Well recently there are so many misunderstandings about queercoding and queerbating etc. and I am so tired of it; specifically about THE wrong and weird interpretation. we need actually educate ourselves in the language. In 1993 there was a couple in the Four Corners of New Mexico, US that contracted this terrible virus and died within a couple of days of showing symptoms. Scientists were “baffled” and several more people died while they scrambled to figure out what was causing this horrible virus.

Come to find out that the Healers of the Navajo Nation had already told the scientists that this was nothing new. That every time there was a really heavy rain, the deer mice in the region would be more abundant and then people would die from this virus.

It wasn’t until someone else was willing to LISTEN to them before they figured out that it was a slightly different strain of the virus we know as the Hantavirus that was killing all of these people. They would be exposed to the deer mice droppings, urine, or saliva by likely digging in the garden or some other outside activity.

Researchers have used Easter Island Moai replicas to show how they might have been “walked” to where they are displayed.

The problem with “senseless violence” narrative around the UnitedHealthcare CEO is that it ignores the inherent violence of the insurance industry. Denying someone lifesaving care is violence. Subjecting someone to drawn out periods of pain before treatment is violent. The industry is made up of millions of acts of violence everyday, with the CEO at the helm guiding it all. This is not unprovoked and it’s not an overreaction; it is just harder to ignore

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.
