Congratulations to @urbantreeconnection for receiving this grant from @thefruitguyscommunityfund! They are one of four Philly-area food sovereignty farms I am collaborating with this year (through Philadelphia Seed Exchange) to collectively focus on keeping, preserving, and proliferating our communities' culturally important seeds and their stories. #Repost @thefruitguyscommunityfund with @repostapp ・・・ Meet @urbantreeconnection Neighborhood Foods Farm, a non-profit organization in the Haddington neighborhood of West Philadelphia, PA that supports community-led land reclamation projects that build capacity for food sovereignty. Their $2.5K grant will allow them to start a seed-saving project that incorporates culturally-important seed varieties and build an education program for the local community.
