Hii! That's a very good question! So Lunar Return Chart is pretty similar to Solar Return Chart, except that it is focused on the moon. While the Sun takes a year to come back, the Moon takes a month, so your Lunar Return Chart change every month. It will tell you how your month will go, what will most likely happen. I have never been through a lot of Lunar RC but I will try yo make an observation post now! I hope you will like it :)

Etc. Jam 2024 has concluded, and here are the results!

Before we get into it, just a reminder that Etc. Jam will be moving to the start of the year, and will take place before Ghost Jam. That means we'll be hosting another one in a few months, so keep an eye out if you'd like to participate!

This year's event was announced at the last minute, so there wasn't as much participation as last year. Even so, there were 8 projects by 7 participants!

Of those projects, 3 of them were balloons, and there was one shell, freeshell, calendar skin, guide, and plugin.

3 projects were completed in just 24 hours, completing the 24 hour challenge, and 3 users completed the variety challenge by creating at least 2 projects of different types!

Shortly after her death in late 2022, fans of country music legend Loretta Lynn began circulating a petition to get a state park renamed in the Kentucky native’s honor.

Now, in 2024, that campaign may be making some inroads as the Kentucky Department of Parks officially explores options for honoring the star.

The Change.org petition has drawn more than 25,000 signatures, and during 2023 legislative session, the idea won support in the form of Senate Resolution 110.

That resolution, sponsored by state Sen. Robin Webb, D-Grayson, “urges the Department of the Parks to create a committee of diverse stakeholders to identify the best methods of honoring Loretta Lynn in our park system.”

The resolution also requests the parks department report to the Legislative Research Commission possible solutions and “a recommendation for future legislative action” by Jan. 1, 2024.

Now, the department seems to be following up on that request.

In a recent memo to the director of the LRC, Kentucky Parks Commissioner Russ Meyer detailed some of the options the department is proposing. The agency shared the letter in response to a Herald-Leader query.

A portion of that letter reads, “Through discussions with diverse interests and assessment of the system needs, the Department recommends the following potential solutions:

“1) The construction of a statue of Loretta Lynn to be placed in the grassy area of the roundabout at the entrance to Paintsville Lake State Park. While there is no funding currently available for this honor, private funds could be leveraged through a partnership with the Kentucky Parks Foundation and a fundraising campaign.

“2) In the future after current statewide park needs have been addressed, perform a feasibility study on the construction of a new lodge at Paintsville Lake State Park named for Loretta Lynn. The evaluation will include reviewing area occupancy rates, park visitation rates, planning and construction costs, existing park funding sources, and the overall system wide needs of the Department,” Meyer’s letter states.

A spokesperson for the LRC referred comment about project updates to the state parks department.

It remains unclear whether specifically renaming Paintsville Lake State Park in Lynn’s honor is currently under consideration, though that is the stated goal of the fan petition.

Asked for more specifics about what goes into the decision-making process, including whether renaming the park was on the table, a Kentucky Parks Department spokesperson told the Herald-Leader, “In regard to Senate Resolution 110, the recommendation information has been provided to the General Assembly, and they will make the next step.”

Addressed to Gov. Andy Beshear and the state’s legislature and congressional delegation, the petition pushes for Paintsville Lake State Park, located in Lynn’s native Johnson County, to be renamed after the “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

“Loretta Lynn is not only Kentucky’s daughter; she is a national treasure,” the petition by organizer Carla Engle reads. “Loretta Lynn touched the nation’s heart with her down-home country charm, life story of surviving poverty and overcoming insurmountable obstacles to reach the pinnacle of success. Loretta Lynn impacted our culture and altered the course of country music forever.”

Kentucky’s own ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’

Born in Johnson County in 1932, Lynn married young. At age 20, she’d had four children with her husband, a U.S. Army veteran she met at a community pie social when she was 15. Though she would later pick up the guitar and begin singing in her spare time, talents that won her fame and success, Lynn considered herself a wife and mother above all.

“If I’m anything in this world, I’m a wife and mother,” she said in 1990. “I do enjoy my performing and musical career, but it’s my family that means most.”

Lynn’s background and family values informed her voice as an artist, spurring her signature song “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” which she recorded in 1970.

But she was also notable for her distinctly feminine point of view. With songs like “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” and birth control anthem “The Pill,” Lynn blazed the trail for women in the country music industry.

Even upon her death, she remained the most-awarded woman in country music.

Some of her many firsts include becoming the first woman in country music history to earn a certified gold album, the first woman named Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association and the first female country music artist to be honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

Allen Branscum, a Kentucky supporter of the petition, admires Lynn for her humility and for not forgetting her roots.

“She never forgot her hometown. After the coal mine disaster of 1970 where 38 miners were killed close to her area, she worked tirelessly for days promoting a benefit show she organized at Freedom Hall to benefit the families of the miners killed,” Branscum told the Herald-Leader in an email. “She’s very deserving of a lasting tribute in her home town of Paintsville.” ______________________

French author Anatole France once said, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

This quote perfectly captures the essence of “Paws for a Purpose: A Path to Warmth and Comfort,” held on November 20, 2024.

Organized by the UPLB CDC Student Council, the event featured Joshua Michael G. Jonas, a University Research Associate from the LRC-OVCSA and a passionate advocate of the UPLB BARKada and CATropa initiative—a school-based program we previously collaborated with in DEVC 126. Accompanying him was his beloved PAWtner, Sylvie, whose calm and affectionate presence became the heart of the event. Together, they introduced the UPLB Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI) Program, a thoughtful initiative aimed at providing students with emotional and social support through animal companionship.

Listening to Mr. Jonas’ discussion about how the AAI Program aligns with the university’s commitment to promoting mental well-being was truly enlightening. It made me realize how Sylvie ideally embodied the program’s purpose, radiating joy and comfort to everyone present. His gentle presence reminded us of the profound role animals could play in easing burdens and fostering meaningful connections, even during the most stressful times.

This event was more than just an informative session—it became a sanctuary for us students, to pause, reflect, and recharge. Amid looming deadlines and academic pressures, it served as a timely reminder of the healing power of small acts of care, such as spending time with animals.

As the semester draws to an end, Anatole France’s words take on even deeper significance. Animals like Sylvie awaken parts of our souls, bringing peace, healing, and a renewed sense of connection.

The AAI Program exemplifies this truth, fostering a community of care and compassion when it is needed most.

I don't think it means bad because there aren't anything bad in the 12H as aspects and placements, I just think it means having spiritual awakening because of relationships, it can also means knowing a secret about your lover, or someone you love, or an enemy! Discovering a secret enemy. My case is very specific because it's connected to some houses, so I won't talk about it too much lol. One of my best friend had 7H ruler in 12H and it was also Jupiter, and she learned some good tea about the man she loves, and she was happy discovering that secret.

₊˚⊹♡ If 9H Ruler is Mercury, it can mean you can learn a new language this month, or practice more, and even in the country itself!

₊˚⊹♡ 3H with Saturn conjunct Neptune means some miscommunications happening! Where the 3H Ruler is, is why or what about! If North Node is there too, you could need to work on it this month.

₊˚⊹♡ In my case, I have it in 3H and conjunct DSC too. It means the problem of communication can happen in the relationship and because both people don't share enough.

₊˚⊹♡ Jupiter conjunct Moon 6H is a big sign of having a better mental health this month!

₊˚⊹♡ I forgot! The 9H is not only about travel but it's also about In Laws! So having a stellium there, 7H or 5H ruler being in the 9H could be a big sign of meeting your IL.

₊˚⊹♡ So 11H Ruler in 9H could be a sign also of meeting In-Laws.

₊˚⊹♡ And if the 4H Ruler is in 9H, it can also means living at your IL's place for a while.

♀I feel like I've been rather preachy this month (sharing my real thoughts & opinions more than usual) both online & offline.

My LRC sun is in Scorpio (°22 Capricorn) in the 9th house too damn.

The “kill or be killed” degree as people in the know would call it, often seen as a critical turning point in one's life. In the SRC, LRC or natal & any other persona chart even, it illuminates certain pivotal decisions in our life journey.

In my case I think I've just had about enough crap in my life. It's as if I've been living some sort of double life pretending to be clueless about a lot of things when I'm offline. It's getting tiresome.

I realise if you act ingenuinely ya get bogus ass people in your life, then end up being their "accomplice" ʕ⁠´⁠•⁠ ⁠ᴥ⁠•̥⁠`⁠ʔ it's not fun. It's tiring.

The aquarius rising & aries degree also supports this; no more pretending. The same goes for Saturn & Neptune (both in retrograde) here. Feels like a long time coming.

Ugh I was so excited to make this post!! I personally love to make observations on Lunar Return because it's very accurate and very interesting! Also I feel like it deserves more attention so I love to make observations at least once a month on it. I hope you can love more Lunar Return Charts! Batch combine LRC file into FLAC metadata based on their respective file name? Hi I've been trying to get synced lyrics for my music files. I try getting that using LRCGET which is a tool that refers to LRCLIB to extract synced lyrics. I've done every music lyrics synced and it shows up when using Foobar. The issue im having is that LRCGET instead of changing the metadata of my FLAC file, instead it adds a LRC file of the same name where Foobar picked it up. I don't like having an additional file for every FLAC I have.Solution I have found so far is using mp3tag to edit the metadata one by one. This will take a crazy amount of time tho and I am already sick of it.
