The Sprixie Kingdom's Location

So many people believe the Sprixie Kingdom takes place in another dimension. They used the opening scene from Super Mario 3D World to prove this. I believe this is incorrect, in addition to I believe I may have figured out where the Sprixie Kingdom is.

So first off the opening, people believe this is Mario and friends traveling across dimensions. I don't think this is the case, I believe this is how all Warp Pipes look like when being warped. And that we haven't seen this before because these are Clear Pipes and it is giving us our first glimpse on how it looks.

So the second thing is the Sprixie Kingdom is littered with ? Mark Blocks and Green Pipes. Why is this notable??? Well..... Blocks are established to be constructed of various materials giving them distinct looks as I mentioned in a previous post. By extension blocks like the Prize Blocks are exclusive to the Mario World, and this would place the Sprixie Kingdom on the same planet. More evidence for this is the presence of Pipes like the Green Warp Pipes. These are unique to the Mario World and in Super Mario Odyssey it's established the Pipes are one of the main industries of the Mushroom Kingdom. So another detail placing the Sprixie Kingdom on the same planet.

Now when do research on this I noticed some details about the Sprixie Kingdom. Now correct me if I am wrong, but these specific Birds are primarily found in the Mushroom Kingdom or at least it an surrounding areas. If so then the presence of the Birds would imply the Sprixie Kingdom is not to far away. But the second one is there are some trees in the Sprixie Kingdom. But correct me if I am wrong but these specific trees have only ever been found in the Mushroom Kingdom and places on the Mushroom Continent. If so this would be further evidence that Sprixie Kingdom is somewhere nearby.

But the main detail I noticed was the presence of Toad Houses with Toads in them in the Sprixie Kingdom. Why is this here? This would imply the Sprixie Kingdom is under the rule of Princess Peach like the Kings of SMB3, or were once under the rule of the Mushroom Kingdom. Because why else would Toads be living here? We know Toads are almost exclusively been found in the Mushroom Kingdom and the Mushroom Continent as a whole. Particularly in places under the rule of the Mushroom Kingdom and with some posts in the Koopa Kingdom.

Now for the where. Where do I think the Sprixie Kingdom is? Well I think it's somewhere in the lake or inland sea to the South of the Grasslands. So first off all the details I pointed out would imply it's somewhere within the Mushroom Continent if not really close by. When looking at the map we see the Sprixie Kingdom is several Islands surrounded by a larger landmass. So I think it's somewhere in this body of water similar to how Lavalava Island is in these waters. By extension I think Lake Lapcat is somewhere nearby. So I noticed Lake Lapcat is surrounded by mountains which are similar to the ones seen behind the lake or inland sea to the South of the Grasslands. So I think Lake Lapcat is on the other side of some mountains near the Sprixie Kingdom. Similar to how the Great Lakes are relatively close together. Of course this is just my hypothesis on it's placement, so what do you think?

Fact: In Bowser's Fury, Bowser Jr. uses the magic brush he first used in Super Mario Sunshine. With it, he accidentally transforms Bowser into Fury Bowser. He creates a portal that's spawned from a Shadow Mario M to bring Mario to Lake Lapcat, similar to portals he made in Super Mario Sunshine. He also uses electric goop to paint Power-Ups.

In the Bowser's Fury mode of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, the playable area of Lake Lapcat is completely surrounded by black goop, which prevents Mario from going too far out of bounds.

Removing the goop by modifying the game reveals that there is an additional death plane underneath the goop, which can never be accessed during regular gameplay. It appears that this was added as a failsafe in case the player somehow managed to clip through the goop, to prevent Mario from falling eternally instead.

I already hear the catlike yowl coming from him as Mina goes for a surprise hug. Catka definitely had trouble trying to get his friend to let go but she has an iron grip. The only thing that would make Mina let go other than her own volition is if he gotten her a Blitty doll.

Man bought plenty of souvenirs from the Lost World and that includes stuff from Broque Monsieur's shop. Also he would definitely take his friends to Lake Lapcat the moment he could. Mina might faint from too many cats though.

Blue is in a relationship with the yellow brigade toad (I named him Kip btw) and they both have an adopted giant cat son.

Blue works alongside Mario, Luigi, Gold, and (sometimes) Peach to stop Bowser. But his work also comes with lots of risks of death and can be dangerous at times. He trains in obstacle courses almost daily with his childhood buddy Gold. Gold gets kinda irritated at how Blue is around Kip and finds Kip to be a "distraction" from all their hard work.

Sometimes Blue and Kip have to part ways and it gets super sad cause they miss each other. Kip gets worried about Blue not coming home from his adventures someday because of him losing all of his extra lives. Blue gets homesick whenever he's off on an adventure or Kip has to takeoff somewhere else in the starshroom with the rest of the brigade.

I also can't forget about Rob, he's their cat son basically. Kip found him at lake lapcat and snuck him back home and asked for Blue's help to take care of him. Blue didn't suspect a thing at the time because Rob just looked like a normal cat (when he was a kitten) until Rob started to grow the size of an elephant and was forced to be an outside cat. Rob still comes home to visit every once in a while or he'll respond to a whistle call if he's within range and he'll do anything to protect his tiny caretakers.

Going Against the Current: Chapter 1

  Flicking through pages, the Koopa King scrolled through a large leatherbound book with a broad smile. Pictures of flowers, banquet menus, location brochures, and other miscellaneous objects. This may as well be the most guarded document in his office; after all, it holds all the details for his and Luigi’s wedding!

            It felt like only yesterday that the two started dating. Six years ago, Bowser realized he couldn't keep doing this. He couldn’t continue this life of villainy and kidnapping. He was missing out on his kids’ lives, his citizens were losing respect for him, and the constant defeat just kept making his mental health worse and worse. After failing to wed Peach in the Moon Kingdom, Bowser got stuck there for a little while (his warship suffered from an engine malfunction) and during his brief exile, he stopped for once in his life to think.

           The Mushroom Kingdom may have resources, yeah, but… Bowser doesn’t really need them, his home country is quite sufficient. None of the other kingdoms and nations want anything to do with him because of his behavior, which was once again for a useless reason: he doesn’t like Peach. Well, not romantically at least; don’t get him wrong, Princess Toadstool seems like a lovely lady, and Mario’s one lucky bastard to have her. But, on that lunar surface, he realized he went off the deep end over a crush, a half-baked attraction towards her.

           Bowser has some experience in the romance department (otherwise, how would Junior have come to be?) but… shit happened. Things didn’t go well, a divorce occurred and ever since then, the king has just been afraid to date again. And then he saw Peach and half-assed courted her like an idiot; ego bruised by her well-deserved rejection birthed the familiar villainous routine of today. After pondering all of this, Bowser decided to call it quits. He returned to the Darklands and focused on what he should be doing: taking care of his kingdom and his kids. After several months of peace, Bowser started feeling better. He was actually there for his kids and all their craziness, his kingdom was relieved to have their king again. Hell, he even started hitting the gym properly again and got himself a much-needed hobby.

          And then Luigi came in. Due to his inactivity, Peach became concerned (read: suspicious) and sent the little man to investigate; she didn’t send Mario because he was helping out with an oil spill in Lake Lapcat. Bowser vividly remembers he was sitting in his throne room, listening to a citizen’s grievances when suddenly a guard burst in with Luigi in a floating cage. The king visibly panicked and ordered his immediate release; after clearing out the confusion, the human in green explained his intentions. While he was a little hurt, Bowser understood where Peach was coming from and subsequently told him that he was done. No more kidnappings, no more elaborate schemes. He just wants to be a good father and a good king.

         Most shocking of all? Luigi believed him without hesitation. His eyes had glimmered with joy and pride like he knew Bowser would someday come around and redeem himself; the reaction was refreshing, to put it mildly. Armed with his response, Luigi respectfully exited his kingdom.

Then he kept coming back.

            At first, Bowser felt like they appointed him as some parole officer, periodically coming in to make sure he was actually staying out of trouble. However, every time Luigi visited, he revealed it was out of his own volition; in fact, Mario and the princess had no idea this was happening. He’d bring homemade snacks and talk to him during his breaks; the Koopa King learned a lot about Luigi. He has a passion for cooking and embroidery; despite his naturally anxious nature, he seemed to enjoy his company. And hey, someone who can kick King Boo’s ass was someone deserving of being his friend in his book! It didn’t take long for the king to realize how charming and heartwarming Luigi was and soon enough, Bowser was whipped. And being the boisterous creature he is, he made it blatantly obvious.

            He started out small, gave a compliment here, perhaps reached for his hand there; he was being cautious, he was heartbroken once after all. Bowser would gladly welcome him into his home, practically letting him roam free. He slowly opened himself up to Luigi, indulging him with information he hasn’t really shared with anyone. How he was basically given the throne after his parents were overthrown, how he’s trying to be a better ruler and father for his kids’ sake. When he told Luigi about his turbulent, short-lived marriage, the human hugged him without hesitation, sensing his distress. The understanding, the care for him… It fueled Bowser’s determination to court the human and do so properly.

He’d make or buy Luigi gifts and compliment him.

Bowser gave him special privileges and sometimes took him on “diplomatic” trips to other kingdoms as his ambassador.

            At first, the Italian seemed oblivious, which gave the mighty king deep bouts of anxiety. His kids knew he liked him (correction: the whole castle knew about his feelings) and even placed bets on who would confess first. However, one day, after 2 months of flirting with him, Luigi basically stormed through the castle and into his bedchambers, still dressed in his pajamas and his ghost dog hot on his heels.

“You’ve been flirting with me, haven’t you…”

Gods, he loves this man, but he can be so dense sometimes…

And he still remembers his half-asleep response. 

“Ye.”

            Luigi looked like his brain fried. He stood there for what felt like an eternity; Bowser had even fallen back asleep while sitting, waiting for his response. He was startled-awake when Luigi tackled-hugged him and pretty much confessed while in his arms. The Koopa’s tail had wagged so much, it sounded like a rotor. And waking up with his love in his arms the morning after was the best feeling in the world.

            Maneuvering their relationship took time and finesse since there were some issues. For one, they had previously been enemies and, even though his beef was mainly with Mario, people would be disapproving of their relationship; so, they kept it secret for a while. It was challenging, especially for Bowser since he just wanted to pick up Luigi and shout to the world that this was his boyfriend.

Another problem was their physical differences. Bowser never felt more aware of his size than when he started dating Luigi; after all, he was a full three feet taller, a mountain of muscle and sharp teeth. The royal suddenly became afraid of even holding Luigi’s hand for fear of crushing him. It got to the point that the touch-starved pistachio grabbed his face one day and, in a rather terrifying yet weirdly titillating voice, said. 

“Hug me. Cuddle with me. Hell, PLEASE carry me! Just- anything!”

            Learning to communicate and safely show affection was nerve-wracking but rewarding in the end. Luigi grew accustomed to co-parenting rather quickly; although, Bowser doesn’t know how since he went from having 0 to 8 kids at once. Nevertheless, he did. The castle staff adored his company and treated him like a king. And just like that, six years passed. The two were in a deeply committed relationship and went public roughly four years ago; there was a bit of backlash but that wasn’t surprising. What was surprising was how accepting Mario was of them.

“Who wouldn’t fall for my bro?” he said while chuckling. “He’s happy, right? Why wouldn’t I support that? Plus, it means no more kidnapping of my amore.”

            Bowser chuckled at the memories and softly closed the book. He’s been planning the proposal but every time he looked at the wedding plans, something felt off. Incomplete. It wasn’t the most extravagant wedding in the world since he wanted to respect Luigi’s more modest and quiet nature, but something told him that wasn’t the issue. The theme was perfect, he picked L’s favorite flowers and planned on the event taking place right here in the capital. He mulled over the details over and over again, but couldn’t figure out what was wrong. 

            Sighing, the king slowed up and exited his office. As he traversed the lava-lit halls of his castle, he listened to the sound of life. Servants scampered around the corridors, keeping up the palace’s appearance; he could hear the chefs working in the kitchen, and the scent of warm meals floated in the air. Moving on, he entered the castle’s living spaces and made a beeline for Luigi’s room, tail wagging. The king approached the door and slightly opened it.

            Luigi was seated at his desk, working a piece of fabric through a sewing machine. Fully engrossed in his work, he failed to notice his royal boyfriend. Spools of fabric lined the walls, along with mannequins of all shapes and sizes. Racks of finished projects stood neatly in the corner. With a flourish of the wrist, the dashing Italian removed the fabric from the sewing machine and smiled at his work; a shimmering navy blue skirt with silver lining. Luigi softly rubbed the fabric, then placed it on one of the racks. 

            Bower rapped his knuckle on the door, making his presence known. Luigi looked up and smiled at him, waving him to come inside. The king obliged, cautiously stepping inside and ensuring his spikes were far away from the delicate material; he was not going to ruin his beloved’s work. Gently wrapping a hand on his hip, he pulled himself closer to Luigi. “Hi.”

“Ciao, amore. Haven’t seen you since lunch; is everything okay?”

Bowser nuzzled against him. “Yeah, a few of my minions needed help with something.”

            Convinced by his response, the little man in green reached up and scratched his chin; the king purred at his touch. It’s astonishing how this human can cause the Great Demon King to melt at his touch. Bowser would do anything for his husband-to-be; it could be something as simple as his own sewing room to his own galaxy. No matter what, he will make him happy. 

Because in his eyes, Luigi deserves the world. 

“What’s that for?” he asked between purrs and gesturing at the skirt. 

            Luigi pulled his hand away (much to his disappointment) and reached for it. Upon analyzing the piece of clothing, Bowser realized the sparkles resembled stars. Luigi dusted it off, “Rosalina commissioned this. She said she needed it for some event that’s coming up,” he replied. Bowser struggled to keep his face neutral.

So, she finally got my letter…

            Geez, getting in contact with the celestial sorceress had been an absolute nightmare, even more so because he had to be discreet. It was also very awkward considering the chaos he caused a few years ago with the whole “make his own galaxy” scheme. Bowser looked at the other outfits, “Are you planning on wearing some of these? They look amazing!” His significant other blushed at his comment.

“I’m thinking about it. But there’s been a lot of eyes on me lately…”

            Bowser frowned slightly. While he was completely comfortable with Luigi wearing dresses, he knew the public would not be so kind. It saddened and angered him that his partner could not express himself as freely as he should be able to. The castle staff were okay with this and made sure to keep this a secret at Luigi’s request, but that’s as public as he was comfortable going. Bowser isn’t even sure if Mario knows about this, and that’s his twin brother! He knows Red enough to know he wouldn’t be judgemental, but Luigi was still apprehensive. 

            A small knot of guilt formed in his chest. Citizens have been anxiously awaiting the day the two finally tie the knot. And as the king’s consort, eyes are going to be on him, searching for even the slightest hint of an engagement. Bowser felt responsible for all that; he knows Luigi was not a fan of the publicity. And his bravery can only stretch so far…

Wait.

            The Koopa King looked at the articles of clothing, very delicately touching them as he began to think. Luigi was brave, there was no doubt about it. But it depended on the situation. Fighting against boos was drastically different from challenging societal norms. However, Bowser’s form of bravery was consistent across the board. He could give two shits about what society thought of him; he only cared about what his family thought of him. Everyone else? Only enough that his kingdom can stay afloat. Does this attitude bite him in the ass sometimes? Most definitely. But, for what he has planned, it might work out just fine. 

And without skipping a beat, he turned to Luigi. “Babe.”

“Hmm?”

“Can I ask ya somethin’?”

Luigi put a hand on his chest, “Of course!”

“I want you to make me a dress.”

Ahh I'm tempted to write a oneshot, or possibly a shortfic, where Reader is at Lake Lapcat with Bowser when the whole Bowser's Fury events happen. And, at the end when Bowser is turned back to his normal self, he's worried he'd scared off Reader but they're just happy that he's okay.

Maybe Reader ends up with some cuts and scrapes after helping Mario with the Catshines and keeping Junior safe. I don't know.

I might write it, but if I do it'll have to be after I finish writing Passion Fruit Grows Sweet because I cannot prioritise.

Lake Lapcat's Location

So many people have the belief that Lake Lapcat is either another dimension or was created by Bowser Junior using his paintbrush. This however, is not the case.

So when traveling around Lake Lapcat you will notice there are crashed Airships. In addition in the credits Bowser Jr.'s drawings depict the cause of the events of the games. It shows Bowser and Bowser Junior used the Airships to get to Lake Lapcat. This means Lake Lapcat is not a dimension nor was created by Bowser Junior, but is in fact an actual place one can get to via airship.

So where exactly is it? Well given the presence of clear pipes and the abundance of Super Bells, I believe this place is probably somewhere near the Sprixie Kingdom, and is probably where the Sprixie Kingdom gets the Super Bells from.

Different Universes of Energy

After the multiple times of collecting energy being a goal/plot point in various Transformers media, I couldn't help but write this. A list that involves different energy sources from different fandom universes. The ones I'll be choosing are either very plentiful or have a large variety.

Marioverse

Oh yeah. We're starting with the series that has a clusterfuck of magical items. Mario practically beats everything on this little list from how many alternate power sources any Transformer can gather. Cat Shines from Lake Lapcat, Shine Sprites of Del Defino, Power Stars to Grand Stars found across the stars and the latest Power Moons scattered all over the world.

I ain't forgetting about the spinoff games either which has their own flavor for powerful collectibles. These are also the easiest to attain since there are many ways to acquire them. You can find one out in the wild, purchase from a store(Power Moons), win through competitions, etc.

Team Autobots wouldn't have much trouble following these rules. In fact, it's probably a fun break from the usual hardships as scavenging in the midst of a war is difficult. Getting coins is easy since coin blocks are common to find and some bots such as Bumblebee would find the games fun.

The Decepticons would have to follow things by the Marioverse rules though. I ain't joking either as there are many ways for inhabitants to send them packing. Powerups especially the Mini Mushroom, Mega Mushroom, Giga Catbell and Super Star.

One little Mini 'Shroom is enough to shrink Megatron to the size of a guinea pig then shove his ass into a cage. A bloke can become a giant through the Mega Mushroom or gargantuan sphinx via Giga Catbell and yeet Starscream across the kingdom. Can't forget the Super Star's invinciblity as Decepticons drop like flies thanks to pure rainbow power.

Every bit of technology in this universe is more advanced but also sometimes mystical. There's literally a vacuum cleaner capable of sucking up ghosts, go-carts that can ignore the laws of gravity, actual magic, to even stars that can grant wishes.

There's also the kingdoms who won't take invaders too kindly either. Bowser definitely gonna declare war and he's got a wide array of technology to pack a nasty punch. The Koopa King is quite a threat when you look at the spinoffs such as the RPGs. Plus he has teamed up with Mario multiple times should the need arise.

Speaking of the plumber, he definitely get involved alongside his friends. The Mario and Luigi RPGs to even Mario + Rabbids shows he can do more than just jump. Latter series literally gave him a gun which later got upgraded to dual blasters.

Best play nice or get your ass kicked by someone no bigger than your little toe.

Knackverse

Next up is the PS4 launch title series, Knack! There are two different types of energy sources that are very very abundant: relics and sunstones. Everything technological in this universe are powered by either one or both sources.

Sunstones are crystalized sunlight that can be found about everywhere. Caves, mountains, grass plains, and even in someone's backyard. They are often used to generate electricity whether through generators, electrical plants or even lamp posts.

Now relics are a bit harder to find. These can be found underground or in ancient structures so mining might be required. Relics produce relic energy which is often used to power vehicles, generators, weapons, etc.

Everything can be obtained without messing with the locals. Although either faction might have to go through a scrapheap to see how relics are used to generate power. They definitely be a bit confused for awhile as these ancient artifacts are essentially spun around akin to a hamster wheel.

Decepticons will have some very painful retaliation if they try to steal relics and sunstones from the populace. The Crystal Wars is proof that humans here act like space orcs but also still do. Ryder and Doctor Vargas literally threw hands with goblins the size of them. The same goes for the latter.

I don't think goblins would be too pleased with otherworldly invaders taking their resources either. Advancement in technology can also prove these aren't people to mess with. Airships are more common, vehicles don't drive on tires, there are tanks that can create forcefields and fire lasers.

Ancient goblin weaponry have been rebuilt. Every one remains a force to be reckoned with. Cannot forget about the people's protector: Knack. He has fought a lot of mechanical foes in various sizes(for both parties).

Decepticons will be fighting on his turf and that's a huge disadvantage on its own. Super Sunstones to grant temporary invinciblity, the Ultimate Move which can destroy barriers/forcefields, super moves that range from solar lightsabers to even a relic tornado. Knack is a crafty motherfucker and can pummel any Cybertronian who dares disturb the peace.

I'm pretty sure a relic haymaker to the faceplate will be hard to dent out.

JNDverse

Last but not least, we have Eco from the Jak and Daxter series. The closest in comparison to Cybertron's Energon from their respective origins but also diversity. Each has different unique properties depending on the color. Their origin being from a long lost civilization/creators now cascaded in mystery.

Eco is very abundant and manifests all over the world. The main source being Eco Vents which constantly spurts it out in a gaseous form. Large liquid pools can also be found but it's highly likely that its Dark Eco, the most corruptive of all types.

Crystals are another way to gather it so mining will be required. Even various wildlife drop eco upon death but not much. There are many ways to gather the stuff without stirring a fuss.

Huge advancements in technology is very common as the most common transport are hovercraft style vehicles like zoomers. Dune buggies are utilized in the deserts with some being capable of jumping large gaps or bust down fortresses from sheer firepower. Eco can also power weaponry.

Weapons powered by this natural energy can have all sorts of abilities that depends on the color. Short range shockwaves, gravity inverters, ricocheting bullets, etc. They don't lack on firepower especially if one has a Morphgun which can use all Eco types by switching cartridges.

Now the Decepticons will face retaliation by disturbing the peace but here it varies. Some cities such as Haven have too many civilians and incompetent military forces to properly protect themselves. *Looks at all the missions alongside lack of self defending NPCs in Haven*

Areas such as Spargus will retaliate immediately since EVERYONE has been trained to fight and is armed. It makes sense because most of the city's population are people exiled to the wastelands by Haven. Can't forget about the Demolition Duo.

Jak and his companion has tackled a variety of opponents including giant robots. The latter were made with Precursor metal which is very hard to break through and probably more durable than Cybertronian metal. Both had wrecked it.

Jak has a variety of Eco cartridges for his Morphgun but can also rely on his Eco Channeling abilities. He can transform into powerful forms through Light and Dark Eco. The destructive animalistic Dark Jak or the angelic time stopping Light Jak.

It's best to be wary unless you want a Dark Eco blast through the spark chamber.

I want to talk about my cringy self-insert Mario OC, if you don't mind.

I've been having trouble coming up with a good name for them, so I've just been calling them Mara (the name of an old S/I from a childhood fandom). Nothing else seems to stick, so that's what I'm going with for now. :P

They're a non-binary transmasc catboy. They weren't a catboy originally; they used to be a normal human, but after being stranded alone in Lake Lapcat for several years, they mutated into a cat hybrid like everything else in that place. (How they ended up in that situation, I don't know.)

After years of mostly being alone, Bowser and Bowser Jr. show up. The Bowser's Fury incident occurs, and Mara hides in fear the entire time.

Sometime after this, Mario and Luigi go to Lake Lapcat together for whatever reason. Mara realizes that Mario was the one who stopped Bowser and decides he's trustworthy. However, they do still have social anxiety, so they still hide. Mario and Luigi eventually coax them out.

Mara ends up bonding with the Bros, and decides to leave with them. Adjusting to life in the Mushroom Kingdom is difficult for them, but Mario and Luigi are there for them every step of the way. And of course they eventually fall in love with Luigi because that's the main reason this character was created lmao

They're shy and socially anxious, distrustful of most people, have abandonment issues, have a bit of a temper, don't understand social stuff, swear a lot, and are very sarcastic. They're also naive, have high empathy, have a good sense of humor, love food, and are super affectionate towards people they manage to bond with (especially Luigi). They've been treated horribly in the past, and are trying to learn how to open their heart again.

Due to being a cat hybrid, they behave like a cat much of the time. This makes their social awkwardness even worse. And yes, they can purr. They enjoy being pet on the head (especially by Luigi)

They're short, around the same height as Mario (maybe slightly shorter). They have a similar skin tone to Mario and Luigi (I guess?). They're pretty scrawny when Mario and Luigi first find them, but put on a lot more weight later on (gaining a similar body type to Mario I guess?). They have short, messy dark brown hair and green eyes. They have dark circles under their eyes. They wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Their cat ears and tail are the same color as their hair. They have tiny fangs. They might have claws too idk
