1930 Hippie commune in Vermontville, New York. It has 6bd. 3ba. $1.111M. It’s pricey b/c it’s on 27.5 acres, b/c the house is not worth that much and not all of the cabins have electric.
This room is nice, though, it has the knotty pine walls and nice stone fireplace.
It’s odd, but the rooms are long and narrow in the main house. I don’t know what this room is supposed to be, but it has a nice stone fireplace.
They have a nice dining table set up outside the kitchen on a porch.
The kitchen is big, has a separate open area, and a stripper pole.
I guess this would be a dining room.
Look at this. Some kind of apothecary, and look at all the electrical outlets.
This bd. has 2 bds.
Another bd. They’re big, but they’re also that narrow shape.
Not the prettiest bath.
See how narrow the hallway is.
2nd fl. bd.
2nd fl. bath.
And, another 2nd. fl. bd.
This building has a painted garage door, but I think it’s one of the cabins.
Small cabin for sleeping.
And, I’m going to say that this is one of the cabins that doesn’t have electricity.
The barn is a communal space.
Multi-purpose, I would imagine.
According to the description, the land will never change b/c it’s “deeded forever wild,” which would also mean that a buyer would pay all that money and not be able to build. It’s nice, but I wish the residence was nicer.

I GOT SOME CATS TO HOCK (ohio edition)
are you in/around Ohio? do you want two of the most perfect kittens in the world? do you want to do me a solid? my friend has these two kitties that she's trying to rehome, and since I've done a few Kitten Rehomings on tumblr, I would like to do it again!! INFO: - green eyes kitten's name is Emmit, blue eyes is July! (you can rename them obv though) - they're both very fluffy and in excellent health - they are extremely, extremely socialized, and they don't want to do anything except be on your face and/or body. they are bottomless pits of love and affection, motivated purely by their need to snuggle. - they love eachother, and need to be rehomed as a pair! which is a pro, not a con, imo, bc they can keep eachother company when you aren't there. if you're interested at all, or you have specific questions, you can hit me up in tumblr IMs! or if you prefer email, use my commission email: [email protected]
reblogs are appreciated! :3
#I've had great luck so far w rehoming kittens to a rotating cast of the lesbians following me#you don't need to be a lesbian to adopt a cat through me but it doesn't hurt#you'll talk to me first but then I'd give you my friend's number if I think you're a good fit for the kittens!#also if you are cool enough then you might be able to come down to the camping property that they live on#you could get a tour of the cabins or perhaps look at their sheeps.#but no promises on that front ALL I CAN PROMISE ARE KITTENS#but while you're there maybe you wanna stay in a cabin. idk#sergle.txt#signal boost

It's the penultimate episode, I've got some words for P'Dome that he'll never get to hear but most importantly I'm here to congratulate Peach and Home on not breaking up this episode. So let's get to it!
1
We begin with Home being sad looking at their ad while thinking about his gramps trying to teach him the meaning of "home"
But while Pangpang puts it plainly into words
Home is apparently so dense that he still hasn't figured it out
We've been seeing quite clearly, and Home seems to be aware on a subconcious level at least, that Peach and the rest of the squad have become his home. But well, Home the man, clearly put all his character points into cuteness leaving none for intelligence so I guess we'll have to wait for the last (TT) episode for him to finally get it.
2
Peach has gotten to know Home very well. So of course he can tell that there's something up with his platonic? boyfriend. (on the first watch i thought this was him fishing for "Home is so sad that you're leaving"-validation)
He's also totally definitely not at all worried about Home. I'd say acting isn't Peach's strong suit but he did quite well with the fuckery they put on so I guess it's a case of the old can't-lie-when-it-comes-to-love.
Despite his utter non-worry he still delegates Home-care to Kan which kind of implies that he sees it as his job to take care of him. (and shows how much he is worried and cares about Home but that's not really news at this point)
3
Even Kan is teasing them about their relationship now.
4
Sure, their fight turned out to be somewhat staged to distract evil lawyer but the sentiments are nontheless quite real. The familiar territory of fighting allows them to finally speak out their feelings about what happened at the end of last episode. And, surprise, surprise, both are hurt by the idea of being left by the other, of ultimately not meaning that much to each other. (as I said, abandonment trauma rearing its ugly head) At this point, regardless of their relationship status maybe they should just get married so they'll finally feel some security in their importance to each other. (this is almost definitely not a good solution to this sort of problem irl, of course)
5
It's a good thing they've been perfecting their nonverbal communication over the course of the show. It comes in quite handy in situations like this.
6
Surrounded by the betrayal from his blood family, Home knows there's someone he can always trust.
Peach. And the rest of the gang. His real family. (+ the friends they made along the way)
7
This scene was honestly the cutest shit. The way he goes from his legs raised in happiness, to lowerd in disappointment, to swinging with giddieness. The way he's hiding under his duvet to secretly talk to his boyfriend on the phone. Ridiculously cute. This man is so in love. And he shows it like a stereotypical 12 y/o girl.
And Peach isn't any better with his arms on display and that fondness in his face.
8
Peach really doesn't want Home to go back to America.
But while he's not getting that reassurance for now (I can't bring myself to believe he'll actually leave. Not after everything, not when the reason for his exile has been resolved, not when he's finally found the meaning of "home" so his grandpa would have allowed him to come back, anyway. And how ironic btw, that he had to come home first and face the consequences of his actions, in order to find his meaning of "home"), at least he gets some surprisingly clear real-talk on Home's feelings.
9
Peach is smelling the bs on uncle and he's not looking to become a widower. He already watched Home die once, he's really not inclined to repeat that experience.
Unfortunately he let's Home convince him it'll be fine (and unfortunately Home has retained a lot of that naivete that he displayed when he first met Kan) so he's left behind to worry about Home's safety.
10
This plan from the uncle is absolutely evil. To not only kill his nephew but make people, possibly even Home himself, believe that Peach is the one who killed him? To destroy his nephew's most important person in the process, not only worldly by framing him for murder, but also spiritually by having someone (Home!) die from his cooking? I'm sure to Kid this was mostly a matter of hitting two flies with one stone but whether intentional or not this plan is clearly designed for maximum cruelty. And it's made even more cruel by the love and trust Home and Peach clearly have for each other, plain for everyone, even the evil uncle, to see. But he doesn't even grant Home the knowledge of being loved at the point of his death.
Stop trying to bury our gays you pos uncle!
11
As a palate cleanser, please enjoy this image of the whole happy family. Including the dads, their daughter + her wife, and ... Suradech!
Lesbian Corner
Kan has been spending so much time with Pangpang that she's internalising her speech patterns.
And THIS is her reaction when Peach calls her out on it. Someone's in luuurve!
#every week i feel like i have hardly anything to say#and then i can barely fit all my screenshots into the post#also suradech: i'm sorry i ever doubted you. i hope you'll be ok next week#it's fine. after they've dealt with kid and grandpa they can all move to chiang mai together#after all peach's new appartment has two bedrooms. so pangpang can finally have her girlpower room with kan#and home can fulfill his pre even liking him dream of sharing a bed with peach#and i guess suradech can camp in the living room? maybe they've even got a pull-out sofa#it works i promise#peaceful property#peaceful property the series#also from the moment kid rolled out his teary confession i was (silently) screaming at peach to not let that man get in stabbing reach to#home and later to trust his instincts and go save home but alas. p'dome wants us all to get stress ulcers it seems

we all know and love "because someone fucking has to" and "you deserve to be happy, and I hope that you can find that here at camp" and for good reason- but can I share the scene that encapsulates the show for me? what i think is its thesis statement of sorts. I have so many thought on this so bare with me but:
It's from "Cameron Campbell the Camp Campbell Camper" - at the very end when David and Cameron are having their confrontation and Cameron is raving about David chosing a bunch of "bratty children" over him. and David says "That's the job. You really don't get that do you?"
Cameron thinks that because David is his employee, and more then that views Cameron as a father figure - he "owes" him blind obedience. And at that point, Cameron viewed all of the kids at camp as walking representations of their parent's wallets. Cameron doesn't see anyone - but especially not children - as people worthy of respect. Children are just devices through which he makes money. That philosophy includes and has always included David, who's literally been making Cameron money for over a decade as both camper and councilor.
David on the other hand sees things for what they are. It doesn't matter that Max is a troublemaker or that Nurf creates problems or that none of the campers listen to him - at the end of the day they are human beings deserving of care and happiness. David doesn't see children as extensions of their parents, meant to be entirely obedient to adults. Instead he sees them as young individuals who are learning to be alive for the first time and are going through all the trial and error of being a Person. And children being infuriating and disobedient is both understandable and comes with the territory of being an educator/caretaker/parent. Children are "bratty" because so far that's the only way they know how to demand for needs that aren't being met (think: "you have every right to be angry" convo). And THAT'S THE JOB. the job is teaching them how to grow, and communicate, and to make sure they're safe all the while.
as I see it, one of the running themes in the show is "even flawed people deserve a chance at community/redemption/joy." and that's something that David full-heartedly believes. I think he pities Cameron in that moment because he recognizes that Cameron both 1) doesn't see the source of genuine joy David finds in his job, and 2) is incapable of extending grace to kids learning how to be better people. and by extension is incapable of extending that grace to anyone else -including himself. (A realization Cameron later has in "Candy Kingpin") David pities him because Cameron can't see the humanity in children, and also cannot recognize that humanity within himself.
Another thing I also love about this scene is Max's reaction. When Max is upset, he defaults to anger. That's where what he's most comfortable with expressing, that's the feeling most familiar to him. So when he asks David "You seriously feel sorry for this piece of shit? How are you not pissed?" It comes from such a genuine place of concern and sense of injustice. Because in that scene, it wasn't enough that Max outsmarted Cameron. And it wasn't enough that the Millers were already aware of his plans. Max specifically seeks out a reaction from David. He wants - or at the very least expected - David to be angry. This can be read so many ways but the way I see it - this is Max's way of relating to someone, or hoping to. Max often doesn't understand David's POV, but anger is a place where he can meet him at. MAX is angry at Cameron, he can't fathom someone feeling any type of sympathy for him- let alone pity. It almost comes across like Max is angry FOR David in this scene. Because at the end of day, despite all their differences, Max still won't stand for David being unfairly screwed over. But let me know if you see it differently :)
To make a long story short, what I perceive as the "thesis statement" of the show (or at least one of the things I took away from it) is this critique on how parents view children as an extension of themselves rather than their own people. which enables parents to mistreat their children because they have the "right" to - and the antitheses to that being genuine communication and recognizing that you as an adult still have things to learn. even if it's from kids. and it's your job to both listen to and protect them.
#this post works better if you're already familiar with the concept of how we're conditioned to believe that children are property#but i think my point is clear either way?#camp camp#david camp camp#cameron campbell#max camp camp#take this entire post with a grain of salt cause i haven't rewatched this show since rooster teeth died#i'm sure yapping a lot for someone who doesn't have a crystal clear memory#but hey if you disagree feel free to chime off - i would actually love to talk about this with someone

Scams, Fakes, Performance, & Belief
Peaceful Property: On Sale, ep. 4
This week's episode was filled with fakes: online order scams, magicians, compromised democratic processes, and a fake ghost. What reasons do we have to believe in anything? Everything is just an attempt to pull the wool over our eyes while the rugs get pulled out from under us so others can make a quick buck and protect their own hide. Who wants to be fooled by all the shams?
Pangpang does. Jan Ployshompoo has been fantastic in this role, and she got to devour this episode. Jan specializes in a 'camp' performance style that's easy to undervalue. 'Camp' acting involves overacting the characters and emotions, and lesser actors often approach it with self-awareness and cynicism. Jan understands my favorite note on camp that Susan Sontag wrote.
“56. Camp taste is a kind of love, love for human nature. It relishes, rather than judges, the little triumphs and awkward intensities of “character.” . . . Camp taste identifies with what it is enjoying. People who share this sensibility are not laughing at the thing they label as “a camp,” they’re enjoying it. Camp is a tender feeling.”
The tender affection in Jan's 'camp' hits the themes of this episode home (no pun intended) because she infuses compassion for her over-the-top characters. They get to have range and reasons for their shallowness.
Pangpang's manic overperformance as a social-media influencer has been all about naively buying into every gimmick for herself and from others. Home, probably from his own similarities, points out to Peach how she's doing this as a form of compensation. All along she needed to believe in something because she needed to believe in her brother, to believe when no one else would in his debilitating fear and grief. She didn't need evidence to believe he saw ghosts as he said. She needed to believe she could be there for him even if she didn't know how. Pangpang chooses enchantment because staying true to her brother and her own feelings of loss over their parents are more important than being the winner of some existential argument.
The problem of deception lies at the heart of performance, and I often have a sense that performers and production crews invest a little more when they have to address it (Foei Patara who played Chobkol GAVE!). They have to prove that there is value and truth in the make-believe and assisting people in doing it. For a while, they need their audience to return to the magic of childhood so that they'll clap to show they believe in fairies when Tinkerbell's light begins to fade.
I loved how Peaceful Property symbolized this return to innocence as an egg, a kind of spiritual rebirth. If we want to believe in the magic of fantasy (Kan), the potential in ourselves (Peach), and the value of others (Home), we have to let go of our guarded cynicism. It won't eliminate the harsher truths of reality. They'll arrive one way or another. But we don't need to be the person who crushes our own dreams or who crush others' dreams just because we're scared of being vulnerable. We need to be people like Pangpang who want to believe and help others on their journey to believing good things are possible.
#there's a quote about camp from Zadie Smith that has to do with class aspects that I think are relevant to this show#but i didn't include it for this little write-up#and i also wanted to talk about the X-Files 'I want to believe' but it ended up not being fully necessary#but I do think the X-Files would make for a great comparison to this show's depth and ideas about faith and spirituality#peaceful property#peaceful property the series#peaceful property on sale#jan ployshompoo#taynew#i also wonder what the girl died of because of all those pox or lesions#i just cried a lot okay??????

Blue the Raptor’s characterization in the movies and the tv show is honestly very funny to me at this point… there’s only so many times you can chase the human protagonists around and then do an about face and let them go or literally save their lives before I stop viewing you as a dangerous maneater and start viewing you as a cranky old woman harmlessly waving her cane at the neighborhood kids
#it’s so funny whenever she shows up in camp cretaceous#she’s just like i thought i told you darn kids to stop trespassing on my here property >:(#favorite character in the franchise is the killer dinosaur that is actually gruff guy w a heart of gold trope#you think she’d get tired of all the drama and at least eat one of them#jurassic park#jurassic world#jurassic world camp cretaceous

Caaaaamp! It's been good. Probably the easiest start and integration into the group at the beginning of the summer training that I've had. I was flitting between tables and saying hello to everyone returning and new. Jumping into conversations. Sharing compliments, asking about the year we've been away. Easily reuniting with friends and peers. At like 8pm I ran out of energy to show emotions on my face bUT LIKE we okay. It's fine.
TODAAAY got up early, ate good food, planned a dinner cookout with my cabin, walked, did low ropes, tower, canoes, lunch, practiced guitar, walked some more, got the pool spiel, did archery and arts and crafts and nature museum, did said cookout with coals on a grill (we made foil packets with rice and it turned out really good?! Also banana boats,) and then campfire and we sang and I played my guitar and we have a real fire this year wow!, and now we're back in the dining hall with wifi and playing cards and one of the old time staff are playing guitar, and I'm coated in a thin layer of dirt and sunscreen and sleepy tired and it's good. -v-
#rays random ramblings#camp rambles#gonna shower and sleep. nIIIIIGHT#actually might join the guiatrs and sing awhile#there's hay bales on the archery range (including the targets) now which is good I think it's helpful#catches stray arrows so you don't have to go wandering so far out into the tall grass to find them#will the neighbor's cows get on property again this year and eat the hay? we'll find out!#going through and doing all the program areas (ropes. lake. a&c. etc) and going over what to expect#and how to best help campers and other staff in each area#program yaaay!

honestly if you live in a blue state and can afford a decent home and all your meds/food/utilities i want to hear NOTHING in regards to us in red states
i live in greg abbott's red texas. you know, the largest state that borders the most vilified neighboring country and receives the majority of latino immigrants + has a huge black population + a lot of arab and asian immigrants
i will not tolerate blame put on the people in red states who are constantly harassed and belittled because of their race, origin, religion, gender, and economic status
you want someone to blame? blame your party who did nothing to get people out of poverty, did nothing in response to police violence and killings, did nothing for palestine/lebanon, did nothing in response to abbott and desantis' vitriolic anti-latino racism and policies
democrats did what they do best, follow the right-leaning trend and lose to republicans
#literally there are more and more homeless people everytime i go into the city#doesnt matter which city#we have homeless people here in my town which is a hell to travel on foot because we literally have a highway cutting through everything#there are no sidewalks and barely any places for camping that arent private property#majority of people i check out at work use ebt cards for food#and even then its mostly white people that have access to those government funds#most of the latinas that i check out are vigilant in their coupons just to make sure they can afford necessities for their homes#using money that their husbands are breaking their backs for because its the only job available to them#shits been getting worse and worse here no matter who was president#and it will continue to get worse#people are already dying it will be an epidemic#and im trying my best to better my family's situation so i can be quicker in helping my neighbors#but even then i fell like itll be too late by the time it comes down to that#just#do more#be a good person to everyone regardless of if they share your political views#cus ill tell you something when people are in survival mode and wanting to claw themselves out they will find any justification for bigotry#they will find someone to blame for their circumstance because its not normal to live like this#some blame the government and some blame immigrants#feed them and show them that people are not their enemy its the fucking rich assholes in government keeping them at the bottom#so that rich assholes stay on top no matter what happens to the world around them#the entire world could be burning and they still will be wasting money because its nothing to them

What first made you ship chengqingxian?
several factors! Mostly the fact that I love when all of JC's important relationships except JL are because of/thanks to WWX, and the friendship between WWX and WQ is my favorite (she's his intellectual equal! she's the one person he respects! she's the one who said the thank you and I'm sorry line, which he remembers and respects in his second life! do you know how rare that is! they bonded over mad immoral impossible science! to be fair the WN scene of boasting for his sister's achievements did a lot to get me to realize the extent to which she and WWX are similar.). @demoiselledefortune and I had also spoken about WQ/JC as a good possible crackship for JC - that was before Untamed came out.
I like the idea of the three of them together because they all have things they'd prioritize over the other two (not necessarily easily!) and they're all the sort of gremlin who goes "hm, yes in a minute" when being persuaded to go to bed (JC: busy with sect stuff; WQ/WWX: busy with research, or in WQ's case work) and then proceed to work for six more hours. They're cool because whenever there's a disagreement the sides are up in the air, depending on the issue.
Also if I'm going to sexualize the GC transfer I should extend the same logic to WQ's participation. Yes, she wasn't JC's beloved shixiong whom he trusted with everything, but she had them laying down. She's the one who performed the "operation". She impersonated Baoshan Sanren. She lied to JC so she could do what she wanted with him (it was what her brother asked her, and it stroked her ego - to be able to test her theory!) and she betrayed her sect in one fell swoop and it landed her and hers in the BM with a dead brother. Hybris, etc.
Anyway I think her and WWX's dehumanizing of JC for the purpose of the transfer is really fascinating and hot. WQ coming to know JC beyond his being her experimental subject is interesting - especially since when WQ isn't busy committing treason for the sake of ego/science/her brother asked, they have similar priorities! JC coming to know the woman who saved him (on WWX asking!) and whose voice he may still hear in his dreams as Baoshan Sanren's is fascinating! WWX should have a smart friend at home that he can rope into mad science, preferably on one of their loved ones, for their own good! WWX and WQ both can look at JC like this is theirs. They did that. WQ rebuilt him up and WWX is so deeply embedded in JC's identity that if you take it out what's left wouldn't be JC anymore. It's a ship that's easier to implement with a canon divergence starting sometime before JZX bites it, which is a bit inconvenient, or you need to write about WQ surviving if you want to set it after WWX's resurrection, so there are practical downsides. Which probably explains why I haven't written much of them.
they could be happy and there's potential for horrendously fraught and fucked-up crimes against JC's personal agency, so I'm all for it.
#chengqingxian#they're awful and i love them#they could be friends#they have so much shit to work through#also the AU where JC claimed WQ for his betrothed after WWX's attack on the Jin prisoner camp in a desperate attempt#to 1)get WWX back 2) with his pet Wens (so he'd stay) 3)while DESPERATELY trying to not ENTIRELY endanger his sect#cool AU idea#jc is wwx-and-wq property and i love this for them

honestly in the greatest case of tumblr cultural osmosis to date I am sooooo!!!!! emotional these days about doctorrose whenever it comes up on my dash (yes both nine and ten). the only scant few episodes of doctor who I have seen involved martha (queen.)
#really should complete the superwholock trifecta at some point but I am ABSOLUTELY only going to watch that specific era. I am not doing 11+#sorry that the gifsets slay and probably provide vicarious(?) nostalgia(?) by osmosis(???)#kira for ts#I mean before any of these super or lock media properties were on my blog I had seen torchwood. so there’s that#good omens and torchwood the ‘starter pack of scarce gay media’ of a certain era#do feel like sherlock should be dishonourably discharged from the trifecta for being bad but in a hateful way not in a camp way
