One of the most expansive acts you can do is learn what is not for you, what you no longer need to waste your time and energy opening up your body to, what experiences you can no longer accept, clear on what your "No's" are, clear on what your "Yeses" are, and commit and devote your whole heart to them accordingly. -India Ame'ye, Author

4 good things (it’s been awhile yall):
- I’ve been shrugging my shoulders a Lot but with a genuine smile. i really don’t know & im so okay with that.
- today I learned that my neighborhood, where my farm is, was a vital part of the Underground Railroad. i am so moved by this, makes sense that I gravitated to area for land ownership. freedom feels.
- Ive been accepting support with no internal resistance. happy to have healed that bad habit.
- I’ve learned how to truly question myself. the art of self reflection via understanding the power of asking yourself the right questions to arrive at the needed answer. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Bonus: I just got my smile back 🌸
#this time of year always feels like the twilight zone#im in the midst of rebirth#4 good things#personal

In general, I want someone to share my tastes with. My sensibilities. I'm curious about what I'm capable of, and I would like someone to be curious alongside me...with the same gentleness that they [should] give themselves. And it need not be a prison. It need not be a promise that can't be kept. I wish we could share freedom with each other. The question I want to ask you is: do you know how to go home? Are you skilled at returning to yourself with your dignity intact?

a word on so called “thanksgiving” …
New York Times Op-Ed feature:
“To me, Thanksgiving is about food sovereignty. Food sovereignty means more than ending hunger. It also means building community, ensuring that the people who grow our food are paid a fair wage and protecting the land our food comes from for future generations.”
— Amber Tamm Canty, Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Well. This feels like, not the end of a chapter, but the end of an entire story. I miss how we used to be, and we will never get it back. Life requires that I do something else now.
