one homeless guy that sleeps on playgrounds and trees sometimes. he generally tries to take it a day at a time - big picture thinking stresses him out. he mostly wants to just get a roof over his head right about now, I'd imagine

jianwei stares forlornly into the distance a lot. this is just his default facial expression. he has no idea he does this. antagonist v has trouble understanding what is and is not edible sometimes (??? why keep fake fruit on a table?? it's fruit. in a fruit bowl. why is this not edible?????) ; I'd share more fun facts but. my eyes are kind of starting to hurt. I've been looking at this tumblr box for an hour now.

v is more logic driven by emotion ; antag!v is more emotion driven by emotion. sirik is emotion driven by logic. karius is logic driven by logic.

venera is a planner but only in the short term, and only so they can hold up the fact they tend to be spontaneous if they can get away with it. antagonist venera is a planner, but only to hold up the fact they have no idea what they're doing or what's going on at any moment of the day

😥 SAD BUT RELIEVED FACE — is your oc prone to getting stressed out, or is it easy for them to keep their cool?

Venera keeps their cool really easily - but most of antagonist venera's like entire personality is being stressed. their face tends to hide that though (resting face is very. 'super evil' aligned. they do not know it does this.) sirik is prone to being stressed easily too and doesn't really hide it - karius is also stressed, but unlike sirik, very tries to hide it. he mostly succeeds too.

😓 DOWNCAST FACE WITH SWEAT — is your oc open-minded or stubborn? are they inquisitive or do they prefer to keep to their bubble of knowledge?

venera is open minded, but prefers to keep to themselves unless pushed otherwise. (see: the literal fucking ancient tomb they have in their room they've never once tried to decipher. if someone went "hey, venera, what does this book in ancient greek say." they'd probably find a reason to try) ; karius is. very stubborn. though he's naturally inquisitive he tries to curb that because. that's not really the best stance to have in his world and whatever

Light attracts others - they at first generally preferred to be alone but. the giant void of darkness really tends to change perspective. they no longer like being alone.

venera gets sick all of the time. they don't really show that unless it's really bad though. inversely, antagonist venera actually has a really good immune system - though they tend not to cause a scene if it's really bad, they'll get all annoying if it's like a common cold or something.

as someone who started watching south park in like middle school and is currently 18 let me just quick reply to this post bc honestly? the op has a point but went about saying this point in the most teen-repellent way possible.

10-15 years ago most ppl in the media diudnt even know what nonbinary meant its a completely different social landscape nowadays in terms of rights, recognition, and teen’s access to education on bigotry. most teens on tiktok or tumblr know about these subjects more than their parents do and u bringing up over a decade ago when u urself was 9-14 in the 2010s is not the same experience as those who r in the age of tiktok and twitter and modern youtube/twitch. teens online know more shit and activist have spread a lot of awareness easy to access in these decades that ppl who make dark humor jokes are aware the difference between joke and bigotry and aware of how distorted south park is on purpose. and if someone isnt and takes it at face value? yes they should stop watching and reassess their media literacy and the way they interact w/ information thats CLEARLY exaggerated. that is a failure on the teens part to watch a show meant for adults and not have critical thinking skills therefore that teen needs to be told point blank “ur stupid as fuck” then told the show is a comedy and satire not serious political discussion and they need to strop believing everything they see on tv like a dumbass and grow tf up. thats a teen yeah, and a dumbass one to be sure yeah? not every teen is like that tho and south park isnt the only reason they made bigoted remarks liek that.

saying south park introduced bigotry as funny to a lot of kids is actually just making me have to sit down for a second and look at most adult cartoons, most famous comedians, and look back at my middle school days and my current high school ones and most of the jokes kids would make. i am looking at a culture that make bigotry funny and kids who have been joking about shit like that openly for decades. its the most “think of the children!” type bs to say “hey south park specially is making it funny to be like that to kids. nothing eles kids woudlnt have done that w/out south park!” no i assure u the show definitely helped some kids become worst off but it is not solely south park that does this i have been hearing the most vile shit from kids around me for my whole life and that wasnt bc of south park its a cultural thing that south park has been born of and contributes to but is not the sole cause of and to say ppl wouldnt do that w/out south park is actually just ignorant. its funny because its forbidden and bad and punching down which r all things teens, specially young teens, love to do not bc south park made it funny specifically

the issue isnt sp bad no one watch it, the issue is ppl under the age of like 14 dont have good media literacy. the issue isnt “hey do NOT watch this show that has bad things in it” the issue is “Hey when u watch this show be aware of the issues it talks about and have urself educated on the topics and ur own stance son them bf u let a show about comedy first most shape ur opinions.” telling teens not to watch something thats incredibly popular and main stream is actually stupid ur not helping the core of the issue by painting it as an issue w/ the show when its an issue w/ the audience. teens like 16 and older can handle southpark ur old enough then to understand the difference between a joke and being a bigot. id say kids younger than that would need to be more aware of the issues they joke about and need to be educated on that stuff not forbidden from seeing it joked about and sheltered form hearing about it in blasé and rude ways bc that doesnt WORK.

south park is just going to become more enticing and appealing and then they will think ppl like U who say “teens shouldnt watch south park” w/out actually explaining “they dont have the mental capacity at that age to understand the nuance of dark humor” and not "they r stupid kids who need to be sheltered”, are wrong then will just go watch it
