Valleys and hollows bottom, clough, combe, dale, den, ditch, glen, grave, hole, hope, slade ⚜ Examples: Cowdale, Denton, Greenslade, Hoole, Longbottom, Thorncombe
NOTE
These elements are all found in many different spellings. Old English beorg ‘hill, mound’, for example, turns up as bar-, berg-, -ber, -berry, -borough, and -burgh. Only one form is given above (Thornborough).
Several items have the same form, but differ in meaning because they come from different words in Old English. For example, -ey has developed in different ways from the two words ea ‘river’ and eg ‘island’. It is not always easy deciding which is the relevant meaning in a given place name.
This resource does not distinguish between forms which appear in different parts of a place name. Old English leah ‘forest, glade’, for example, sometimes appears at the beginning of a name (Lee- or Leigh-), sometimes at the end (-leigh, -ley), and sometimes alone (Leigh) (K. Cameron, 1961).

One of the reasons I like Sonadow so much is because they feel like reverse Akusai (reverse because of the colours) to me.
Shadow = Saïx/Isa
Sonic = Axel/Lea
Saïx and Shadow (in Sonic Boom, Lego Dimentions, Sonic Forces, Sonic X Shadow Generations, etc.) are both voiced by Kirk Thornton, so...

Radiator Springs/Rusteze-Dinoco Racing Center/Fireball Beach/Thunder Hollow/Thomasville/Florida International Speedway (Cars)
Takes place after Cars 3.
It isn’t combat based. Missions include keeping up with McQueen’s top speed by racing down Radiator Springs’ main street, learning how to turn right to go left at Willy’s Butte, keeping up with Cruz’s top speed on Fireball Beach, avoiding pushy competitors with the Thunder Hollow challengers, and practicing with Cruz at Thomasville, culminating in the Piston Cup race at Florida International Speedway, where the objective is to win against Jackson Storm.
Sora enters the world as a custom-made sports coupe mixing a few real-life sports car models before visits to Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and Ramone’s House of Body Art end with him modified into a next-gen race car sponsored by Dinoco (with Tex’s blessing) and with Cruz’s number.
It’s set during Cruz’s first Piston Cup racing season, so McQueen still has Doc’s colors and spends the Florida race as Sora’s crew chief.
As Sora finishes his story, Mater is certainly unhappy with Xehanort’s actions forcing Sora’s hand. “That dad-gum Xehanort”, he says angrily. Extra points if Sora doesn’t get to the part where Xehanort is dead, then Sarge gets in his face and demands him to teach Xehanort a lesson when he gets back in a militaristic manner. “Is that understood,” Sarge yells. Then Sora tries to correct him, but gets cut off and asked again, “Is that understood,” and has to respond, “Sir, yes, sir!”
Of course, during the top speed races, Luigi is the one to signal the race to begin.
In the Radiator Springs race, Sora’s top speed is tracked by Sheriff’s speed radar, and on Fireball Beach, it’s via Cruz’s personal assistant, Hamilton.
If you fail the “Turn Right to go Left” mission, Sora goes flying into the bed of cacti, and Mater fishes him out.
I know I’ll get hate for this, but Cars 2 elements are here. Heck, maybe Mater can’t be present most for the training because he’s busy with Finn and Holley. After all, does he still owe Holley a first date?
I wanted the player character in this world to be Kairi just so Storm can feel the embarrassment of losing to not one, but two “costume girls”.
The Piston Cup race is announced as a 500-lap race, but no game developer is that malicious to force the player to race 500 laps around an oval, so they’d take after the first Cars game and make it twelve laps with the sun slowly lowering throughout the race.

Jamie Kirk and Lea McCoy 💛💙
A commission I received after posting Jim and Bones! I usually draw a lot of idealized male and female forms, and the client wanted to really celebrate the different (and more realistic) body types between these two.
So since Jamie is AOS here, she's a lil more slender with some rangy muscle (and a smol belly pooch regardless, I c u CPine). Bones is more hourglassy and broad, and carried Joanna ❤️
I had a lot of fun with this one! Hope I get to draw these two gals again 🥰

Fictional character ask: Clifford who was the host in Muppets Tonight
let me preface this by saying that I've never seen any episode of Muppets Tonight. I'm working entirely from his scenes in Muppets from Space and interviews that puppeteer Kevin Clash did with the character. Moving right along...
Favorite Thing About Them: his sense of humor. it's not quite the usual Muppet vaudeville schtick; it's more self-referential and a lot more 90s. He's an attempt to expand and update the kind of jokes that the Muppets can tell while still feeling cohesive and, well, Muppets.
Least Favorite Thing About Them: I cannot stand the build for the puppet on Muppets Tonight. the eyes just look unnatural and the shades are so much more fitting for this character's sensibility. the eyes make him look perpetually on edge, which doesn't work at all for the calm, cool, devil-may-care characterization Kevin Clash developed for him. Furthermore, the eyes draw attention to how big his nose and lips are instead of balancing out the face, so he looks disturbingly like the caricatures from the blackface era painted purple. Not the vibe I want for (arguably) the first Black Muppet.
Things I Have In Common With Them:
I like the purples of his color scheme.
I enjoy music.
I can be sarcastic and snarky.
Things I Don't Have In Common With Them:
I'm not Black, nor am I a Black-coded fictional character performed by a Black man.
I don't enjoy being spanked.
I certainly hope that I'll have more career options other than "be a Muppet" or "join Milli Vanilli".
Favorite Line: My favorite / only known Clifford joke, from his interview with Arsenio Hall:
Hall: Clifford, how did you hook up with these guys?
Clifford: Well, look at me. I mean, look at me. It was either be a Muppet or join Milli Vanilli!
brOTP: I don't know him well enough to have one.
OTP: Again, I don't know him all that well. I guess Paula, that offscreen girlfriend he does BDSM with?
nOTP: Not a clue. Maybe the Dawson's Creek woman he puts the moves on in Muppets from Space?
Random Headcanon: Despite all his protesting that he's "humanoid", he really is at least part catfish. For one thing, it helps deflate the stereotypical Blackness of his design. For another, the Muppet writers seem to enjoy the idea. In Muppets Meet the Classics: Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm, they cast him as the magical fish from "The Fisherman and His Wife" (retold as "The Frog Who Liked the Fish" with Kermit as the protagonist and Piggy as his overly ambitious spouse). And in Muppet Monster Adventure, when all the Muppets are transformed into Universal Monster spoofs, he is the Gill-Man riff.
Unpopular Opinion: It's for the best that he was discontinued after Kevin Clash left. Big sex scandal notwithstanding, Clifford is a Black character, and at the very leas there needs to be a Black puppeteer to do him justice. On top of that, the Muppets' writers and creative team are still overwhelmingly white, which sets Clifford up for a lot of jokes that draw attention to his Black-codedness, which are dated and cringey at best and offensive at worst. The most glaring example I can think of comes from an interview with Kirk Thatcher, who said that back when Muppet Monster Adventure was planned to be a TV special, Clifford's beastly alter-ego would be the "Creature from the African-American Lagoon". Yikes riding bikes.
Songs I Associate With Them:
He's not technically in the sequence, but the "Brick House" opening from Muppets from Space seems like his music taste or close enough to it:

My thoughts as I’m watching 24 seasons of law & order svu:
Season 6
6x02 seems to show the worst and best of Elliot. Compassion for the victims, doing whatever it takes to save them. As well as, doing whatever it takes and anger management issues…
Not really a svu observation. But Lea Thompson saying: “a mother knows her child” and then playing a mother in switched at birth, where she did not in fact know her child, is kinda ironic.
6x04 is probably my favorite episode yet. The chase was done really well. The interrogation showed Stabler, changing strategies several times. Also, Munch got to shine a bit, feel like that hasn‘t happened in a while. Great attention to detail, that they all wore the same clothes over three days.
6x05 definitely started off interestingly, you have Benson lying to a victim's family and then Stabler being under IAB scrutiny.
6x07: I know the team hates it, but I love it when they have psych evaluations. Fin actually knowing when it’s time to step away is probably the most sane thing any one of the group has been in these cases. Also, it’s most likely for the best that Stabler was taken off the case. However, I would have liked to see his religion play into this. Loved that the girl realized the perp was lying due to his words and not because of something Olivia said.
6x08: Kinda annoyed that the Victim was so fixated on her portfolio, and then she just leaves it at the hospital… I knew she would accuse Stabler as soon as she “fainted”. And that was a harsh revelation about his family. I honestly don’t know whether to believe the vic or the perp. That’s why I actually love that it was open-ended, even though I usually hate when stories aren‘t wrapped up.
Benson and Stablers blank looks in 6x09 when they interviewed Ray-Ray are just priceless! Amanda Plummer plays schizophrenic really well. Jealous Benson is quite fun to watch.
Stabler just being done with it all in 6x11 makes a lot of sense. Also, him comforting Benson the episode before and now her being his voice of reason is quite nice. And of course, her organizing his kids to see him.
Halfway through the season, I gotta say, this first half was really strong. Good stories, nice personal insights, good acting, what’s not to like.
Someone having to explain “LMAO”, makes one realize just how long this show has been on.
Benson and Stabler are like kids getting scolded by their dad (Cragen) in 6x16. I know it’s supposed to be serious, but I just thought it was funny. Also, Alex is back!! (At least for one episode)
I like how they changed it up in 6x17, with most of the episode taking part in the interrogation room.
Loved getting some backstory on Benson in 6x19. And I’m on Cragens side when it comes to the DUI charges in 6x21.
So overall, really strong first half, felt like the second half was a bit lower in quality, but that night have just been my set of mind whilst I was watching it.
Familiar Faces: Abigail Breslin, Ned Bellamy (Scrubs), Lea Thompson, Dana Delany (Body of Proof), Maggie Grace (Twilight), Lewis Black (Accepted), Jason Antoon (NCIS Hawai‘i), Amanda Seyfried, Joseph Lyle Taylor (9-1-1), Kyle MacLachlan (The Captain, HIMYM), Amanda Plummer (Wiress, The Hunger Games), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Geoffrey Arend (Madam Secretary), Seth Gabel (Fringe), Hayden Panettiere (again), Martin Short, Danielle Panabaker (Sky High), Angela Lansbury, Bradley Cooper, Bebe Neuwrith (again) and Kirk Acevedo (Fringe).
