The ending to IEYTD 3 is so.... bitter sweet?
Not even the monologue from Prism- just, bear with me.
You save the world. For the third time you save the world. And what is your reward? Someone made sure you survived, and you're left on a remote beach in the middle of nowhere as a "vacation".
We hear time and time again that Phoenix is amazing, one of a kind, people talk about how they're wonderful, how people are joining the EOD en masse because Phoenix has accomplished so much, done so many impressive things, they've saved the EOD so many times! And what is their reward for all of this?
They get to lay alone. On a desolate beach. Surrounded by the rubble of another successful mission. There's no worry for them.
Nobody thinks to have them checked for heatstroke, for other injuries, to check on their TK implant after they'd pushed it straight past its limits and blacked out from the sheer strain of it.
They're not given a medal, a title, the most they get is an announcement on the radio and time alone on a ruined beach. A testament to the fact that all of their work is appreciated, but not truly valued by the EOD.
Even after all that, they can get back to their base in Babadag, sit down, and be told by the handler that the EOD will get them back in a proper office as soon as possible... in a few years.
They don't care. They will never care.
And Phoenix's reward is only granted to them by their Handler telling them they could. I don't think Reginald asked if Phoenix could have the time off, he just told them to take their time.
It was a kindness granted by a friend, not a moment of appreciation from the EOD.

In panel one he is listening to Ollie talk with his hands under his chin. Ollie: After all this time I can finally leave! I can’t thank you enough Zoraxis AI: Welcome to our state-of-the-art Zoraxis escape pod Panel 2: Ollie: Oh this pod seems very safe :] take it easy who ever you are and thanks again! I hope I see you again someday! Agent Phoenix is weeping into his hands. end ID]

Okay so I’m replaying ieytd 1 rn and I’m on operation: winter break, right? Tell me why Zor owns a copy of the eod suduction handbook????
Gonna do a line break here before I ramble for too long
So like, I can’t see a reason why they’d have it in the first place? It’s nestled between other books such as; just shoot them: common pitfalls of eccentric villainy, the essential guide to evil taxidermy, guidelines: secret compartments. So why would it appear with them? They have no correlation, and I don’t see why it would need to be in their secret cabin out in the middle of nowhere.
I suppose, in a sense we get a glimpse into Zor’s mind and personality. We see that they like research as showcased by the books on crystals and gravity manipulation. But I suppose that the seduction handbook is more so nestled between the personal ‘interests’ section of the shelf. Taxidermy while, odd in a sense could be a personal hobby of Zors. We even see secret compartments in the cabin that would likely feature in the corresponding book.
It just makes no sense. Why would they have that book— Stealing it is out of the question. No agent would bring that book with them on a mission. No agent would die with that on their person. So why would Zor have it?
Let’s not forget the portrait of Vitti behind the desk and the eod lighter in the safe behind it. Through the portrait of Vitti, we can infer this as a sign of a possible relationship between the two. It’s the only reason I can really justify it. Maybe Vitti stole the seduction handbook as a gag gift of sorts. Maybe Zor just took it after leaving the agency.
There’s no other way this makes sense. No other way I can think of justifying this. No other reason why they’d have the goddamn seduction handbook.

need someone else to know that prism's dialogue at the beginning of blind spot ("hmm... that's odd..." "nothing, i think. just... a glitch in the system") are labeled in the files as Dr_Prism_Aware_Comms_Hacked 1 & 2. it's incredibly important to me that as many people as possible know this
#ieytd#ieytd 3 spoilers#roxana prism#robutler's 'what's odd dr p?' quote is also something along the lines of Hello_Agent.wav which is also fantastic#which maybe implies that- if he genuinely doesn't know about phoenix outside- originally he was intended to?? which i think is kind of fun#the thought of prism whispering to her little bobot to play along is a really cute visual so that's my headcanon now

Random thought I had about Kinesium
In ieytd 3 we learn that Kinesium is the main energy source powering the tk implant in phoenix’s head,
so apparently Kinesium can become unstable in warm or hot environments and causes it to explode messing with the implant in their head.
Think back to death engine, rising phoenix, how did it end,
In a fiery crash and explosion that not only the agent survives but somehow the Kinesium in their head HASN’T BLOWN UP.
what i’m trying to say is…
HOW THE FUCK IS PHOENIX STILL ALIVE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!
#And the fact they’re like to set things on fire is probably important#Just think about it#Anyone please 🙏#ieytd#i expect you to die#ieytd3#ieytd 3 spoilers#probably

"There's something wrong with Phoenix." (alt. title: "the only reason this fucker is upright is because they're holding onto the cabin's support beam")
closeups get your closeups here
(also this is one of those cases where the lights may be on but there is very much nobody at home)
rambling & shit under the cut it's the same as usual
yknow how i said my big pieces can easily clear 80 layers. that may have been an understatement.
that one is new though. i just put it in. for effect.
anyways so uhhhh Yeah KBOOM huh. fun fact i tried to draw this three times, it was the third one that took. also here's the Blob
+ first pass of all the sections (background, cabin, phoenix. each of these were at least 4ish hours apart bc i pretty much finished each section before moving on, minus final touches at the end (a lot of the blue & purple effects were added in at the tail end))
i initially planned to put more shit in the cabin like the furniture & whatnot, but it's. really difficult to draw the back of things you can't see & also in perspective. so i didn't. pretend they shoved it all out or something idk
personal hc is that they woke up Just enough to suspend the cabin when Roxana shouted at them, to buy time. wasn't the smartest idea though bc they were already Kinda fucked up from the implant strain &. yeah they were tiptoeing a razor edge for a second there. anyway. phoenix almost breaking themself trying to survive being in this goddamn volcano.

Don’t Blow Up On Me
[You know what, Zor hacking into your radio signal and saying ominous threats at you during a high stakes mission is usually pretty scary. But when the person currently acting as your handler is a very low ranking ex-employee of theirs, it’s only a little creepy, and really more awkward than anything. Phoenix is just trying to diffuse a bomb. This fic does have some serious moments so don’t expect pure silliness.]
Phoenix mostly worked in their own little office these days. They didn’t have much of a reason to stay at any headquarters building. Still, they had to go to one sometimes, and this was the first time in a while they were really really glad they did.
They were still processing what had happened as they ran. It was all so fast. It started with filling out a survey about how well Ollie had acted as their handler while Reginald was sick. Ok, that made sense. That’s why they were there in the first place. To fill out all the required paperwork before Reginald came back to work tomorrow.
Then the alarm came with its flashing red lights, blaring sirens, and a repeating announcement of what was wrong. It started as just “SECURITY BREACH” and then suddenly became “BOMB THREAT.” Neither of those were good. They grabbed their earpiece and nodded at Ollie to show they were ready to help. Ollie quickly conversed with some other handlers. He turned to them and said “The other agents are going to take care of evacuation and look for any hidden traps or Zoraxis operatives. That leaves bomb duty to us!” He looked at the security report which had managed to calculate the general area the bomb was in. Then he looked at some old Zoraxis bomb models and used them to narrow down its location. “If my instincts are correct, it should be in the breaker room down in the basement.” Phoenix didn’t wait to be told to leave before they started running.
From the start of the alarm to the present, only a minute had passed. This whole situation was bad. Usually they would be upset to suddenly be in a situation like this, and they were, but they were still glad they came to the office when they did. If they weren’t there the bomb would probably still have been planted. They trusted the other agents to be capable of disarming a bomb, but they weren’t sure if they trusted the other agents enough to want them disarming a bomb when Ollie’s life was on the line. They wanted to be the one protecting him from this threat.
They got to the breaker room and the bomb was just… sitting there. On the floor. They were expecting it to be hidden amongst the electrical equipment or at least mounted to a wall somewhere. If they couldn’t disarm it they could probably just pick it up and move it away from the building. Hm, maybe not. It was a big bomb, almost the size of a suitcase, and it very well might explode before they could get it far enough away.
They took a crouched down and looked at it closer. They could hear it ticking but there was no visible timer. They didn’t know how much time they had.
“Agent Phoenix,” said a familiar voice in their ear, but it wasn’t Ollie’s voice or even Reginald’s. “I wasn’t expecting you. That was my mistake. You seem to have a knack for appearing at every mission I have a personal interest in.” Phoenix felt their heart beat faster. No matter how many times they heard Zor talk they couldn’t get used to it. Something about their smug tone, their unwavering conviction that they were in control, and that uncanny voice changer just made their skin crawl.
“I suppose you’ll be attempting to disarm my bomb then. Go right ahead. Convenient how we left it right there, on the ground, in plain sight. It’s almost too good to be true.” The agent instinctively looked up from the bomb and started scanning the room for hidden ones. They shouldn’t listen to Zor but they just said, or at least implied, what they were already thinking. Zor giggled ever so slightly.
“I think it’s best you don’t listen to them.” Phoenix was very relived to hear Ollie’s voice again. “If they think you’re smart enough to catch their usual tricks, they just make things simple and hope you’ll overthink it. And while I may not be familiar with this specific model, I’ve seen bombs like it, and that ticking sound is hard to replicate. It’s a real bomb, and the only bomb here.”
“Oh?” Huh. Phoenix didn’t know you could convey raising one eyebrow through nothing but the tone of your voice. “This isn’t your usual handler. How rude of you to not introduce us,” they said, as if Phoenix would ever want to give them information on other agents or was capable of saying the words needed for introductions. Ollie and Phoenix tried to ignore them.
“You’re going to have to get through the metal casing. It doesn’t have any screws, and cutting or melting through it risks the bomb going off.” Ollie paused thoughtfully. “If you could find something thin enough and strong enough to wedge between the gaps maybe you could pry it open?” Far easier said than done but Phoenix started searching the room nonetheless.
“Or maybe there’s no need to introduce us. He sounds awfully familiar… Ollie, was it?” Phoenix inhaled sharply. It was easy to forget he had actually talked to the doctor when he was such a low ranking employee. They even remembered his name. Eh, that wasn’t too surprising. You sort of need a good memory to be an evil genius like Zor.
Phoenix rummaged through a tool box that had been abandoned in a corner. “I didn’t expect to see you working for The Agency. It may be a bit cliche of me to say but, truthfully, I expected you to be dead by now. I’ll admit that I’m impressed.” Phoenix glanced at the screwdriver several times before an idea struck them. There weren’t any screws on the bomb, but the tip of the screwdriver was thin and flat. Not bad for prying things open.
They took a knee again. It was hard to get good leverage with the bomb on the floor so they kept it hovering at head height while they started trying to pry it open. Dr. Zor was still trying different angles to engage Ollie in conversation. “Perhaps I’m impressed enough to let bygones be bygones and allow you to work for me again.” That one did the trick.
“As tempting as that offer is I’m afraid I’ll have to decline on account of you trying to kill me.” When the metal finally gave way it was so sudden Phoenix almost fell. They pried the metal just a bit further until they could see the wires inside.
“Great job! Let’s see, it looks like there are 7 different colored wires… for Zoraxis bombs like that you just have to cut them in reverse rainbow order.” A bit weird, but ok. Phoenix got pliers from the tool box and began carefully cutting. The violet wire snapped in two.
“Whatever do you mean?” Zor continued as if their conversation hadn’t been interrupted by the engineering of their explosives being explained to an enemy. Phoenix cut the indigo wire. “Well, I wanted to excuse the whole leaving me at bottom of the ocean thing, you very well might’ve just forgotten and mistakes happen, but that escape pod was definitely a death trap. I was trying to keep track of all the OSHA violations but I lost count because of oxygen deprivation.”
“It was nothing personal, I assure you.” Blue wire. “That really doesn’t make it any better. Why did you even want me dead anyway?” Because you knew about the experiments, Phoenix thought. They were probably hoping you had just enough food to guard the place until Prism was dead. Then you’d starve so you couldn’t tell anyone about KBOOM. Ollie was very smart but sometimes it seemed like he was too kind to actually understand evil. Green wire.
“Even without the murder attempt a lot of the working conditions were just… bad. For all the issues The Agency has, they still try to prioritize the health of their employees. It’s hard in this line of work, but— Oh, Phoenix! Wait!” The agent froze. The blades of their open pliers surrounded the next wire perfectly still, like it was waiting for their orders to attack. “I know that wire looks like a somewhat orangey yellow, but according to Zoraxis manufacturers, that’s actually just orange. The yellow one is brighter than that.” Phoenix quickly, but even more carefully than before, pulled their pliers away. While they were still too dizzy from adrenaline to understand anyone’s words, they were vaguely aware that Ollie had returned to his previous point. How on earth did he not lose his train of thought from almost exploding?
They broke free from their haze when Zor said “I see. What if I gave you a promotion? I could even make you one of my highest ranking operatives. You’d be paid far better and you’d have my protection.”
“I WAS DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN YOU BETRAYING PRISM!”
Phoenix began tuning them both out after that. It was very weird listening to them argue. It reminded them of being a kid at a friend’s house and awkwardly standing there as their friend argued with their parents. And while Ollie never actually gave anything away, it still made Phoenix cringe whenever he almost mentioned Agency secrets in his frustration.
They still payed a little attention to the fight. It really said a lot about Ollie’s skill as a handler that despite the high stakes of their missions this was the least collected they had ever seen or heard him. Zor slowly sounded more annoyed as they realized just how many of their secrets he’d shared and just how much they’d underestimated him. It was somewhat satisfying to hear some of Zor’s smug tone dissipate.
They only listened fully when Ollie said “Phoenix” or “agent.” They still needed his instructions for the next few steps. Plus, if they’d missed their name being called earlier, well, they wouldn’t still be in this strange situation. Their strategy worked pretty well. The only time it backfired is when Ollie started talking about how kind they were to him and how he was sure they’d agree his old conditions were fair. As nice as it was they wished that they could say please just leave me out of this.
After what was probably a few minutes though it felt far longer, the bomb was finally defused, and at the same time so was the argument. It seemed Ollie had run out of things to say and Zor was finally done provoking him. Phoenix could hear interference from Zor’s radio abruptly halt as they left without a word. They weren’t sure when they stood up in all the chaos but apparently they had, because the second there was quiet, the gravity of what happened finally hit them and pulled them down to their knees.
Oh no. They almost died, didn’t they? That wasn’t anything new but it was still always a little worrying. Ollie almost dying with them was new and definitely not something they liked. But what was really sinking in was what the argument with Zor actually implied. They were very secretive and would not like an old employee of their’s alive. Especially not if they were working for The Agency and especially if he was far more clever than they originally thought he was.
Come to think of it… why did they target this building? Zoraxis as an organization would probably attack any Agency HQ they discovered but didn’t Zor say something about having a “personal interest” in this particular attack? It seemed like they genuinely weren’t expecting Phoenix so they weren’t the target. Zor knew a deserter was here. Phoenix didn’t know how but they were sure of it. Again, Zor’s struggle to recognize Ollie did seem very real, so they probably didn’t know who their ex-employee was. They know now though. Zor even successfully started an argument to get more information about him although it got a little out of hand.
This location would be abandoned now that it was compromised. Even so, Phoenix decided that as soon as they got in contact with Reginald they would tell him to get Ollie a private and well hidden office like their’s. Handler was a job with a lot of official paperwork and a lot of it had to be filled out at headquarters, but even frequent trips to one would be better than staying there all the time.
Phoenix was willing to bet Ollie didn’t realize how much danger he was in so right now it was up to everyone else to keep him safe. He helped a lot of people in this Agency. The Agency could spare a few recourses to help him. If they didn’t, then they would get a proper demonstration of just how terrifying their top agent can be. Reginald always said they were intimidating. Something about stoic silence.

Zoraxis Agent AU
Still working on the 'Spy and the Liar' Headcannons, but this little nugget wouldn't leave me alone. Don't plan to do much with this AU after this post (it gets way more depressing than I wished it would), but mayb someone might enjoy this too.
Holy crap this ended way longer than I wanted it to be! This was supposed b a short little draft. Fuck me! This post might b edited later into 2 or 3 parts so it's more palatable. Spoilers for Spy and the Liar plus Cog in the Machine.
Now on to the AU where the agent becomes the monster they feared they'd become.
So with how Zoraxis works, agents don't really get a "handler" but when they 1st start working for the corporation, they get their mission briefing and report back to Solaris. Their relationship starts off neutral but becomes more antagonist as Solaris finds the Agent's destructive tendancies (now amplified since there is no positive influence for them) to be more of a danger to the operation as a whole.
Unfortunately for Solaris, as long as they continue to have successful missions, they will keep climbing the corporate ladder, and climb they do. It's pretty easy to when the standard for being a good Zoraxis minion is just surviving a mission (which admittedly is the same for The Agency) and being to come back alive with a success is noteworthy. With a few victories under their belt, the agent makes it into Zoraxis' inner circle.
Now nicknamed Agent Vulture, the agent acts the the personal bodyguard and hitman for Zor, Solaris, and the Fabricator. Mind you Zor never really leaves their hideout and Solaris at this point hates them, so the only one who really uses their services is the Fabricator.
The Fabricator seems to enjoy, or is atleast entertained, by their company. She evens learns sign language in order to better communicate with them. She discovers, that while not nearly as smart as her, the agent is pretty clever and has some great ideas. For example, they suggest making it company policy to NOT leave documents in the same room where such information can be used against them.
There's, at first, some push back by employees saying it would be inconvenient, but with the help of Fabricator's influence (and Agent Vulture threatening to burn everyone and everything a person ever loved to any individual who doesn't comply) it becomes standard company procedure. The agency is still able to get a few secret company files (too many guards are willing to assume the sound of broken glass is simply the wind), but there is a noticeable decline in data breaches
Because of this security improvement, The Agency is woefully unprepared for Zor's Death Engine. The Death Engine doesn't completely eradicate the agency but leaves them with little resources and a huge deficit in manpower. The Agency then decides to put what little resources they have into the robot agent project that Dr. Prism purposed
The robot agents do make things better for the Agency, as they are able to survive the numerous deadly traps that Zoraxis throws at them. Many are destroyed, but the information they bring back with them makes it almost worth the wasted resources.
Feeling cocky Dr. Prism starts sending them on unapproved missions to kill their biggest threat, Agent Vulture. It ends in complete failure. Time and time again, Agent Vulture completely destroys her machines, and in anger, Dr. Prism puts more and more resources that they can't afford to waste into trying to kill Agent Vulture.
It comes to an end when Agent Vulture is able to bring back an alive robot to Zoraxis Corp., where not only is the Fabricator able to reverse engineer them but also makes a device that Agent Vulture uses to completely wipe out Roxanne's robots. This absolutely crushes her, and while she still works for the Agency, she's a shell of her former self. After this incident, Agent Vulture's profile contains the words "Do Not Engage On Sight; Do Not Engage At All"
It only get worse for the Agency (I'm so sorry!) as Mission Mimic comes to fruition, as with the help of John Juniper, Zor is not only able to get the nuke codes, but also make The Agency an international pariah, forcing them to go underground. Even after the officials are released, most decide to follow Zor as they have become too powerful to oppose.
Some good news, though, is that John Juniper turns traitor and joins The Agency. Seeing that the real officials are now willing to comply with Zoraxis' demands, thus making him useless and seeing the chaos Zoraxis Corp. is unleashing to the world, John, steals the Mimic Mask and nuke codes and looks to the Agency for sanctuary. Using his acting talent and the mimic mask, he is able to secure some funds and information for the agency, and it keeps them a float but it can't last.
That's sorta of the main meat of the AU universe itself. But for those of still here, here's a little extra that could happen.
Zor, hearing that the Agency is still around, demands that the Fabricator build their most ambitious project yet, a time machine. With that, Zor will have Agent Vulture go back in time and destroy the Agency completely and root out all operatives.
The Fabricator is able to finish the prototype, but being impatient, Zor orders the agent to use the device. It breaks right after the agent goes thru. At 1st the agent thinks they've made it back in time, but with some research they figure out that they haven't gone back in time but to a different dimension, where The Agency has had more victories than Zor (aka our timeline). This would also take place a little after the 3rd game.
Agent Vulture's 1st plan is to get into contact with Zoraxis and get the Fabricator to build another dimension portal. In researching Zoraxis, they come across the profile of Agent Phoenix and realize that this is them if they had joined the Agency. Now, the plan is to kill Agent Phoenix, take their place in order to find Zoaxis, and take down the Agency from the inside.
At some point, they confront Agent Phoenix, kill them (or so they think), and take their place at the Agency. Living as 'Agent Phoenix' let's them experience all the things they thought they don't deserve could never have. Being seen as a hero, having a friend who legitimately cares about them and sees them as a person (yes I'm talking about Reginald!!), and the world not being plunged into chaos.
When the real Agent Phoenix returns, Agent Vulture has now a new, totally not insane plan: Kill Phoenix, ditch Zor, and just permanently live in this timeline. Of course, Agent Vulture is thwarted and feeling bad for them, Agent Phoenix suggests that maybe they should focus instead on improving their own timeline.
Agent Vulture agrees to try, though they're pretty sure if they try to contact the agency, they'd b shot on sight, and they'd probably let them. But Agent Phoenix and Reginald assure them that there will probably be one person willing to hear them out. (It's Reginald; it's always Reginald. If it wasn't obvious before, I hope it is now. He is my favorite character! I am a sucker for older british men looming voice character, i.e., Stanley Parable and Darkest Dungeon). So they contact Dr. Prism (who's on the lamb) and have her build them a similar dimension portal and send Agent Vulture on their way.

i got phoenix for y'all. come get em. i figure this is probably the best place to stick this so
They like to play catch with themself using telekinesis (they send something a bit away and then fling it up + toward them and then catch it. they can do this for a While. They actually like using their telekinesis to mess around a fair amount tbh)
Technically, they have a lot of skills that aren't really related to their job. Mending clothes & whatnot. They can also cook, although they're not picky
They look younger than they are (they're ~30/31, in most of what i've done with them). This regularly conflicts with their memory issues (they'll place themself around 27 if asked on a bad day). They joined the Agency when they were 25, although they didn't know it was the Agency yet. It was a cover location.
Their memory issues stem from a few things. Stress (not current stress, past stress), their head injury as a kid, & another fun little factor that they have ironically forgotten completely.
Alcohol and most drugs don't do anything to them, which they have used to their advantage (tricking people into thinking they're drunk when they are very much not). Sedatives and anesthesia have to be administered in much higher doses to do anything.
Their vitals are constantly a bit on the low end, which constantly freaks out doctors & the medical group. Their resting heart rate is around 50 bpm, for example.
They're listed as being fluent in Spanish, but they're at least decently capable in a fair number of languages, even if they don't talk.
(The listed reason for this is that they used to work in a "corporate office" that had a lot of clients.)
They can't see Handler's face (depictions in 3 aside). They chalked it up to a security measure and never mentioned it.
Their favorite color is dark blue. (specific hex code just for fun: #00416A)
(It gets long after this, so. heads up)
They are very good at hand-to-hand combat. They also happen to hate doing hand-to-hand combat. Not for any non-violence reasons, but because they can...get away from themself. Sometimes.
They don't talk, although they are technically capable of doing so. Their primary reason for it is actually that they just...don't think they're on a level with anyone they know currently to talk vocally. Handler comes close, but it's difficult for them to catch him in a situation where it's just the two of them, in person, without any odds of surveillance.
(However, there are other reasons. They find it emotionally draining, and there is a bit of a feeling that they just...shouldn't. Being chatty isn't part of their job.)
They like doing tinkering work. They used to pull apart radios and whatnot when they were a kid, and they like to see how things work. (They were internally very fond of Dr. Prism's robots - they eventually wound up rounding up damaged blueprints and schematics and made a small version of one. They used the car robot's data in it, and got it caught up to speed with the current situation.)
They did have an ideological disagreement with Dr. Prism's work, but not because of the robots, and not because the robots were trying to kill them. People trying to kill them is in the job description - so long as the attempt fails, and nobody else is harmed, it's pretty much water under the bridge. The ideological disagreement came from the facet of the robots always trying to kill them - after all, it seems like an awful waste of a handy training target. (Basically, they disagreed with the training methods used. If you kill the person you're training your deathtraps robots on, that means you have to get someone new caught up with the old one's skill, so you can keep getting better.)
They don't wear formalwear very often. Even if it's well-fitted and not tight, they still feel a little suffocated in it.
They were initially considered for a support role outside of the EOD. However, they outperformed their physical trainers and had a knack for disarming traps, so they were moved into the EOD and given the TK implant.
Trying to recall life before they joined the Agency is like trying to see through frosted glass, for them. They can make out vague things, but not much. They know they did something before, but they can't remember what. They are also vaguely aware that "Gail Cline" is not their actual name.
(Their actual name is Casey North, but...well, Casey North died at 20 in a car accident, so.)
When they're not working, they don't do much. They pace around their office, do basic exercises, fidget with the TK implant, etc.
After the events of the Death Engine, Handler mentioned their eyes looked a bit more orange. After the events of the Peace Summit, they noticed that their eyes were distinctly more orange. KBOOM continued the trend, and their eyes are now almost amber (They also have a backlit effect now, which they're deciding to blame on the kinesium).
Handler occasionally comments on the lack of scars they have from Agency work - they try not to think about it too hard.
They act silly and a little bit like an idiot because it's beneficial. During their first few missions, they kept noticing that things were a little too easy, and if they were noticing it, the Agency was definitely noticing. So they decided to act impulsively and irrationally, because a lucky idiot is easier to write off than someone who is a Little Too Good at what they're doing.
(their natural state is ruthless efficiency to the point where it almost seems cruel - this is why they don't fight hand-to-hand. They'll just go straight for the lethal option, no waiting around.)
(Casey North's job when they were pronounced legally dead was as a factory engineer with Zoraxis. People who knew them from work said it was really too bad, they'd had a promotion upcoming.)
#ieytd#ieytd 3 spoilers#<- vaguely. mentioned.#agent phoenix#handler's here too. also there's a fun little bit at the end.#this fucker needs so much therapy and only like 25% of that need is from Agency work

thoughts about prism/fabricator and such. i always kinda thought that prism wouldn't be so interested in this kind of arrangement, reasoning and logic say she doesn't have anything to gain (at first)... but in the same way that she accepted the agreement with Zoraxis where she's desperate enough to prove a point, she's fueled by her desire to find a meaningful relationship here. even if fabby's only into her because she's so similar to solaris.
i think they'd be the type to come to an agreement with this arrangement. Surely their emotions will stay disconnected and professional. Surely they won't develop the longer they get closer to one another. Surely

I know Juniper is likely dead and not coming back.
I know Prism is in hiding and likely not coming back.
I know Solaris left Zoraxis and is likely not coming back.
...but how fucking cool would it be narratively if they all came back to the EOD and Zor was destroyed by their own hubris, the very thing they used to manipulate the main villains of each game?
Like. They thought they were untouchable because they're Zor. They own Zoraxis, they've got access to endless money and resources. But because they treat their workers like canonfodder, they fall at the hands of the very people they take advantage of.
They thought they could rule with an iron fist, they could pick at people's weaknesses and play with them like dolls as means to an end, but ultimately it is all of the people that they wronged on the way, who have seen the way Zor works and have learned little facets of who they are to jigsaw together a solution with all the different things they know to take the doctor down once and for all.
Idk, I think it'd be neat.

ok but like. the fact that prisms affection for Phoenix by the end of the game is borne out of you being "her best creation" and when she saves you its because she doesnt want another one of her creations to be destroyed. shes such a low-empathy Freaque and i love her
