im with you, anon 😭 especially with our South American players with the upcoming Copa América.

as a south american myself, it would be wise if they didn't travel (while it would be amazing to win la Copa, i don't expect my country to get too far in the tournament cause my dearest Lucho cannot do everything by himself) cause shit gets ugly reallyyyy fast in our football. players over here loooooooove their dirty tackles especially those from certain countries that know that they can get away with many things cause they are more successful than others (just like certain countries in other regions lol). many of our matches are aggressive and borderline violent when you see how hard they play each other even without dirty tackles 💀

i will never forget Copa América 2015 and 2016, those two tournaments were filled with fights almost every single match. competitiveness here seems to jump straight from normal competitiveness to violence within like 5 minutes of the game starting lmao.

i remember one Colombia vs. Brazil match ended in a fight after tensions just kept rapidly rising as the match progressed. the whole thing exploded when Neymar kicked the ball just so it could hit a Colombian player and in retaliation a Colombian player came running and pushed Neymar which only helped to make things go even crazier. the whole thing became a meme and many were kinda happy cause goddamn, Neymar was so fucking annoying during that tournament 💀 (not that he has changed tbh, he seems to be getting worse as he gets older).

and oh my god, while this specific moment was not really aggressive or anything, there was this one match (Chile vs. Uruguay) where a Chilean player put a finger up an Uruguayan player's ass (Cavani, out of all people 😭) and the one who got sent off was Cavani after he lightly slapped the other guy and he, as football players do, dramatically fell to the ground holding his face as if he had just gotten punched within an inch of his life. However, the match as a whole was aggressive as hell. Crazy match tbh.

later, the whole thing got reviewed and the Chilean player got suspended for like three matches lmaoo. some look at him or hear his name and go "oooh, that's the guy that put his finger up Cavani's ass".

i remember watching that match with my family and we all just looked at each other all confused cause "did that guy really put his finger up Cavani's ass??? 👁️👁️" and then got mad when Cavani got sent off as if we were Uruguayans cause no one but Chileans were rooting for Chile during that tournament lmaooo.

I confess, I don’t watch a lot of South American football, but when I do, it always leaves an everlasting impression lol. Those players truly play football like they are in war, but hey, violence can be entertaining - especially if the drama is not happening to your favorites, but rather rivals haha. I’m so afraid of this international break, ngl, my favourite ever player is finally back from injury in our nt after 1,5 years and I just know if he goes down even with the lightest tackle I will be clutching my pearls lol. And of course with Domi too, or any players really. They also suffer from the passion disease and act like they are fighting for our country’s independence or something. It’s just a friendly, please protect yourself!!

Okay, okay, so I finally educated mysef on the James Corden X BTS conflict. I wanna say first, his joke of all fans being 15 y/o girls is so irritatingggggg. Not because it's rude but because it's such a normalised perception that boy bands are just for preteens and young teens. I've spent years being made fun of and judged for loving kpop, and boy bands. (High school was not fun fam lolololol) I still pretend I'm buying stuff for friends when I grab BTS merch at shops cause I'm 26 and know people gonna judge. (I'm working on it jrifooof hard to be nice to myself when I was a pariah for everything 🤣🤣🤣)

His joke wasn't inappropriate as a whole (societally) because that's the perception of boy bands. I think that's something that pisses me off the most. I'm glad BTS is helping normalise the love of boy bands in all age groups. Even if it's just in one area, we need to stop pinholing people's interests based on things like age, gender, experience, etc, etc.

Honestly, I'm more offended by how he nonchalantly said BTS didn't belong at the UN. He could have spun it to say the boys got there because they're not just a boy band, they're humanitarians. Instead he was like "ROFL boy band at UN, bubble heads with sparkles got brains???" (Not literally tho lmaoo, that's just the vibe I got 🤣).

I died watching his apology cause at one point he grabbed Jimin's hand and the boy just let his hand be floppy, and eventually Corden just let go. Jungkook kept doing his tongue in cheek thing and tilting his head (the way he does when things don'tmatch up), and Jhope's eyes were just coooooold. His smile was weak too, the boy sucks at hiding his emotions. Yoongi, oooof, he did NOT unfold those arms. Sope was really reacting like the whole apology was a joke in and of itself. Seokjin??? Wooow, I never thought I would see contempt on his face. But he, wooow. Certain moments I could see being used for yandere prompts cause boi was not pleased. RIP Taehyung cause he was obviously trying to be cool but kept slipping. I think he had really liked Corden before they got to see how he was off the show :/

They were pissed, and rightfully so. Sucks that I'm the internet explorer of cultural moments though 🤣🤣🤣 I am always late to the party. Would have been nice to be active when it was booming and see other people's opinions.

A Review About June'S Route

p.s. i'm just on day 4 so read at ur own risk ! i'm gonna talk about my impressions on him TT

first things first, i was so shocked to find that he was already inlove with us...... lol you know that chatting sims u have to kinda steal their hearts and bc of that i didn't really thought about the things i would actually say. i would look through a guide to win them.... ;_; but with June, that wasn't needed at all. i just act like myself towards him and that makes the experience more real (i'm not sure if it's only with June tho, other love interests can be like that too lolol)

he was so ready.... lmaoo i love his energy too much, he matches with my vibe so well. he is just so my type 😭 i think he is pretty cute too

his smile just melts my heart T_T i wish he was real ughhhh

noww....let's move on to the serious part (lmao)

he is so relatable. the way he doesn't want to talk about some things at first but when he feels comfortable reminds me of me... lol me with my ex to be exact TT

now when we let this thing aside, his family situation is also similar to me.
