This is a little hobbit lake house on Pine Lake in the small town of Gonvick, MN. Built in 2023, the home is really surprising inside. It has 2bds, 1ba, and priced at $189k.

The hobbity door opens right into the kitchen. How convenient for bringing in groceries.

Love this door.

It's cute. Note how the cabinets had to accommodate the curved ceiling.

So, I would call this a dining/living room combo. Interesting area behind the kitchen.

Through that area there's the bath. It's a shower room with a small sink and shower stall.

What an interesting bedroom! It's big, and look at the curve.

Bedroom #2 is the same shape, but has a different color floor.

There's a large deck out front with a flower box that matches the house and a big covered bench/table set.

Behind the house there's a sauna.

Very nice inside and room for several people.

There's 4.70 acres of land.

The path to the lake is long. I wouldn't worry about flooding too much, b/c the lake is a ways away. Ironically, the street that the house is on is called Boardwalk Dr.

Eventually you get there to your very own dock.

It's a cute property.

We just got to our airbnb on Lake Como and uh. Holy shit.

Thinking about how Sparrow has a found family outside of their hero friends.

The Bower Lake camp is their family. When you start the game if you loiter you can hear people wish you a happy birthday, they immediately believe in you while people outside of it couldn't care less about you. The people captured by Thag know you, if you take too long to let them out the woman goes "You wouldn't do this to us, would you Sparrow?"

Sparrow isn't alone, they're angry and hurt over Rose, but they are loved, and the people of the camp see them as one of their own.

Like yes, Hammer Garth and Reaver understand them on a level the dwellers can't. They understand Sparrows hurt and trauma, Hammer and Sparrow see the most important person die in front of them, Garth and Sprrow experience the spire, and Reaver connects to those darker parts of them.

But at the same time the dwellers understand a part of them those three can't. They raised them, they saw them through the injuries Lucien left, and tried their hardest to fill as much of the hole left behind from Roses death. They're part of why Sparrow maintains the ability to be positive, and funny because that is far from Theresas list of things Sparrow needs to be. Sparrow dances and plays the lute, and you can't convince me that they would be doing those things without the positive influence of the camps inhabitants.

In Sparrow Theresa saw the key to getting the Spire, Lucien saw a road block, but the dwellers saw a child, and fully embraced and loved them. Gave them as much as the possibly could, and kept a home open for them always should they wish to use it.

I like her. I could say more but that would be another post. Look at the background. This part specifically.

There's a private beach roped off here. It looks pristine compared to the polluted waters Ishmael's boat is in. Hell, the water is green over here.

Makes me wonder if sections of the lake are roped off for nest-dwellers only. And these beaches are kept clean, meanwhile on the other side of the ropes, the beach seems to be an industrial waste dumping ground.

Summary: Walter finds out the hard way that children should not be left under-attended with drawing implements. An impromptu nap while on child duty leads to an unfortunate...or perhaps a very fortunate mishap with chalk. Barbara and Walter navigate the difficulties of communicating and executing intimacy with a small child in the home, while also trying to teach the ever-important lesson of consent.

I saw a headcanon and was struck with inspiration that would not let me go. This was supposed to be a drabble, but I have no self-restraint.

Caaaaamp! It's been good. Probably the easiest start and integration into the group at the beginning of the summer training that I've had. I was flitting between tables and saying hello to everyone returning and new. Jumping into conversations. Sharing compliments, asking about the year we've been away. Easily reuniting with friends and peers. At like 8pm I ran out of energy to show emotions on my face bUT LIKE we okay. It's fine.

TODAAAY got up early, ate good food, planned a dinner cookout with my cabin, walked, did low ropes, tower, canoes, lunch, practiced guitar, walked some more, got the pool spiel, did archery and arts and crafts and nature museum, did said cookout with coals on a grill (we made foil packets with rice and it turned out really good?! Also banana boats,) and then campfire and we sang and I played my guitar and we have a real fire this year wow!, and now we're back in the dining hall with wifi and playing cards and one of the old time staff are playing guitar, and I'm coated in a thin layer of dirt and sunscreen and sleepy tired and it's good. -v-

1930 Hippie commune in Vermontville, New York. It has 6bd. 3ba. $1.111M. It’s pricey b/c it’s on 27.5 acres, b/c the house is not worth that much and not all of the cabins have electric.

This room is nice, though, it has the knotty pine walls and nice stone fireplace.

It’s odd, but the rooms are long and narrow in the main house. I don’t know what this room is supposed to be, but it has a nice stone fireplace.

They have a nice dining table set up outside the kitchen on a porch.

The kitchen is big, has a separate open area, and a stripper pole.

I guess this would be a dining room.

Look at this. Some kind of apothecary, and look at all the electrical outlets.

According to the description, the land will never change b/c it’s “deeded forever wild,” which would also mean that a buyer would pay all that money and not be able to build. It’s nice, but I wish the residence was nicer.

The world has been off kilter for a while Mary supposes but they’re together in the ways that matter, even if the nights feel longer. Away from the howling, screeching creatures turned to stone with gnashing teeth.

She wishes they’d been like those cheesy zombie movies instead, they’re not. If only two of them hadn’t been so stupidly heroic. Darci and Toby watch from the porch every morning, in the creaking swing when sunlight hasn’t graced them yet.

From this distance their eyes, forever trapped inside bodies that don’t match, almost look like how Mary imagines and remembers them.
