Now tell me why Simeon, who is a freaking angel (spoilers: well not anymore) from Obey Me, which is originally a dating sim has an actual dark brown skin tone compared to the majority of the genshin cast where it's supposedly inspired by cultures or cities with a lot of dark or tan skinned people. Skin Representation IS IMPORTANT 🤗 cause look at this:

Guess I've glazed twst a lot when it comes to character designs but damn at least they TRY to be somewhat accurate and at least HAVE more than 1 characters with REAL MELANIN (I think they should give these characters even darker skin tone ngl but it's better than whatever genshin was trying to do with their playable characters ig) 😭 I know it's not a perfect game as it has problems and flaws (Whoever approved of Leona's whitewashed liongarb groovy card I will haunt you, especially since the cloud calling festival event is happening in english server) but you can see the creators actually try to properly portray representation in-game unlike SOME COMPANY

One of my favorite things that happened during my last mage Hawke playthrough was during the final battle against Meredith. Everything's going well. We're kicking her ass, she's got just this much health left, we're so close... but then everyone gets stunned dizzy.

Hawke is stumbling around all confused, seeing stars. The rest of his companions are stunned. I'm annoyed because I just want to end this fight. Don't know how or who did it, probably Meredith, but the situation's dire.

Meredith's standing by herself at the center of the Gallows, shouting nonsense and smugly believing the Maker's going to come down and make her his new bride after she murdered a bunch of innocent people.

Truly, this is the part of the story where Varric says they all thought hope was lost, that in the end, Meredith would pull a fast one on us and claim victory...

Until the REAL hero of dragon age 2 comes storming at her. I don't know why Carver was the only one to not be affected, but he literally jumped out of no where and just started bashing Meredith with his sword while everyone else was too dizzy to do anything until she was dead and the cutscene played.

"Hawke defeated Meredith-" LIES, VARRIC. I know the truth! I was there! Hawke didn't do shit! Carver Hawke was the main character all along! He got shit done and Varric gave Hawke all the credit!

I bring this up because last night I finished my warrior Hawke run and when we got to the fight with Meredith, I kind of hoped the same thing would happen where Bethany dashed in all heroic and got the killing blow on Meredith.

She did not.

She got squished by a statue.

But it's fine, Bethany Hawke was the true main character in my heart.

If it wasn't for the TMAGP ARG snippets I probably wouldn't be as obsessed about Sam but oh my goddd with what tiny we know about him I'm not over it. He's got a canon birthday (!!! He's 33 at the start of the show! It's p cool to know that tbh!) so we know when the Institute burned down, he was 9 year old. So at nine, maximum, he went through the Institute's child experiment. That's age he went through potentially a version of the Milgrim experiment! Mr. Spider whom, this child might have actively tortured someone because he was told to?? And that's probably the terrible event that was brought up in the interview but maybe it wasn't! Maybe it's something worse!! Oh no!!!

The guy scored the highest in empathy in the entire test group at 98% and now his job is experiencing other people's horrors like of course he can't help but look into them, of course he can't help but internalize them when Alice has warned him of what can happen, I'm so worried about this man!!!

I feel like... Perhaps... Arguing that transphobia is defined by murder and that anything other than murder doesn't even matter... May NOT be conducive to fighting for trans rights.

Like... people want the right to exist as they are. They want to have access to hrt and surgeries and prosthetics. People want access to clothes that fit them and reflect how they want to be seen. People want access to medical care (eg. Getting screened and treated for sex-based forms of cancer can be impossible if you have the "wrong" sex listed to receive those tests). People want to be respected and treated well. People want to not be sexually assaulted and beaten and abused. People want to have access to housing and jobs, and the protection to not lose those things for being trans. People want access to shelters for homeless people or survivors of domestic abuse. People want name changes.

Acting like all of those things don't matter because at least they weren't murderered by an individual (and instead die of suicide or state violence, or survive and suffer) isn't okay.

Ouh. I really like how out of all the antagonists in the series, Prism's motivations (and her turning to Zoraxis) are directly influenced by Phoenix's track record. She has the most personal beef with the agent, though it's a little ironic that her TK implant helped the agent's success. If it weren't for Prism, Phoenix wouldn't be the legend that they are known for.

...Except...That's minimizing Phoenix's own ingenuity and skill with the implant, isn't it? It's a useful tool, yes! But in the end, it's just a tool. Phoenix was able to use it in unique ways, and that's not counting whatever else Phoenix has to do in the moment without TK. If it weren't for Phoenix's own efforts (and their strange ability to not Die), Prism wouldn't be forced to take revenge.

They're their own self-made people, but inevitably they left such a huge impact on each other before the third game...and if Prism wasn't the one who personally added the implant in Phoenix's head, then they haven't even interacted in person!

It could be seen as a little tragic, and it sorta is--Prism's desire for revenge is a little misplaced (and, yes, it is bolstered by Zor when she switches to their side). For all we know, Phoenix never intended to be the villain in Prism's story. But Prism's frustrated and angry and devastated about being reduced to the One Project she made. She just wanted to make something bigger than herself.

And it's really nice to see Phoenix help her once she recognizes that Zor's been using her all this time...even if it takes some time for Prism to really let them help her.

It takes the combination of their unique skills, brainpower, and their eventual trust in one another to destroy Zor's volcano kinesium base. Prism gets saved by the person she thought made her dreams impossible, and in return, Phoenix gets saved in the one IEYTD ending where they're not declared legally dead. I feel like that's something interesting? Because this is also the one finale where Phoenix has an active ally working with them close to their side (...as close as Prism and Phoenix could get, anyway).

Well. Anyway. What was I talking about? Enemies who are closely intertwined with one another's journeys end up becoming each other's most important allies? Okay, yeah. Let's go with that.

Who's the cold caller?

That's Percival Wrenchit! A department-transfer Cold Caller who's working under Chip Revvington as an intern. Ignore the fact ey aren't in any official records. Or that eir intern position seems to be unending. Or that eir last date of work was in Sellbot HQ in 2018. Or that you never see Perry and Percival in the same room.

In all seriousness, Percival is Perry...'s cog disguise. Custom-made with the help of a certain Mr. Fear and Loathing in order to make it look as authentic as possible, to be undetected by even the greatest of toon-sniffing scent detectors. Of course, Mr. FaL's intentions maaaaay have been a little iffy. Being able to keep Perry in C.O.G.S. Inc... maybe get em to be an official hire... and Perry, being how ey were, was stuck with an office job for a while. This... maaaay have led to a few identity crisis's where ey kept forgetting ey're a toon, but this was way back in 2018.

Present-day, this disguise made a come-back... in the form of Mr. Revvington getting a bit too upset over the fact that this strange, silent critter has somehow been getting his brother's blessing for two weeks, yet all ey're doing is just standing like a statue in his office with eir eyes on the floor. Pretty sure ey've sweat bullets to the point the rug's had to be cleaned from something other than cake stains. Regardless, he eventually had enough and figured if Perry was going to be stubborn in visiting him, ey might as well make emself useful. He knows toons take parts in order to build their own disguises, despite the fact they always come out at the very least a little off, to at most straight into uncanny valley for the trained eye. At least this one's got more effort put into it. He doesn't want to see a critter in his office (despite the fact eir first tasks are things such as cleaning the halls, fetching him oil or cogfee, or retrieving certain documents that specifically have information that wouldn't be useful to the resistance. He has absolutely no trust in em at this point and thinks ey could very well be a spy. He's being smart about it.), not to mention the eyebrows that might raise. So shoving em in eir disguise and having em be a department-transfer intern is a good cover-up story.
