i got some items that were on wishlist due to the ag summer sale!
favs: maryellen’s model rocket kit (so cute!! and it works?!!!), courtney’s shirt and tie (it’s actually super soft and nice and the tie is easily removed. and the buttons are real!), and gwynn’s skating outfit (the material of the main outfit is super lovely and soft, and the tiny skates are adorable)
i am only disappointed in two things: the bottoms of claudie’s tap shoes are plastic for some reason 😭, and the guards for gwynn’s skates will NOT stay on lol

Himman and Summiya#the latter of whom just happens to be Zaheer’s older sister#but he ran away from home years before these two were born so he most likely isn’t even aware of their existence#I mean. I’m sure he suspects his sisters had children. but that’s the extent of what he knows#anyway#quite a few headcanons came to mind as I was drawing so I’m gonna type them out while I can still function#(haven’t slept for two nights in a row. I’m starting to doubt whether I’m actually alive or not)#Liba is older by about a year but once they grow up a little it’s barely noticeable and people assume they’re twins#over time they stop bothering to correct them because really. they’re so close they might as well be#they were both burn with port wine stain birthmarks on their faces. much to their mother’s dismay#she has a whole perfectionism complex and needed her children to reflect that to maintain the family image#thus they were taught how to hide the marks early on. but the powder makes them constantly sneeze#liba is very self conscious about it bc of what her mother put in her head. Abyan less so bc while he’s expected to be perfect#his future doesn’t depend on his looks. he always tries to comfort his sister whenever she spirals too deep. no matter that she’s older#when no one is around to hear he calls her Lili <3 it annoyed her at first so she dubbed him Yanyan in retaliation#but over time they both grew to love the nicknames and now use them unironically#they’re the ultimate partners in crime. their goal? gaining as much freedom from their mother as possible#and sooner or later they will manage to do so permanently. which will make Summiya fall apart. but that is currently Kat’s domain#speaking of. hi Kat. I know you’ve already seen this in pencil but look! I coloured them!!#the birthmarks were both kinda annoying and rather fun to do. maybe I’ll change them later. I was too tired to look at refs so I improvised#and there’s no detail in clothing since again. 0 energy whatsoever. but once I refine their full body designs I shall go all out#that reminds me I need to go collect my new sketchbook. might do it on the way home from the store#okay I’m getting distracted. is this my very unsubtle way of trying to influence Kat to write that Summiya fic?#maybe. maybe not. you can’t prove anything 😁

I just have to say that any woman character with long hair who mucks about without putting her hair up is deeply, atrociously unserious.
Goes for guys too ofc, but women are notoriously bad. Lady fighter with long, free hair in a brawl with a bunch of other people?

#she dresses up very pretty for royal balls and banquets held by other kingdoms#mikhail only goes to those things for diplomacy reasons#wants to remind everyone that he's not uncivilized like certain countries propaganda would have you believe#he enjoys it a lot more once he can show off his wife tho lol#the first time he brings her is especially fun seeing everyone's faces#everyone expects his wife to be some kind of barbarian or something#they know he's the last of his species but in their minds they never quite imagine his wife would be so small and cute#despite her family's insistence that minette is so undesirable bc of her disability and infertility so many ppl at the balls#always express how jealous they are and how they can't believe the wolf man nabbed such a beauty#it can be annoying dealing with the especially ignorant royals#but outside of a certain ring of kingdoms there's countries who are way more tolerant and provide trade and supplies to mikhail's kingdom#and minette enjoys all the attention she gets at these events despite being shy at first#and of course it makes the events way less grueling for mikhail bc he has someone who represents the country who's way more socialable#and he gets to be proud of all the envious looks his way lollll#minette is my darling oc she is my little princess

yknow i have a lot of aus in my brain but the one currently spinning in my lobes is a stardust au. like. honestly it really works both ways like. i feel like thematically it's probably more appropriate for ted to be the star, changing trent's life forever, but my first thought was like. michelle asks ted to bring her a star, because he's always trying so hard to please her and she needs space and he will literally pluck a star from the sky if it means making her happy--only instead he finds a man where that star fell (he's beautiful, but ted tries not to notice) who's rather disgruntled with being on the ground, suddenly. and like. idk man i'd have to watch the movie again to really get into this au either way but i am just spinning it. slowly rotating it.
#like i appreciate that star!ted probably makes more sense but i just have this like#really really strong mental image of trent half on the ground#hair in his face and disheveled and in a crater and so far from home so alone. and he's just. glowing. shining#anyway there'd be a lot of logistics to work out--presumably michelle and ted are already divorced or can somehow work that out BEFORE#the whole burgeoning romance#and like. how do the kids fit in? i can definitely make henry fit but would crimmlet 😭#this is stupid probably but i just have the image of like when theyre with teh sky pirates#trent--a STAR--coming across a little stowaway#and yes that whole montage of like. swordfighting + dancing + bonding with the pirates but also trent. accidentally acquires. a daughter!#a whole daughter. that's an entire child#but like. this is beginning to really skew from the actual plot of stardust but that's okay i'm going off vibes#so like. trent is falling in love (something something star falling from the sky?) and he knows that ted is tryin gto bring him back#to the person he really loves#that he's a catalyst for ted's happiness but not the cause#and he expects ted to let him down gently#and like. he imagines a million ways it'll go and in the best ones ted still worries about him and wants to be his friend#and trent tells him not to worry because he doesn't want to go back to the sky anymore. he has a little girl to look after.#so they can still be friends. #This man is one of those big guys with a kitten or a chihuahua‚ isn't he?#He is actually adorable and it makes the pictures of him softly handling birds while he looks at them with extreme tenderness gain layers#I love that he had read about the grimalkin in old texts‚ so appropriate. And that he was suspicious of the scam‚ so fitting#I found very cute that he made a comment about it not being an invasive species#But I adore that he couldn't turn down the offer 'after petting those tender little paws'. Truly this man is adorable haha#He called it 'Mimi' because he expected it to be cute and tiny and he got himself a lion this man is absurd and adorable I can't xD#And I love how he is not fazed by much including public opinion. How he says to Fu Xuan that about him facing the consequences as a joke#but perhaps with some truth and how he says here 'Qingzu was worried that could be bad for me‚ but I didn't think too much of it#and told her not to worry. In my opinion‚ «The Glutton General» sounds more impressive than «The Dozing General»'#Oh I love him so hahaha#However everything is cancelled. Not Jing Yuan‚ Blade‚ Fu Xuan‚ Sampo or Jingliu. My favourite character is Qingzu. We stan a funny liar#The reference to Doraemon got me lol#I can't stop thinking about Jing Yuan holding Yanqing with such tenderness in the context of these lines#And the birds. And the Yanqing—birds... parallelism? which I love.
