find it really interesting how the "butchfemme relationships are heteronormative" crowd are never seen advocating for more butch4butch relationships in media, its only ever said in defense of fem4fem ships... you'd almost think they just have an issue with lesbian masculinity

The way I still laugh out loud when I think about why Anueng and Nueng have almost the same name. Or how ex-fiance is the dad and how her mom is the ex-friend who had a crush on Nueng. Like I grew up on Telenovelas and Turkish tv shows, so I'm not a stranger to the "ridiculous" plot lines but still. I don't think i will ever stop laughing at that.

I’m so sick of wlw media with unhappy endings btw. Movies and shows where one of them dies or they end up breaking up or separated by outside forces. Let them be happy in the end for the love of god. Let me believe they lived their happy ever after together. I know, I KNOW Portrait of a Lady on Fire is iconic lesbian media, but that is one thing that frustrated the hell out of me and I can’t watch it again. Stop using lesbians for angst porn. I want more movies like But I’m a Cheerleader and D.E.B.S. Let lesbians have happy endings together 2024. Please.
