Hermitcraft: Iskall

By now many of you would have gotten the news about Iskall's departure due to complaints. We also got confirmation that no minors were involved by Mumbo Jumbo himself. I hate that this is a sentence that is going to come out of my mouth because THAT SHOULD BE THE NORM AND NOT THE EXCEPTION, but thank fuck for that. So can breathe a little easier. So let me be clear about some things: WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! And we are NOT GOING TO FORCE an explanation from the Hermits until they are ready. I know some of you are young/new, take it from me. Speculation on what happened and why will not get you anywhere. You will just spin yourself into a down spiral, that will not help you in the long run. DO YOUR RESEARCH! I know it will be easy to fall into the pit traps of speculation and misinformation. For now, let them be. Let me repeat myself: Let The Hermits Be. They need their time to take care of things and sort out their own emotions. You have probably already seen thumbnail changes and shop changes. It's going to happen and just let it run its course. For now focus on yourselves. And to the former Iskall Fans who might be feeling guilty right now: You are not at fault in any way, shape or form. You are not a bad person for liking him in the past. And for the rest of you, from what I am here people are being mature and good on you for that. Just wait and see what happens for now alright? You're doing good, I know there is a lot of shit going on right now outside of this and all this might have been a massive blow. Just, please, take care of yourself in the meanwhile. We don't know and we are not owed anything until they are ready. So sit down, have some water and take a breath. Anyways LD signing off. Side note from my writer's blog regarding my fanfiction Zoids Era's End if that interests you: I knew that when I wanted to include any minecrafter from all walks of SMPs and so on, I might run into an issue like this. For now I will not be including Iskall in that group. In fact a change was already made before all of this went down which I guess works out in my favor. Always ready to pivot on the dime I suppose.

Introducing Myself, etc.

Hi everyone, LD here!

It's been a long time since I've been active on tumblr, especially on writeblr. I've wanted to get back into it for a while, but between work, school, and other life stuff, I haven't found time or energy.

But things have changed, and now I have an excuse! So I nuked my previous blogs (livingdeadtransboy/livingdeadwriteblr) because I felt like I had to start fresh. This is the one place you'll find me now.

This is a writeblr for sure, but I want to make it clear that this is also the place I will reblog all the random shit that makes me happy too. So if you only want to follow pure writeblrs, you are out of luck with me.

I have one WIP for now, a group of short stories I'll talk about more shortly, and I plan on posting snippets of poetry and unrelated writing as well, and I do dabble in fanfiction occasionally!

I hope to interact as much as I can! I look forward to maintaining this blog (as much as I can). See you all soon!

Last Response Before the Matter is Put To bed. Hermitcraft/Vault Hunters.

First of all, to everyone being calm and rational about the whole situation, let me say that I am proud of you. I know for many this has been a tough blow. But keeping your head on your shoulders and being patient and waiting for more information? Good job, take a breath. Now lets get onto the main issue. I did look through the documents thanks to folks making them easier to access for those of us (Me in this case) who don't have Twitter. I've always been a firm believer to stay on the fence and wait until statements are made, receipts here and there (doesn't need to be detailed but providing evidence is always helpful). And more importantly, do not ignore the victim. You never know until you hear everything and see it all. It's a lesson I learned the hard way. I'm also looking at character study and who is involved. Which is why I was quick to halt any work that involved the subject at hand until I had everything in my hands. Obviously, and this should go without saying, it is all real, the screenshots are real, not fabricated and the victims of this are real. I've been with Hermitcraft for a long time, I've been with Minecraft for even longer than that. So when all of this came out, it stung. I'd like to think with years of experience it would jade me enough. But I suppose when this hits pretty close to home? It's hard to say. I met my dearest friends through Hermitcraft. And I've had acquaintances where were Iskall fans. Obviously no longer. With that in mind, let me say this. To the victims of his actions, I wish you well and healing. I hope that you can find peace with everything that has happened. Good luck for wherever life may take to.

Strangely enchanting, glaringly caucasian as he is. Somehow I am put in mind of sapphic lady knights like Joan of Arc and Cassandra Pentaghast and Chappel Roan. At the same time he looks like a regular from the Hallmark movie casting stables playing younger than his age. 6/10

The first time I saw this painting was a small, slightly off-colored paper cutout on a bulletin board at church, and I thought Moroni's face was much rounder and I was delighted at the prospect of a Moroni who looked a little chubby, known bear enjoyer that I am. Alas, I was wrong. But he's still quite handsome. 8/10

Oh, hello! An artist who remembered Moroni was in his twenties when he was appointed to his position! See that determination in those lovely dark eyes! Oh, and the curly hair! 8/10

First of all, we love a man who respects women. See that kindness in his expression. He is so strong, but being so gentle with his strength. Second of all: Daddy. He's got MUSCLE, and not in the bodybuilder way like some of these other paintings. Look at that nose just made for kissing, that hair just made for brushing strands out of his face, that beard just made for gently scratching your cheek. 10/10 PLEASE come sweep me off my feet and demand better of my government.

laying awake at night thinking about how even though every time i play honest hearts im like 'joshua graham is the hottest man alive' i end up upsetting myself when i think about how likely it is that some of the legion's culture and attitudes are probably more influenced by joshua's own lds culture and belief than caesar's read on ancient rome. like caesar straight up doesn't subscribe to the belief that women are physically or mentally inferior, he just thinks it's more practical to make sure there's no wombs wasted because minmaxxing, and we know that because the writers told us that. hell, most of the 'senior' legionaries (the dudes caesar chills with in the tent) don't give a fuck that you're a woman beyond it being a novelty. so where's the shit about women being below notice coming from? where's the aggressive misogyny coming from? where's this stuff about women being biologically inferior to men even though they're the only ones who can make more legionaries coming from? now I'm not pointing any fingers here but i did enough time in the LDS church to know that despite the PR, they're still all about the idea of women being more gentle and emotional and unstable in the face of conflict and just not as together about things outside keeping a home as men are, and i can't imagine the lds church's attitudes before the great war were much different to how they were in the 50s irl, and like even in doctrine it's pretty specific how they feel about women. so who was translating and instructing these news tribes as they were coming in and getting indoctrinated? Who was translating the rules and taking those first questions from the tribals about why the women had to go to Flagstaff and have babies? joshua bell-bottom-jeans graham. and yeah he's probably way better about that now following his burned man apology tour back to new canaan, but do you think when the courier shows up and starts kicking ass or when waking cloud smacks someone so hard with the bear claw that they go to the moon that he feels guilt knowing what he would have had the legion believe about them? that's all im saying, that's all im saying.

Lately I've been wondering what the mormon stance on Dissociative Identity Disorder(DID) is. I figure that the church is generally against dissociation (be IN the world, not of the world), but in regards to becoming a system that's not really something you can walk back into not being a thing. Culturally I reckon it's hit or miss depending on who you interact with most in the church and what their personal beliefs and politics are. From denial at any level to educated understanding of the mechanics.

What's the church you mentioned at your intro ive never heard of it before?

You might recognise us better by the term Mormon, although our prophet has asked us to not use the term because it takes Christ out of the focus of our name :] It is a Christian denomination of church!

I will leave it at that so I don't infodump too much....but there is a lot of false information about our church so I am happy to answer more questions! Alternatively, our Church has a website churchofjesuschrist.org :D
