Something that i need everyone to know (especially but not excuded to fic writers who like the romeo and juliet trope) is that wherefore does NOT mean where

Wherefore is elizabethian english for why

In act 2 scene 2 when juliet says

"romeo romeo wherefore art thou romeo"

Juliet is NOT asking where romeo is. Juliet is asking why it had to be romeo, why she had to fall in love with romeo, why the man she fell in love with was romeo

Shes longing for an explanation of the unfortunate events of her life and romances

Shes not asking where romeo it's more like...

"O Romeo, Romeo, why must you be Romeo."
