Never wrote a tickle fic before now, so it may not be very good. If you want to give any advice, let me know.
N was seated on a high support beam in a fetal position, letting his wings dangle on either side with his tail wrapped around it for safety measure. He was up in the much higher part of the spire, where they had to use a couple support beams to prevent the whole thing from falling apart. Luckily, it was more than capable of supporting his weight, so the rafters quickly became his safe space. Besides, N was the only one who could get up there.
Down below, the other two members of his squadron were play wrestling together. They did that a lot, and it was kinda fun watching to see who would win. It was usually J who won, but V certainly puts up a good fight. N didn’t really like the idea of joining in at first, but he eventually joined in and it was actually pretty fun! He didn’t use his wings much other than to give himself a little boost when dodging their attempts to tackle him since flying would put them at an unfair disadvantage, and it was only a game.
Speaking of flying, the sun was almost down, so he could go out and stretch his wings soon. Until then, N would lay down and focus on relaxing like his squad members advised him to during his first few weeks there.
Wait a minute.
N sat back up when a familiar sound processed through his audio receptors.
Were they... laughing??
N glanced down at them again and raised an eyebrow in confusion. J was holding V’s arms up above her head with her tail and poking at her sides and abdomen, which for some reason was making her laugh? N moved into a crouching position and opened his wings. He unwrapped his tail from the beam and leaned forward to glide down and investigate.
He folded his wings a bit so he’d fly down at an angle and landed on the side of the landing pod, which would’ve definitely caught the attention of J and V, but they were growing used to the sound. The first time really startled them since he moved so fast, but now they would just turn their heads, which J did as he hopped off the pod and onto the ground, folding and retracting his wings into the hatchets. V was too distracted by whatever J was doing to make her laugh the way she was to look at him. J used one hand to wave before resuming the weird poking.“Oh, hey, N! Wanna help me tickle V?” She asked.
“What’s tickling?” N asked, titling his head slightly in confusion.
(Slight POV change)
J immediately stopped, and V’s laughter soon went away. If V wasn’t also surprised by N’s question, she would’ve taken her chance to attack J back. Instead, she sat up and glanced at her boss with a mischievous smile, which she soon noticed and caught onto what she was suggesting.
Both of them stood up and looked back at their youngest squad member.“Come over here and we’ll show you.” V offered. N still seemed confused, but he nodded in agreement and began walking closer. He stepped over a few disembodied worker drone limbs, inwardly grimacing at them as he did, and failed to notice the growing evil in V’s eyes. Once he was close enough, V lunged forward and knocked him over.
She quickly moved to sit behind his head and pinned both his hands on the ground, wrapping her tail around them to make sure they were secure. J instantly jumped into action and began tickling his sides.
N’s reaction was exactly what the two were hoping for; Breaking out into laughter and trying to pull his hands down in order to shield himself.”Ahahahahaha! Wha hat’s thihihihis?!” He asked with another tug. He was strong, so V had to come up with something quick or he’d accidentally send her flying.”Ah-Ah! You’re not allowed to do that, it’s against the rules.” She lied. N stopped tugging so hard, but still tended up as if he wanted to a few times.
“Whahahat ruhules?!” He asked, trying his best to stop laughing and speak more clearly. V soon lifted one of her hands to join J and poke at his abdomen, which made him try lifting his legs to protect himself that way.”Nohohoho! Wahahait! Hahahahahaha!” J pushed his legs away and played along with V’s harmless lie.“Well, that’s pretty much the only one; Try not to escape, or things will get worse.” She briefly explained.
“Wohohohorse?!” N laughed. Neither bothered to elaborate, they were too busy testing different areas in order to map out the worst spots.
His sides got him giggling, which was good, but not exactly what they were looking for.
His belly was the same; enough to make him start laughing and want to protect himself, but again, not what they needed to find.
Under his arms got a better reaction, he almost broke the first rule.
His feet got absolutely nothing. J was confused at first, but then remembered that he has protected nerves down there to help with fast landings.
And his neck was a good place to tackle, but they were hoping to find a spot that sent him into hysterics.
In the middle of N’s attempts to not thrash around, V noticed his wing hatches when he would go to turn onto his side to protect himself, but then remember the first rule of their game. In a moment of curiosity, she moved her hand from under his arm and scratched around the hatch.
N squealed and suddenly shot up to get away, startling his squad mates and yanking his hands out of V’s grasp. Before he could stand up, J tackled him and knocked him back down, wrapping her tail around his wrists and pulling them forward to keep him down. After a few seconds, J moved a bit so V could get to the wing hatches that got the exact reaction they were looking for.
“We told you it’d get worse if you tried to escape.” J said. V proceeded to scratch just under his wing hatches while J did her best to keep him held down. Judging by the hysterical response from N, he was doing really well holding back from using too much strength to shake them off. His tail started wagging as he laughed, and his squad mates wondered if it wasn’t just the fact that they’re all playing together making it move so fast. Suddenly, his wings flew out of their hatches, but that didn’t stop V. In fact, it actually gave her the chance to see if the wings themselves were also sensitive. Spoiler alert; they definitely were.
“AAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” At this point, he was laughing so hard that J began to worry that he wouldn’t be able to form enough words to get them to stop when he’s had enough.“We have a safe word for when you’ve had enough. The safe word is “Comet”, so just say that when you want us to stop.” She instructed. N nodded and buried his face into the snow to try to hide the dimly glowing yellow lines on his face.
After only two more minutes, N finally gave up.”COHOHOHOMEHEHET!! COHOHOMET!” He said. They both stopped almost immediately and let him go. N just curled up into a ball and laid there to catch his breath. The two glanced at each other, hoping they didn’t overdo it.
When he finally stood up, he walked over to a nearby head and picked it up to drink the oil from it.“Did you have fun?” J asked jokingly. Once N drained the head of oil, he dropped it and stretched his wings as he moved anxiously towards the entrance of the spire.”Maybealittle, butIneedtogostretchmywingsnow, okaybye!” He rambled before taking off into the now dark sky.
It took the other two a moment to process what he just said, but once they did, J made a mental note of things to cheer him up with and V sprinted after him. Even though he was much faster.”GET BACK HERE, YOU TALL TWINK!!!” She shrieked.

David Lee, COO of WEBTOON Entertainment – Interview Series
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/david-lee-coo-of-webtoon-entertainment-interview-series/
David Lee, COO of WEBTOON Entertainment – Interview Series
David J. Lee is Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for WEBTOON Entertainment, where he oversees global corporate, financial and operations teams for WEBTOON, Wattpad, and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. Mr. Lee is also serving on the boards of WEBTOON Entertainment. A seasoned consumer and technology industry executive, he brings over 25 years of experience across a variety of finance leadership roles.
Prior to WEBTOON, David was the CEO of Inevitable Tech while serving on public company boards for AppHarvest, Benson Hill, and Zevia. Previously, he was the COO & CFO of Impossible Foods, where he successfully led the company’s launch of the Impossible Burger and its nationwide distribution.
WEBTOON is the world’s largest digital comics platform, home to some of the biggest artists, IP, and fandoms in comics. As the global leader and pioneer of the mobile webcomic format, WEBTOON has revolutionized the comics industry for comic fans and creators. Today, a diverse new generation of international comic artists have found a home on WEBTOON, where the company’s storytelling technology allows anyone to become a creator and build a global audience for their stories.
How does WEBTOON approach the ethical development of AI, particularly in light of concerns from artists about AI potentially replacing human creativity?
At WEBTOON, our approach to AI is centered around enhancing, not replacing, human creativity. Creators are at the center of everything we do – their success is our success. As a result, it’s crucial that we prioritize ethical AI development to ensure our tools support creators without undermining their artistic vision or livelihood. We use AI to boost productivity, enhance creativity and safeguard creators’ work. With over 24 million creators globally, our mission is to democratize storytelling and help Creators make money, not automate the creative process.
Can you elaborate on how tools like Shaper and Constella are designed to assist creators without compromising their artistic integrity? What specific feedback from creators led to the development of these tools?
First off, these are tools still in development. When we’re building new technology to support the creative process, it’s important that we take our time, consult with creators, and understand how these innovations can actually make their lives easier.
Like all of our tools, Shaper and Constella were built with a creator-first mindset. We know that our creators dedicate tremendous amounts of time to making webcomics for readers to enjoy, and these tools can help streamline their process, without compromising the unique artistic style of each creator. For example, many of our creators have indicated that their greatest pain point is the repetitive sketching involved in serialized content, like when a character changes a pose or clothing and the artist needs to start the sketch from scratch. While still in the testing phase, Shaper allows creators to build 3D character models in order to change a character’s poses seamlessly and without the need to sketch each pose. Another experimental product, Constella, powered by proprietary AI technology, will allow conversion of these 3D character models in various poses to natural looking 2D characters in the creator’s own drawing style. Used together, creators can significantly reduce drawing time compared to manual methods.  And as creators are free-up from some of the labor intensive tasks that go into creating a webcomic, we’re empowering them to spend more time storytelling and creating the rich and unique worlds that readers  love.
With AI being increasingly integrated into creative workflows, how does WEBTOON ensure that artists’ intellectual property is protected, especially in the context of AI-generated content?
Protecting creators’ IP is one of our top priorities. Our AI-powered anti-piracy tool, Toon Radar, actively combats unauthorized use of our creators’ work by embedding invisible user identification data into webcomic images to help block illegal uploads. In addition to our AI-powered anti-piracy work on the platform, we also led the charge in fighting piracy in 2024, taking legal action against pirate sites all over the world.
How are WEBTOON’s AI models trained? Are there measures in place to ensure that the AI tools don’t inadvertently use art or content from creators without consent?
This is a great question and really gets to the core of our ethical and Creator-centric approach to innovation. We’ve trained our AI models using data sets that are in the public domain or licensed under creative common licenses. As a matter of company policy, we do not use WEBTOON titles to train our AI models without creator consent. It’s also important to note that we do not sell any user or content data to third parties to train AI models.
How do you see AI evolving in the creative industry? Do you envision AI eventually becoming an indispensable tool for artists, or are there concerns about it reducing the need for human input?
There’s a long history of technology changing how people create. It wasn’t that long ago that comic artists did all of their work on paper pages. But today most artists use some sort of digital sketching tool.
We think about that kind of technological evolution when we’re building new tools. Art and human imaginative creation and storytelling are why we exist as a company. Our founder Junkoo Kim started WEBTOON because he is a passionate lifelong fan of comic art and artists. So anything we do is going to support those things: we’re here to help people make and share incredible art.
But it’s also clear that AI is going to have a major impact on every industry – and how companies approach AI will be seen as a choice between using this technology to diminish or uplift creative communities. While technology may be able to support certain repetitive or time-sensitive tasks, the heart of creation – storytelling, originality, and a webcomic creators’ artists style – will always come from humans. At WEBTOON, our goal is to ensure that we’re investing in AI technology that supports creators, while keeping the creative process firmly in their hands.
With tools like Shaper and Constella reducing drawing time, how does WEBTOON maintain a balance between improving efficiency for artists and preserving the uniqueness of their work?
This is an important issue for us and for all Creative Industries. A comic is an enormous amount of work, and it’s hard to truly understand what goes into a page. A reader sees a few panels, some dialogue, and beautiful images. But all of that takes a lot of time and effort! Coloring is a task unto itself in making comics. That beautiful page exploding with color doesn’t just happen. It’s a long, precise, and deliberate process. If we can help make that process easier for a Creator and reduce time spent, that’s a win.
This is the kind of mindset we bring to all of our innovations. In fact, we are currently experimenting with an AI Painter Tool, that is aimed at reducing coloring time. All of our innovations are about providing tools that can make a creator’s life easier, so it can be easier for artists to make art and tell stories. Shaper and Constella support in similar ways, making creators’ processes easier and reducing how much time they spend on different parts of their storytelling.
In what ways do you believe AI can help artists push the boundaries of their creativity? Can you share examples where AI has already led to unexpected artistic innovations?
That’s really not how we think about AI. Artists already make universes with their work. We host millions of comics on our platform and the creativity I’ve seen is boundless. Creativity doesn’t need AI to help it push boundaries, and we leave art to artists.
But AI and technology can support an artist’s process, and that’s where we can be helpful. If we can help an artist reduce the amount of time they have to spend on a part of their work that feels like work, that’s a great outcome and use case for AI and the approach we’re taking at WEBTOON.
Beyond Shaper and Constella, how do you see AI shaping the future of WEBTOON’s platform and the wider creative industry? Are there any upcoming AI initiatives you can share?
Beyond creator productivity, we know that AI is going to play a big role in the future of content discovery. WEBTOON continues to invest in this area and we recently launched a new version of our AI-powered content recommendation model in Korea, which notably increased user engagement in the months following its release. Higher reader engagement helps artists thrive, receive widespread support, and make a living doing what they love. Using AI to reach interested fans in better ways also helps build fan communities and, potentially, opens doors to other adaptations on Netflix, etc.
With AI continuing to advance, many artists are concerned about being replaced or their work being stolen. How does WEBTOON plan to address these concerns and foster a collaborative relationship between technology and creators?
All over the creative industries, artists are concerned about misuse and theft of their intellectual property. And like TV, film, and other creative industries, as webcomics have grown in popularity, so has piracy online. Webcomics take significant amounts of time and dedication to produce, so it is incredibly disheartening when those materials are stolen at the artist’s expense. We have always been committed to safeguarding artists’ rights, which includes stringent policies and technological solutions – like Toon Radar –  that actively combats unauthorized use of our creators’ work.
To foster collaboration, we see AI as a tool for our artists, not a replacement. AI can take on repetitive tasks or help streamline production processes, allowing creators to focus on what truly matters—their unique storytelling and artistic voice. By providing AI tools that assist with tasks like scene generation, colorization, or even interactive content development, we aim to give creators more time to innovate and push the boundaries of their craft.
Ultimately, our goal is to build a future where technology enhances creativity, with creators firmly in control of their artistic vision, and AI as an enabler of new possibilities rather than a threat.
Thank you for the great interview, readers who wish to learn more should visit WEBTOON.

2 REMARKABLE WRITERS IN DIFFERENT PERIOD
The Post Edsa Revolution
Nicomedes Márquez Joaquin
Tumblr media
Credit Picture
What has Nick Joaquin contributed to Philippine literature? Joaquin was regarded by many as one of the most eminent Filipino writers of the English language. He focused most of his writing on the Spanish colonial era, the rich Filipino heritage, and the complexities of the human mind. In 1976, he received the national artist for literature title. The Philippine National Artist for Literature designation and rank were given to Joaquin. Along with José Rizal and Claro M. Recto, he has been hailed as one of the most influential Filipino authors. This story's author, Nick Joaquin, had a unique writing style; he began his narrative with a flashback. Overall, it is still a wonderful and great story. The moral of the narrative was to think about what marriage really means. To have a successful marriage, a wife and husband must communicate with one another.
Nick Joaquin was a very timid and mysterious writer. Even his reclusive nature and preference for anonymity could not conceal the genius behind his pseudonym, Quijano de Manila, when he was asked to fill out a biographical form for the English-language journal Philippine Review in 1943, he simply wrote "25 years old, salesman."
Because of his extreme seclusion, Joaquin refused to reveal his exact birthday up until the day he passed himself, claiming he did not want people to come over to celebrate. His birthdate is given as either May 4 or September 17, 1917, depending on the source. We can infer that he was actually born on May 4 because he was named after Saint Nicomedes, whose feast day is on that day.
Nicomedes Marquez Joaquin, sometimes known as Nick Joaquin, is a towering literary personality with an unrivaled body of work. His short stories, including May Day Eve and The Summer Solstice, are now required reading in high schools in the Philippines. These are short stories he wrote and published soon after the Second World War, an experience that left him visibly unsettled and longing to go to another country.

Gilda Olvidado
Tumblr media

Gilda was born on August 9, 1957, in Cebu City. She is the child of Guarda Olvidado and Gregorio Tan. Her primary schooling was completed in Maranding, Lanao del Norte. She spent two years studying journalism at Manuel L. Quezon University and one year studying chemistry at Adamson University, but she did not complete college.
Gilda had a great deal of admiration for Carlo J. Caparas while she was in her teens, and he encouraged her to consider a career in comic book writing.
Works for TV and film Cha Lee's Angels, a comedy that she first published as a serial, was based on a well-liked 1970s American television program. However, when she wrote Kapag Puso ang Komiks, her second komiks novel, she found that she was more comfortable writing romance-drama.
A dramatic love story called Nasakdal was ordered by Atlas Publications.
Because of the success of her earlier works, she was in high demand and wrote romance novels for Valentine Romances, Twin Hearts, and Gemini Pocketbooks as well as Dahlia, a radio serial that was famously broadcast over DWWW. She made the decision to launch her own line of novels in 1993. Gilda publishes erotica for the Abante tabloid, particularly in the Brilgint section, in addition to her more well-known pieces.
She was the author of popular komiks novels including Sinasamba Kita (1982) and Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? (1984), Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? Kung Mahawi man ang Ulap (1984), Ina? Pinulot Ka Lang (1986), Huwag Mo Kaming Isumpa (1985), and

FOLLOWERS - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Terror Films
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS:  “What starts as hilariously bad YouTube videos develops into a warning to the world about a shocking new strain of supernatural serial killer. Jonty, a failing influencer with an ambition to reach over a million followers, will stop at nothing to become famous. A new start at university brings with it hopes of a resurgence in his popularity when a demonic presence appears in his student house. Jonty decides to stream his and his housemates’ experiences with this supernatural entity to gain the fame and fortune he’s most been craving. But at what cost?”
REVIEW: FOLLOWERS leans heavily on “from the producers of Anna and the Apocalypse and Monsters.” I gleefully jumped into this film due to my enjoyment of “Anna and the Apocalypse,” a Christmas zombie musical. I loved it! There is a bit of that spirit running through FOLLOWERS, but it is a bit more mean spirited.
At its core it is a “found footage” film with a bit of a twist to it. It has this slight feel of “Big Brother” meets the BBC series “Ghosts.” The main focus, Jonty, is an influencer who is trying to regain his status and followers after his previous nefarious actions. The supernatural elements of the tale are more for window dressing. The story is more of a cautionary tale of influencer culture and the lengths they go to obtain and maintain followers. One of the truths they spotlight is how many of these followers might be aware of the scam these influencers are running and still go along for the ride against their better judgment. There are some interesting moments. I was not sympathetic for any of these characters. I did like the villain setup, but what she is actually doing is trying to create a spectral servant, much like a classical zombie.
Other than the principle cast, the majority of the other actors are social media people and 70% of the film was shot by the actors. As such, the majority of the effects are visual. Given everything done over the years by the J-Horror Films, who took it to a new level, the effects here are solid, they’re just not scary enough. The film doesn't cut too often to the folks who are trying to piece together their version of the story as to be distracting. The cinematography is decent, the score helps serve as a reminder you're not actually watching a found footage film and the locations are functional but nothing special.
I enjoyed the cast, especially the four principals. Harry Jarvis brings a lot of energy to his role of Jonty Craig. He is so unlikeable, but yet there is something charming about the scoundrel. Actress Nina Wadia’s Becky Dubar has a great character arc. Clearly there is something weird about the character but she delivers this slow transformation that adds a nice air of mystery and suspense to the film.
Unfortunately, director Marcus Harben passed away before the US release of the film. In his time as a filmmaker he made ten films. Even though it utilizes some tried and true elements, FOLLOWERS has a fresh feel to it that blossoms in the final act. Harry Jarvis and Nina Wadia bring a lot of energy and creativity to the film that keeps it an entertaining and engaging view. The overall tone isn’t exactly a horror film. It’s more of a plot device that allows them to explore the larger themes of influencers and social media. Come to think of it, that can be a real nightmare!

Please don’t freak out, @g1ggl3-c4t, but I made another one. I just love your idea so much!
I’ve decided to experiment with an idea I’ve had for a while and add in Uzi as a disassembly drone! We’ll call her Z for now, because U is a bit too confusing and I wanted to stay true to the whole “Serial Designation (insert letter)” thing. I’m a little proud of this!
The wind outside the window by the bed wailed and howled as it flew past the manor’s walls. The black curtains blocked out light and heat from coming in, but didn’t get rid of sound or cold as well. With the curtains closed, the stale, dark grey sky outside went unnoticed. Through the wind, one could also hear the snow falling towards the earth and being caught in the wind before hitting whatever surface they were thrown to, which sounded kind of like very light or faint white noise. The bed next to the closed window had red comforters and gold vine-like patterns on them, light and breathable, and the three pillows were of a similar design. Two of the pillows were arranged as a sort of soft shield against the headboard while the third was placed in front of them where they touched. Plenty of the old bedrooms were like this, many varying in color and design, and tended to only have a bed, nightstand, maybe a window, maybe a recliner, a carpet, and usually only had one bed. This one had those things, except the carpet. The recliner was placed to the left of the door in the corner while the window and the bed were on the right side of the room, and the nightstand actually stood by the recliner instead of the bed.
J sat in the recliner with her sketchbook in her lap and her pencil in her left hand. In the middle of the room, Z, N’s best friend who he thought was dead and some kind of member of a group from what J heard the two say, laid on her belly in an attempt to sleep with her tail wrapped around one of her own arms despite it containing acid. Z rolled off her belly and onto her back, her eyes closed but showing clear discomfort in them. After a few minutes, she stood up and walked to the nearest wall and laid down on the floor with her back pressed against the wall. She curled up to herself and wrapped her tail around her arm again. J looked up from her random doodles of reptiles when Z moved again. She took a look (for lack of a better phrase) at her internal clock and felt a little bad for the odd drone in the room.
She was built similarly to N, having the same tail, five semispheres, white hair, yellow eyes, but there were clear differences. For one, her legs weren’t built the same as his or a worker drones’. From her “feet” to her knees, there were diagonal caution lines. They kind of looked like boots, similarly to how the black metal with caution lines halfway down her thighs looked like shorts. She wore a dark grey jacket with a white dead battery with crossbones and icicles and dark faux fur lining the bottom. Unlike N’s coat, Z’s jacket was held closed with a zipper instead of a belt. She also had an old winter hat with a puff of faux fur. The two were best friends, so James trusted him to prevent her from causing as much trouble as she would like and allowed her into the manor since she had no stable place to stay. Obviously, they had separate rooms.
Z has been trying to fall sleep for over an hour now, but something seemed to be bothering her. The room was very cold, J believed she heard it was 10 degrees F while getting her jacket to be more exact, so it’s definitely not that. J sat on the recliner in the room while doodling in her sketchbook, so it’s not like she was taking over the bed and preventing her from sleeping in it or anything. Z actually tried the bed for a bit, but then got up again to move 37 minutes later. Z looked up at the chandelier and stared at it. After a few seconds, she yawned again and all of her sharp teeth were on full display for a moment.”Aren’t you nocturnal?” J asked, just to confirm.
Z turned to her.”Yes, but I can’t sleep!” She said. She sounded as frustrated as she had been acting. Her tail swung around in anger for a second and nearly scratched at the wall. J nearly sighed, also feeling a little frustrated, but not as much as Z. J was assigned the first shift to make sure Z didn’t overheat and start rampaging through the manor in search of oil, but the issue she was facing clearly wasn’t that. If J had to take a guess, she’d say that the issue was that Z was worked up about something and it was preventing her from falling asleep, just like N when he first arrived. That was a bit of a problem since one of the few things J believes she’s not good at is comforting people, let alone helping them sleep. She thought of asking Cyn or V for help, since they were better at this than her, but then she remembered something V said about N the other day. Something about one of the features both him and Z had, unlike regular worker drones. An idea popped into her head. She had to prevent a smirk from forming on her face as she began to put her new plan into action.
“I’ve got an idea. It’s helped a ton of drones fall asleep.” J piped up. Z looked at her from the floor and gave her a slight glare with a raised eyebrow. J closed her notebook and placed it and the pen neatly on the small table next to her. She stood up and walked over to the bed, taking a seat with her legs over the edge. Z watched her use an arm to gesture her over to her.”Come here. Lay on my lap.” She said. Z now looked even more confused than before. She stood up, not even looking very mad or distrusting anymore, just a little baffled.“Excuse me??” She asked.
“Just lay down, it’ll help.” J repeated. Z rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, but did as she was told. She walked over to the bed and sat down, then turned her body and slowly leaned back until her back was covering J’s lap completely. Her legs were on the bed and she had to lift her head up or she’d just let her head tilt downwards and rest on the bed uncomfortably. J grabbed a pillow and pulled it over to set it underneath Z’s head to support her head. Without much of a word, she then reached and grabbed one of Z’s arms. At first, Z was going to pull away, but J was quick to speak up.”I don’t know the exact details, but something about the sensation helps promote relaxation.” She “explained”. Z gave her a slightly suspicious look, but allowed J to keep moving her arm. J lifted her legs up enough to move her arm underneath and did the same to the other. Z looked at her very confused, but didn’t try to pull away.“This is going to feel weird at first, but if you try to relax, it’ll get you smiling pretty soon.” J said. She lifted Z’s jacket enough to expose her belly and placed her hands on the clear, smooth material keeping the nanite acid or whatever liquid it was inside. She noticed how Z’s arms tensed up for a second under her legs, but they soon relaxed again when she started to gently rub her belly. J used a bit of pressure as she moved her hands slightly up and down, just like the way her parents did to lull her into a false sense of security when she was younger. To tell the truth, she wasn’t lying when she said it helped her and other drones relax, but she wasn’t really sure if it’d work on Z. Since she hadn’t really argued much yet, J decided she’d wait a few minutes or so to see if she could get her to relax and think it was safe.
About five minutes later, Z looked pretty calm and relaxed. The tension had left her shoulders a while ago and she had closed her eyes as well to slowly drift off. Her tail, dangling over the edge of the bed, was wagging ever so slightly. It was pretty hard to hear, but if J listened close enough, she’d hear the faintest purr. Surprisingly, J thought it was nice to see her so calm and relaxed compared to how she usually is. Although this was mostly because she could finally strike. A mischievous grin made its way onto her face. J paused the belly rub to start scratching her belly. Z’s eyes shot open and she began laughing.”Pfft— Hehehehey!!”
She tried to close her mouth and suppress her laughter, but it was already hard to do that with how bad it tickled. J nearly let out an amused, mischievous giggle. It seemed that V was right, the lava lamp bellies were definitely sensitive. She could feel Z tug on her arms, but she couldn’t pull out. She must either be really tired or the arm trap thing worked better than J thought.”Snrk- knohohock ihit off!! Ahahahahahaha— mhmhmhmhm!!” Z snapped through her laughter. She bit the inside of her lip to try to prevent herself from laughing and turned her head to the right. J smirked. It was pretty fun to finally get back at her. She didn’t like how Z was trying to resist laughing, though.“What’s wrong? Does it tickle?” She asked. Z shook her head.”Mhmhmhmhmhm!! Nohohoho!! Mhmhmhmhmhm— Pftt-hehehehehehahahaha!! Mhmhmhmhm!!” Z struggled a lot to not laugh and tried closing her eyes and pretending it wasn’t happening. Her body shook with barely muffled laughter, making the liquid in her belly move around a little. The scratching was bad enough to make Z almost crack open and laugh, but she was determined to resist. Even though she was doing a terrible job. J raised and eyebrow.”Oh, really? Then you wouldn’t mind this?” She asked. She gave Z’s belly a squeeze.
Z pulled her legs up a little and finally let herself laugh.“AAhahahahahaha!! Hahahahahaha!! Dohohohon’t dohohoho thahahat!! Hahahahahahahaha!!” Z said. The squeeze made her laughter go up an octave for a second, and J was happy to have found this out.”That’s what I said when you held me in the air by my arms so Tessa could tickle me, and what did you do?” She asked. Both of them already knew the answer. The worker drone squeezed her belly again, then again.”Wahahait!! Hahahahahahaha!! Ahahahahahaha!! Hahahahahaha!! Hahahahahahahaha!!” Z pulled her legs up in attempts to protect herself, but it didn’t work.“What’s this? The big, bad drone can be reduced to a puddle of laughter with just a few squeezes?” J teased. A small yellow blush appeared on Z’s screen, clearly embarrassed. She turned her head to the left and scrunched up her shoulders in a poor attempt to hide her embarrassment. Recalling all the times N’s best friend had fought with her, J was pretty happy to finally find a weakness to “exploit”.
She continued tickling her for a good four or five minutes before she stopped the tickling, but didn’t lift her hands off Z’s belly or let her go.
Z’s laughter slowly died down and she turned her head to glare at her.Ahare you dohone?” She asked angrily, giggling a little from the phantom tickling feeling. J raised an eyebrow and gave her an “are you sure you want to be talking like that to me?” type of look.”No, there’s still something I need to try.” She said. Z’s glaring expression suddenly changed to one of slight fear and she tried to suck her belly down, away from J.”Wait, what?! What do you mean you’re not done?!” She asked. J smirked and lowered her head. Z looked horrified when she realized what she was doing.”J, don’t you dare!!! Don’t— AAAAAAAIIIIIEEEEHEHEHEHEHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” Z could barely talk through how hard she was laughing. She threw her head back and started kicking her legs, and J would be lying if she said she wasn’t worried about getting kicked. She wasn’t going to chicken out just yet, though. As she prepared another raspberry, she used one of her arms to wrap around Z’s upper abdomen to hold her still and lightly scratched her with that hand, just to add a little bit of extra torture. She took in another breath and blew.”AAAAAIIIEEEEHEHEHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
J looked at her and waited for her to calm down from hysterical laughter to tense giggling, still lightly scratching with one of her hands. She lifted her head and smirked at her.”One more, then we’ll be done.” She said. Z looked at her and watched as she used both hands to very lightly scratch at her belly. J shifted between moving her free arm around in circles and up and down. She was going to make her anticipate and wait for the final blow. It was one of her favorite things to do. To make it even worse, she lowered her head as if to get ready to blow one, but she didn’t.
After a few minutes, she glanced over at Z, who was trying to glare at her.”Hahaha! Ahahare yohohou gohohoing to dohoho it or nohohohot? Hahahahahahaha!” She asked. J raised an eyebrow.”Are you asking for it?” She asked. She gave her belly a small squeeze with her free hand. Z’s laughter went up an octave and she briefly pulled her legs back up. The small blush on her screen grew a bit bigger.”Ahahaha!! Ihihihihi juhuhuhuhust wahahant tohoho sleep! Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahaha!” Z said through her laughter. J lifted her head and faked a snarky, thoughtful expression with a small hum. She waited only another ten seconds to smile mischievously at Z.”As you wish!” She said. She lowered her head again and took in a deep breath. Then she blew.“AAAAAAAIIIIIEEEEHEHEHEHEHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” Z howled with laughter and threw her head back. She kicked her legs wildly, somehow not hitting J, who was pleased with herself for getting Z to practically ask for it. She took another moment to calm down enough to stop moving so much, but once she did, she was left panting to catch her breath with the occasional giggle. J lifted her legs enough for Z to pull her arms out and scooted to the side so Z had enough room to curl up and protect her belly.
Z yawned again and looked at J.”Alright, now let me sleep.” She said, looking more tired than before. The worker drone did as she was asked and got off the bed so Z could try one more time to fall sleep on the bed. She walked over to the recliner while Z lifted the covers and crawled under them. Her tail wrapped around her arm again and closed her eyes while J picked up her sketchbook and pencil again to continue drawing. She would look up and check on Z thirty minutes later and find her finally getting some sleep.

Favorite True Crime Books – part 2
John Wayne Gacy: Defending a Monster by Sam L. Amirante : “Sam, could you do me a favor?” Thus begins a story that has now become part of America’s true crime hall of fame. It is a gory, grotesque tale befitting a Stephen King novel. It is also a David and Goliath saga—the story of a young lawyer fresh from the Public Defender’s Office whose first client in private practice turns out to be the worst serial killer in our nation’s history.
Sam Amirante had just opened his first law practice when he got a phone call from his friend John Wayne Gacy, a well-known and well-liked community figure. Gacy was upset about what he called “police harassment” and asked Amirante for help. With the police following his every move in connection with the disappearance of a local teenager, Gacy eventually gives a drunken, dramatic, early morning confession—to his new lawyer. Gacy is eventually charged with murder and Amirante suddenly becomes the defense attorney for one of American’s most disturbing serial killers. It is his first case. This is a gripping narrative that reenacts the gruesome killings and the famous trial that shocked a nation.
American Legal Injustice: Behind the Scenes with an Expert Witness by Emanuel Tanay : Forensic psychiatrist Emanuel Tanay has testified in thousands of court cases as an expert witness, including such notorious cases as those of Jack Ruby, Sam Sheppard, and Theodore ‘Ted’ Bundy. Tanay walks the reader through his experiences in the courtroom, explaining the role of the forensic psychiatrist in the litigation process and providing a ‘behind-the-scenes’ view of our criminal justice system, including individual chapters on some of his most interesting and infamous cases. Tanay also provides clear examples of the rampant injustice that he has witnessed and argues that the potential for injustice is built into our legal system in the form of incompetent lawyers, the imbalance of resources between the pricey defense lawyers hired by large corporations in civil trials and the inexperienced lawyers often hired by plaintiffs, and the political concerns of elected judges and prosecutors. American Legal Injustice: Behind the Scenes with an Expert Witness is a must-read for Law & Order, Court TV, and true crime enthusiasts.
The Last Victim: A True-Life Journey into the Mind of the Serial Killer by Jason Moss : It started with a college course assignment, then escalated into a dangerous obsession. Eighteen-year-old honor student Jason Moss wrote to men whose body counts had made criminal history: men named Dahmer, Manson, Ramirez, and Gacy.
Posing as their ideal victim, Jason seduced them with his words. One by one they wrote him back, showering him with their madness and violent fantasies. Then the game spun out of control. John Wayne Gacy revealed all to Jason — and invited his pen pal to visit him in prison…
It was an offer Jason couldn’t turn down. Even if it made him…
The book that has riveted the attention of the national media, this may be the most revealing look at serial killers ever recorded and the most illuminating study of the dark places of the human mind ever attempted.
The Phantom Killer: Unlocking the Mystery of the Texarkana Serial Murders: The Story of a Town in Terror by James Presley : Set in the rowdy, often lawless town of Texarkana shortly after WWII, The Phantom Killer is the history of the most puzzling unsolved cases in the United States.
The salacious and scandalous murders of a series of couples on Texarkana’s “lovers lanes” in seemingly idyllic post-WWII America created a media maelstrom and cast a pall of fear over an entire region. What is even more surprising is that the case has remained cold for decades. Combining archival research and investigative journalism, Pulitzer Prize nominated historian James Presley reveals evidence that provides crucial keys to unlocking this decades-old puzzle.
Dubbed “the Phantom murders” by the press, these grisly crimes took place in an America before dial telephones, DNA science, and criminal profiling. Even pre-television, print and radio media stirred emotions to a fever pitch. The Phantom Killer, exhaustively researched, is the only definitive nonfiction book on the case, and includes details from an unpublished account by a survivor, and rare, never-before-published photographs.
Although the case lives on today on television, the Internet, a revived fictional movie and even an off-Broadway play, with so much of the investigation shrouded in mystery since 1946, rumors and fractured facts have distorted the reality. Now, for the first time, a careful examination of the archival record, personal interviews, and stubborn fact checking come together to produce new insights and revelations on the old slayings.
The Only Living Witness: The true story of serial sex killer Ted Bundy by Stephen Michaud and Hugh Aynesworth : Michaud and Aynesworth are a reporter and an investigator team who interviewed serial killer Ted Bundy while he was on death row in Florida. This volume chronicles his activities throughout several states but is at its best in a long section of transcripts from the interview in which, while he never admits his quilt, Bundy offers vivid details of the crimes and commentary on the mindset of a serial killer. This revised edition includes some additional information.
Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters by Peter Vronsky : In this unique book, Peter Vronsky documents the psychological, investigative, and cultural aspects of serial murder, beginning with its first recorded instance in Ancient Rome through fifteenth-century France on to such notorious contemporary cases as cannibal/necrophile Ed Kemper, the BTK killer, Henry Lee Lucas, Monte Ralph Rissell, Jerry Brudos, Richard Ramirez, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and the emergence of what he classifies as the “serial rampage killer” such as Andrew Cunanan, who murdered fashion designer Gianni Versace.
Vronsky not only offers sound theories on what makes a serial killer but also makes concrete suggestions on how to survive an encounter with one—from recognizing verbal warning signs to physical confrontational resistance. Exhaustively researched with transcripts of interviews with killers, and featuring up-to-date information on the apprehension and conviction of the Green River killer and the Beltway Snipers, Vronsky’s one-of-a-kind book covers every conceivable aspect of an endlessly riveting true crime phenomenon.
Escape from Alcatraz: The True Crime Classic by J. Campbell Bruce : In 1963, just weeks before the original publication of this book, the last prisoner was escorted off Devil’s Island and Alcatraz ceased to be a prison. Author J. Campbell Bruce chronicles in spellbinding detail the Rock’s transition from a Spanish fort to the maximum-security penitentiary that housed such infamous inmates as Robert Stroud, aka the Birdman of Alcatraz, and mobster Al “Scarface” Capone. The chapters describing the daring escape attempts by Frank Morris and two accomplices from this “inescapable” prison became the basis for the 1979 Clint Eastwood movie. Discover the intriguing and absorbing saga of Alcatraz, whose name is still synonymous with punitive isolation and deprivation, where America’s most violent and notorious prisoners resided in tortuous proximity to one of the world’s favorite cities.
Sins of the brother: The definitive story of Ivan Milat and the backpacker murders by Mark Whitaker and Les Kennedy : Seven young backpackers brutally murdered. A nationwide police hunt spanning three years and thousands of hours of forensic investigation. And finally, the capture and conviction of one man.Sins of the Brother tells the gripping story of road-worker Ivan Milat and the horrific Belanglo Forest murders that shocked the world and forever etched themselves into Australian criminal folklore. It explores a family culture so twisted and bizarre it would lead inexorably to a serial killing spree, scrutinises the police case – its successes and failures – and reveals the chilling mystery left behind.Told in novelistic style from interviews with the Milat family, key police investigators, Crown lawyers and the lucky souls who escaped with their lives, Sins of the Brother is a classic of crime literature – a psychological thriller come to life and a disturbing portrait of a man whose delusions became reality.’More than just the suspenseful story of some notoriously evil murders, this shocking and strangely seductive book is a painstaking examination of today’s society. This is Australia on the slab.’

❍❍❍ TV MOVIE ❍❍❍
The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 1930s. Televised events such as the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 19340 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famo(Alice et le maire (2020) introduction at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the (Alice et le maire (2020) spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 1948, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the (Alice et le maire (2020) took place on September 4, 1951 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 1954 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the (Alice et le maire (2020) occurred on January 1, 1954. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came j(Alice et le maire (2020)t one year later. In 19402, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season.
❍❍❍ Formats and Genres ❍❍❍
See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional MOVIE). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program (Alice et le maire (2020)ually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was (Alice et le maire (2020)ually undone by the end. Beca(Alice et le maire (2020)e of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 1980s, many MOVIE feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television MOVIE to have this kind of dramatic structure,[4][better source needed] while the later MOVIE Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run.[citation needed] In 2020, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ Becomingenues than film.[5] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2020, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.
