TM: Sunfang Territory
Lumos' Pastures: Vast, sun-kissed meadows. Lumo's  Pastures serve as the primary location for Sunfang's livestock, providing a bountiful source of milk, fur, and grazing. The meadows are dotted with colorful wildflowers, and are a place to hang out for the Sunfolk.
Golden Harvest Fields: Expansive fields where Sunfang Field Tenders cultivate grains, fruits, and vegetables. The Golden Harvest Fields are a crucial source of sustenance for the Kinship. Sunfang farmers work to maintain the fertility of the soil and ensure abundant harvests.
Sunlit Altar: The Sunfang's Sunlit Altar stands atop a sun-kissed hill, where the rays of Lumos illuminate the sacred space. Offerings of harvested crops and grains are presented in gratitude.
Roaring Rapids: Just a meadow away from the orchards of the Sunfang's Golden Fields, the Roaring Rapids is a dangerous rushing river with a challenging terrain. Often heavily avoided due to the fatality rate and danger of slipping inside, in addition to the lack of fish and prey. Only experienced Sunfolk make their way here to collect water for their livestock and agriculture.
Bison Stampede Trail: A trail that winds through the meadow terrain and leads to the highlands where wild bison herds roam. Sunfang hunters traverse the Bison Stampede Trail to secure additional resources, but must be aware of the stampede for their own safety.
Pinnacle Plateau:  A high plateau with panoramic views of the Sunfang territory. Pinnacle Plateau is a strategic location for scouting potential threats and planning defensive strategies. It also serves as a destination for Sunfang leaders to hold discussions and make important decisions.
Flameheart Quarry: A quarry where Sunfang cats take stones for construction and crafting. Flameheart Quarry is named for the warm hues of the stones found in the region. Sunfang Landstewards and Artisans use these stones to create tools for the Kinship.

in the beginning, Dayir was the open, approachable one and Ishan was the terse, aloof one. it was all very clear-cut and almost cartoonish in its simplicity. everyone knew that if you wanted someone won over or a difficult compromise to be reached, you went to the pretty, empathetic Au Ra; and if you wanted to intimidate or even straight up stab someone, you went to the flinty-eyed, warlike Elezen.
time passed. things happened, to both of them. their hearts and souls cracked and broke open in different ways. their deepest relationships changed them in different ways.
Dayir's personable qualities still very much exist, but she is more intense now, more capricious... people still love her, but the way people love her is fiercer now; all-consuming, a kind of fever. "holy awe" is a feeling oft attributed to her, as is "fatal attraction"
Ishan will still very much stab you if need be, and he still isn't what you'd call loquacious; but he is softer now, less brittle. his reservedness used to unsettle people, make them feel off-balance. now they feel serenity in his silence, a sense of groundedness that is very much related to his journey as a botanist and general landsteward
I would say Ishan has a lot of friends. even when he was grumpier and more hair-trigger he had a way about him that made people want to stick by him. most of the people who are in Dayir's inner circle are people who were there to witness all that happened to her and loved her through it all. or they're former villains who got drawn into her intense gravitational field and found being there to be more satisfying than blowing up the world or whatever. but this makes her inner circle an eclectic and motley crew, the type that a lot of "regular" type people would rather not get entangled with.
By the end of Endwalker, it's clear that there are many who respect and even revere the WoL, but is your WoL actually likable? Do they have many friends?

Summer Solace Tallow sources all of our ingredients from local ranches, farms and green businesses in Northern California. Our nourishing tallow balms, soaps, and holistic candles start with obtaining organic suet fat from the uber-sustainable ranch @stemplecreek in Tomales, CA through our friends at @thelocalbutchershop (they have been with us since the beginning!)🐂 Read more about Stemple Creek Ranch online. They just celebrated a 10 year anniversary. Here’s to sustainable ranching, land stewarding, and Carbon-farming! 🌎 “Our goal has been to create a model that will be better for the environment, better for the animals, better for the land, and better for the people eating the food that we produce. For this model to work, we knew it had to be sustainable for the planet, and sustainable for our family. Our deepest hope is that our business will be something the fifth generation of our family wants to carry forward into the future. This land is our legacy, and we know how we steward this precious commodity today will have ripple effects that continue long after we're gone.” . . #slowbodycaremovement #tallowskincare #tallowbalm #tallowsoap #tallowcandle #carbonfarming #sustainablefarming #sustainableranching #landsteward #sustainableliving #takecareofourplanet (at Stemple Creek Ranch) https://www.instagram.com/p/B16fM3bBv48/?igshid=1k54eg61r0ra1

Walks around the #farm are filled with wonder and amazement. Here are a few comparisons and play on words. Turkey tail mushrooms and turkeys showing their tails. You can see how the #turkeytailmushroom got it’s name. Chicken of the woods mushroom and chickens in the wood. Chicken of the woods (Laetiporus sulphureus) is an edible polypore mushroom. Chicken-of-the-Woods or the Sulphur Polypore, this bracket fungus is seen most often on beech, oak, chestnut and less frequently on cherry and other hardwoods. Sighted Lion’s mane near the top of a tree. It’s a beautiful, delicious #mushroom in this area. “Hericium is easy to identify: it is the only species that forms a single clump of dangling spines, rather than hanging its spines from a branched structure. Additional identifying features include the fact that it typically appears on the wounds of living or very recently cut hardwoods” Campers here get to see our #friendlyfowl and the views on the property. A camper pointed out this new lion’s mane location. We enjoy taking folks on walks to explore the history and flora, fauna and fungi of the area. #foragedfood #walkinthewoods #knowyourland #fungus #fungi #fungiphotography #fungiofinstagram #mushroomsofinstagram #mushroomphotography #mushroomhunting #landsteward #chickenofthewoods #chickens #turkeys #lionsmanemushroom #hipcamp #outdoors #outdooradventures #outdoorafro #campers #hikers #hikersofinstagram #sclowcountry #proudarmyveteran (at Morning Glory Homestead) https://www.instagram.com/p/CI6jbUHhFiA/?igshid=xe1hy8asgm8m

I’ve been putting a lot of energy into my yard this spring, but feeling discouraged today because of the voles who make swiss cheese of my garden beds. I’m thinking the solution will be to build raised beds with hardware cloth barriers underneath. I also like the idea of having a partner in this project of coaxing sustenance from my little piece of the earth. Suggestions welcome. . . . #home #garden #voles #gardening #collage #dailyart #artdaily #permaculture #sustainableagriculture #homegarden #vegetablegarden #homesteading #homestead #friends #landsteward #earthcare #environment #perrenials #noplacelikehome #vole #pestsolutions (at Chaplin, Connecticut) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxTfZDRAtAv/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=sboia3vlvtob

Structure of the Sunfang Kinship
This hierarchical structure reflects the Sunfang Kinship's emphasis on agriculture, herding, and farming. Each role is essential to the success of the community, ensuring a harmonious relationship with the land that sustains their way of life. The Sunfang prioritize the balance between spiritual connection, agriculture, and environmental stewardship to thrive in the challenging conditions of Mirthvale's rolling acres.
Solarkeeper:
The highest-ranking position, the Solarkeeper oversees all aspects of Sunfang life, including agriculture, herding, and resource management.
Responsible for ensuring harmony with the land and the effective utilization of the sun's energy for the benefit of the community.
2. Sun Envoy:
A spiritual leader who serves as a conduit between the Sunfang Kinship and Lumos, the Goddess of Light.
Presides over ceremonies and festivals, offering prayers and guidance to maintain a strong connection with the sun.
3. Harvestmaster:
Highest Authority in the farming process, often considered the next in line to become the Solarkeeper.
Oversees agricultural practices, crop rotation, and the timing of planting and harvesting.
Works closely with Farmers to maximize yields and ensure the community's food security.
Facilitates trade and barter with neighboring kinships.
Negotiates fair exchanges of agricultural products and resources, strengthening alliances with other communities.
4. Livestock Guardian:
Responsible for the well-being and management of the Sunfang Kinship's livestock.
Coordinates grazing areas, breeding programs, and ensures the health of the animals.
5. Landsteward:
Focuses on land preservation, sustainability, and resource management.
Monitors soil quality, water sources, and implements practices to prevent desertification.
6. Veterans:
Respected elders with extensive knowledge of nomadic life and survival in the arid lands.
Offer guidance and share wisdom with the community, especially during times of drought or environmental challenges.
7. Artisan:
Artisans who create artwork inspired by celestial themes and agricultural life.
Their creations serve as both functional tools and expressions of gratitude to Lumos.
8. Field Tenders:
Skilled farmers who specialize in the cultivation of specific crops.
Work collaboratively to ensure a diverse and sustainable agricultural landscape.
Majority of the Kinship are part of this role.
Sunscribe (Apprentice):
Entry-level position for individuals learning the intricacies of Sunfang agricultural life.
Apprentices assist in various roles, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the community's prosperity.
Cubs are promoted to Sunscribes when they hit 6 months, and officially begin training for their specialized path at 9 months.
