Cause the rat grinders aren’t gonna just be convinced to not do this, regardless of possession or not they’re pretty in with the plan and they’re also really high level like a lv9 spell?? Racism and misogynoir are so apparent in fandom, especially when it comes to shipping because why is it when a white male, sometimes female but I see it more with the former, character is on screen with a love interest, particularly woc, especially if they're black, and even with all the emotional scenes or just moments where they look at one another in ways different from the rest, it's met with "No, they aren't dating/the show is not going to put them together" but let the other love interest be white as well and suddenly it all makes sense? Heck, the examples I mentioned above don't even have to exist between the latter for some to STILL go and believe this rhetoric (eg. some Jace and Helaena shippers because, even if these two only interacted with a dance but yet we see Baela console Jace, after he seeks her out, apparently it's to far fetched to believe that Jacela could be a thing?!)

Sometimes it could be a headcanon that, largely, would make sense (and oftentimes was birth due to lack of respect that the poc characters could have been given by the writers *cough* TVD *cough*), and yet you'd still have people dismissing it left and right and spewing hate. At a HEADCANON! And I'm not saying that just because the other person in the ship is poc that you have to ship them, I'm not, but it's very apparent to many poc fans in fandom that unless the characters are swapping spit and doing the nasty, the possibility of them being viewed in any romantic lens feels too much of stretch even though their white counterparts don't have to jump through the same loops.

thought about the livvy & jace/janus parallels again 378 dead 2992 injured... like wdym they were killed by the exact same sword, with jace being stabbed in the back & livvy stabbed in the front. wdym they were raised on the shores of the exact same lake almost exactly five years apart. wdym they were both came back wrong. the way livvy and janus share the common goal of just wanting to get what they lost too, and they both spend their gotsm stories watching their loved ones with no way to properly interact with them despite how badly they want to.

I've made some refs for Sigil's band members, I'm genuinely very happy with how they came out, even if it took me a couple days, cuz I hate lining art, plus I decided to draw a fuckin drum set for Jace's ref. I fucking can't with myself, post 4am decisions are totally fun./s

The main reason why Jace's has a drum set though is just cause I wanted to show what part of the band each of them are. Jace is the drummer, Muse is the guitarist, Austin is the bassist, and Sigil is the vocalist...But fuck drum sets are a fucking pain to draw. Also also I'm so fucking happy with the name I came up with for their band, it's on the bass drum of Jace's drum set, "Troll 'N Crossbones," I love plays on words, and i just fucking loved this one.

another thing about tmi that kind of caught me off guard me while rereading is not only that jace genuinely is severely mentally ill but also that it's portrayed SO casually. everyone's just like "oh jace doesnt eat for days whenever he feels bad and he intentionally hurts himself all the time and he doesn't sleep and he has trauma flashbacks and a compulsive need for order and cleanliness and he has very violent intrusive thoughts and he tries to kill himself every 3 weeks or so hes soooooo edgy 🙄 anyway moving on"

Jace, sweetie, you never did anything wrong no matter what some in the fandom are saying, and you are entitled to question your mother because even if she proclaims you as her heir, the stark differences between you and your younger siblings are very apparent and when she dies who knows what will happen to the throne you were supposed to sit on, what will happen to you? Especially given that you are now mirroring your mother when she was younger, being anointed as her father's heir but met with uncertainty at every turn because said father did little to reassure her as well as those she would be ruling over. So no, I don't think you're making things more difficult, especially because the questions you are asking also tie into the succession crisis you and your family are currently fighting. Just because you get a little touchy with your mother doesn't make you wrong!
